- Ingo (10/5): - Das Hotel hat seinen ganz besonderen Charme, hebt sich ab von den Standard-Hotels. Es liegt an einer beruhigten Fahrradstraße mit eigenen Parkplätzen und zig Restaurants. Das große Schwimmbad ist außergewöhnlich für ein Hotel. Frühstück, Bar und Personal top.

Hotellet er spændende indrettet i den gamle badeanstalt, som man som hotelgæst har adgang til - mod et mindre gebyr. Værelserne er små men veludnyttede og pæne og rene. Der kan tilkøbes morgenmad, men den er relativ dyr, og der er mange alternativer på gaderne omkring hotellet. Der er cirka 10 parkeringspladser i gården bag hotellet - Kan tilkøbes ved bestilling.

Breakfast food was delicious, but self service which was ridiculous as the room is small and so many guests milling around was time consuming and inefficient. Need more than one coffee machine! One waiter in breakfast area was really rude.

- David (8/5): Lovely with a quirk. - The hotel is excellent! Our one complaint is that the doors for the rooms on the main floors as well as between areas of the facility don't close softly on their own. It's quite loud and can be heard clearly in your room, like a book falling face down.

The pool is as incredible as it looks - skip your room cleaning for a pool voucher (be advised the sauna costs extra.) Don't miss breakfast - it is one of the most impressive spreads I've seen at a hotel in Europe.

- Alain (4/5): - I got room 505. When I arrived they told me it was a very nice tower room with a great view. When they saw my luggage, the reception lady was actually very nice and helped me. I understood why: about 7 floors without elevator. Great view? The windows are small and so high you have to step up to see something outside (I am 6 feet). Bed are the smallest ones I have ever seen. When I asked about check out time the previous day, they told me that extending from 11 to noon would cost 20 euros. I said ok. The next morning I was already annoyed by someone wanting to clear at exactly 11. Took 5 mins to have them understand I had extended. 20 mins later the reception calls and tells me I am late. I told them I extended. The bells of the nearby church did not finished ringing noon, a guy was already waiting to clean. I was struggling to go down the 7 stairs with all my stuffs, he was smiling and looking at me. did not help. That room should not even be sold, it should be a deposit at best! Terrible. Only the lady at the beginning was awesome helpful, probably she was ashamed of the deal/situation.
- Carol (10/5): - What an amazing hotel and location! I love the history of this hotel and was sure to use the pool while there. It's not something I usually do, but who could pass up swimming in a pool with such history. It's been there since 1896 and is beautifully restored. The hotel room (Premium Double Room) was roomy and had a nice view of the street in front of the hotel which was quiet and lined with trees. Before coming to the hotel, we were offered add-ons which were nice. We opted for the flowers in the room and the Hotel Oderberger rubber ducky. :-) I was nervous about getting a room without a/c in summer. However, the rooms have fans and nice large windows that open, so our stay was comfortable. The bed is comfty and the bathroom has a nice shower with good water pressure. There was a clean tea kettle with coffee and tea available in the room which I also used. No snack bar in the room, but one was available downstairs at the front desk. We also opted for the hotel breakfast. The staff were very nice and helpful. There were lots of choices and it's definitely worth the 22 euros. There is several types of drinks, fresh omelettes made to order, waffles, fruite, Berlin honey and more. The hotel is also within walking distance to lots of Asian restaurants and Maurerpark, the tram, and S-bahn. Make sure to bring your euros though because most places only accept cash. Highly recommend this hotel and neighborhood. Loved it. Thank you to all the staff at the hotel.

- Geoffrey (10/5): Speedy Bernie. - I’ve been to Berlin many times to see family and this is my first trip to Hotel Oderberger. It’s a hidden gem. Great for short visits. Conveniently placed. Breakfast is a bit pricey for what you get. Better value in the numerous cafes in the surrounding streets. Pool and bar facilities are excellent.

The room was too hot for our taste but we couldn’t work out how to cool it down. Generally a positive experience.

The rooms are pristine and comfortable, breakfast is delicious and filling, the pool is sparkling clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Trams and train stations are close by to get you wherever you want to go.

Expedia booking experience was weird - we received all of the arrival and checkout instructions a day or so after we had checked out.

- David (10/5): Stunning conversion of old public baths - The Oderberger is a stylish conversion of the old East German swimming baths. The rooms are comfortable conversions of the old building. Some rooms are "double story" with the bed upstairs in a sort of loft. The restaurant is a stunning 3 story conversion of the old boiler house. It is situated in Prenzlauer Berg - a vibrant residential and commercial area in former East Berlin with easy public transport connections to other sights in Berlin. Breakfast is an excellent buffet. There is a small bar - and, of course, there is the swimming pool which is open to residents and the public.
- robert (6/5): - Hall doors closing were very loud in the morning, as were the bathroom doors, which are cool in theory (old swimming pool cabin doors) but snap shut with a noisy bang. I was very irritated that we needed to pay for the pool. The whole cool factor of the place is the pool and they make a huge deal about it in the websites and advertising. Then they say it’s 5 euros to use it for guests. Just increase everyone’s room by 5 and make it free. It’s not such a spectacular pool that you need a separate charge.

- Xóchitl (10/5): - The location is great. Towel service for the pool could be improved. The property is a renovated public bath house and it is a beautiful renovation of a late nineteenth century building. Rooms are very cozy and functional, with adequate basic amenities.
- Dale (8/5): Comfortable hotel, for non swimmers. - Hotel Oderberger is well located in an area of good local restsurants, bars and shops, Just out of the main city Hub. Breakfast and breakfast staff are excellent. Bar staff are also friendly and professional. The room was generous and the bed comfortable. Pillows a bit strange...large and soft ? Front desk staff are not particularly helpful or welcoming, and need some training in customer service. Pool is often not available as it is also used as function / reception / conference space, which takes precedence whenever yhey get a bookjng. So don't book it solely on the hope of getting a swim. Generally a good comfortable hotel, in a nice area.
- Andrew (10/5): Boutique hotel in great location - This is the second time I have stayed at Hotel Oderberger and it didn't disappoint. I love this part of Berlin and the hotel is in the perfect location to explore. The room was bright, airy and with a huge shower. Breakfast has good options for everyone. And the small bar is perfect for a nightcap. Just a few minutes walk from the hotel is the Kulturbrauerei with its wonderful food trucks at the weekend. And a little further away is the Kollwitzplatz weekend market. And, of course, the flea market is also just a few minutes walk away. And Kastanienallee has great public transport links.

The building is charming, the pool is stunning, the breakfast is exceptional but rather than being professional and offering caring customer service most of the staff seems to be more flippant and the service is far too chaotic and amateurish for such an expensive hotel. - David (8/5): Interesting conversion of old swimming baths - We have stayed at the Oderberger several times since it opened a couple of years ago. The building is the old swimming baths which have been converted into a stylish hotel. The hotel is in trendy Prenzlauerberg - a predominantly residential area with many local restaurants and small shops. It is close to Eberswalderstrasse U-Bahn which is just a few stops to Alexanderplatz. The rooms are stylish and modern rather than cosy and luxurious. Some are on two levels with the bed upstairs and a sitting area and bathroom downstairs. (Watch out for the low ceiling on the upstairs level). A highlight of the hotel is the breakfast which is a magnificent buffet in the restaurant converted from the old boiler and pump house. The swimming pool is still there - but transformed. Beware that the pool is sometimes closed (it can be converted into a conference/reception area). On our recent stay it was closed from Friday to Sunday afternoon. Another nice touch is an electronic tablet in your room which contains all the usual hotel information together with a novel option to ask that your room NOT be made up if you are staying more than one night. There is a cocktail bar which spills out onto the street in summer.

- Martha (10/5): High class modern in renovated space - This is one of the coolest hotels I’ve ever stayed at. Modern chic vibe, in an old restored space. The room was spacious and clean and everything I needed was provided. Bathroom and shower were beautiful (with cool old bath house door!) and windows were huge and let in perfect cool night air-quiet side street in the BEST neighborhood in Berlin. My first trip to Berlin and it was the perfect location.
