Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (2/5): - The property is 20mins out of Marrakech surrounded by building sites that’ll be finished in about 6years.
The food is shocking no real authenticity and poor quality ... restraint service (paid for) only chance of decent meal
The staff are a mixture half obnoxious furniture pieces the other lovely clear management issues hard to find any information when your there. Had a member of staff proposition my girlfriend.
Alcohol water down and little to no real choice on all inclusive massive list of your paying
- Verified traveler (10/5): - place with so much for the eye not to notice. Incredible details, great design ideas for the space inside and outside.
This is my third time here and I will be coming back and back again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - No complaints about it ,everythimg is good the hotel os huge
- Verified traveler (10/5): Séjour agréable - Very good
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Belle piscine extérieure
Piscine intérieure idéal quand l’eau est extérieure est froide
Peu de lumunosite en chambre
- Sez (4/5): - Hotel was really nice. Room was freezing cold and couldn’t get the warm air to work. Gave us 2 single beds when we asked for a double. Hotel is in the middle of nowhere with nothing around it can’t even go for a walk because there is no where to go. Couldnt even go out of the hotel to eat because taxis to the centre where everything is costs 3-400 dirhum Too far away from anything and not much entertainment at the hotel. Food was disgusting an Nothing had any taste not much choice either. No WiFi in the hotel rooms only in the reception an restaurant. Asked at reception for an iron but they don’t have one at the hotel so had to wear creased clothes. Wouldn’t stay here again although the animation team were very nice and friendly and the only ones that actually wanted you to enjoy your time at the hotel.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - the site is beautiful, but the service is very poor.
No shampoo or soap i. the room, Rooms are not cleaned until late afternoon, furniture is dated. the TV and the heater do not have remote.
On the other side, the hotel is beautiful and deserves better services to truly make it a 4 star one.
Merci Sangho
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Kaukana keskustasta hieno allasosasto tosin ei lämmitetty
- Verified traveler (10/5): Fab hotel, great entertainment - Animation team were fab, as were the bar staff. Would defo recommend the all inclusive option if available as we ended up spending a fortune on food and drinks, would’ve probably been cheaper to go all inclusive.
Already looking into going back!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The hotel is nice but out in the sticks, it has a very nice swimming pool area with a lovely spa.
There is a shuttle bus but only until 3pm so if you want to go out in the evening the taxi is costly.
- Diallo (2/5): - No WIFI in the rooms. WC not clean in the reception Area. Food is not terrible.
- Laila (4/5): - I’m surprised that this is a 4. Star rated hotel! It is overrated!!
- redouane (4/5): stay away - this s not a hotel but more like a daycare too many kids .not for cples.
the place s kind of old .maybe 40 y or more.
i wouldnt recomand it for a cples.by the way the nightclub is a joke.
do ur self favor dont wast ur money find another hotel
- Verified traveler (6/5): 5 stars lobby, 2 stars rooms - This is nice resort in the outskirts of Marrakech. The inside area is nice and clean, there is some entertainment throughout the day and in the evening. But a few things should be kept in mind when making decision.
Rooms are very basic, requiring some renovation. No toiletries provided, bring your own. No WiFi in the room - only in the lobby and around the pool area.
No towels are provided at the pool side.
The buffet restaurant is overpriced - 200 MAD/pp. It is a lot better to eat at the small restaurant near the pool, the prices there are more reasonable.
The biggest issue is the transportation. Taxi ride to/from resort is costly. There is a shuttle for 30 MAD/pp, but hotel staff doesn't give you all the information about this shuttle.
- Omer (4/5): - Hotel populaire
Petit dej. Mediocre une fourmilière pendant les vacances
J avais loué 6 nuit, J ai résisté 1 jours et demi puis j ai changé d hotel
- Chartres (2/5): - HORRIBLE!! a évité.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - El hotel no esta mal falta mas mantener las, instalaciones in buen Estado
- Bryce (10/5): Nice hotel on the outskirts of Marrakech - Hotel was nice. Staff were accommodating. Ride into old Medina takes about 15-20 min. Rooms are clean and food is decent. Only downside was lack of wifi in the rooms but having it in common areas forced you to interact with other guests at the hotel which wasn't bad.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Amazing only the reception people were not helpful at all
- Verified traveler (6/5): Outdated hotel - Reception staff incompetent and unable to understand English. There was no kettle in the room and no wifi connection in the rooms either. Before we left the hotel they tried to charge us again for city tax which we had already paid on the first day.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Nice hotel, with big waterpark.
- oleg (10/5): Great hotel. Great location - Exceptional. The hotel is very good value for money. Very well kept grounds...outdoor and indoor pool...shuttle to and from the centre of Marrakech several times a day...Staff are professional and friendly. I enjoyed everything about my stay there. Marrakech, like every other city in the world today suffers from pollution...staying outside the city is, I found, a smart move. Out in the Palmeria, where Sangho is located, the air is fresh and the vibe is tranquil. It takes about 10 minutes on the hotel shuttle to get to the city.
- Renael (8/5): Nice hotel, shame about the location though - We had a great time , all of the rooms were clean and up to standard, sadly it is about 30 minutes from civilization, luckily the hotel offers a shuttle to the main city for 20 Dirhams, also only pay 150 to get here from the airport!
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staff was great, pool is wonderful (especially with the heat!), fun activities for adults and kids
- Youssef (4/5): Achteruit gegaan -
Weinig activiteiten.....animatie team voorheen was veel beter.
- Nins (2/5): The worst hotel - Air conditioner doesn't work properly and I got my towel stolen !!!
- deen (6/5): - Fantastic pool and surrounding. Staff were polite and helpful. Will definitely return.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel outside the town - Problem with language especially English speaking customers
- Verified traveler (2/5): Awful experience - The water took an hour to heat up there was no wifi in rooms which meant we had to visit the lounge area any time we needed wifi. Our room was cold and took time warm.
On our last night there was loud banging coming from the room above us this disturbed our sleep we had to sleep in the lounge until we were given another room.
Staff couldn't understand English so we were misinformed about prices for ironing and other services, the Staff at reception were rude at times and the Pool wasn't accessible due to work being done. No correct sockets in room and no free tea and coffee available there should also be more variety in English tv channels.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice place - it was ok
- Umar (6/5): hotel very far from shops - Hotel was very far from shops costs about 20 pounds coming and going to the shops. Hotel staff helpful and friendly when they understand English but main languages out there is French and Arabic. Taxi driver all ways over charging always but always better to agree the price of the fare before travelling.
- Maricel (10/5): Absolutely gorgeous hotel - This hotel is completely perfect if you want to skip the crowd city, everything here great they have spa gym two huge swimming pool indoor and outdoor, the food great the people work here great they do their best even hard to them to understand and speak English
- Ciara (6/5): Please make some adjustments - Beautiful place but it needs a little more effort from management. The place needs a good wiffi in the reception and all rooms. I came from the USA and my phone doesn't work in Morocco and I was frustrated that I didn't have access to a simple wiffi to stay in touch with my family and friends. All building should have AC inside, when I first arrived i felt hot in the reception building and all doors need to be automatic for people getting in and out and keep the place cool. The gym was closed so does the hot tub which was very disappointing since I was counting on them to relax. I love this sangho but I would comeback until those simple things are fixed and handled. It's a beautiful place other than that. Stuff was very friendly specially the waiter Hicham at the restaurant. He was very nice and professional,
- Verified traveler (6/5): hotel wasn't easy to find at night - We encountered various problems during our stay and will not be using this hotel again
- abdoul (6/5): Hotel is far from downtown - Overall the hotel swimming pool is very good for the kids and the rooms need more cleaning also is no refrigerator in the rooms the breakfast buffet is oky the only comment I can say is the room need more cleaning
- Younes (8/5): Rent a car for possible movement - I did enjoy my stay, I didn't need to go anywhere I have everything inside the hotel
- vinod (4/5): Too far,no comfort, cheating travel desk - Terrible in one word. Very far from town, no basic facilities, dirty rooms, travel.desk that cheats
- Anhilator (2/5): Very far and isolated - Taxis expensive cos hotels far from everything. Rude staff. Wifi don't work anywhere. Outdoor pool freezing
- Phillip (8/5): Excellent Stay At Sangho - The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The room was cleaned to a good standard every day. The breakfast buffett was to a good standard. The only problem was the hotel is 20-30 minute taxi ride away from the medina which cost 100 dirham in the day and 150 dirham at night.
- Matthew (2/5): Tired and run down hotel - Hotel is run down and has definitely seen better days. They blast out Boyzone by the pool from 8.30 in the morning each day, so don't plan on a lie in. Breakfast is not worth getting up for. Stale bread in a country that has some great bread. The worst meal each day was breakfast at the hotel, really dreadful. Wifi is only available in reception and at best is intermittent. At night in winter, the rooms are freezing, as the heating and aircon doesn't seem to work in any of the rooms. There is a lot better a lot cheaper in Marrakech.
- Nicolau (10/5): GREAT VALUE - nicest hotel staff i found in Moroco - this hotel stays far from the center..but come on 30$ one night double room with breakfast, great place even tough its an old hotel and looks like it needs some renewal in some parts..and breakfast was not so amazing, it totally worth it, it was a 4 stars some time ago but with this price not even a cranky hostel was found.has a great swiming pool..great staff and very quiet and im coming back for a week
- khalid (6/5): the hotel is a little bit far from the city - I like this Hotel but the only thing that I didn't like is that there is no refrigerator in the room.
- Adam (4/5): Hotel middle of nowhere - Hotel in the middle of nowhere at least15 miles from the city nothing around the hotel only taxi if you fund them you can't walk outside the hotel a lot of dogs very bad food cold water in the swimming pool
- Sharon (8/5): Sangho Privilège - Hi everyone. I'm from Canada and stayed at this hotel for 3 nights this month of September 2015.
The hotel is nice and clean and the staff was very useful and available when needed.
Do not expect a 5 star room. The rooms are standard and the waTed switches from Cold to hot. However, that's the only thing I can "fault".
The pool is simply amazing; we spent all day bathing and tanning and at night went downtown which is a 10 minute drive away.
Overall, I was a satisfied client and would recommend it if you plan on spending lots of time at the pool.
Sharon
- Sonia R. (8/5): Amazing holiday - We had a fantastic 7 day stay here. Staff were so friendly and interacted with us doing games and classes by the pool and in pool. Housekeeping were also nice and friendly. Room tidy and clean. Beautiful views from balcony. Really miss it.. Taxi drive away from shopping area. Taxi always available outside..
- andy (8/5): Nice hotel, but reception staff poor - Really set up for French and Arabic holiday makers, no announcements/information/menu in English so was a bit of a struggle, rooms do not have a fridge or mini bar as advertised
- Fatima (8/5): - The pool was great.Food was awesome but long line for breakfast buffet.
- Delia (8/5): Pleasant stay - Despite the hotel needing a little TLC, I found the hotel to be very comfortable, staff were very nice and helpful. Food was lovely, lots of variety. Pool bar was excellent. Stayed open from Morning till late, served food throughout the day. Defiantly a good hotel for families, as the kids club is an all day service. Very relaxing. The only downside really as it is in the middle of nowhere, so very little to do outside of the hotel.
- Shanaz (4/5): service was terrible at the reception. - There is a taxi driver named Ali Mohhamad who was amazing provides so much information and gives the best experience where as other drivers one in particular named Omar was constantly trying to rip us off beware!
There is a buffet service very bad food really appalling so very disappointed, however the staff and food at the bar by the pool is very nice the pizzas are amazing freshly made and the service is lovely there. Also the bar staff inside are wonderful
- Hamz (2/5): Disaster - Rude staff, slow service, ants in room, no working AC, no irons, leaking AC unit, no available baby cot
- Verified traveler (6/5): Overall average - The hotel includes 2 restaurants and a bar. The breakfast was more than adequate with freshly cooked eggs and pancakes each morning. We did not enjoy the buffet dinner. The eating areas are frequented by flies, birds sitting on foods and stray cats which is far from ideal. The hotel grounds and pool are breathtaking both in their view and cleanliness. The shower is our bedroom released an army of ants which swarmed the bathroom. This was disgusting!!! I understand that during hot months this may be hard to avoid but regardless it is unacceptable for any hotel in my opinion.
I complained to the hotel reception who confirmed that this was a common problem and he did not understand why they continued to place guests on the ground floor especially when the hotel had availability on the 1st or 2nd floor. The hotel changed our room but our experience had been tarnished.
Overall if the hotel could sort out the ant problem and keep the dining area free from cats/birds/flies then this hotel would be close to a 4 star as the staff (animations team) and facilities are brilliant.
However these 'problems' are not small and most western guests will feel put off so I'm afraid at best this hotel is a 3 star with some 5 star aspects and some 1 star aspects.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Need to sort out the showers and the wifi
- Verified traveler (6/5): Poor customer service! - The hotel was miles away from the city centre.
The staff at the hotel were not forthcoming with information; therefore we spent a lot of time (And money on taxis) trying to find out way around.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Good quality swimming pool and gardens. Old room but clean and comfortable. 15-20 min from the Medina, 100-200 Dirhams each journey. Hotel: Good quality-price, good staff, expensive dinner (buffet), not bad breakfast, awesome swimming pool. Excellent for children!
- Kamile (6/5): Nice hotel but far from city + under construction - Our first day at this hotel was a bit confusing as we arrived at 2 o'clock and straight after checking in went to find a dining place. All restaurants in the hotel were under construction, except for one which was closed because it was not dinner time yet (7pm).. we were offered to buy snacks from a snack bar, which was not bad at all, so overall it was fine.
The major plus for this hotel is a nice and big swimming pool, tenis courts and huge green garden.
However the "GYM"... it's hard to find words to describe :D it was a 20 square meter room with 5 'equipment' 2 of which was out of service. Very dim lights, half broken mirrors.. it appeared as the so called gym was there just so hotel could have a 'tick', marking it has a gym.
Overal stay was nice, despite the distance, hotel rooms are pretty cheap, but it is evened out by pirces of food and drinks as a dinner for one person costs 15 euros and a cheapest small (250ml) beer 2.8 euros..
If you choose to stay here - go for all inclusive. Otherwise choosing a hotel in Marrakech center would be more worthwile.
- Mr Imtiaz (6/5): - Very good place to be if want to spend time under the sun and in pool water BUT you won't find anything else at walking distance not even somewhere to eat. All the other POIs are in the main city, for which you need taxi everytime.
On my check in I was told that they are sorry to tell me that hotel is overbooked so we will send you to some other place to stay but few strict words made my room available.
- Chanine (8/5): Excellent value for money. - For the little we paid for the 4 of us to go, i didn't have much expectation. I would say this is good value for money.
Children staff are awesome and really friendly. Pool is great and slide for the kids.
Marrakesh town is a 20 minute taxi drive away, don't pay more than 100d in the day and 150d in the evening.
We got in and out quite a lot of taxis and very safe.
At £250 per head for bed and buffet breakfast and flight…. brilliant deal and highly recommend.
NO FIGHT FOR A SUN LOUNGER AND UMBERELLA… VERY CHUFFED
- Az (10/5): Great Service - First Impression is good. Nice and clean hotel and the staff are always very helpfull. Breakfast includes Fresh Ommelettes, Fresh Pan cakes, Fresh mint tea, fresh tea. orange juice, croissants and etc.. But no Toast :( Staying at this hotel feels like the royals. My overall stay in this hotel was 9/10 and only lost a point because people smoke in the lobby area and there was no toast.
- Pam (4/5): This hotel needs lots of TLC to make 4 star - We found that it was not what we expected. One it was a twenty minute drive from Marrekech by very old taxi's with no seat belts which cost 100 dm each way. There was no shuttle bus either from the hotel. The staff mainly spoke French so English was not used very much and it was very hard to get information out of the staff in regards tours, the wifi did not work only in the secretary's office and it could not be picked up in the reception area. The dining facilities were awful not too clean and it was a very crowded dining area with buffet food which was a fight to get to due to the quantity of people. Seating was just on round tables which you shared with others and getting seating at times was difficult often on very dirty used tables. The prices for the dinners were over the top for what you received in regards quality. I think if we were to go again we would book a place in Marrekech it self and a smaller hotel which one would hope was 4 star.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Nice pool and staff - Hotel has no shuttle bus to marrakech . So every round trip is around 15 quid . Pool is great but on two days the water turned green due to algae . They need to take better care of pool as well as maintain the property better . Overall we had a great holiday staff is very friendly and exceptionally helpful . It's great value for money . Do not however give laundry - they do not disclose the prices and they presented us with an exorbitant bill at check out !
- Verified traveler (6/5): Only good thing is the pool - Average hotel, staff not very helpful or bothered
- Happy (10/5): Excellent - Very good people good food vegetables I meet interested people friendly you can get everything done for you as soon as possible
- John (10/5): A place to relax not far from Marrakech - The hotel is very nice, though showing signs of aging, it would have been a magnificent site in it's heyday.
Be prepaired for a taxi ride of about £15 return into the city, each time you want to leave the hotel, as there is nothing nearby...
Was only a choice of 1 restaurant which was set price Buffet meal, cost of about £11 per person maybe the other eating options would be open in busier season.
Drinks are a little over priced, considering there is nowhere else to buy them from, it can work out rather costly over the week. Suggest buying bulk from shop in city....take your own alcohol from Duty Free before leaving UK
The complex is kept very clean with people on the go all the time keeping it so.
Would say the place is picturesque with a relaxing atmosphere, except when the Animation team are doing their activities in the pool to music. Information is very limited in the hotel about what there is to do, so make sure you plan before you go.
- Dylan (4/5): Go somewhere else - I arrived at the property at 15:00 after a long and expensive cab ride because the property is not close to Marrakech or Menara Airport at all and I was brought to a room that was not ready. The bed was not made and there was furniture on the bed. The wifi only works in one spot on the property. The hotel telephone in my room did not work, and the television would only work some of the time. I had booked this resort for 7 nights and rescued my holiday by only checking out after one.
- qas (6/5): Beware - Good hotel but in the middle of nowhere.
Taxis are expensive and try to rip you off!
Hotel gave us a rubbish twin room first night and wouldn't offer anything in compensation.
Nice hotel if 35 degrees. Staff can't speak English.
Just a few things to note. And cleaner stole my partners rings.
That's all.
- qaz (10/5): Nice hotel but far from market - Very good exprince I would like to go again but to fat from city taxi cast lot
