Billy (7/5): - Close to the beach and boardwalk Crowded room, the door hit the bed trying to get into the room. No room to eat,no coffee maker, no ice machine. The room stayed cold no way to adjust the temperature.

We were promised a refund due to this rather troublesome situation. Hope we get refunded.

Laura (8/5): Bed was really comfy and I would still book it but only for 1 night if all rooms are like the one I had. - It’s at a really nice location. 10min from the beach and the night life area. I loved the chairs outside that were available for everyone. When other guest walked outside or room or above us our light kept flickering and almost turning off. (Everytime). When we got to the room we also realized the “balcony” door was unlocked. Anyone could have been in the room prior to us. Kinda weird feeling having to check the room for others. I wish the entrance door to our room would have had enough space to open up fully. It was really hard to get our bags inside due to walking straight into the bed. I had to close the door to move out of the way for my husband even being able to come back.

JANET (1/5): Denied a Room Until 7pm Due to Caolina Beach Inns Fault. - When we made reservations, in a dire situation, it asked for an arrival time and I put 3-4. We got an email response on your site saying denied which is why I called booking.com. Your service rep tried to contact them several times as we did and no answer. They do not have an office on site and check in is through email. They never updated their email to us with a room number or code until 7pm with an apology, but our decisions had to be made before 7. They refused a refund and I am beyond angry. I WILL make sure I put a review everywhere and on tiktok bad travel experiences and mention where I booked from. The $135 will be a pittance compared to the few people who don't book places with bad reviews.

Daniel (2/5): - First, the good: cute place and near the beach. The unit itself is great for what it is. It’s just an old building. So if you are ok w loud noises, this place is great just be sure you get an upstairs unit. The bad: we were on the first floor and the people above us both nights were stomping and super loud and we slept terribly both nights. I feel bad writing this cause it’s not the properties fault but we did submit a complaint, and the people above us were still super loud. You can hear every step and they were stomping till 2 AM. It was pretty annoying.
Catherine (9/5): Super cute inn for a last minute trip. We look forward to coming back for a long weekend stay. - Proximity to the heart of Carolina Beach. No dedicated parking, but the availability of Public parking was abundant.
Karen (4/5): Poor - The location was good, as far as walkability to local restaurants and the beach boardwalk. The queen room/bathroom were very small. The bathroom shower stall very old/small. The bed squeeked and you could hear everything through the walls, as when people went to their room around 2 AM. There was sand on the floor. It wasn’t advertised as a boutique with no staff on the premises. Most importantly, there was nothing on the website nor were we informed during the booking process of the additional fee for our small dog until after booking the unrefundable room. It was a lot of money for a short overnight stay for basically a bed and shower.

Barbara (8/5): Carolina Beach Inn - My only concern is the lack of comfortable mattress. For me, it was like sleeping on concrete. I woke up every couple of hours in pain. The room was the perfect size for a short stay for two people and was very clean and quiet.
Laurie (2/5): - Overall, I have to give the Carolina Beach Inn a Terrible rating. With the exception of the Pet Area, which was actually quite attractive and convenint, my wife and I were extremely disappointed. 1) The Coffee Bar had a Keurig, creamers and Sweeteners... unfortunately, No Cups. (Minor inconvenience) 2) With no time to have maintenence fix the broken Hairdryer and make our dinner reservations in time, my wife was forced to dine with wet hair. (Again... minor inconvenience) The Carolina Beach Chop House -- EXCELLENT, btw). The reason, however, for my "Terrible Review" is two-fold. First, the toilet didnt flush. I learned that late that night adter midnight. My wife... moments later. We had to search for a place to relieve herself. (Major Inconvenience!) Later, shortly after we woke up, we decided to cut our stay short, and we left for home. I called CBI to let them know that we left a day early, and why. Hoping for a Refund for the 2nd day, CBI refused, saying that we should've called to have a maintenance worker fix the problem. I explained that there was no time for a Hair Dryer repair. As far as the Coffee Cups, McDs was nearby. HOWEVER, the Toilet that Wouldn't Flush at about 1:00 a.m. was HUGE! Soil her pants while waiting for maintenance to arrive WAS NOT AN OPTION. Had Carolina Beach Inn management done the right thing, I suppose I'd have given my stay an Average rating. Unfortunately, they did not.

Cassandra (8/5): - I like the property but if you’re someone who needs quiet to sleep you may have some trouble. I loved the convenience and it’s very quaint and thoughtful. The water pressure is incredible to get sand and shells off. I love an ice cold window unit just be aware it’s at the top of your head so you want to keep a decorative pillow on the bed to block a bit of air on your head. It feels great. Cute vintage microwave and fridge/freezer. The bed is a 6/10 and needs a new mattress but for what I paid it’s no big deal. Entry with a code is so easy. Everywhere should do this. They also have a cute Keurig setup and cold water dispenser. It’s a quick two blocks walking to the beach and boardwalk and the free parking can’t be beat. Go to Celtic for ice cream and Crush and Grind for coffee and the speakeasy vibe upstairs for a craft cocktail.
Shealy (9/5): Superb - I liked that the Inn was clean and quaint with hardwood floors and no carpet. I also liked that the location was walking distance from the beach, restaurants and shops. Rooms are quite small but doable.

345stephl (8/5): Dog friendly comfortable inn - What a nice little dog friendly inn. We stayed in a suite located on the first floor that was very quiet and comfortable. The bed was amazing. The inn is located two blocks from beach access, close to restaurants and activities. In a residential area which made for nice walks with our dog. The porch is a great place to hang out, plus the first floor rooms also have back decks overlooking the nice back green space. All in all will be staying here again.

Climber30750841809 (2/5): Unsafe, Unclean, and Unstaffed – Disappointing Return Visit - This hotel has gone drastically downhill since my last visit five years ago. What used to be a great stay is now completely unsafe and unsettling. We could hear people fighting through the walls, which was scary and made it hard to relax. The main entrance was left unlocked all night, and there were no staff members or security present—just an overall feeling of being unsafe. To make matters worse, we just saw on the news that there was a shooting at this hotel, which sadly doesn’t surprise me. Our group had multiple rooms and all showed signs of pets—hair under beds, strong chemical smells clearly trying to cover up pet odors, and a general lack of cleanliness. There was no front desk, no amenities, and no one onsite. It’s under new ownership now, and unfortunately, it shows. I would proceed with caution, but personally, I will not be staying here again.

Jawai (8/5): - Our stay was just okay. The rooms need a deep cleaning. The bedding sheets were old so I wasn’t comfortable sleeping at all. And I wasn’t happy with the 10pm noise curfew. We paid too much money not to be able talk past 10pm. I wouldn’t stay here again.
