Oxana (8/5): The hotel surprised us as its amenities, cleanness and comfort exceeded our expectations! - Hotel is very clean and well kept, that really stood out as soon as we walked in the lobby. Our room was spacious. Stuff is very friendly and accommodating. The pillows were way too hard and thick. Fortunately, the stuff was able to provide us with two thin pillows! We were very grateful for that and able to sleep.

When I told the front desk she didn't seem concerned because it was not left fully open. Washrooms could definitely be cleaned better. A lot of dust and scrubbing needed.

The Hotel is clean, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the Staff are always very polite and kind. It's great to have the coffee/tea bar on near the reception. I don't like the coffee that is in the room because there is no cream or milk just powdered creamer.

JoeyLM (2/5): Repeated Attempts to Contact Property Went Unanswered - I am very disappointed with the lack of communication from Sandman Oakville. I left a curling iron valued at approximately $270 in my room and have been trying for almost a week to reach someone. I left three voicemail messages with housekeeping, a voicemail for the manager, submitted a message through the website, and contacted Head Office. Head Office replied once asking which property I stayed at, and after confirming Oakville, I received no further response. I also attempted to contact the front desk on four separate occasions at different times of day. Calls were not answered. On the one occasion my call was picked up, I was placed on hold and waited over 30 minutes before hanging up. Subsequent calls again went unanswered. While I understand that lost items are not guaranteed to be recovered, the complete lack of acknowledgment or follow-up is unacceptable. During our stay, the 4th-floor hallway showed significant wear, with visible scratches along the corridor, which further reinforced the impression that both the property and guest concerns are not being adequately attended to. This experience has significantly impacted my confidence in the level of care and customer service at this property.

I am sure if I had reported the pillow concerns they would have been addressed. But I was only here for one night. Otherwise, great hotel this is my fourth stay.

De plus, lorsque nous avons voulu rester un septième jour, nous n'avons pas pu rester dans la même chambre. Nous avions beaucoup de bagages. Nous avons dû faire nos valises et nos bagages à l'enregistrement et les remettre dans la voiture, sans aide, jusqu'à ce qu'il soit temps de changer de chambre, plus petite que la précédente, et ce, à cinq heures d'intervalle. C'était assez agaçant.

Ward (6/5): Was fine - no issues - just a little judgement at check in would have been nice - Room was configured nicely, bedroom created a needed quiet space which I will explain in a moment - bed was quite nice - pillows were very cheap and lumpy foam - bedroom television channels were very hard to navigate - couldn't find something basic like the hockey game I thought the person who checked us in should have used some discretion/judgement - there was a kids hockey tournament booked and we were placed right in the middle of the area were kids ran the halls and parents were partying and such.....doors open walking freely between rooms. Look I get that, I was a hockey parent and as near as I could tell they quieted down at a reasonable time and same for kids but I was travelling with a dog, and I would have thought someone would have considered its not good to put a lone family in the middle of a hockey tournament group plus with a dog there is an added risk of the dog getting worked up/agitated with the kids. I just thought maybe someone could have connected the dots on the risks associated with mixing us right into the middle of the hockey tournament group.

My son and I had a Redeye and we showed up at 9am and they gave us an early check in on the spot, without any hassle. The ELEVATOR! and carpets. carpets are set to be replaced but I recommend using the stairs as much as possible due to the slowness of the elevators!

The bathroom was clean and the shower easy to turn on and off. Being on the side not facing the highway traffic was helpful. I enjoyed the reception wall and elevators with the book shelf wallpaper. To many light switches. The local area was under construction and the roads confusing.

Jennette (8/5): - Good price and good location. Staff was very friendly. I stayed in a room overlooking the highway and the traffic noise was very noticeable. Wiifii was very slow.

Perry (7/5): comfortable 1 night stay - soft lined!!!! room was clean, shared areas clean. despite being right beside the front desk, the room was nice and quiet when my son arrived, my reservation could not be found, despite already been paid in advance and a confirmation number, confirmation email, messages between myself and staff.
