- Alida (10/5): Charming and great value! - Perfect charm and good value, amenities a plum within walking distance to the supermarket, restaurants, river walk. .
- Carlos (6/5): Good comfortable - Quiet safe parking close to food shopping
- Pat (10/5): We Will come again soon! - I loved the quaint decor, the paneling, it was clean and comfortable.
We will plan to stay there the next time we’re in Durango, the end of Sept, this year.
- Rick (10/5): Always a great stay! -
- Ben (9/5): A very comfortable, enjoyable stay. Would wholeheartedly return here at the motel again with no issu - Late night or very early morning, a pounding like someone knocking on door. Investigated by myself by looking out window, hopefully un noticed by what was making the noise, did not reveal anything. Happened 3 times with each incident not revealing the source.
But in that regard, we did notice trash cans knocked over with their contents strewn about. Having witnessed these signs before, we decided that a Bear had visited the area around the motel. The area of where we stayed, is inhabited by wildlife, including Bears, so thankfully, we were not bothered by what apparently happened
- David (9/5): The owners of the motel were very nice and helpful they made sure all my needs are taken care of - I like the fact that it was on the main Street and the trolley stop was right there by the motel everything was easy accessible restaurants bars gift shops
- Kenneth (1/5): never again - Bed was pretty good. Frig and micro worked fine. The door lock was the worst I have ever seen. The metal latch screws were removable with my bare hands. The dead bolt went into a wood hole. No metal reinforcement was used. Didn't feel safe. Before going to bed, I blocked the door from the inside.
- Sara (9/5): Good stay for the price - This place was good for the money. availability, and clean fot it's age. I like the single story building and being able to park right in front of your door. This place was good for the money but I wouldn't consider it above a three star hotel. it's just older, clean, but nothing classy about it. We were just passing through town so only stayed one night. If I were staying a few more days, I would get somewhere a little nicer

- Kimberly (10/5): - Location,quit, comfortable
- Kevin (7/5): -
- Mark (3/5): - No breakfast...this is an old motel that really needs work. The owners need to fix this place up...a lot!

- Lynne (7/5): Enjoyed our stay, would stay again, Thank You -

- Woodrow (1/5): Nope. Not doing this again. - The bed was so old that the springs (yes springs) were digging into my hips while I tried to sleep. I couldn't walk for 2 days after my stay here. As an added bonus there was an air conditioner that kept turning on and off really loudly. The manager charged an old credit card and didn't give me the opportunity to charge my room to a different card, which messed up my finances. The manager called me within an hour of check in wanting to know "when I was checking in". Really? I come to find out he was trying to leave early and ended up leaving my room key outside in the front. Apparently check in is only from 4-5pm. If you try to check in later they leave your key outside. Overall this was a bad experience. I was not happy with management or the room. It was also $200 which is really overpriced for a flea motel.
- Danish07 (2/5): - Very disappointed with the room set up. The water flows cold at both washroom tub and handwash tub and isn't hot or warm and literally the water flowing out so cold. How could we take a shower with that. The room space isn't big for 4 pax and noisy traffic over the night. There is no intercom set up in the room to communicate frontdesk.
- Bridgiot (1/5): - The location Rooms too small for the price. Room was not clean and heater didn't work
- Martha (8/5): -
- Michael (8/5): -
- Brett (10/5): Comfortable and peaceful -
- Michel (9/5): Le Colorado cool - Le style, l'ambiance familiale, la gentillesse du personnel.
Les équipements - une vraie serviette de table dans la chambre...
Bon rapport qualité/prix rien
- Mary (8/5): Enjoyed the stay a lot except for issues stated above. - The room had some cute amenities, like a log in the room. There was a high, built-in wood shelf to eat on. The beds were comfy. There’s a great bbq place nearby. We loved the nightlight toilet! One side of the room had a dresser and closet but no light at all. I used a flashlight to see what was in my suitcase. The kitchen had inadequate silverware and utensils for cooking.
- Patricia (10/5): -
- David (9/5): Good - Location
Drive up to room Parking is a little cramped
- Brooke (8/5): - They let me park my car here well before the check-in time, which was helpful so I didn’t have to pay extra somewhere else to park for a few hours. It’s a little dated and not the cleanest but definitely one of the more affordable places in Durango.
- ries (3/5): Geen waar voor je geld. - Geen geluidshinder van verkeer ,
Rustige plek. Receptie niet open op openingstijden.
Geen koffie te verkrijgen in de ochtend.
2 padjes op de kamer is alles.
Interieur sterk verouderd.
Beddengoed smoezelig. Ook vlekken.
Ongeïnteresseerde bedrijfsvoering lijkt t .
- Brenda (10/5): - This is the worst place we've ever stayed. The comments that was left on Expedia giving it a great place, is not true. If I was Expedia I would not recommend it. Dirty, nothing like the picture, no remodel in our room as stated. Kitchenette was a joke. Regular cups and glasses out with no protective covers. Should be using throw away cups. Were did they clean them bathroom. Floor tile was dirty, cracked and loose. Could not get heater to work. I could go on. Just find a better place.
- Jesse (10/5): - Friendly staff, good stay.
- jamie (8/5): -
- Steve (8/5): - It was fine; served the purpose
- Moldenhauer (9/5): -
- Barbara (4/5): - It's was pretty rundown. The toilet did not work . Had to flush it 5 times to get stuff to go down. The sewer backed up right outside our door under our car. The staff asked if we could move our car at 10pm so he could stop the overflow of sewage coming out flowing down the driveway. Don't like to complain about a place but it was not good. The bed was comfortable.
- Debra (10/5): - Everything. The room. Location. People. All of it. We couldn't stay longer. We had to head back home.
- Lisa (8/5): Nothing to dislike - Great stay Nothing. All good
- Viktor (7/5): Nice clean motel - Many restaurants nearby
- Dean (9/5): A good place to stay - Nice old school model with cozy rooms. Nothing really
- John (9/5): Nice little rustic motel. Staff was super friendly. -
- kevin (10/5): - Good staff. Family owned. Clean rooms. Highly recommend.

- Elizabeth (10/5): - Always my go to
- NICKI (8/5): Great place..tight parking - Kim was super friendly and informative when we finally arrived after our rainy travels. The room was very dated but clean and had a mini fridge, microwave, sink etc...we.were pleased. The bed was super comfy (I wanted to keep the soft blanket). Group of car enthusiasts who took every single parking spot...we had nowhere to park near our room. They lingered in front of our room door making it difficult to get in and out.
Housekeeping didn't refill TP and hotel owners left on vacation...so we had to supply our own(it was late when we realized this) not huge issues but a little irritating
- Kevin (5/5): Unpleasant - Noisy motorcyclists hangout… rumbling bikes all day all night The noise from other guests
- Kozakiewicz (8/5): -
- Paula (10/5): I would definitely stay again! - Stayed 2 nights in Sept as part of road trip with a friend. Adorable family owned motel. Super clean and comfy and only 5 min to train. Great price!
- Eric (9/5): -
- Sylvie (9/5): -
- Caroline (4/5): - Good location. The location was appropriate, but price was high for what we got. Our room hadn't been fully cleaned when we arrived and staff seemed unaware that we had arrived.
- Emmette (10/5): - Nice, simple and clean. Very cute motel. Will definitely be our place to stay in Durango.
- Kolterman (10/5): Avery cozy place to stay. -
- Gloria (6/5): - The mere was no ice. The lighting in the room was very poor.
- Laura (10/5): Would stay again - The character and charm A little dated but that’s part of the appeal
- Sarah (6/5): - Quaint
- Danny (8/5): Pleasant layover on road trip - Location
Charm
Friendly welcome
Overall cleanliness
- Manny (10/5): - Great stay lovely family awesome location
- Lonnie (9/5): -
- Lou (9/5): - It's a charming old motel
- Gary (10/5): -
- Zoey (10/5): -
- John (5/5): -
- Sarah (10/5): - Very cute motel with super helpful staff
- Nia (10/5): - The rooms are older but very clean and fun. There is an area where you can cook out if you want, and a small play area for the kiddos. It was excellent value for what we needed, a place to land while we went sight seeing. Thank you caboose motel!
- Nicola (4/5): -
- K Hashem (7/5): Not quite what we had hoped for - The location was wonderful for us, we were there for the trains, and the hotel is across the street from the tracks, and access to a trail that runs along the tracks and river.
It was rustic, there were incredible pine trees towering over the grounds, and there was a lovely gazebo with some sort of family gathering happening.
There was walkable food options, and a grocery store a short distance away. Beds were comfy enough. The wifi was decent It took a while for someone to come around to the front desk to check us in.
One of the beds was so squeaky!!! It was a little on the shabby side of rustic, and frankly, overpriced. I feel like it has been around for ages and families return year after year, looking for nostalgia and paying a top market price for it.
We also couldn't find anything resembling a gift shop.
- Lori (7/5): It was fine and I would probably stay there again. - IT was convenient to where we were going. It is old and could use some updating but it was fine and and was basically clean. The kitchen area could have used some paper towels and some plastic forks or plates since there is an oven and a microwave
- Stephanie (8/5): - Unique little place.
- Chris (10/5): -
- James (2/5): would have done better in a tent - Close to downtown Durango not much
- Marjorie (10/5): - Super cute place in Durango. Walking distance to lots of things. Highly recommend!
- Judith (8/5): - Location Light came into the room as the air conditioner was in the window and I am light sensitive
- clay (10/5): - Price location and staff
- Linda (8/5): Nice - Location was great we walked to the Rodeo. Owners are nice, it's a family business
- Laura (9/5): Step back in time with family owned motel - Hot showers and comfy bed.
Loved the theme Gift shop
- Courtney (10/5): -
- Kathy (8/5): - We didn't have any breakfast
- clark (9/5): Great rooms, great price, great location - The retrro style of the rooms is great!
- Tamara (10/5): -
- Tyler (10/5): Great Spot in Durango! - Great price (for Durango), the rooms were great with a nice kitchen and a log cabin feel. My battery died in the middle of nowhere and I arrived long after the lobby was closed. They were nice to leave the key in an envelope.
- Donald (6/5): -
- Cora (6/5): -
- robert (8/5): Nice Stay As Usual - Excellent stay, as usual. Easy check-in, friendly, down to earth staff, nice room, and good Durango location. Very fair price. I’ll stay here again!
- Antonio (1/5): Old & dirty - Nothing This hotel is old and dirty. The Wi-Fi didn't work at all, the refrigerator wasn't cooling at all, the table lamp didn't work, and the ceiling light flickered like disco lights. The best part was the blood stain on the sheet.
- Marquis (6/5): Almost there - Quiet , private, and Quant. Cute place. The table and night stands in the room needed cleaned. The lamp shade had cobwebs. The air conditioner squealed.
- Terry (8/5): - Worked out great. Old and nostalgic type rooms. Reminds me of years ago. Easy check-in and room was clean.
- Jessica (8/5): - Owner was very friendly upon checkin. Room felt old fashioned and homey. Other than a few stains on the carpet, looked clean. We stayed 2 nights and would definitely stay again. Great place for the price!
- Kathleen (2/5): Nice owners. Poor experience - Clean bed. Clean bathroom. A/C Smell of burnt something in the room, couldn’t get tv to work, poor lighting, needed updating.
- Charlotte (5/5): -
- Thomas (7/5): -
- Deborah (3/5): What you see on Booking is NOT what you get. - It was walking distance to a restaurant and not too far from downtown. The photos shown are NOTHING like what they really have to offer. Very run down, not clean, the coffee pot has burnt coffee in the bottom and the whole maker was filthy. The room are very outdated. Horrible for what they charged me. The office was only open in the late afternoon.
- clay (10/5): -
- Bruce (9/5): Thank you for your hospitality and great value. - clean and low priced. Had a kitchenette! Wife was especially disappointed to see a picture of a naked woman hanging on the wall. It was just of her back, but still bothered us, so we took it down during our stay.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Run-Down Motel - The hotel could really use some renovation. Rooms were quiet and that's a plus. The AC in our room quit because the filter was clogged; I cleaned it out myself. The TV was really funky and I could never get it to operate the way I wanted. Family run operation with no one ever at the front desk, you need to call them on the phone for help. But they may not be available when you need them. Poor bed and pillows.
- Carolyn (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay there. It was conveniently close to the train station for our train excursion in Durango.
