- DELLAINA (8/5): - This is a beautiful, quiet spot, and if you enjoy swimming like I do, the pool areas are truly tranquil—one for relaxing, one for swimming, and another for resting.
The rooms are air-conditioned, modern, clean, and well-appointed with very comfortable beds and
Unfortunately, there is a very long walk up slopes and stairs to the rooms, with no lift available. If it's raining, you will get soaked, and this is also a hazard. I would not recommend it to more mature travellers or anyone with mobility issues.
The other disappointment was the food; there wasn't much variety, and it wasn't as fresh as the food at the other two venues we stayed at or at different food outlets. No herbal teas and no fresh coffee; only very low-quality, I couldn't drink it.
- Natasha (9/5): Lovely stay, and comfortable beds. - Bed was very comfortable and nice having the selection of styles of pillows.
And the thick curtains to block out light.
Delicious buffet breakfast. Bathrooms a little old.
Swimming pool closed too early.
- alison (10/5): - Beautiful property with three swimming pools, near monkey forest. Had a lovely stay
- Raviv (6/5): - Property is located in a nice and quiet part of Ubud. Unfortunately, the property's condition, amenities and facilities are very poor
- Daniel Bariga (9/5): Comfortable room and great location - Great location, nearby ubud central yet far away from the noise and business. Room was comfortable and cosy and we were able to rest without worry. Breakfast was fine. Sink water slow to drain out but it's minor issue.
- Bakhan (4/5): -
- Anna (6/5): - The resorts location was perfect close to everything Our room had a strong mould smell
- Elta (10/5): Great hotel in a beautiful location - Great location and great hotel. Comfortable beds, good sized rooms, clean and great facilities. We loved our stay! Nothing
- Ashley (8/5): - Pools around area of room was great, nice and quiet, short walk past the monkey Forrest up into town. Great breakfast
- Sean (8/5): - The good: the staff was friendly and attentive. The breakfast was great and
- AdventuresOfTwo (2/5): Damp rooms - musty smell - Okay hotel - okay location. Damp rooms. We stayed for 4 nights the first night the room was so damp that we slept in it due to being late and then requested a move to non damp or a refund to move. They said we couldn’t have a refund and the hotel was full. We insisted and they found us a room on the second floor. This room wasn’t damp but didn’t have the pool access that we paid extra for.
Upon check out we requested a refund of the extra money we paid for pool access and they said no we know all the downstairs rooms are damp…
I think this is very poor and could be poor for health of someone with asthma such as ourselves.
Shame the room and support from the hotel tarnished our stay.

- emilypD9537ES (10/5): Lovely Stay at Ubud Wana Resort - This hotel was wonderful – very clean and comfortable throughout. The swim-up pool was a real highlight and made for a relaxing stay. We also really enjoyed being close to the Monkey Sanctuary, which was great fun! Overall, a great location for exploring Ubud and a peaceful place to unwind.
- frankiejo (6/5): Pools dirty - This was ok for a 4 night stay but pools are dirty and not suitable to swim in. This is a bit disappointing when you’ve paid for a villa.
Staff were lovely just disappointing after a long flight from uk.
We wouldn’t return maybe ok for backpacking
- Vinothkumar (9/5): Superb -
- kiltedmuppet (10/5): Great small resort - We loved everything about this resort, fantastic location but the sacred monkey forest walking distance to Ubud centre but far enough away to be tranquil and relaxing.
Rooms were spotless and had everything you needed.
Pools clear and relaxed
Spa and massages amazing
Breakfast delicious
What's not to love
- Karinna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christine (8/5): Very good - The room size is great. The pool and salon were also great. No bathtub, only a shower.
- garima (6/5): average stay - not very clean villa pool - average stay - I booked a 2 bedroom villa and realised that its far from the main property although they had golf carts running between the property and villa. But it was a bit of an inconvenience to wait for one. The villa is also very close to the monkey forest/same wall - so we were recommended to keep doors shut and not eat outside at all. This is not my idea of being at the villa. The small plunge pool was also not cleaned at all so we never used it. There were open ceiling areas both the showers in the villa from where we saw lizards and bugs some in all the time. This made us very uncomfortable and we were not sure if these were going in our luggage etc so we constantly took extra care with open snacks /luggage or anything else. I have kids who were terrified to go to the bathroom at night b y themselves so it made the stay terrible. The breakfast was very average and also at times had flies and bugs on it. The common areas like reception and toilets around the areas also had lizards lurking around. So all in all, I won't visit again knowing about these shortcomings
- gillpilkington2410 (10/5): Wonderful, comfortable, well located hotel. - A very comfortable hotel. Wonderful, attentive staff, only too happy to help at any time. The hotel is well located and the food is amazing. I thoroughly enjoyed my 3 nights stay. There are lots of other restaurants close to the hotel, but the food in house is very very tasty. The pools are beautiful and plenty of sun beds. My room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Would thoroughly recommend.
- Michele (10/5): Wonderful resort with amazing facilities - The property is so nice. Great location south of the monkey forest near amazing restaurants and cafes, spas and shops. Everything you need is close by or no need to even leave the resort if you don’t want to. Rooms are a great size and the beds are amongst the most comfortable I’ve slept on. Staff are wonderfull and so accommodating. Nothing this is a fantastic stay on all accounts can’t fault a thing.
- Sylvie (10/5): - The location is perfect, people are friendly, cheap massages and food
- Verified traveler (10/5): - We had a great stay at the resort. It is an easy walk to the monkey sanctuary and other parts of Ubud. On the street there are plenty of options for meals.
- Rachael (10/5): - A beautiful part of ubud within walking distance of the monkey Forrest. The hotel is very quiet but beautiful and the staff couldn’t do enough. Some superb dining options within a short walking distance. Highly recommend
- Lucy (8/5): Lovely place to stay - Location. Nice big rooms
- Happiness28817167351 (8/5): Bali Trip Experience - This resort is very good to stay in Ubud.
Staff is very courteous. Pool is neat. Recommending this place for everyone family and friends. Couple of restaurants and massage parlours close by. Safe to walk in the night. Overall a good experience.
- Sattam (4/5): Disappointing -
- Shyam (7/5): Good family stay - Buffet breakfast, Ubud wana resort is good. Staff very friendly. Villa is 300mts away and detached to resort. I wasn't aware while booking, otherwise I would've kept that in mind.
- Arora (5/5): Passable -
- Cox (10/5): Exceptional - Great Villa and pool. In an excellent location Nothing
- StuartCraig (8/5): Decent 4* stay - Surprised by a recent 1* review. This place is a great 4* hotel with comfortable room, 3 swimming pools and lovely, friendly staff.
The location is ideal being away from manic Ubud traffic but walkable to the monkey forest via a short cut where you have to dodge scooters and monkeys simultaneously!
There are lovely restaurants on the same street and amazing value massages.
Food in hotel was a let down and very samey but we were pleased with our choice of location for exploring Ubud
- Jaideep (9/5): Brilliant - The staff is brilliant, always ready to help. Also right next to the monkey forest. Has a few good restaurants within 5-10 min walk. The villa is a bit dated. The bathroom look like need an update.
- Chandramouli (9/5): Superb -
- Leesa (10/5): Beautiful rooms, 5 minute walk to Monkey Forest - Room was so nice, we paid a little extra for the honeymoon room, best pillows ever. Bathroom partially outside was beautiful The walk to the rooms if you forgot something
- Tony (6/5): It was an okay stay - Next to the money forest, good spa deal The two bedroom villa is actually not located in the hotel and rooms are quite old. You’ll need to ring reception to pick you up for breakfast and quite walk going back.
- Andra (9/5): Very friendly and helpful staff - Friendly helpful staff , shuttle to town Breakfast not many options , no elevator, not so great pools
- Mahmood (7/5): Good - It is green and has a spa There was bad smell like mould in the walls
- Happytravellershome (2/5): I have no words so bad - I’m beyond shocked at standard. I was sold luxurious accommodation, in a package with destination Asia. This place was squalid. If I was told basic Asia no problem. I was told something else via secret escapes from destination Asia. I have paid beyond belief for $10 a night hotels. So this one said to be 4 star, the photos not as of hotel, maybe on day it opened. The room smells heavily of damp, as did alternatives offered. The tiles in bathroom broke under feet. Endless marks on walls, and sofa you have to place towel on to sit as so dirty. The furniture stained and broken. The service? What service no bar from 9:30 but it says 11:00. The pool too dirty to use. I have travelled in Asia before in basic accommodation and been happy. This was sold as luxury and so bad. I wish I could fly home tomorrow I hate Bali from this destination Asia experience. I may as well have burned my money.
- Howard (10/5): - Great
- Manbir (10/5): Exceptional -
- Prahasto (8/5): Very good - The location is perfect, very close to the places I wanted to visit. I like the bed. I did not expect that upon arrival I was first informed that the twin bedroom that I requested for was not available, although I had specifically requested for a twin bedroom. It was resolved finally, and I got my twin bedroom. I don't like the bathroom that has a glass wall NOT fully covered, so that anyone who will be my roommate can peek into the bathroom. I don't like that no bottled water is provided for in the bedroom and that I had to go out of the bedroom to take water from the water dispenser outside the bedroom.
- sohomd2023 (10/5): Great experience - I have lots of positive things to say about this place!
The location is excellent, within walking distance of the monkey sanctuary. Lots of restaurants nearby.
The breakfast might not be as... inclusive as one might expect at a UK hotel, but definitely sufficient.
The staff were lovely. They went out of their way to help me and my family (with baggage, etc) on numerous occasions.
- dpwams (6/5): Disappointing - Nice location, next to the monkey forest and on a great little street with awesome coffee and food options. But other than that, we felt our whole experience here was a bit of a let down. We had a two-bedroom pool villa, but the villas are 350m away from the main hotel building in a kind of back alleyway. They take and fetch you by golf cart which is fine, but in honestly, pretty much everything about the room was drab, dated, and uninviting. Bedrooms were ok-ish but bathrooms definitely need a facelift. Quite a few moldy spots and bubbling paint on the walls elsewhere. The outside pool area was small, looked out on to a cracked wall and again just all looked unappealing. Aside from one morning coffee and two very quick jumps in the pool after a morning run, we didn’t use the villa pool or outside area at all, not even the kids, which is very rare. The main pool area was ok but also completely surrounded by other rooms with quite a narrow space for sunbeds if you weren’t staying in one of those rooms. No bar or any real atmosphere there, just a very small seating area with a phone to call someone if you wanted a drink. Breakfast was ok, certainly nothing special. Ladies toilets in the reception area hadn’t been flushed or cleaned when we used them - dirty toilets is a big black mark. Aside from the toilet issue, cleanliness was fine. The staff were good and really tried their best I think - they don’t have a whole lot to work with to be honest. I have to agree with another review which said the place just seems to lack any real ambience or soul. We booked our holiday through a travel agent so I don’t know the exact price we paid but I would be very confident there are better price-to-value options in Ubud.
- Daniel (7/5): Good -
- Rebecca (8/5): Very good -
- Sehul (10/5): Value for money - Very nice property
Close to centre
Very helpful staff Not much
- Kirstin (10/5): Glad we stayed there, would recommend, staff are very friendly, it’s very clean - There was a variety of breakfast, including freshly cooked omelette's. Evening meal was very good too , It was very quiet, nice location with a few bars and restaurants, easy walk to the monkey forest
- Roslyn (9/5): Superb -
- Ritesh (8/5): Staff could be more helpful. And the facilities need to be a lot better - They had certain rooms marked as pool access for which they charged accordingly. But the pool was in bad shape and we didn’t feel like entering it at all. So that was a complete waste. Did not see a single room using these pools. So this was a complete misrepresentation of a hotel facility.
Also, the staff was pretty uncooperative when we requested anything outside of what was committed. Would not go back here.
- Tharaka (9/5): Value for money - Convenient location Easy access and cleaned rooms
- Shibu (7/5): A waste of money and not the ideal location. - Clean and spacious rooms Very close to monkey forest and there were monkeys around the property all the time. Once a monkey came into the bathroom when my mum was having a bath which freaked her out. Also issue of blocked drains in bathroom and wash basin. We paid a lot of money for a pool villa but could not use the pool as there were monkeys around all the time. Waste of money.
- Shannon (7/5): Good - Food and service was excellent. If we had any issues, staff were quick to respond and try and sort. There were are few issues with electricity. But perhaps that is just Bali!
- Shannon (8/5): Very good -
- Ian (9/5): Superb -
- Naidu (5/5): Villa is a no go if u afraid of bugs! - The management was k8nd enough to move us to the resort from the villa but didn't compensate us for the price difference. Breakfast was terrible
There were many bugs in the resort bugs that were biting at night
Couldn't sleep
Initially was at the villa, no one said to us that it opens into the outside. I was petrified then asked to be moved. I couldn't do it!
- David (10/5): - Three pools to choose from
Great selection at breakfast
Staff very friendly and helpful
Good location for restaurants and downtown.
Shower stall had black mould along the bottom of glass wall. Other than this I would recommend Wana Resort
- Hui-Chun (8/5): - The staff were friendly, and the room was comfy. If there was no ants in the room, I would score 4.5/5.
- Sreedhar (9/5): Very Good for a family to stay - Breakfast Pool and early breakfast packed in the box was with ants.
- Joe (8/5): - Beautiful villa and resort. Staff very accommodating as we only eat vegan and gf meals. Only issue we had was the hot water - most nights the water was cold but usually thats okay as the nights are warm, however some nights were a bit cooler and had to wait over 1hr to get some hot water.
- Tracy (9/5): Fabulous small personal hotel with friendly helpful staff - It was just outside a very busy ubud centre, so was calm after a busy ubud. The staff were all friendly, the way the rooms are arranged around separate pools makes it feel quiet and personal.breakfast was buffet style with lots of choice and tasty
Staff really helpful and friendly, and the daily shuttle into ubud centre when you want to be lazy was great but was only in reality a 15 minute walk. Nothing loved it all
- Lae (9/5): Superb -
- Jonathan (7/5): Well located just away from central Ubud and excellent value for money. - The breakfast was good, we particularly liked the freshly cooked eggs. The pools were good and conveniently located adjacent to the rooms. Rooms were a little dated but generously proportioned and clean. Beds were a little firm and pillows a little soft. The spa was being renovated and they were utilising rooms, but the service and price was excellent. Very little for this price point.
- Vino (9/5): Superb -
- Lorna (3/5): I would not recommend staying here. - The spa was really beautiful. Upon arriving to the resort, I noticed a stain on the sheet of my duvet - a brown stain. I asked at reception for them to change the sheets, I was told it would be done straight away. It wasn't, I asked again and was again told they would be changed- they weren't. Not once over the 5 night stay I had there were they changed. The room was not clean, shower was covered in scum from previous uses, the counters of the room were not wiped down, dirty cups and the general standard of cleaning was poor in the room. It smelled of dampness and midlew. The air con was with freezing or roasting and sounded like an airplane taking off it was so loud.
The most memorable thing about this resort was that the staff had absolutely no interest in customer satisfaction and generally seemed bored and unhappy to be working here. I spent 3 weeks in Bali and visited lots of different places, this was the ONLY place where I experienced poor customer service, rudeness and just negative vibes from the employees.
- Jayeshkumar (8/5): Very good -
- Marcio (8/5): Very good -
- Nathia (6/5): Pleasant -
- Omer (10/5): - Very hospitality place and very kind people and staff, the service is and easy.
- Sharon (6/5): Comfortable stay - Well maintained Location is far from ubud town centre
- Sukumar (8/5): Very good -
- Rivero (9/5): Superb -
- Dean (9/5): Better than expected! Great for a family with kids! - Villa was clean and comfortable, perfect for a family with kids. Although it is short walk from the main resort, staff come within minutes to pick you up on the buggy. Initially being separated from the main building, but the staff are so great picking you up, this really isn't an issue at all.
- Lee (5/5): Passable - Breakfast and staff friendly Rooms Starting to look like need refurbishment
- Danny (5/5): Would not stay there again unless i knew it had been cleened up clean rooms are deceiving - Great location good staff stayed here 5 years ago Mouldy / musky smelling room getting slightly run down
Rat running around room!
Whilst looking for the rat behind bed there were mould spores, rubbish, discussing!
Had not been pulled out for years to give a clean!
Mould in bathroom corner on sealing, bathroom sink blocked
Very disappointing compared to last stay and not value for money considering above
I would not have stayed there again had i known the above
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Vinod (7/5): Good -
- Asqar (10/5): - The two bedroom villa is actually not in the main resort area, it is located 300 meters away next to the monkey forest... although the resort does provide a golf cart to transfer if needed... I still think it is not very convenient..
Other than that, location is good, in the centre of ubud, close to attractions. dining options are good too around the area. staff is very helpful.
- Priya (4/5): Just a place to sleep in and shower ..that's it ..don't expect beyond that - Not happy with it ..just rate 4/10 Stayed on a villa .. Beds were comfy ..bathrooms were not bad ..it is ok to just come and sleep in ..
there were ants in the room..
They didn't change the towels everyday.breakfast was not so good either ..especially the bread and pastry section
