The quality of the food. The unwelcoming demeanor of the front office staff. Noise pollution generated by the hotel and the neighboring establishment was disruptive.

- Paul (8/5): Very clean, well presented property with great views, but a bit of a distance to other parts. - Wonderfully presented property, views would have been excellent apart from the haze that was continuous for the three nights we were there. Room was immaculate and staff were very attentive to our needs. The restaurant pricing was in line with a high end establishment but possibly a bit over the top. It was a 20 minute walk into the main town area where we walked each night to eat. The ambience is that expected of a 5 star resort which did feel a little impersonal at times.

Das Büffet zum Frühstück war sehr reich und lecker, genauso wie das Büffet zum Abendessen (für nur 10€ extra pro Person). Warmes Whirlpool abends war auch sehr toll. Leider waren das Glas der Dusche und der Duschkopf in unserem Zimmer nicht mit dem richtigem Abstand gebaut worden und deswegen war das Badezimmer bei jeder Dusche überschwemmt. Ansonsten alles prima und sehr gemütlich.

The only downside was the hotel's unreasonable charge for a private car to the airport; it was a short trip, yet they charged 4000 rupees. We chose this hotel, which made calling an indive inconvenient. The hotel should have understood and supported this decision, and shouldn't have made money off this expense. It was a major drawback, as we practically had no other choice.

- Rosanna (10/5): Exceptional stay in Nagarkot - We spent an amazing two days over Christmas at Hotel Country Villa. The room we stayed in was beautiful and the staff were so friendly and attentive. The view is incredible on a clear day and there’s a lovely heated pool to enjoy it from. Cannot fault it. Nothing.

The hotel had quite a rustic appearance but was beautiful. It was perched on the hilltop and over several levels. All the rooms had stunning Mountain View’s and it was just lovely. I had expected that due to the rustic appearance the standard would be lower but it wasn’t - it was gorgeous. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and on hand to help with everything needed. It was the perfect place to just sit and state at the view from a multitude of levels on the hill side. We had the food which was good- ordered a thali from the restaurant and breakfast was also very good. The only criticism was the shower which was luke warm . I am unsure if it is due to the time I was showering but hotter water would have been much better.

From the food to the staff, everything was immaculate and waking up with the view of the Himalaya was just the cherry on top

The spa is beautiful and the massages are excellent – it’s best to book as soon as you arrive as it gets busy. The restaurant serves very good food. The pool and jacuzzi are free, lovely and warm, and the sunshine during the day makes it perfect for relaxing by the pool. It was absolutely fine for us, but please note there are a lot of steps to get to the swimming pool and jacuzzi

- V (9/5): Superb - The room was very comfortable, with a large balcony overlooking the valley and mountains. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a large variety of tastey food and the Nepalese red wine was a great find. The walks around the mountian were well worth the effort for the views.

- Eric (10/5): Exceptional - This is the perfect getaway hotel vacation as a U.S.A. tourist. Other than the beds being a little hard, this was perfect for me. The staff was wonderful and accommodating, had a very nice, and much needed hot stone massage at the spa here, I was experiencing a lot of tightness in a lot of areas, and the massage therapist did a wonderful job in loosening out most of my tension in my back, legs and chest. Also, the breakfast buffet was exactly what I had hoped for, I made sure I got my fruit and vegetables and lots of warm water in my digestive system, and to help build blood circulation in my system. My body was lacking all the proper nutrients, and the buffet satisfied my bodies needs. Overall score for me as an American tourist is a 9.7 out of 10, other than the bed being a little hard and the massage table being wooden which our bodies usually are not designed for, this was perfect, and hope to come back in the future

The hotel is beautiful, clean, and has a charming, welcoming atmosphere. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate all of my travel needs, making my trip smooth and stress-free. From the comfortable rooms to the excellent service, everything was top-notch. I would absolutely recommend Hotel Country Villa to anyone visiting Nagarkot — I’m grateful for such a great stay and would love to return in the future!
- Paul (10/5): Great view.....potentially! - Beautiful location with the views as advertised, but.....smoke haze mostly blocked the it and we only caught glimpses of the Himalayas. But wow. What a view when they did appear. Hotel was comfortable. Food okay. Staff polite and attentive. Smoke haze.....not exactly the hotels fault that people in South Asia burn the forests etc. this time of year but the whole point of Nargakot is the view. Cleaning staff opened our door without knocking or announcing themselves. As summer had arrived early we were waiting out the heat of an afternoon which seemed to catch them out!
