I asked for a refund because I ended up sleeping in my car so roaches wouldn't get in my stuff...they refused. And they wouldn't refund the two days I DIDN'T even stay there.

Guest wore wooden heels, scraping furniture, up all throughout the night, every hour for 10 to 20 minutes. Horrible sleep for me. Need some kind of sound absorption, that was insane. Front desk person very nice.

• Chris (4/5): - We were so excited to stay at pirates Cove, so we could eat, drink and hang out at our favorite Carolina beach spot the lazy pirate. The staff was very welcoming, decorations and exterior gave nice beach, pirate vibes. We got up to our room, and opened the door. It looked cozy, well decorated. This is where the compliment sandwich ends though. The carpet was very damp near the door, which made us wonder about mildew and mold. The Hot water in both the shower and sink would come and go or just stop all together. The shower curtain rod was about to fall off the wall, and the towel holder literally did fall off the wall. 3 different times. The bed, while mostly comfortable, had a broken spring begging to rip through the fabric on the edge of the bed. Also only one wash cloth provided with 2 towels? Also some room darkening curtains would help with the parking lot and exterior room lights pertruding through the blinds. WiFi did not work, and no hair dryer. In conclusion, this place can be AMAZING, with a little TLC, maybe update the outlets and covers, fix the plumbing issues, sprinkler heads, door seals to fix humidity issues, and generally just some internal love. Externally the place has been updated and looks really inviting. No issues with bugs, staff or parking lot security.

There was a large group present that created some issues and they had to shut down the pool. But had that not been the case it was perfect especially for the price. Management apologized profusely. On a busy road with lots of activity but room was very quiet with door shut. I would stay again

Also it can get noisy at night. Room was great and we enjoyed the pool area. Couldn’t find a hair dryer but no big deal, just bring one with ya, more towels put in the rooms would be great. Walkable to plenty of restaurants and other things.

• Snoobydi (5/5): Do not recommend. - Bed was comfortable. Room was presentable. AC was cold. It tried to be a nice room but fell short. Was pretty clean but not perfect. Pretty room. Like I said they tried but failed. Mold in shower area. Shower head was dirty. Not the cleanest tub. Bathroom is small. The door has a slight gap. THE WORST is you share a parking lot with the bar nextdoor and you can't find parking at night. It's bad. Pool was falling apart and had a ton of chlorine. Front door, the part under the door.. it's rotted out and about to fall apart. Oh and the bed is a metal frame which was fine but they put a metal skirt around it that you kept hitting with your feet and it sounded like a gong. Lol
