Ma rientrare la sera era tutta un’altra esperienza: ci avvolgeva una piacevole sensazione di tranquillità, respiravamo il silenzio e la pace di quel posto magico che riusciva a rilassarci completamente. Il personale sempre gentilissimo, la colazione eccezionale. Ma anche I dettagli di questo posto, gli uccellini, lo scroscio dell'acqua, i divanetti colorati,la cena buonissima, il letto rifatto ogni sera con i petali di rosa profumati....un posto incantevole! Grazie per questo soggiorno!!! Siamo partiti con il desiderio di rilassarci e torniamo a casa rigenerati, ben oltre ogni aspettativa. • Ingrid (10/5): Just as advertised - Loved the daily breakfast with options to enjoy it by the pool or up on the rooftop terrace. Staff were friendly and helpful and warm. They made us feel like we were coming home every day. It is a little far from the souks which is both a positive and a negative. Getting to some of the attractions was always a 30 minute walk. The upshot is there are plenty of taxi in the area. Cafe clock and Eclipse restaurants are a short/easy walk.

• James (9/5): - We visited Riad Hikaya after hearing lovely things from when my parents who stayed in 2014. They mentioned that each room had its own personality and quirks and that the staff were truly welcoming and proud of the oasis that they'd created for each guest. This was still true in 2026. We were greeted with mint tea and pastries and music playing in the room. There's a lovely little rooftop and the Kasbah district is generally a bit quieter and calm in the evenings in comparison to the rest of the Medina. A truly traditional riad experience. • Cibele (10/5): Good experience overall. Location is close enough to walk and far enough to be quiet. - Staff was friendly and helpful. Wadia and Abdul are very kind. The breakfast is good and the overall decoration and feeling of being in a traditional Riad is there. I recommend it. The room I stayed (Karama) is comfortable and beautiful, just a bit small. It’s fine for 1 person but 2 people with luggage might find difficult to have space to even open the bags. The doors don’t lock from inside, which didn’t give me a good feeling, but all was well and safe.

The riad is beautiful, calm and perfectly located near the entrance to the Medina so it’s very easy to reach by taxi. What truly made the experience exceptional was the outstanding level of service — the staff were incredibly warm, attentive, and always happy to help. We had dinner at the Riad multiple times during our stay and each time the food was incredible. Overall we felt genuinely cared for throughout our stay and would highly recommend Riad Hikaya to anyone.

The management in particular deserves a shoutout. Truly wonderful. The breakfast was very nice. Location is great, quite peaceful and tucked away. Nice and quiet. The rooftop is lovely. We expected it to be a little more luxurious and modern than it was, from the pictures. The decor was authentic but not to our taste. Our TV didn't work at all.

• Rebecca (10/5): A very authentic and special place - Riad Hikaya was the perfect place for me and and my friend to stay for 4 nights over New Year's. The location was incredible, being very close (20 minute walk to the main souk) but yet far away enough for it to feel like a very quiet and safe area. The Riad itself was beautiful and authentic, our room was really spacious and clean, and the facilities were 10/10. The breakfast was delicious and very generous. The staff couldn't have done more for us, they were so friendly and helpful and went above and beyond offering us tea, fruit, pastries, water etc, all complimentary. They helped with taxis, restaurant recommendations, and were always on hand to help answer any other questions. It was also my birthday when I was there and the staff surprised me with a cake a song and a cake which was so special. We also enjoyed a Hammam and massage which I would also recommend! I genuinely can't recommend this Riad highly enough! This will not bring my score down from 10, but just as a heads up we had a room on the bottom floor next to the kitchen and the dining area so it was sometimes a little noisy (not crazy loud), so if you are a light sleeper either bring earplugs or ask for a room upstairs.

• Melitta (6/5): not satisfied for the price we paid - The Riad could be reached entirely by taxi which is a plus as many Riads can not. The team was friendly. The riad has really good reviews and our expectations were high as it is not cheap costing 150€ per night. But we have to say it was not to our satisfaction for the price. We stayed in other Riads before for the same price or less and they were much better, more modern, renovated, better breakfast. The room was very small no space for 2 big luggages. the so called swimming pool was not usable, the cleaning lady threw the cleaning water into the pool. the breakfast was ok but we had much better in other places and in general Riad seemed not renovated in a long time loose hanger in bathroom, water pipes took ages for water to run warm etc.. Because we saw so many good reviews we trusted them but I have to say I would not recommend the place for the price.

• tracey (9/5): - The staff were very professional and friendly. The little touches like petals on my bed and the lovely necklace they gave me when I left were a lovely touch. The riad was immaculately clean and tastefully decorated. The rooftop was beautiful, and the view of the Atlas mountains in the morning was stunning. I prefer an authentic riad experience, so I didn't use the TV, but for those people who require one, the room facilitated it. The bathtub was a blessing in December, and I felt like a princess whilst using it. The heating in the room was adequate, and I never felt cold. The riad was quite remote and incredibly quiet inside. During the evening, a few candles and soft music would have been nice. After around 8.00, I felt rather isolated and alone. Everything seemed to shut down. This could be due to the time of year, but there was an obvious lack of atmosphere. I almost felt as though I I was convalescing after a long illness. This is perfect if you're looking for a peaceful, tranquil experience, however.

• Isaline (8/5): Prachtige locatie met excellente staff - Het personeel is ongelofelijk attent, vriendelijk en behulpzaam! Ze bieden een uitzonderlijke service. Iedere ochtend is er een heerlijk ontbijt met koffiekoeken, broodjes, fruit, verse yoghurt en eitjes. Daarnaast bereiden ze iedere ochtend nog een ander soort pannenkoekje en cake. Heel lekker allemaal. Wij hebben ook een hammambehandeling gekregen in de riad die we kunnen aanraden. In onze kamer (gelijkvloers) was er helaas best wat geluidsoverlast 's ochtends vroeg, wat je niet verwacht bij kamers in deze prijscategorie. Vandaar de 8,0.

The staff were warm, attentive and genuinely kind. My room was beautifully prepared, spotless and full of small touches that made the stay feel personal, they made me feel like family, a definite yes for solo female travellers. Breakfast by the pool was a highlight fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. The entire atmosphere feels intimate, peaceful and authentically Moroccan. Nothing major. The medina can get a bit busy when walking in and out, but once inside the riad it’s completely serene. Everything else exceeded expectations

Would highly recommend an - Riad Hikaya is stunning, peaceful and the staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. The location is fantastic, in a quiet area of the very friendly Kasbah district, yet an easy walk to some brilliant cafes and restaurants. The breakfast, served on the roof terrace is superb. Five stars all around. Nothing, it was all perfect.
• HANNA ELSA (10/5): They were such a dedicated team felt like home - The stay was really comfortable and the staff are extremely nice. They did put lots of effort to make our stay special. It was my birthday and they did a surprise cake cutting for me. They decorated our bed with flowers in different patterns each day. I truly appreciate the effort they did to make my birthday special. The food was also extremely delicious.
• Rubia (10/5): A melhor hospedagem de Marrakesh! Supreendente. - Fomos recepcionados pela Nada, que nos recebeu com um belo chá e docinhos marroquinhos após a longa viagem. Ela nos apresentou o Riad, mostrou um mapa do local e nos deu informações preciosíssimas para os nossos passeios pela cidade. Estávamos em nossa sonhada lua de mel e fomos agraciados por um upgrade de quarto incrível! Recebemos frutas, água, petiscos e eu ganhei um lindo buquê de flores. O café da manhã foi surreal de maravilhoso, completo, com muita variedade e sabor local, já que tinham muitos produtos deles dos quais pudemos conhecer ainda mais sobre a cultura. Aproveitamos para jantar no Riad duas vezes e nos surpreendemos mais uma vez com o sabor da comida local. Foi preparado na hora, fresquinho e muito gostoso! Os preços são compatíveis com a cidade e, como estava muito calor para sairmos à noite, preferimos jantar na piscina do pátio. Fiz uma massagem marroquina também com óleo de argan, que foi ótima também. Porém, sugiro que as mulheres vão de cabelo sujo rsrsrs já que a massagista usa o óleo para massagear o couro cabeludo também. Sobre a decoração do Riad, considere tudo extremamente limpo e impecável. De toda a nossa viagem de 20 dias pela Europa, esse Riad foi o nosso maior acerto. Não me hospedaria em outro local jamais, sequer em um hotel. A experiência do Riad é muito incrível para ser desperdiçada em uma ocasião como essa. Tudo o que você ver aqui no booking, considere 10x melhor pessoalmente. O Riad Hikaya é instagramável, único e muito especial.

Сотрудники отеля были доброжелательны и предупредительны, всегда готовые помочь с любым вопросом. После долгих прогулок по городу мы с радостью возвращались в наш уголок умиротворения, где царит идеальная чистота, слышно пение птиц. • Judy (9/5): - The staff were extremely helpful with anything we needed from a taxi to a horse drawn carriage and even willing to try to fix my husband's suitcase which had broken. Lovely people, from Nadel who welcomed us with mint tea, dates and nuts and gave us a tour of the Riad to the young waiters Abdul and Otman and the owner who helped us plan our excursions to the Gardens and to Mamounia for dinner. The building and rooms are beautiful and very ornate. I was given a lovely necklace when we left.
• Ross (10/5): A magical experience with so much to see and do knowing that you will be returning to a peaceful hav - Excellent location near to all that Marrakesh offers but ao quiet behind the Riad door. Breakfast was extremely good with a wide variety of fruits, homemade yoghurt, pancakes, pastries and eggs. Rooms are quirky with decent air conditioning and staff are superb. They will arrange taxis, tuktuks, dinner reservation s (even accompanying us to another Riad for our meal so we didn't get lost) . We also had lunch here one day and dinner one evening and everything was delicious and freshly cooked. We have no problem in recommending a stay here. Nothing to dislike. There are quite a few stairs and I have mobility issues but I managed without a problem.
• Ken (10/5): - Everything was amazing! Even before we got there Wadia was very responsive. Once we were in Marrakech everything was organised perfectly. Literally from the moment we walked in the door of the road to the minute we left Wadia, Nada and the team looked after us.

Tivemos o acolhimento mais personalizado e bem cuidado de sempre. Fizeram nos sentir parte da sua família e trataram nos sempre como se vivessemos ali desde sempre, no final até ofereceram um colar como simbolo disso mesmo. O pequeno almoço era servido sempre à hora que mais jeito nos dava e com muitas opções que iam mudando de dia para dia. Na recepção, ajudaram-nos e aconselharam no que fazer em Marraquexe. Os transfers também foram exímios. Um especial agradecimento ao Wadia, Abdul e Berguija (não sabemos bem como escrever o nome).

• candace lopez (10/5): incredible hospitality and warmest visit ever! - From start to finish the hospitality at Riad Hikaya was exceptional. We were welcomed with mint tea, a tour of the riad, and an intro into what staying at the riad would be like. Neda, our host, was just lovely and I cried when I left! Excellent breakfast, wonderful spa, gorgeous facility. Additionally, as a queer and interracial couple, we were welcomed with open arms. Our existence was no threat to them! I honestly can't think of anything!

The location is fantastic—seconds from local shops and the Saadian Tombs. Our room was spotless and well-stocked, refreshed daily, and the air conditioning made sleep blissfully cool. Breakfast each morning was a dream—pastries, fruit, crepes, omelettes, Moroccan tea or coffee, and fresh juice—served in your choice of serene spots: poolside, terrace, or dining room. The staff truly shine. Everyone we met was kind, incredibly attentive, and full of insightful local tips—better than any guidebook. We booked a private Agafay Desert excursion, arranged smoothly and added to our bill with zero hassle. What really sets Riad Hikaya apart is the sense of home. It was my wife’s birthday during the stay and the staff made it a memorable one by decorating the room and giving her a cake ! The manager waited us with a Moroccan tea and sweets and briefed us just before the check-in regarding the city, what we can see, what to do, what to avoid, how to travel with taxi, etc. The lady in charge was extraordinary, friendly and helped us every time smiling. But not only her, also the other staff members. This was a really traditional experience.
• Tatsiana (10/5): A wonderful place to celebrate a birthday! - The setting is beautiful and unique. The staff are friendly, attentive, helpful, and always ready to assist. I received a bouquet of flowers and a traditional necklace for my birthday – such a sweet and thoughtful gesture! The place is peaceful, despite being so close to the city centre. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. However, it mainly consists of sweet items, which could be an issue if you have dietary restrictions or health concerns. Adding some vegetables to the menu would be a great improvement. Overall, we were very happy with our stay. It was comfortable, cosy, and truly special!

• Tullanjit (8/5): A charming Riad experience with outstanding service that truly added to the magic of Marrakech! - The riad was beautifully styled with traditional Moroccan decor, creating a warm and authentic atmosphere throughout. We especially loved the light and airy rooftop terrace and tranquil courtyard—perfect for relaxing. The hammam was a lovely touch, and Nada’s exceptional service made us feel very at home. The rooms were a little cramped and tight to move around in, especially with luggage. The bathroom taps were a bit dated and took a while to heat up, though this is understandable given the traditional style of the riad.

• Sarah (8/5): Lovely, kind & authentic - Very pretty and nicely cared for. The rooms are ornate and the property is sumptuously decorated in traditional Moroccan decor. Lots of super cute rooms and nooks available for use including the rooftop that has sun loungers, a covered sofa seating area and dining tables on the patio. The staff from top to bottom were fantastic and the customer service was outstanding. Location was great; close enough to the central kasbah and historic sights, easy to get to the medina but far enough away from its intensity. Rooms are smaller than larger hotel chains which only matters because of the insane amount of shopping done in Morocco and therefore the maneuverability inside. If you’re not a shopaholic it shouldn’t be problematic.

We're leave with wonderful memories and a deep appreciation for all they have done. We hope to return someday! Breakfast was freshly prepared and very plentiful. Dinner is also highly recommended. We arrived very early and were able to get into the room straight away and as we flew late at night we were able to use everything until we left, which we really appreciated.

Food was unfussy and very homely. The hammam was a lovely experience as well. I would certainly recommend Riad Hikaya without any hesitation.
• David (10/5): Unforgettable experience, with exceptional warmth from staff, beautiful surroundings & location - We have traveled all over the world, including twice in Morocco, and Hikaya was the most amazing surprise. The pictures do not capture the beauty of the Riad, of the sitting rooms, the terrace, the actual rooms. Or the warmth of the staff. Everyone at Hikaya made us feel like family; everyone smiles, tries their best to fulfill your every request, and is proud and happy to tell you about themselves, their city, their culture and their country. After three nights we had a small group of cleaning personnel and hosts come to the door to see us off, and hugged us goodbye. It felt like we were leaving lifelong friends behind. I was holding tears back when we left, and had never experienced this level of warmth before. A ranking of 5 stars here falls short, but then a ranking of 100 stars would as well. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else if we ever go back to Marrakech. Aside from this, the location was absolutely perfect for us. It felt safe to just walk out the main door and venture into this part of the Medina. We had stayed at other Riads in the city, where this was not the case, so this made the trip there even more enjoyable. Do not miss on the chance to stay at a place that you will not soon forget!
