• Mitchell (8/5): Right place, right people, right atmosphere - The staff were helpful, friendly accommodating and welcoming. The breakfast was lovely, but again the staff were the highlight. The rooms were well set out, plenty of room. The bed was just too hard. It was my only upset.

• Helenna (10/5): Hidden Gem in the middle of Sanur - Amazing location. The staff were so friendly and were there for everything you need. Our room was decorated for our Anniversary, I needed a doctor and it was there is 10 minutes. I had a birthday and got a cake and Happy Birthday delivered to my door. The pools are amazing, the mattress was amazing. 2 minutes to the beach, 10 minutes to Icon and 20 minutes to the south beach each walking. Amazing cocktails too. We will be staying there again.

Perfectly warm even in May and sunny. Plenty of sun loungers available throughout the day. Great location with a nearby cut through to the beach. Large rooms even for standard room. Excellent eggs at breakfast made to order and listen to our requests. Bathroom didn’t have any hand soap or towel. Standard room shower put water all over the bathroom as shower curtain wasn’t very effective. Have heard the deluxe rooms are much better with their showers. Only one flat pillow each. Breakfast was ok. Cold crepes as they were premade, should just be made to order.

• Rod (9/5): FANTASTIC STAY IN TRADITIONAL SANUR HOTEL - Swastika Bungalows has been our go to Sanur hotel for three years and never disappoints. Well located amongst restaurants, coffee shops and bars, wonderful staff, clean spacious rooms, exceptional pools and gardens, everything to make a wonderful stay in a traditional Balinese hotel that's just the right size. Walking to the beach is just a short walk away. Although the breakfast was adequate for our needs it could perhaps do with a revamp but that will not deter us from staying again given everything else is wonderful.

• Bruce (10/5): A great place to stay at a great price. Just book it. - This was our first stay at the Swastika and what a wonderful surprise it was. We stayed a week in a spacious Deluxe room with a view through the garden to the main pool and bar from the terrace. The buildings have old charm and are well maintained. The gardens are spectacular throughout the whole complex and a credit to the friendly gardeners. All the staff, Security, Admin, Breakfast, bar, waiters and cleaners were attentive, very capable and happy. There is plenty of hot water for showers, a good breakfast, relaxing and near to everything you need in Sanur. Well done to the management. This is a five star accommodation at a three star price. We will be back. All was good.

Staff are kind, friendly and helpful. 3 pools on location, one with swim up bar. Situated on the main street but very quite. Super short walk to beach. Beach supermarket and restaurants all in walk. Large, clean and comfortable rooms. Have stayed twice before and will definitely stay again. Room doors are beautiful and traditional but not practical if twin sharing.

• Adrienne (8/5): In centrum gelegen fijn hotel. - Ligt midden in Sanur, dicht bij het strand, winkels en restaurants. Grote slaapkamers, mooie tuin En super lief en behulpzaam personeel. De wifi is waardeloos. Je moet buiten zitten om een beetje ontvangst te krijgen. Daar wordt niets aan gedaan. Ontbijt is ook wat minder. Mag echt uitgebreid worden.

Bathroom with broken tap and makeshift shower in a chipped bath tub. Bed was hard. Aircon blew onto the bed. I could hear reception phone ringing through the night. My go to single night stay was booked out but is much more comfortable and costs half the price.

• ross (10/5): Beautiful traditional style resort - We stayed here at the beginning and end of our Bali holiday. The room was lovely with a balcony overlooking one of the three pools and beautiful gardens. The room itself was immaculate and cleaned daily. They do provide water in your room but it’s great to see they have water refilling stands in the reception and cafe areas. It’s an easy walk to the beach, shops and night market. Breakfast is buffet style with and egg station and lovely friendly staff.

The staff were very friendly. Breakfast was good. The stairs to my room were very steep and not well lit. As an older woman, I felt unsafe. The balcony was hot concrete and hard chairs. It was unusable. The bathroom was in dire need of an upgrade - stained shower curtain and tiles - and this was a deluxe room. No windows in my room other than two narrow slits so natural light was non—existent.

Sampai Jumpa Lagi 🙏 - The staff were absolutely beautiful and so attentive with all of our requests. Loved the traditional architecture along with the beautiful manicured gardens. My partner and I loved the breakfast menu. Lots of choice which included Western & Indonesian dishes. The staff at the spa were wonderful, I highly recommend the salon. Also loved seeing and hearing the traditional music and musicians playing the Rindik which looks like a xylophone but made with bamboo pieces. This was unexpected but so nice to have live traditional music.

(not my type of holiday accomodation, never staying there again) There were two reception areas which was messy set up and had to go to each one, I was ‘requested’ to give my key over every time I left (very odd, they said because they only have one key, again odd), my bedroom door was salon style doors which shuttered and rattled loudly, I had to sleep with the chair and a bag against the door, a draw was missing, the water bottles were very small, no hand towel or face cloth, the liquid soap smelt like chemicals, tired rooms with no character, breakfast was ok. Over priced! Shop elsewhere.

• Sirpa (10/5): Aivan ihana paikka, jonne palaamme joka vuosi uudestaan. - Uima-altaista, isoista pihoista, vehreydestä ja henkilökunnasta, joka on ystävällistä ja saa tuntemaan itsensä todella tervetulleeksi. Myös aamiainen oli meidän mielestämme tosi hyvä ja monipuolinen. Jotkut huoneet kaipaavat uudistusta. He remontoivat huoneita koko ajan, mutta niitä on paljon. Tietysti remontoinnista tulee hieman meteliä.
