• Jen (2/5): Disgusting! - This hotel has cockroaches, I stayed for all of fifteen minutes. Waiting on full refund for the room!
• MarkHernandez (4/5): - It is good for its price with is pretty low but don’t have high expectations. The staff were useless and the hotel in old and could use some cleaning.
• UnImpressed (2/5): - I didn't like anything about this hotel. It had no room phone, refrigerator,or microwave.Didn't offer breakfast..coffee or anything in the AM. I had to go all the way downstairs if I wanted to warm anything up. On top of that I had to pay tourist fee....NEVER in my life have I had to do that and I've stayed at wayyyyy nicer hotels and I wasn't a tourist. There was no ice machine and the tv stations was blurry so there was no enjoying any show on tv. On top of that there were no washclothes in the bathroom upon arrival. The fan didn't work on the AC and that only had one speed which was high. And on top of that it was non- smoking but the hallway spelled horrible like stale clothes or something. I definitely will not be staying at this hotel again the future. At check-in I was ignored while the manager talked to an employee about their schedule and wasn't even acknowledge...so I had to wait almost 20 min just to get a key since I had already paid through my reservation and only needed to sign the check-in form and get my key. The pictures on the web were COMPLETELY FALSE. I never seen a hotel with a flat screen in the lobby but old out dated TV'S in the rooms. The staff was friendly but the hotel itself was subpar.
• Verified traveler (2/5): Stay away - Waited almost 30 minutes to check in due desk person multitasking. The building was hot. The room was dirty, bed sheets, pillowcases, and comforter were dirty. Cable/TV did not work, room phone did not work. The bathroom shower was dirty, there were no washcloths in the bathroom, coffee pot was filthy, no iron in the room. Room was not presentable, patches everywhere. Mirrored a construction zone. No ice or vending machines. Checkout was time consuming as well due to room inspections for deposit return, but im not sure what they inspected because the room condition couldnt have gotten any worse than it was when we arrived. Would never stay there again.
• Jan (2/5): - Disappointment in hotel & your service when I called to say it was not a pleasant hotel your staff was not helpful they charged me extra for my dog .. not expected, Place was font clean the front desk help was wonderful I was too tired to look for another place, I do not recommend this place had 3 names also..
• 1maskedbeauty (2/5): DON'T DO IT... PLEASE RUN - When you get there, they will surprise you with a $50 holding fee just in case the room is damaged. They will not send a housecleaner throughout the stay, then after you leave, they will refuse to return the $50 fee stating the room was dirty, even if you insist that it wasn't. they will say, well you have no proof that it wasn't dirty, so we will keep the $50 my advice don't stay, but if you must. make sure you take pictures. No clean towels or toilet tissue was provided. What kind of hotel makes you request toilet tissue. I had to purchase my own towels from a nearby store, because they said the cleaning service wasn't there and they didn't have extra towels.

• Jason (2/5): Dirty out dated hotel - The workers were rude and they took forever to check me in. The room looks like it hasn't been updated since the 90s. Still has a box tv. The decor was old and AC didn't work well. It smells and the bed frame was not on right. The hotel workers weren't friendly and didn't seem like they wanted my business.
• 110estellaa (2/5): worst place ever - One of the dirties hotels I've ever stayed at. The room, bathroom was GROSS. The board of health needs to check the place out. I wouldn't tell my worst enemy to stay there. When I looked out the window the trash hadn't been picked up in weeks. Then they want you to throw out your own trash. Whats up with that?
• alyssia (8/5): Close to Richmond collisium - Staff was great, hallway carpet is old and smells like mildew but price was great for a short stay, quiet so you can sleep great! Close to restaurants and right off the highway. Customer service was great and room was pretty decent for the price!!

And no one tell me I need to require a day before that housekeeper some service ( like change the towels). I and my brother only stay 3 days, but it only had 2 large, 2 small towels and a half roll of toilet paper. They also have to charge 3 dollars cash per day extra of the rental room!!!
• Christopher (2/5): Absolutely horrific. - From the unkempt parking lot to rude, slovenly staff to the ridiculous, fraudulent, and unexpected extra fees and "deposits," to filthy guest rooms....this place needs to be shut down and investigated immediately.
• Emilie (4/5): Outrageous - After paying for the hotel online via Expedia app, the hotel demands an additional 3 dollars cash "tourism" fee and 50 dollar deposit, payable in cash or card. They tell you if there is even the slightest evidence of smoking in the room, they have right to keep your deposit AND charge up to $250 fine on your card. My husband is a smoker, so this caused a huge fight because it was pouring rain and he did not want to go outdoors. The elevators were old and slow. Bathroom and TV outdated. Entire establishment felt old and rundown. No coffee. Shortage of toiletpaper. Terrible experience.
• Abigail (2/5): Run Run Run!!! - The lady at the front was training a new employee, she was very rude. There was hidden fees, $3.00 which was non-refundable and $50 deposit!!! After we already paid everything online!!! We also had to sign an agreement that they were not responsible for our car that was parked at the hotel!!! The next morning someone had to check the room before we could get our $50 back..and refused to check it infront of us...then she came back to say there is makeup and the towel and she shouldve charged us for that!!! I would not recommended anyone to this place!!! The building suggest it used to be a really beautiful hotel that got closed down and these people rented a part of it and is pretty much trying something.

• john (2/5): The Devils H@ll Hole - The Devils hell Hole Dear Expedia, I had the pleasure of booking a hotel on your site over the weekend. There were some red flags along the way that I should have headed to but it was a last minute thing, so I booked the hotel while going out to the door. The first red flag was the hotel is listed on your site under THREE different names It is listed on your site as the Speco Hotel Richmond, Hotel I-64 Richmond, and the Akaza Hotel Richmond. The second red flag was when I finally arrived after a long drive and there were a group of people having the issue with the front desk about something the hotel advertised but was not able to provide. I had to wait several minutes to get checked in after the police came to try to resolve the situation. An officer indicated that it was the fourth time that they had been called to the property that day, but the front desk clarified that it was due to different situations. No Daily housekeeping as advertised and nothing worked Finally on my day of departure I was supposed to get back my $50.00 deposit that Insured that I did not smoke in the room. Before I could be checked out they had to check the room, which I was a little turned off about, but I was finally leaving. This is when it gets good. I was informed that because of a dirty towel, yes a dirty shower towel worth less than $1.00, they wanted to withhold $10.00 of my deposit. Seriously. • Cicely (2/5): Unhappy Stay. - No fridge or clean coffee maker no microwave in room. When I requested to have one at the front desk I was told there were none available unbelievable. I also request to switch rooms to have the microwave and fridge and was told none available again. A coffee pot was found in the bathroom on the counter with dirty mold disgusting I took pictures and took it down to the front desk and give it to the manager to be trashed. I was very unhappy with my stay there. Hope to hear from a Manager to compensate me for my stay there or to explain the situation. Thanks again Cicely.
• Verified traveler (2/5): Extremely Hot - It was extremely Hot in the room and the phone didn't work to call reception, I usually don't complain but in the morning when I expressed how Hot it was, the lady said they don't turn on the air conditioner cause it cost too much money to keep the building cool.

• RG (2/5): Just terrible! - Made a huge mistake booking at this hotel. First of all, there's a $3 hotel fee per day and must be paid in CASH at time of check-in. Hotel is rundown to the ground (I believe this used to be a Holiday Inn building but I could be wrong). Hotel smells funky, dirty, and not even a full toilet roll in the bathroom. I booked this as an emergency because of an immediately family was involved in car accident and I am 5 hour drive away from home. I informed the hotel for a late arrival. The receptionist was unwelcoming of and even more so, when she found out that I was 2 hours late from the already late given time of arrival. At least I called in that i'll be late! Anyway, I checked-in and checked-out on the same day and they wouldn't even give a refund for the days that I won't be using. There's not an ounce of accommodation in here. I stayed in a lot of 2 star hotels and this by far the worse of them all. I'm not picky at all but this hotels just rubs me up the wrong way especially when it's a 3-in-1 hotel. Yes, 3 hotel names shares a building: I-HOTEL 64, AKAZA HOTEL and SPECO HOTEL. Travelocity agents did there best to get some refund but to no avail. I guess I have to dispute through my credit card.
• dannr2013 (2/5): Bates Hotel / Crack House - Absolutely the worse hotel experience I have every encountered. This is a disgusting and dangerous hotel. Never book a room here for any reason! Problems: 1. Surprise Fees: $3 cash per room & $50 holding fee on your credit card 2. Dangerous: There are long-term residents in the hotel that appear to be addicts. Half the lights are out in the hotel. The elevators barely work. The parking lot is dark and is not safe. Several lights did not work in the room and the lamp shades were sitting on the bulbs. The TV was not plugged in because it could not fit into the outlet due to having so many items plugged into the same duplex. 3. Disgusting: Sheets had blood stains on them and were dirty; the towels were old and stained; there were molds and stains throughout the hotel, the pool looked like a green slime pit (but was shut down), part of the hotel was shut down due to mold/water issues, there is supposed renovation going on in the hotel but it should be shut down to make the hotel inhabitable; the elevators had stains, trash, smells that were gross, even the soap in the bathroom did not work (would not lather and seemed to be more like wax than soap). 4. Service: the front desk people and manager was rude and unclean. The TVs are very old and only pick up a few channels (after you plug them in and set them up). This is the closest experience to staying in a crack house or the Bates Hotel. We actually could not believe how horrible the entire experience was. The hotel has three different names so they can scam people into the hotel with three different prices for the same rooms. RUN AWAY! DO NOT STAY HERE! HORRIBLE!
• Verified traveler (2/5): Never stay here - Literally the worst hotel i've ever stayed at. Needed a deposit up front and charged a $3 "tourist" fee to get the room keys. Then they only set the keys for one night and we had to pay the fee again to get the keys fixed.
• Constance (6/5): VERY UNHAPPY WITH STAFF AND THEY'RE PERFORMANCE - Checked in with service dog and they said even if I had a pet snake I would have to pay extra. I called ADA they ageeded with me that tgey are wrong but they wouldn't back down even though they saw the license. Hotels.com is stepping up to reinburse us. No electric plate on plugs, no wash cloth, no cups, and yes you get a coffee pot, no coffee, no coffee in lobby either. Nice, but you are on your own, I've been paralyzed on left side since I was 23, I'm 68 now. These people gave my husband a hard time and made me feel awful! I was there to work a weekend not play, and oh yes the fire alarm went off at 5:30. No fire but took them forever to turn it off! NO SLEEP!

DO NOT STAY it's dirty nobody is professional they get over with nonsense fees (in which I work in the hotel industry and some of this stuff I've never heard of ) my toilet wasn't flushing when I got to the room they fixed it but it then it just leaked, phones don't work , there were stains on the carpet the couter was falling apart this place is just horrible

• S3991KGsuzanneb (2/5): One of the most disgusting places ever! - In planning a visit to University of Richmon this place came up on my search as the nearest to campus so I booked one night there. Upon arrival the place was filthy. From the lobby and the additional "damage deposit" required to the elevator, the garbage everywhere it was awful. The room was filthy. I slept in my clothing as not to touch the sheets. The toilet had urine all over it and there was what looked like blood stains on the shower curtain. Unfortunately, we arrived so late that we were not able to leave and go to another hotel. We would have been better off sleeping in the car.
• George (2/5): Terrible place - Desk clerk said I hope your room is ready. That should have been my first clue. When the key didn't work I returned to the desk. He scratched thru the room number on a pad of paper and sent me to another room. The key worked but when I entered all the linen's were piled up on the bed. I returned to the desk. This time the clerk escorted me to the first room and used his key to let me in. He said if I left to come back by the desk so he could let me in. The pillow cases were stained. Picture cracked and there was enough toilet paper for half a bowel movement. He had to get towels as there was only one. The guy tried and shouldn't be faulted but I should get a refund as I stayed two hours before I couldn't take it there and we drove home.
• IRISH (2/5): Horrible Stay - This was the worst hotel stay ever after i was told i had to pay again this time it was a deposit and 3.00 cash then we get in the room and it's No toliet paper and No wash cloths and the front desk was not friendly at all will never ever stay there again.

• Verified traveler (2/5): This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. - When I first showed up and they surprised me with two charges. One was a $3 tourist charge and the other was a $50 deductible in case of damages. Also, when I first entered none of the lights in the hotel were on. The the elevator to get to my room was filthy. Only half of the lights were working in the hallway to my room. The ice machine in the hallway was missing. The room itself was dirty and had a smell. The TV they had was out-of-date and the cable did not work. The pillows that they had on the beds were half the size of normal pillows. The heating unit for the room made very loud and annoying noises which kept me up for the entire night. In the morning I found there to be only one towel in the bathroom. This was the worst hotel I've ever stayed at.

There were no washcloths or coffee in the room, (also no coffee in lobby) and I was told that "The owners are too cheap" to provide these basics. Pool was not usable "due to maintenance."
• Jason (2/5): Buyer beware - The hotel was not clean, the rooms had an odor. Overall this place needs a total renovation of construction and employees. Seem's to me this is a drug hotel.
• J264YKmichellel (2/5): 2 months stay - I was on the second floor for 2 months. Not once was I able to walk to my room without smelling cigarettes and pot. Had to report any issues more than once to get the taken care of. The prices were not as listed. They advertised weekly rates of $199 a week but just kept saying we need to add on for the microwave and fridgeven and linens. We got a room with linens and that cost more too. While the room was cheap in comparison to to other long term hotels the room was dinghy and we could shut out the light because the dark curtains wouldn't close. They closed an indoor pool stating it was because kids weren't being watched and someone got food in it...so all guests had to pay for that by not being allowed to use the pool. On the plus side...I didn't find any bugs other than a couple centipedes. We left the room better than we got it and they refused to return our deposit because they said the towels were too dinghy. They were cleaner than when we got there. I would highly recommend paying the extra and going to another extended stay hotel
• Sam (2/5): Get what you pay for... - Property shows its age and lack of attention. $50 deposit at check in was not clearly indicated on Hotels.com. Don't ask for an extra towel, not going to happen. First and last time we will stay here.
• Dr John (2/5): False Advertisement - I booked through Expedia for $43.00 + taxes and Expedia's Fees. When I arrived to check in at the hotel, the manager told me the hotel charges an additional $3.00 above the advertised price and a small tourists fee. I ended up pay $51.00 + for this crummy hotel room. The shower was dysfunctional, the in-room phone did not work at all, meaning I had to go downstairs every time I needed something, the bed linens were not clean and had to be changed, the wash clothes where stained from previous use, the carpet was dirty, and the beds where not the best.
• Chris (6/5): Good and cheap - Paid $45 dollars and it was exactly what you would expect for a cheaper end room. Perfect for our last minute visit to Richmond. No bugs or anything major. It's not the Hyatt so as long as you understand you Are paying for what you get. Worked out perfect for our pocket.

• Michee (2/5): Very terrible hotel - My 4 night stay was the worst! Be careful trying to save a penny like I did. From the moment I walked in the hotel doors it's been a disappointment. The rooms are in poor condition. You will be charged for towels and toilet paper. Not once was trash offered to be dumped. When I finally complained there still was no new bags to give me for the cans. I walked in my room after 10pm to find no hot water to even shower after working all day. The staff are all unprofessional and all stay in the hotel as well. The manager would not come to speak with me so I decided to write a review and send an email. This is a horrible hotel and I do not know who idea it was to run this hole in the wall. This was my first and last time staying here. I expect a follow up call after this stay. I hope no one after me waste their money on this place. Do yourself a favor and do not consider this hotel not even once!!!!!! It's a dump.
• tastytravele (10/5): great stay - So we had read the reviews about this place and decided we would check it out for ourselves. Yes they are doing renovations that you can vlearly see they are working to hurry and fix. The pool was closed which was disappointing but this was not the staffs fault it was because of an inconsidate customer ! The room was perfect, clean, cozy the beds were wonderful. The staff is super helpful and the location has everything you need around you. Come stay and see for yourself this place is great.

• KISHA (4/5): - The staff was unprofessional unprofessional unprofessional, carry-on conversation and not paying to guess, I waited 20 min to check out because there was no one at the front desk, the hotel smelled like a public restroom and I got stuck in the elevator.
• Drew (2/5): Stay away - The only good thing about this place is the cheap price. You definitely get what you pay for. The hotel has 3 different names which starts off confusing. I booked on hotels.com and the front desk staff had a very hard time finding it. Staff said it was because they have old technology. The ad said the hotel had an indoor pool that was never open. The TV in the room was old and only got about 10 to 15 channels. One positive was the room seemed clean. If you need 1 night for a lay over then this place works I guess but anything more than that my recommendation is stay away.
• Lacherel (2/5): Horrible - The manager at the front desk was rude smelled of alcohol , very disrespectful because we stayed there before and expressed there was bugs and was hoping not to run into that issue Again because we actually enjoyed the stay, she stated why would we come back we shouldn't have came back and do we want the room, and just was really nasty and horrible towards my boyfriend and I after that!!! I was really upset it was late I'm pregnant and she just was plain nasty towards us and also stated if we didn't want the room we could leave and not get a refund.

• Ed (6/5): Close to Richmond Raceway - Was disappointed in all the extra charges at check in. Paid for 2 rooms on line but after getting there 1 hour before 3 pm check in time was charged $15.00 per room and a $3.00 charge per room called tourist fee, plus $50.00 deposit for what they called incidental fee. Put in on my charge card but am not sure they are honest about not releasing it on my card at checkout. Will have to wait until card statement comes in. While checking out there was several people that was also checking out and was complaining about several issues but with no avail.

• stluchak (2/5): No hot water. - I couldn't believe how run down this place was. The kicker was trying to take a shower. The faucets are set up so that the hotter you try to make the water the less that comes out in the shower. So you get a somewhat warm trickle at best. They just don't care at this point. Sad really.

• 007edmunds (8/5): A Good Experience - I arrived around 10 pm and checked in. The room was clean and though very hot outside, cool and comfortable. The room was spacious. Though the hotel is older everything was in working order. The front desk staff was professional and very helpful. There was security but the hotel was quiet with no safety issues. There is an indoor pool but we did not take a swim. The wifi worked well with a strong signal. I feel I got a great value for the amount of money I spent. The hotel is located just off of I-64 with many restaurants and shopping close by. I will visit this hotel again when in Richmond.
• A (4/5): SO hot!! Air conditioner hardly worked. - Hotel staff was nice and helpful. Hotel looked ok but as soon as you stepped into the hallway and elevator it was extremely hot. It was 97 degrees that day and felt about that hot inside the hallways. Employee told me they keep the air off in the hallways?!? Got to our room and it was only slightly cooler. Air condition was very weak and we were SO HOT all night. They said the hotel was full so we couldn't have another room. The hotel was very quiet and we didn't hear our neighbors at all. Overall not pleasant AT ALL because of the crazy heat.

• parent (4/5): The hotel is close to Richmond Univetsity - The hotel lobby smells like smoke. It's poorly lit and outside signage needs to be replaced. The rooms carpet smells and the caulk around the tub was a rush job. The shower curtail was full of mole spores.
• Verified traveler (2/5): 3 in 1 Hotel Horror - This hotel has 3 different names. I felt like I was being punked. Check-in took forever. The guy had to find my reservation. I was charged a $50 liability fee on top of the money I had already paid for the two nights I had reserved, plus and extra $12 dollars that showed up on my credit card bill which I still don't know what it was for. After finally getting my key me and my husband head upstairs to go to our rooms in an elevator that clearly needed some service. First thing that we see as soon as we step off the elevator was a huge cockroach. I was so done. The room didn't have an updated tv or good cable channels. The bed was comfortable but small. If it wasn't for Lysol I don't think I would have been able to stay. I will never stay there again.
• Brandon (4/5): The Red-Headed Stepchild of Nice Hotels. - I'm not one to complain a lot but for what I pay I expected more. There wasn't a remote for the TV in the room ( you have to get it from the front desk). The tub was clogged up, so my feet soaked while I showered.The linen on the bed had sort of a weird smell. None of the ice machines in the building work. And I think I found some form of "toy" left from the previous guest under the bed. It doesn't take much to please me, and ask I said before I don't complain, so I dealt with the "amazing" situations I came across at this hotel.

• lisahG6933EO (2/5): STAY AWAY!!!!!!!! - My house burned so we needed somewhere to stay. I found this hotel on Craig's list. I had an American Red Cross credit card. I wanted a room for a week but was only given five nights. The smell of the hotel was overwhelming, you had to almost a break your finger to hold the elevator button in so that it would work. Our room was on the second floor as soon as we stepped out of the elevator and felt like a sauna the floors were stained up and disgusting. We get to our room which is room 225 we walk in and the smell smacked us in our face the floors has brown stains all over them that look like bathroom stains. After inspecting the room behind the curtain we found pots and pans that was used and had grease in them we also found a bottle of some kind of liquid behind the curtain in the room that smelled horrible also under the TV armoire there was trash. Light fixtures was not working was towed by maintenance that the bulbs were too expensive to buy. The shower rack over the toilet was not properly installed so fell off. There were bugs that had a zillion legs. The laundry facilities is one washer and one dryer from the 80s that did not even dry the clothes even though it costed two dollars to dry. The fitness room was under construction so that was out of order. Went into the pool area it was very hot although when we got into the pool we were freezing and shivering. The sauna was murky and disgusting looking you couldn't even see the bottom. I went to the front desk to ask for a roll of toilet paper and was told I had to supply my own. I returned my soiled old towels to the front desk to exchange for clean towels and was told that I could not get any more towels even though they did take my dirty towels and wouldn't even give the old towels back. The amenities listed on the website is nonexistent there is no breakfast no coffee no restaurant none of it. The TV look like it was from the Stone Age there was 10 channels that was blurry and the only button on the remote that would work was the power button and the TV up channel button. I wiped up a soda spill with a towel and once told by the owner that I was not going to get my $50 deposit back because of it. So I told her that since I'm paying $50 for the towel that I wanted the towel for myself. She said there is no way that any of her towels will be leaving the building. She got real nasty and told us we had to leave. When I tried talking to her, she ignored me and was acting like she was talking to an employee. She would not give me her name. When my fiancé try to give his number to one of the employees another employee came out and started cussing him out to get out of the building. The employee then called the police. After leaving I discovered that the owner took an extra $40 off of my American Red Cross card. I would not even let a pissant stay there let alone a human. Also this hotel has five different names you don't know where your staying. No one there can give you straight answers on anything the employees them self talk about how bad the owner is and how bad that hotel is. This place needs to be shut down ASAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know what this can do to a business but this place is the third level of hell. I reserved three rooms earlier in the day. We got there around 10 pm and the place was a zoo. A lot of contractors were in town to fix the electric from a recent storm (shout out to those guys, thank you!) and most of the front staff was doing the best they could. The owner, an Indian woman, screamed at me, telling me she has no more rooms, even when i showed her my email reservation. She was clearly overwhelmed, had zero hospitality skills and thought of she kept screaming at everyone, somehow this would solve the problem. It took 2 hours to check in. Once in the rooms, it became clear that the carpets were filthy and had just been heavily fabreezed. My brother's shower didn't work. He was completely ignorned by the female owner. She loved to scream at people (she did this to at least 5 other people that I saw), turn her back (literally) and ignore her paying guests. The place is filthy, in disrepair, and the owner has all of the hospitality skills of Atilla the Hun. I have traveled extensively and this is, by far, the WORST place I have ever stayed. Please, do yourself a favor and do not stay here.

• Companion640997 (8/5): Transportation Supervisor Lanco Inc. - I only had a short stay in Richmond. It's a place I'd never visited before. Some of the building could use a little bit of a makeover, but all in all it was a pleasant stay and the room was nice. The overnight manager, Russell, was very helpful as far as taking care of anything I needed. His recommendations on restaurants were spot on as well. Next time I'm in Richmond i'll return to the I-64.

Used soap was in the shower, as well as a half used bottle of mouth wash.. The pool was so cold i MADE MY KIDS GET OUT CUZ THEY WERE SHAKING... The staff was nice, but didn't think any of my issues were worth addressing.

Friendly staff that goes overboard to assure a good experience. renovations were in progress but it did not affect our visit. Smoke and pet friendly in which I like. A family air with a secure feeling. Rooms were very well supplied and clean.

• Kathy (2/5): Under rennovation - The hotel was in shambles. It obviously was recently purchased and was not in any condition to be open for business. Because we booked on line, we gave it a try but were too uncomfortable to stay there. I didn't see any other customers other than us. I should have went with my first instinct and not even entered the hotel. They still charged us even though we explained we could not stay there because of the condition of the room/hotel.

• Scales1 (4/5): Won't be back - The reviews that we read were not good before we booked. However, that is were my daughter's soccer team was booked for a tournament. When we arrived, the staff was friendly and the lobby was small, but not awful. The rooms were OK, but could have been cleaned better. The rest of the property was in bad shape. There were holes in the wall and was dirty. When we left for a team dinner on Saturday evening, there were a lot of young people coming in to the hotel for some type of event. When we came back about 2 hours later, there were approximately 50-60 young people in the parking lot. They would not move for the cars to pull in. 2 police cars came in behind us to break up the crowd. Needless to say, we won't be returning.
• Handyhands (4/5): The Shining 2016 without jack - I arrived 1/23/16 at 2pm at the height of the snow storm, I knew something was wrong as I pull up to the entrance and 2 employees are trying to shovel snow in blizzard condition's.., it is not going to happen. The lot was not plowed at all, if not for being out of the Midwest I would have passed this place. I forced the car through the snow and got stuck near the front door on a curb because everything is covered up. once inside the lobby is cold the clerk was wearing a mid weight jacket., after checking in the indoor pool is cold and had to be heated up in 8 hours.I am here till the storm passes. so no pool, the room is great with a view, with out wifi which should came in for all rooms.towels should be replaced they look old.for the temperature being what is was I was looking to take a hot shower...., well I had to put that on hold I turned the hot on and let it run for 15 minutes to see if it had to come from Alaska, and it did a tad under lukewarm. no shower.the following morning while going to warm the car and expected the lot to be plowed and cleared,much to my dismay NO. I checked out at 8 am I left the property at 11:45 am because of the many times I got stuck trying to leave, overall the price maybe great but the services suck. This is a low budget start up and it is far off track from the previous owners that had this place. it had standard,This place ranks for being ready severe weather as a low of 2 out of 10.

• Shulls (2/5): Don't waste you money! - Hotel I- 64 AKA The Richmond Magnuson Grand. When I booked this hotel an Expedia it said "No surprises! Here's the total price!" When we get to the hotel we find out that they are also charging a $50 breakage fee! The hallways are cold and the whole place smells. We get to the room and it is cold the heater barely works. An hour later we move to another room and it is just as cold. The place is dirty and has stains everywhere including the bed! Our room with a view was of the decaying laundry carts out back. This place sucks! It is the worst place I have ever stayed! No wonder it wants to be known by another name!
