Lack of snow removal in the parking lot. I had to shovel the entrance to get out, 15" of powder! Had to get to the hill for first tracks

• Kerry (10/5): My stay was welcoming, I felt safe, loved the cleanliness and such nice people here. - Everything… my room was so clean which is important to me, bed was very comfortable, towels were soft, not scratchy at all, the people at front desk were so helpful & nice to talk to, the front room was so relaxing & inviting to sit in and I read by fireplace for awhile, the little food room next to the office was great as if you needed something it was there and I liked the little shop room out front also (even though I didn’t buy anything). I would stay again if I ever come back up again. Everything was perfect… nothing that I saw as you exceeded my expectations.

• Joey (10/5): Best value, I will stay again. Really very pleased. - Everything except the pillows, the mattress wasn't my favorite either. But LOVED the stocked pantry options. The room has been redone well. It is very comfortable. Night light in the bathroom. Great touches. Pillows. The mattress was a little bit hard, but the person with me thought the mattress was great. Both agree the pillows were not good though.

• Ambrose (10/5): - This hotel was a very pleasant place to stay. The staff was friendly and helpful. The property is very well maintained, clean, and quiet. The parking lot was well-lit without being obnoxious. It's also great that it's dog friendly, and the other guests with dogs all kept them well-behaved. I would definitely recommend The Mountain Inn at Lutsen!

• Derek (6/5): - Room was very clean amenities are very good. The only thing I have to say is the plumbing was less than stellar. The toilets took forever to flush. The shower and the sink did not drain very well. You were standing in a puddle of water while you were showering. Staff is very nice.

It was lukewarm both at night and in the morning. The bed was comfortable and staff were nice. Other than that I would not recommend this hotel

• Justin (8/5): - The hotel does not have an elevator; and though it did not offer a continental breakfast either the elevator is probably a bigger complaint; I appreciate what the hotel is going for, as they are catering to skiiers who are in better shape and possibly younger. That said, this hotel is really geared for this type of patron; lots of spaces for gear, and otherwise is very clean, very friendly staff, and a well maintained property. Call in advance if you want a ground floor room.5

Good shower pressure with nice hot water and good lenti of towels. A little drive to food but even that was worth it, no continental breakfast.

It was quiet and pleasant. The sink was slow to drain and the toilet leaked. We had to ask for fresh towels because the ones in the room were damp. The window had a crack in it. Everything was damp in the room including carpet, bedding etc.
