- Yury (10/5): Nice little affordable hotel - Great little hotel. Well kept, clean, with a work desk (that I sadly didn’t get to use) and great wifi, with very attentive staff. Great price to value ratio. Nothing.
- MARK (10/5): Great value for the overpriced bay area. - Super cute older hotel that is in incredible modern condition. It's close to the freeway, but super quite. We have stayed there twice and won't hesitate to stay again.
- Sunny (7/5): - Good bed, clean bathroom, convenient location to downtown I needed to turn on the heater. It worked well, but was loud when it cycled off & on during the night - waking me up.
- Nancy (8/5): Very clean & comfortable and provided for needs during our short stay - Staff friendly & efficient
Room clean & bed very comfortable & well appointed
Good shower
Quiet Hard to hang on unremovable high hangers.

Free parking.... a few miles from China Camp State park and Down Town SR. AWESOME kind and caring staff. NOTHING
- REBECCA (10/5): Clean & Newly Remodeled rooms - This is Marin's hidden gem! The motel is on a busy street, but you don't realize that because of the landscaping. We arrived shortly before the office closed, and the young gentleman could not have been friendlier or more helpful. We parked right outside our room. The room was clean, set up well with a large desk and work area, remodeled bathroom, and crisp, new sheets and towels. Will definately stay there again!
- nvers (8/5): Great stay! - We stay at Marin Lodge every year when visiting local relatives. It’s budget friendly, clean, comfortable & a convenient location. As a family run lodge, they are friendly, helpful and take pride in their business.
- Anna (9/5): -
- Melanie (9/5): A Hidden Gem - A lovely old style property that is close to everything but still offers a peaceful, quiet stay. The owner offers complimentary beverages, pastries, and fresh fruit in the morning, and remembered us from our previous stay. The bed is comfortable, the room is clean and well appointed. Considering the location and facilities, we were happy with the room rate. It often takes a while for the water to run hot in the shower. It can be tricky to turn left safely onto the busy street with parked cars inhibiting visibility from the lodge's driveway - not a fault of the property, of course, but still frustrating. That's it
- Gilad (9/5): -
- Penny (10/5): Would definitely stay again. Already recommended it to friends - From check in to check out , staff was wonderful, answering questions.
The room was comfortable, clean an provided everything I look for in a room
- Sylma (10/5): Cute, Cozy and Quaint Cottage Style - I checked in on a Sunday afternoon. Everything went smoothly. Norma was very hospitable and friendly. Cottage-like rooms. The room was clean, and the beds were comfy. It was perfect for a one-night stay. Not fancy, it was cute, quaint, and the location was perfect for my visit I was fine with everything. There wasn't anything I didn't like.
- Marjorie (10/5): Definitely upgraded, lovely host. - Nicely appointed, definitely upgraded from the roadside motel it originally was. You can see a lot of work has gone into this property.
Owner very welcoming and gracious, likes to address guests by name.
Liked being able to pick up some fruit, a granola bar, or a pastry in the morning.
- James (9/5): We stay here often never had a bad experience - Great room at a great rate
- tony (7/5): -
- AnnaMarie (8/5): Great location and value. Friendly staff. Our go-to lodging when in the area. -
- Catherine (9/5): Wonderful cozy spot in Marin County to rest and relax. Your home away from home :) - The decor of the room feels very homey. The room feels like a studio with nice little touches, such as a lounge chair, the lighting in the room (several small lamps), desk area, framed pictures, plants outside the room, even mints by your bed. Refrigerated drinks when you check in, and breakfast items in the morning. You can tell management has invested a lot in providing a nice place to stay for their guests. No table to sit and eat. There is a big workspace area that you can eat on. But everything else is so nice and comfy and makes the place feel inviting.
- Jamie (10/5): Excellenr value and great service. - Awesome staff, nice location, comfortable place to stay. All great
- Wendy (9/5): -
- Jake (10/5): -
- Wilmino (10/5): - It’s wonderful very nice and clean Everything
- Thomas (8/5): Not perfect but when we return, will stay at the Marin Lodge vs fancier hotel we stayed at last fall. - Ownership involvement made stay enjoyable Not as fancy as we’ve become accustomed to, but took me back to my roots and made me appreciate how much effort goes into managing a business
- redwoodshumboldt (10/5): Great place to say in Marin county - affordable and clean - I have stayed twice at this property in recent weeks, and was nicely impressed each visit.
The front desk staff is very helpful and efficient.
I reserved a room with 2 double beds; my first visit was in a very large room near the front desk and this week’s visit was in room 101, which was at the other end of the property. My first visit must have been in a handicapped facility because it was unbelievably spacious.
The second visit was in a more normal, smaller room.
In both cases the rooms were quite clean and the beds (although quite firm) were clean with nice linens. There were 2 mints at each lamp in the room, which I enjoyed.
The bathrooms are small but well-equipped, except for the walk-in shower, which is spacious with all the hot water you need. Again, the linens were first class - very absorbent and very clean.
It is nice to be able park right in front of your room - very convenient and makes loading and unloading very easy.
I would highly recommend this motel to travelers - it has easy on/off access to Highway 101, and is overall very quiet. 4th street in San Rafael, with tons of great restaurants, is just a 5 minute drive away.
It is also quite modest in cost compared to other properties in Marin.

- Melanie (9/5): A Hidden Gem - Friendly and welcoming proprietor, who offered us a complimentary beverage. Our room was spacious, clean, attractive, and comfortable. Although we were so close to a busy road, it was quiet and peaceful. Just a lovely stay; we'll return.
- Samuel (10/5): -
- Sara (10/5): -
- Jeanne (10/5): It was a lovely and very clean room!!! - The Marin Lodge was such a pleasant surprise! The management was friendly, but most importantly the room was great! It wasn't a huge room, but I do believe it was one of the cleanest motels we've ever stayed in. We enjoy staying at roadside establishments where our vehicle is parked near the room. I highly recommend this establishment !!! We just stayed at the Marin Lodge overnight and there wasn't anything I could say I didn't like. The bathroom is small, but CLEAN!!! To me that's worth a lot!
- Steve (9/5): -
- Lois (9/5): - It was a very nice room, the lady at the desk was very nice and helpful.
- Debbie (10/5): charming place. very neat and clean. well kept up -
- Delia (8/5): I would recommend. - nice place - the room did have a smell to it. But it was nice and affordable. the room smell
- Wilmino (10/5): -
- Tiffany (10/5): Great place to stay! - Spacious room for a great price. I love that it feels like you’re tucked away out of town. Very quiet area! The owner was so sweet and very helpful!

- Wilmino (10/5): -
- Adamina (10/5): - Bed was comfortable, linens and towels were clean and I liked the welcoming atmosphere "curb appeal" of the entrance.
- Sandra (10/5): We would definately stay here again - Nice continental breakfast and beverages, quiet location, quaint lovely motel Called a suite but really wasn't much of a suite.
- Linda (10/5): Surprised how nice it was & will return. - The continental breakfast was great. Coffee hot & fresh. They offered 1 soda a day & bottled water. It was very nice & a nice bonus.
Staff was very pleasant. A bath mat with the towels would have been used.
Great place & plan to come back.

- Anne Sophie (9/5): -
- James (8/5): would stay again. - room was fine, adequate space for a small room. Room was remodeled recently with a good use of space. Closet was musty smelling so we didn't use it. Parking was sufficient. Glad to have a small continental breakfast. musty smelling closet
- Manuel (8/5): Good - Pastries and coffee was nice, fruit too—but not remarkable. Location a little ways from restaurants. Didn’t like hangers which could not be taken off of pole rack in closet.
- Alexandria (10/5): Will continue to stay here! - Staff is AMAZING! Very affordable, cute rooms and perfect location Parking is small but not an issue, don't recommend long vehicles
- James (9/5): Very comfortable room - Very nice room great staff Parking is a little tight
- aaron (10/5): -
- ANDREA (10/5): -
- Aaron (7/5): Easy location for a one night stay. - Good location , clean Minimal breakfast
- Louise (10/5): Always a comfortable place to stay. - Having a good location midway between Terra Linda and Sausalito was a convenient location. The rooms are a good size, comfortable and clean. The amenities are generous and the rooms are very quiet. The hot water takes a while.
- Hiawatha (8/5): -
- Richard (9/5): Staff most helpful and the motel very convenient - Location Bathroom was meh
- Jason (9/5): A slice of quiet in the North Bay - Very quiet and comfortable. The staff couldn't have been friendlier. Free beverages upon arrival. Easy access to and from the freeway. Limited parking.
- Robin (8/5): Safe, quiet location with great beds. - The beds were very comfortable, room was spotless.
- Kristy (9/5): -
- Roderick (9/5): Well run and conveniently located to highway and Kaiser clinic. Room was generous with a kitchenette furniture was thoug - It was well located for my intent of being near a Kaiser facility for an early appointment the next morning No breakfast options except you could have coffee and bring something to your room. They did have fruit in the lobby, which was righteous.
- Anne (10/5): -
- James (9/5): - Location Nothing
- JoAnn (10/5): - The bed was very comfortable. The area was quiet. The room was very clean. The staff were informative and engaging of my needs and friendly. I was amazed at the accommodations; a small "Mom and Pop" hotel with a comfortable and secure living arrangement. We stayed twice once on our way south and on our way back heading north. This little tucked away San Raphel location was a perfect place to stop. We avoided the 5 O'clock traffic of the Bay Area commuters staying here just off the freeway. I'd highly recommend to anyone wanting a value of price and comfortably. I'll stay again and again. Don't change a thing! But I will say that the room I last stayed in had a sink that didn't drain well when a volume of water was captured in the bowl. I reported to the front desk and I'd guess it was taken care of.
- Maria (8/5): The place was very cozy, staff was wonderful , I was offered free water bottle and fruits after check in - Very convenient-easy walk to downtown Television stopped working
Water takes longer to warm up
- C Jaye (10/5): - What a perfect experience we had. Perfect location, loved our darling room. We will be back. Such nice owners.

- Arlene (10/5): -
- Danelle (9/5): My stay was great and I loved the morning hot coffee and muffin :) thanks - room was nice and quiet- tv worked great- shower was nice and hot bed was a little lumpy but I was ok- room could use a new floor I prefer the laminate floors for hotel rooms :) or tile
- Deb (10/5): Very quaint, nice property. -
- Adam (10/5): -
- Menkes (9/5): - The room was more spacious than expected with a fairly large desk area. The price was very reasonable , and the rooms were set back from the road so it was relatively quiet. The pastries offered for breakfast were delicious. Everything was fine.
