• Seppo (10/5): Nice clean stay - It's clean, its central to the town. Stayed there 2x before It seems, every hotel/ motel room sanitizer ingredient is the same. It burns your nose for a while..not a fan!! Sometimes I have to open doors & windows to air it out..

• Richard (6/5): Stand-alone unique motel for the area. - Great location for folks who like to walk throughout Solvang. The rooms are on the smaller side, but we actually liked that. They maintained the rooms classic look and feel, especially in the bathrooms. Not your cookie-cutter contemporary motel. The shower was disappointing in the height and water pressure of the showerhead. One cannot hang anything of length in the closet since the bottom half is filled with a fridge. Unfortunately, on our stay they experienced water issues and had the water turned off for hours at a time. They did send out text with status of the work, but the time estimates did not match up with the real time it took to complete. Oh, and a head's up if they are busy the parking lot gets filled up quick. We had to park on a street behind the motel. Good news is the neighborhood is very safe, and our car was fine parked off site during out stay.

• Jennifer (6/5): Unsafe and over perfumed - The amount of fragrance or Fabreeze used in this room made it very difficult for us to enjoy the room. We had to leave the door, windows and aircon on for hours to be able to breathe without wheezing. Also there was no smoke detector in the room. Room 3. Could not change rooms because the hotel and town were booked out for Easter week. Will not be back.

The shower trickled water, made me think that the shower was not cleaned as it would be obvious that no one can shower like that. One of the four of us was able to shower in another room, one didn't shower, two of us struggled.

The bathroom toiletries including hand soap weren't the greatest quality and sometimes didn't feel sufficient in cleaning capability. Beds were super soft, lacking support for the back, which made it uncomfortable waking up in the morning.

The window looked directly onto traffic and vice versa. The room was cleaned with an overwhelmingly fragrant product that triggered allergies. We checked out and stayed elsewhere.

• Genevieve (8/5): Nice, clean place when you’re all about seeing the surrounding area and just need a comfy place to sleep and shower. - Clean and quiet. Close to the hub of Solvang central. Leaving the parking lot in the morning can be challenging. And parking is a bit tight if you’re the last one in at night when the hotel is at full capacity.

Great fireplace and seating in center, off main street. Breakfast voucher for coffee or alternative and Danish at Olsens just across the street. Bikes available to use. Very nice. All was wonderful

Clean room and comfortable beds. Nicely appointed bathroom. Friendly staff who provided excellent service. Will definitely stay again. Room had nice space but the furniture was positioned so you could not easily access the ac or the side of the bed. The refrigerator was old and freezer had no door and could not accommodate our cold pack. Shower floor was unexpectedly slippery when wet.
