- SerendipityLuzern (10/5): Where Genuine Hospitality Meets Paradise - We had a truly wonderful stay at Hotel L’Archipel and can wholeheartedly recommend it.
From the moment we arrived, we felt incredibly well taken care of. The entire team is exceptionally warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making each guest’s stay special. A heartfelt thank you to Benson, Edward, Fiona, Jessy, Kevin, and Lukas, as well as the wonderful sous-chefs who prepared our breakfast omelets every morning with such care. These personal touches made a real difference.
We would also like to warmly thank the reception staff and Florent and Isuru at the bar, who made every evening so enjoyable with their friendliness and excellent service.
The setting of the hotel is simply breathtaking. The beach is exceptionally beautiful — peaceful, pristine, and perfect for relaxing or enjoying the stunning natural surroundings.
What truly sets this hotel apart is the combination of its idyllic location and the sincere hospitality of its staff. Every request was met with kindness and a willingness to go the extra mile, which made our stay not only comfortable but memorable.
We leave with very fond memories and would return without hesitation.

- Carola (9/5): Attractive beachfront hotel with lush grounds on a beautiful bay; good value for money. - Beautiful beachfront grounds. We had the most perfectly located beachfront room, with beautiful sea views. It consisted of a spacious semidetached bungalow, but it felt very private and we never noticed the neighboring room. The small and bay and beach are beautiful, we were not so lucky with the weather and sea conditions, but it must be gorgeous with calm weather conditions. Breakfast was excellent, served beachfront, buffet style, and there is a great egg station. We did not have any meal plan, so we had to use the ground floor restaurant, where the menu was simple but the food was good. One evening there was a creole buffet for all guests and we loved it. There is a diving school right on the premises, and the hotel has a few other boats on site for excursions too. Staff was always very friendly and helpful, they went out of their way to organize everything we asked for, including late check out. You can walk to the next village in roughly half an hour. For Praslin, we found it to be good value for money. Most of the rooms seem to be scattered up the hill in the gardens, and while they probably have a beautiful sea view too, we would not have enjoyed being on the hill. Our room was spacious, but some things like the bathroom or the furniture on the terrace were a bit outdated, like 1980s, and quite standard, instead of high end. The aircon was functional but a bit old, and very loud, so we had to turn it off at night to sleep. They apparently have 2 restaurants; we had to use the restaurant on the ground floor, for guests with no meal plan; the menu is simple and never changed; the food was good, but it got boring after two days. Half-board guests use the other restaurant, upstairs, but we didn't really understand the difference since both restaurants are connected in the same space, and there seems to be only one kitchen, and on buffet night we got to eat upstairs too. We had the feeling the separation is artificial and unnecessary; the hotel doesn't really have 2 restaurants, and doesn't need them anyhow. The pool's position is a bit unfortunate, a bit hidden at the back, with restricted views, so not so attractive, but we don't need to use the pool on Seychelles anyhow.

- Alessandro (10/5): Amazing! - Tutto perfetto
- Janez (10/5): - L'Archipel could be described also like a small boutique hotel, as a excellent one for a 4-stars category. And a hotel's beach covered by a fine white sand almost dream one if there was less seaweed. But luckilly there is very nice and clean infinity pool with the view of the laguna.
Special compliments deserve also hotel restaurant which is very good. During our stay we
ate only a'la carte and the meals especially
- girishtharwani (10/5): Understated Boutique Luxury - We just completed a lovely 2-night/3-day stay at this beautiful boutique property, and it felt ideal for a romantic getaway. Set on the slopes of a hillside, every room offers breathtaking views of a pristine private beach, creating a very intimate and serene atmosphere.
The service was excellent throughout our stay, with the entire property impeccably maintained and spotlessly clean. Our checkout happened to fall on a weekend when ferry services to Mahé are limited, and the team graciously offered us a complimentary late checkout, which made our departure completely stress-free.
The onsite restaurant and bar are fantastic—perfect for relaxed, candle-lit dinners with great food and a peaceful ambience. Overall, this is an understated yet luxurious property that’s ideal for couples and honeymooners looking for privacy, comfort, and memorable views.

- Sarah (9/5): Breakfast in Paradise! - Our room was spacious and comfortable. The view from breakfast can't be beat (plus the food options were tasty)! A great location for proximity to the jetty and to fond ferdinand, but further from the most famous beaches on Praslin. It's easy to rent a car for a day from the hotel - a really nice addition! The dinner options were overall nothing to write home about - we enjoyed the buffet night albeit quite expensive. The taxi pick-up from the jetty was also pricey considering how close the hotel is.
- Faye (10/5): - Everything. This hotel is in the perfect location and offers everything you would need. From a beautiful pool and sun deck. To a private entrance to the sea, together with magnificent food and very friendly and accommodating staff. Just need to increase the water temperature for the both and shower
- Oleksandra (10/5): - We had an amazing stay at this beautiful resort with a breathtaking view from the top villa. The staff were incredibly helpful, and we would especially like to mention Edward — always smiling, positive, and happy to assist with anything.
We attended the New Year Gala Dinner, which was included in our half-board package. This was a wonderful surprise, as many resorts charge extra for Christmas and New Year events. The à la carte menu was absolutely delicious.
Our room was spotless and very well maintained. The resort has an excellent on-site diving center, which made it easy and convenient to enjoy diving.
The resort is beautifully designed, and everything about our stay exceeded expectations. Highly recommended! One small area for improvement would be the amount of seaweed on the beach, which could be cleaned more frequently. In addition, the regular buffet dinner on non-gala days could be improved
- Andreea (10/5): -
- IainC904 (10/5): Wonderful - This is a loveley small private hotel at the end of o road. The rooms are banked up the side of a natural bowl, so steps are inevitable for the higher rooms but the views are woth it. The beach and bay are lovelry with th sea shallow. If sea grass bothers you, proceed out of the hotel and 300yds along the road is a lovely beach with no see grass (unfortunately no beds)
The staff are wonderful and very helpful and the food is marvellous. Having a drink in the bar in the evening is magical as thr fruit bats fly from the trees behind the hotel. The cocktails are marvellous.
We were in room 802 (there are not that many rooms) which has spectacular sunsets and a great view across the wider bay.
A trip to Curieuse is a wonderful experience, but if you walk across to the next bay be sure you are fit enouch as it can be hard going! a visit to the Vallee de Mai is also a must.
We would return to this lovely hotel if we are able. We reccommend it to anyone.

- Katia (9/5): - It is a perfect place for relax - very calm and quiet. It is close to the bus stop (lass than 10 min walk) and with the bus you can go to many different places and explore the island. The stuff was super friendly and helpful. All was perfect!
- Urs (9/5): Erholsamer schöner Aufenthalt - Freundliches Personal, sehr zuvorkommend.

- THOMAS (6/5): - Pretty spot Limited kayak area and not good beach for swimming
- Petteri (9/5): -
- Burtyb (8/5): Great views - Views, beach, room Lunch information and lack of information in room

- Sightsee36756601813 (10/5): Excellent hotel in a paradise surrounding with excellent service - Excellent hotel, nice location, good breakfast and dinner, alternately buffet and à la carte, very nice garden villas with a lot of space and own terraces. We really enjoyed our time at L’Archipel. Keep the good service and familiar atmosphere!!
- Daniel (8/5): Amazing stay in Praslin - Wonderful hotel. Very well located, includes a private beach with turquoise water and white sand. Just 5 minutes from the port and with amazing views to the ocean. Kayak equipment included and amazing breakfast. We booked our stayed with half board, still do not understand why normal beverages are not included with the dinner (not even water), it is obvious that everyone drinks with his dinner. This kind of details prevent a hotel from being a top one.
- MyrtleWiltshire (8/5): Beautiful Place - Absolutely beautiful hotel in an idyllic location. The rambling grounds are full of flowers. Knowing that some rooms are quite a way (and uphill) from the main area we had requested one lower down and we were given a lovely one just above the beach and close to the main area. Spacious, comfortable room, bathroom with bath and separate shower, large veranda with view through palm trees to the beach - very relaxing and tranquil. Pleasant swimming off the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately we found the food very poor, both at the casual beach restaurant and the more formal dinner one, which lets the hotel down somewhat.
- Anthony (10/5): Exceptional -
- Liam (10/5): Incredible idyllic location - One of the best hotels I've stayed in, everything about it was perfect but the location right on the beach and the views were probably the most impressive. Every day we saw a spectacular sunset from our room. The French restaurant was incredible and the staff were all highly professional and extremely friendly. 10/10 Nothing to criticise but there is nothing around the area so if you want to go to a shop or local restaurant you need to consider renting a car
- Markus (9/5): Superb -
- Wolfgang (8/5): Good pick if you look for quietness - Nice hotel, not too big, awesome integrated into the nature, with authentic food. Cool pool with view to the sea.
- Sophie (8/5): Perfectly located to enjoy beautiful Or. -
- allanjK1958CJ (10/5): Simply paradise - Sea turtles? Live local music over dinner? Peace and tranquility in nature? Huge rooms that are spotlessly clean and with mesmerising views? Long romantic walks along the spotless beach. The friendliest service ever? Just book, you won't regret it.
- Robert (9/5): Superb -
- Joanne (10/5): A hidden gem of a resort. Close to beautiful beaches and the local town. - Lovely and quiet, with a great beach. Everything was excellent.
- Courtney (9/5): Great stay in Praslin - We loved the hotel and the decoration/vibe of the hotel. It was in a good location as well. It was hard for us to use all the facilities of the hotel as it rained the entire time. We loved the view regardless. The creole buffet was fantastic, as was the a la carte. We also liked that they had water sports available, even if we did not get to try that out. The breakfast was excellent as well. We did not like at all that there was NO IRON in the room. If you wanted to iron your clothes it was a paid service that they offered. Which is just ridiculous. I also did not like that there was no non slip mat at the shower. I am 30 years old, so it is not an age thing, but I almost died twice slipping In that shower. so please be careful. We also were quite disappointed that the hotel did not acknowledge or try to do anything special for our honeymoon. I had noted in several booking note locations that it was our honeymoon. They were the only hotel we stayed at that did not acknowledge that. We also wished that they had more nights with a a la carte menu.
- raykelly (10/5): Utter bliss - This hotel is one of the loveliest hotels I've ever stayed in. If you want buzzy and lots to do, this hotel isn't for you, but if you want incredible rooms, a paradise beach, great food and amazing personal service, you'll love it here. From the moment we arrived we were treated like long lost family, shown to our 2 bedroom family suite which was spotless and huge with a beautiful terrace with comfy sun loungers to stare at the beautiful views. Breakfast was delicious, as was the food at lunch and dinner, but what makes this hotel a place we will return to again and again is the genuinely warm, friendly and helpful staff. Can't wait to come back again.
- Erik (9/5): Superb -
- jwwargala (10/5): Great view and service - Thank you very much Patricia for the great service. It was a great experience. We liked the location of the hotel as it has good views of Dubai Ain and Jumeirah Beach Residence. We also appreciate Madinah, Hsu, Jumei, Rój, Sean, Sujan, Mr . Naveen and Mr. Sandeep. We have been around for 10 days and the hotel is nice. We will soon come back and this hotel will be our home again. Thanks
- Nathan (8/5): Wonderful hotel with brilliant views - Hotel L'Archipel is a wonderful hotel with brilliant views over the bay to Anse Volbert and St Piere islet. The location is picture perfect - with views of the aquamarine sea and green hills in the distance.
The room was very spacious and had a nice balcony at the front.
One restaurant is right down on the beach and is a lovely place to have breakfast and look out over the beach. The beach is lovely with the classic Seychelles rock formations at the side.
We asked for a late checkout and they arranged this for us at no extra charge.
The staff were very friendly and the guy looking after our room (from Nepal) was brilliant. We stayed half board and would comment that the evening meal is a buffet sometimes. The buffet is good, but we found the set meal was excellent. Also drinks and water are extra, so you will run up a bar bill during your stay.
- Alice (10/5): Great hotel, you won't be disappointed! - We travelled as a couple and loved our stay at Hotel L'Archipel. The hotel is clean, modern, comfortable and the staff were very friendly. The pool is great and we could always get a sun lounger. The beach is also practically private and there are free watersports (kayaking and paddle boarding) available from the hotel. There are some good snorkeling spots too - we saw a turtle, couple of baby sharks and a stingray! Best experience of seeing these animals and free!
Food was great too, plenty of choice and everything was fresh There isn't much in walking distance of the hotel and you're reliant on taxis. We also would've liked to see reusable water bottles in the room - seems silly in this day and age to still be supplying multiple plastic bottles.
Also couldn't turn the air con display off overnight, meaning the room was lit up and disrupted sleep
- Addison (7/5): Not a good value for very big money. - Personal was good Pretty old
- Elif (6/5): Pleasant - Great location, helpful staff, peaceful beach Food was very sub-par particularly compared to similar hotels on praslin and mahe. The buffet food at breakfast and dinner was pretty bad. A la carte food was acceptable at best.
Room decor is drab, no style, bad lighting
- F1211IEdavidp (10/5): Paradise - We have loved our stay at L’Archipel. So relaxing and peaceful at all times of the day. Great setting with the most amazing views from our cottage of both the bay and the stunning gardens. Flowers, birds and fruit bats abound. Delicious food and very friendly staff.
Our cottage has been perfect and Jerami has done a great job of looking after us. Plus his skills with towel art have been much enjoyed on a daily basis.
Thank you everyone for a beautiful stay in Paradise.

Couldn’t ask for more we highly recommend a stay here.
Staff make it easy to go paddle boarding or canoeing from the hotel.
Depending on sea conditions the water can be a little cloudy for snorkelling but there is so much wildlife around the hotel I wasn’t disappointed.
A car is useful to get anywhere, driving is easy around the island. We visited Anse Georgette and Anse Lazio and loved them both.
- Phil (10/5): Exceptional -
- Zsolt (10/5): A real gem, in a quiet location. - Rooms were really great; huge bathroom.
Great view.
Wonderful beach (more for snorkelling than swimming).
Breakfast.
Bar was always open.
Very helpful staff.
Car rental could be arranged in place. none
- Jo (9/5): Superb -
- Fabien (10/5): Exceptional - The view,, wow. The cocktails were unbelievable.
- Thomas (9/5): Superb -
- Darryl (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (7/5): Not bad but overpriced, especially in the F&B area. - Great location on a good beach and close to town, and the ferry docks. Clean, spacious rooms with great views. Food was fairly substandard and particularly at the price point. (e.g.cold pizza with sparse toppings, on a bread dough rather than pizza dough base). Coffee and tea provided free in the rooms except for the 4 provided pods of Nespresso, charged at about $4 each. At the overall price of a nights stay, I would think that removing this pricing irritant wouldn't break the bank! Pro tip: the Duc de Praslin further up the beach has infinitely better F&B offerings at way better value. Very weak/intermittent wi-fi
- Sonia (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful hotel if you want to relax and enjoy the beauty of Seychelles stunning nature. Exceptional views from almost everywhere in the hotel. The staff is really really nice and clearly wants to make your stay exceptional, which it absolutely was for us! We are not a fan of buffet food in general so we would have preferred the restaurant to serve a la carte every night, but they have theme nights every other night and then only serve buffet. However the food at the buffet was good just not our preferred type of enjoying a meal.
- Anu (9/5): Superb -
- Joanne (10/5): Wonderful, locally owned hotel with an excellent team. Should be a 5 star rating! - Relaxed atmosphere with great staff. Beautifully clean beach and good food. Spacious room with fantastic views of the sea. Nothing needs improving.
- Christian (9/5): Superb -
- Gerhard (9/5): Very nice resort on Praslin with stunning beach - Very nice and chic resort. Awesome beach area with free sunbeds and watersports. Good food. Food is pricey and staff is sometimes slow and complicated.
- Elie (10/5): Welcome to paradise - Wonderful location, the view from the room is breathtaking. The hotel has a private beach in the bay with very calm and clear waters (no big waves compared to other beaches on the island). The staff is very nice, always looking to help with anything, cleaning staff does its job very well, and the food is great! You will not want to leave! Honestly, nothing comes to mind.
- Max (7/5): Good -
- Kfir (5/5): a nice hotel with average breakfast. - - Next to Côte D’Or where you have some restaurants and supermarkets.
- the beach if the hotel is beautiful.
- the house keeping staff is extremely pleasant.
- the room is beautiful and spacious. - The internet doesn’t work well, also after they give you a user to another system, it is still not decent.
- they knew we were honeymooners, but they did not offer anything to celebrate it. didn’t even mention it. at least some decorations would be nice.
- they charge for EVERYTHING, and a lot. you want to pay in euros rather than in Seychelles rupees- pay extra, you want to order room service - pay extra for the delivery, etc.
- Helen (8/5): Very good - Staff were very friendly. Buffet and breakfast selection were excellent.
Rooms were clean. View was awesome.
Great facilities for kayaking, snorkelling. Good trips.
Fabulous massage. Didn’t enjoy the a la carte so much.
Wi-Fi wasn’t strong and kept dropping in and out.
- Anonymous (10/5): Parfait - Everything-Service and Facilities
- Jane (9/5): A wonderful hotel rooms excellent and very peaceful - Location, peaceful
no loud music
staff excellent
Food excellent
Rooms cleaned daily unlimited clean towels No provision of free drinking water to fill
your own bottles during the day. only one bottle provided daily and unable to fill water bottles at breakfast .
- Marco05 (9/5): Paradise on Praslin - The Hotel is in very good condition and the staff takes care of it a lot.
Everyone is so friendly and very helpful. As my wife is pregnant, they checked everything about the food. and made us feel completly happy.
Thanks a lot. You all did a great Job during this week. Was a pleasure beiing your guests.
- Shaun (8/5): relaxing but good service - relaxing and elegant room. direct views to beach. breakfast could have more variety
- Bailey (7/5): Good -
- Eran (7/5): low value for money - Clean hotel at great location with nice view Over price, charges everywhere, the staff and the Hotel treat you like you are wallet that just need to speand money, No water on HB dinner, poor varaity for breakfast
- Adrian (7/5): Nature is your main host - The main quality of this hotel is the location, as you will be totally remote from the touristic road.
The rooms are located in small houses, some individual, others share the same house.
The placement on the hill offers a great sentiment and view.
We stayed in a gorgeous senior suite which featured a perfect view of the golf bay.
The bathroom has spacious and had a large rain shower area.
Near the room there were hibiscus plants, avocado trees, local apple trees and above all a small area for cultivating aubergines, bell pepper and chillies.
The hotel also has a swimming pool, but it gets really hot there during the day, so it is best to stay on the beach, where you have the breeze.
The food we had for New Year's Eve party and the New Year's Day was really tasty and fancy.
Also they prepared a nice celebratory breakfast on the 1-st of January with extra options.
It is quiet, unless the restaurant hosts some sort of party, and in that case the music is too loud.
The beach is full of coconut trees under which you can find plenty of shade.
It was a nice suprise that in the day we left they had prepared a shower room for us, as the hour of departure was 14:00.
The nature and heritage offers 5 star services, but the staff.....not so much Maybe the staff is hard to find, and everybody understands that, but the prices have to be adjusted.
We had a bill of 700 euros per night, and after the New Year's Eve party finished, at 2 AM we went to our room to sleep untill 8 AM, when reception called because there was some bill we needed to sign.
Had to go to reception and there I got the answer that it had been resolved......no worries
I asked the reception if we could reserve a special table for the two parties which will be organised and got the answer that they do not reserve tables, we can sit where we want.
The manager had some friends invited and was forced to find another place to sit arround the pool, because the best seats were booked by the manager.
The dinner featured a fixed HB menu, but the manager's guests had a small buffet.
Room service has a charge of 13 euros , you have to wait a veeeery long time for them to deliver the order and after you eat nobody comes to take the tray, transforming it in a meeting spot for all the birds.
The beach is always full of seaweed.
The receptionist explicitly told me not to enjoy my welcome drink, because I had to move the car to the parking lot. This after I confirmed that I am ok with her collegue parking the car for me.
If we have payed 200 euros per night, none of these would have bothered me.
- Kaustubh (9/5): Superb - Room quality
Food
Service Beach too small
Tours through the hotel (3rd party provider) not fully satisfactory, esp the ones where lunch is part of the tour - the food is very unhygienic. Hotel should forewarn clients.
- Yasemin (9/5): Superb - We stayed in a deluxe room with breathtaking view of sea. The hotel is very nice, calm and clean. The lizards were in our room (5 of them :)) and we called the reception to help us take them out. They are very helpful. The room was very comfortable with a king size bed, spacious place. Outside the hotel there are no restaurants so it is a good idea to have dinner included. The food was also very delicious.
- Karen (9/5): A relaxed and beautiful stay, loved the location - Our room was beautiful, bright, spacious and kept cool. We had a view out to sea through the palms, and a small seating area (2 chairs, table) on the verandah. Be careful of the red-brown sandflies - we left our outside light on by mistake one night a lots gathered there and got us next day!
The room was cleaned daily, water bottles replenished and towel & flower art on the bed :)
Breakfast was good - service was slow some days, but food was good and buffet was restocked on request. Cereals, warm pastries, bacon, tomatoes, beans etc, pancakes, breads, yoghurts, fresh fruit, juices & water. Eggs cooked to order and tea & coffee too. Tables are set inside (with walls folded back) and also on the beach - doves are constant visitors to the beach tables (we liked but some guests did not), they came inside less often.
The reception staff were really helpful & friendly - arranging taxis, changing currency and dealing with queries.
The hotel is quiet and has pretty gardens - the hillside means a lot of steps to / from the bar, pool, restaurant and beach to rooms, but the height gives the views! Location is a fair walk to the main cote d'or restaurants etc. but the quiet and calm beach made that worthwhile for us.
We ate at the hotel 3 times:
- a la carte menu was quite limited in range for us (hence only choosing that once)
- room service was not swift but food was hot and good
- the chef's buffet had a very good selection of starter, main and dessert options so was a lovely meal
The Anse Gouvernement beach at L'Archipel was beautiful - white sand, very little seaweed. Beach desk offered towels, snorkel gear, life jackets and kayaks. The water being so calm, shallow and clear a good way out, meant that even as a non-swimmer, with a life-jacket & snorkel mask and holding my husband's hand I was able to snorkel along the rocks to the right and we saw lots of different fish. A map of the local area (walking distances etc.) in the room would have been useful
Would have preferred further reduction in plastic:
- water jug(s) in the room to refill bottles rather than 2 new plastic bottles every day
- non-plastic slippers. We opted not to use them as they were plastic (and would slip as a result!)
Restaurants:
- it would have been good to have the menu available to view (online or at / outside the restaurants)
- honey at breakfast would have been nice (for bread / toast and adding to yoghurt)
- option to eat at the pool bar would have been good (particularly during the time between lunch and dinner services)
