- Parminder (1/5): - Location is good 1st very rude staff- specially reception - smelly rooms never cleaned properly. Sometime Aircon won’t work ..
- Chris (7/5): -
- Ganzevles (5/5): Rooms are not clean. Stains on floor and on beds - Location Cleanliness
- Kaylie (8/5): -
- Osmani (7/5): -
- Cody (7/5): Great location - Location perfect Nothing
- Hannah (1/5): Avoid at all costs! - Not a single thing I liked. The staff were rude and unhelpful, didn’t answer the reception phone, the room was tiny and unclean with a large hole in the wall next to the bed…filled with rubbish.
We called the hotel about 6 times over three days before stay and the phone wasn’t answered once. When we checked in, we again asked for a cot and they said they’d drop one in the room. When we got back at 10pm, there was no cot. We asked again at reception and they then said “we don’t have cots here”.
They also price gouged for the Easter show -$400 for a “budget” hotel.
- Sean (7/5): Good clean rooms in a great location. - The hotel is conveniently located in Olympic Park and was mostly clean and well presented. The staff were helpful and the onsite parking is good. $40 per day is pretty steep for the parking and to be fair the breakfast is pretty ordinary. The rooms are nothing flash but I guess that is why it's Ibis budget.
- Moana T Mataitoga (7/5): - Location, and the room was convenient , loved that the dairy shop.was.nearby also, bought out needs from there Parking, checked when booking , but paid $40 as requested upon arrival
- Julie-Anne (10/5): This is the safest place to stay and a pet friendly place - The location The staff

- Claire (6/5): Did the job, but that's about all. - It did the job, but was rather basic. Not the cleanest room we've stayed in and accom in SOP can be kinda pricey so would have hoped for a bit better there. The customer service wasn't fantastic. We left an item there and it has been hugely challenging to get it back. We will eventually but the customer service team have not been hugely helpful with this at all and still haven't called back as promised some weeks later. It is an item of significant value as well - which belongs to a child with special needs who is rather upset about this.
- Garry (4/5): Will never stay again, will happily pay the extra for local comfort - Nothing - Affordable however for another $50 a night you can get much better and cleaner accommodation locally. Booked for three nights and tried to move out after the first however no local availability. Cheap however did not support a relaxing getaway due to the standard of accommodation. Small cramped rooms with very basic facilities. The hallways, reception area and lifts were dusty with dirt and bits all over the floor and under items. Staff/Cleaners/Laundry person unhelpful and paid more attention to being on their mobile phone rather than assisting. The room had the smallest shower space and basin area. Only one pillow supplied per person.

- Deirdre (7/5): Pleasant - Close proximity A little out dated
- maurice-forman (10/5): Great place good pricing - Pan cake were great good facilities
- Michael (3/5): If you're trying to book into the good ibis up the road, double check. This is the ibis budget. - Room was clean when I arrived. Comfortable queen bed, small desk and chair, air conditioning and (empty) mini-fridge, and space to hang my suit. The TV worked fine. Located close to bus stops, ad a short walk away from restaurants, a pharmacy, and a Woolworths. I stayed for 6 nights, and housekeeping came once in that entire week. I had to beg for fresh towels at reception, and the rubbish bin wasn't emptied until day 4. The pancake machine in the complementary breakfast bar was broken for the first two days of my stay. Only other breakfast options were toast, cereal, or fruit and yoghurt.
Although they claimed to have 24-hour reception, there was no one there when I checked out at 5am.
- Jewels (7/5): - Close to woolworths and other places
Bed was comfortable and warm Freezer leaked and made a puddle of water in fridge. Also wrecked food that was in the fridge.
Aircon system rattles and made funny noises while on.
Morning I left there was electrical/building maintenance being done at 730am in the morning.
Light beside bed didnt work so only could turn lights off at switch near door.
Lights were very bright...too bright
- Munh (6/5): -
- Sam (6/5): okay - Close to conference and inexpensive for my company Carpet and shower cubicle dirty.
- Mark (7/5): -
- Michelle (8/5): - Close to the stadium The parking fine we got
- David (6/5): - Breakfast price was abit much paying $20 each for ceral, toast and pancakes shower head was broken couldn't get a good stream
Shower screen leaked all over floor
And then extra on top aswell for parking
- Allison (7/5): - Cheap, helpful staff. No hairdryer
- Naomi (9/5): - Convenient location to pool and facilities
- Georgia (6/5): Ideal walking distance to venues, otherwise basic. - Distance/location to concert venue
- Jeremy (4/5): -
- Dylan (10/5): Thank you -
- Tara (7/5): - Staff member was fantastic! I had no blanket or remote control. He brought straight away. The room was tidy & generally clean. The top bunk did not have a blanket ( booked for 3 guests, in a 3 b room), which should have been checked.
Cleaners need to look a little further, chewing gum stuck under the bunk/above bed & I dont even want to think what was on the curtain!
- Mary (7/5): Great location cost not so muc - Proximity to the Athletics Track The cost per night for what I got. I had an additional night in Sydney and stayed else where half the cost and better facilities. But I get supply and demand
- Arteka (1/5): - Nothing It’s old the rooms are tiny and rundown and the bed moves around not worth the money
- Andrew (8/5): -
- Jennifer (10/5): - Close to venue
- Bottomley (4/5): -
- Brianna (4/5): -
- Brian (7/5): No Frills in Homebush - Great location. The bedding setup was unfortunate.
- Lauren (8/5): -
- Donges (4/5): -
- Frank (8/5): -
- Stephen (8/5): If your working in the area, you can’t pass this venue - Location to where I was working Breakfast
- Dorse (9/5): Comfortable - Locality and services available to motel precinct Air-conditioner wasn't operational and cleanliness under bed needs to be addressed.
- Shane (6/5): -
- Kelly (9/5): -
- shayley (9/5): -
- Todd (8/5): - The rooms are starting to look like they are in need of upgrading
- Vic (10/5): Enjoy it as staff were friendly. - Close to the event I was in. All good
- ellie (9/5): Excellent - Very clean and staff were lovely We liked everything
- TONY (7/5): Easy and convienient stay - location great.
- Amy (9/5): -
- Nathan And Rheann (3/5): - The location.
Staff struggled to find our booking on arrival but we're generally friendly on check in. Aircon and fridge were very loud all night.
The room is very minimal. No iron, no PowerPoint's near the bed for phone charges and very dated.
The separation curtain between the shower and bed was dirty.
The bed quilt between the two sheets was covered in stains.
We were only given 1 card which was needed for the lights in the room and the entry. We were there as a couple, but one couldn't run doing stairs and collect a food delivery with the access card, without the other being left in the dark.
The vending machine items were old and discoloured and there was always empty cans or rubbish near the elevators.
- Joanne (6/5): -
- Simon (8/5): -
- paul (5/5): Over priced and won’t stay in budget again - Bed and pillows Room size
Room layout
- Sudhira (3/5): Booking.com should have told me that we can get the parking if we had booked our stay directly with the hotel - We were told that first come first serve for the car park Rang and told about the disable person car park Was there very early but when we reached there they told us they can’t give the parking space to us because we didn’t book directly through them We had booked through third party So booking com should have told us this before
Not happy about this
- Venessa (6/5): Staff were very friendly and helpful. A convenient location to entertainment arena/stadium. - It was very close to our venue. Shops were accessible. The room was not what we booked. We ended up with a bunk bed room with a queen bed. It felt cramped. There was also a couple of cockroaches. One on the counter and one in the fridge.
- Catrina (8/5): Great location and clean rooms - Location was excellent, staff were incredibly helpful and my room was spotless The kettle had a bit of trouble turning on and there were no face towels but besides that, it was great.
- Darren (7/5): It was good. Staff were great. - It was good. Parking not being included in the cost of the room. It was also not clear that this cost extra and that you had to book it.
- Schofield (8/5): -
- Rebecca (8/5): -
- Laura K H (8/5): -
- Bradley (7/5): - Great location for area acces Walls where filthy.
- Susan (4/5): Location is good but rooms need a deep clean and needs to be painted freshened up very old and tired - The location was good. Staff are very friendly but that was it. The room stunk to the point. I went and bought Neil to get rid of the stink out of the room. Carpet is disgusting. Needs cleaning very smelly rooms.
- Nakeeta (6/5): - Very close to Qudos Arena for concert. Very very basic room. Bit pricey for what it is
- Trent (8/5): -
- Kate (6/5): -
- Lauren (4/5): -
- Erin (8/5): -
- Frank (7/5): I would stay there again if attending an event at the showgrounds - Storeage of our bags prior to checkin
Friendly and helpful staff at checkin
Quiet area despite the sporting activities
Breakfast was very good Room was wheelchair friendly (because I requested no over bath shower)
Very little space for bathroom toiletries
No handtowel or face washer supplied
No TV remote in the room (it was made available)
- Adam (5/5): Very small rooms. - Only a short 5 minute walk to Qudos and Easter show. Rooms are tiny, no parking available, no fan in the room for when you have a shower, staff never answer the phone for questions, price should be cheaper for the room and is always non-refundable.
- Brent (2/5): - Room was musty wet smell The room
- Scott (1/5): For the amount charged and the early booking and payment made I expect better - The location I had booked for 2 nights, booked and paid 29 January, was told no car parking the day before arrival.
The room was so basic 1 power point in the room, noisy fridge one side of the bed and noisy a/c unit on the side, toilet door just about coming off its hinges. We left and didn’t stay the second night.
- Georgina (8/5): Good for 1-2 nights max - Close to showgrounds, friendly staff Tiny rooms for the price but you get what you pay for with the location
- Kacie (8/5): -
- Campbell (7/5): - Location and parking Needs a bit of a spruce up. Worn flooring and very noisy aircon. Toilet brush would be good. Cracked vanity. Overall tired room
- Aj (10/5): -
- Deandra (5/5): -
- Arun Anand (10/5): -
- Arun Anand (10/5): - Ok Ok
- Sophie (2/5): - Very close to the stadium The room stink, and had white stain on the carpet
The bed was comfy but wouldn't stay there again even tho it was very close ti the stadium.
No parking. Luckily there was parking around the area. We had to drive around a bit as they had swimming carnival and other this on.
- Kerrie (5/5): Great location, very poor rooms - Loved the location The very tired rooms, I had a shower with a cracked floor which was taped up
- Jocelyn (8/5): Great location & value for money! - Great location - close to supermarket, cafes/restaurants, pub, sporting venues & very good value for money. Good shower, comfy bed, parking available close by ($35/day). No street noise. No mirror in room - has been one above the basin in bathroom, but gone! Only one chair to sit on - the room caters for 2 people. Some reception staff not very friendly. Room not serviced after the first night.
- Cameron (3/5): - Location Misleading smelt funny not the room we booked
- Evelyn (9/5): A night in Sydney to see Mumford and Sons - Good location for easy access to concerts and restaurants.
Very comfortable beds
Nice shower
Lovely outlook onto gum trees
TV works!!
Quiet
Aircon worked well The room could've been a bit bigger
- Anna (7/5): Affordable event accommodation - Fantastic location (easy walk) for attending a concert at Qudos Bank Arena. Good value. Reasonably comfortable beds. Would stay again. Paint colour in our family room needed a refresh, and toilet room was very cramped (and I'm a small person). The ladder on the bunk bed was super difficult to climb, even painful for bare feet. Noisy bar fridge that we switched off so we could sleep.
- Mabasa (7/5): Good - Close to where I was going in the morning I got the impression that I booked a room with a double bed and a separate bunk bed but it was a bunk with a double bed at the bottom and a single at the top
- Melinda (4/5): Won’t stay again at the price charged. Definitely not worth the money - Location good Very run down for the price!
- Thomas (2/5): -
- CH (5/5): - Location was perfect for the concert we attended. Could park, but at an extra cost.
Room was clean and tidy, blockout blind Price for what you get is crazy. If you are only sleeping here for a night, that’d be fine but you wouldn’t want to spend any extended period of time here. Tiny room, a curtain as privacy for the bathroom area, paying extra $40 for parking
