Ralph (9/5): 3 relaxing days for 3 ladies at the Commander - Location was perfect. We loved our ocean view, and the room was affordable and comfortable. The front desk ladies were very helpful at finding me the best handicapped parking space, which made loading and unloading much easier. Our oceanfront suite was smaller than pictured, but once we settled in it was very comfortable. There was a small issue with the pop-up drain in the bathroom sink, but it was taken care of before we finished unpacking.

michelle (9/5): Best anniversary at the Commander hotel & Resort - It's a great place to stay. The location is right in the middle of almost everything. My problem was, Wifi was, none!!! The room was clean and the hotel over all was very clean. Wifi is really bad..

d102019 (10/5): Excellent location and value - The location of this hotel on the north end of the boardwalk was very beautiful. It was a fairly quiet area, which is nice for my husband (retired) and me (close to retirement). The room was clean and well appointed. We felt the value for the price we paid was excellent. Everything was clean. The staff, from the front desk to housekeeping, were wonderful. It was a family type of atmosphere, but we also felt welcome as "seniors". We didn't use any of the amenities, such as the pool and on-site eating establishments. However, we did enjoy the rocking chairs on the deck near the restaurant. We greatly enjoyed people watching along the boardwalk, the beach, and even in the parking lot, visible from our ocean view room.

It was absolutely not a bedroom and very very very small room and very dirty in the room. As a residential cleaner I can tell the bathroom has not been done in a long time including the shower

Dawne (9/5): This was our first time here. If we return to the area, we will definitely be looking to book here! - The location was excellent. The ocean view was very clear, no instructions. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable. The floors were LVP, not carpet! The balcony chairs were comfortable. We enjoyed the rocking chairs on the deck. The towels were a nice size, not tiny like some places we’ve stayed. Free parking would have been nice; we paid $20 per night. The hallway noises could be heard in our room. There was no desk and only one chair in the room, so most “sitting” inside had to be on the bed. I wish there had been an electrical outlet in the balcony to plug my phone in.

It was very easy to access. The AC didn’t work as well as I thought on the first day it worked well then on the second and third night it didn’t work

Harry (9/5): Clean, neat and great location. - We enjoyed the breakfasts at the Cafe. Location of the hotel was perfect. Front desk staff, especially the front desk manager, were extremely helpful and informative. Housekeeping and maintenance staff that we encountered were very friendly. The balcony door would not stayed closed. This was reported to the front desk upon our departure. The description of the unit on Booking. Com stated that housewares were provided. There were none and front desk staff said they no longer provide them.

alivial2024 (10/5): I won’t be staying anywhere but HERE when visiting OC - 4.5/5!!! Came here for an anniversary trip. Room was HUGE! Clean, bed was so comfortable, bathroom clean. We had a corner room so we had a balcony facing ocean and a balcony facing bay. Most beautiful room I’ve stayed in at ocean city. Front desks staff was so nice. Only rated 4.5 because during or second day we asked front desk to make sure they have housekeeping take out the trash in our r room if possible and it didn’t happen.

Samantha (8/5): - The "ocean view" room may as.well have been ocean front. Completely unobstructed view of the boardwalk and ocean. Room was cozy, bed was comfy. Would definitely stay again. Walls are pretty thin, so I could hear a lot of hallway noise. Could also have just been a lot of noisy people on and off the elevator. I wish the ac would run continuously (but thats just a weird me thing). I was unaware of (or maybe missed) the extra fees at check in for parking and the security deposit, but it didnt put me in a bind. More overhead lighting in the main part of the room would be nice, also.

The room wasn’t the cleanest and the furniture was very updated. The front desk person was always gone and made me wait.

We were incredibly impressed with the quality, size, cleanliness, and comfort of the room. The staff was amazing, especially the woman who works late afternoons and evenings! We did not request housekeeping, just towels, trash emptying, TP, and coffee cups and staff was very attentive to that request.mi will definitely book this hotel again!

Heather (9/5): We have always loved the Commander, but it may be time to find a new favorite hotel. - The location is perfect. It’s getting more expensive and I don’t even get free coffee any more. Also, they now allow dogs. I love dogs, but I also saw people letting their dogs urinate in places where people sit to eat and walk in bare feet.
