• Kelvin (10/5): - Loved my stay here! The room was clean and modern-looking, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I had a great view of Taipei 101 from my room. It’s about a 6–8 minute walk to the nearest station. I’d definitely stay here again on my next trip to Taiwan!

Only small thing was that the walls are a bit thin that we could hear the guests next room talking at night. Besides that, very highly recommend.

• Yvonne (10/5): - The property is convenient to the subway, parks and restaurants. The room had 2 beds and was spacious. We appreciated the daily sodas and water that were replenished in the room. The morning Chinese breakfast was adequate - good variety but the food was a bit cold. Service from staff was excellent - we had packages delivered, they assisted with making change for the laundry and loaned umbrellas to us. A good value for a very convenient location!

• Midori (10/5): - 駅からは少しあるが、最寄りの忠孝新生駅の6番出口の近くにはセブンイレブンとファミリーマートもあり便利。 大安森林公園駅も使え、そちらの駅近くには鼎泰豊やお店もたくさんある。 二駅使えるので便利でした。 九份へは、隣の忠孝復興駅から1062番のバスで一本で行けました。始発なので座れます。 ホテルのスタッフさんは親切でにこやかでした。 ファミリールームに宿泊しましたが、広々としていて快適でした。 無料のミネラルウォーターのボトルがあり、嬉しかったです。 4泊しましたが、朝ごはんは毎日少しずつ変化があり楽しかったです。

The location is very good, although not next to the metro it’s a few minutes walk to one of 2 stations that gives access to the red, blue, and orange lines. Excellent work Sonnien!

• Chihiro (10/5): - The hotel was right next to the police station, and we felt very safe around the hotel. The room was clean and they had decent breakfasts. The people at the front office were nice, and some of them spoke both Japanese and English. We will book here again.

• Philip (8/5): Leisure stay for a couple in central Taipei. - Overall, we had an enjoyable stay at Sonnien. Well located near the MRT and the beautiful Da-an park. Good room with space to open suitcases. Bathroom had good shelf space but I found the toilet roll holder in a very difficult place to reach, too low down. Restaurant only for breakfast. This choice available was primarily to Asian tastes. For western tastes, the cereal was limited to muesli and cornflakes. Scrambled egg available daily but sausages and other items only on certain days. Bread, rolls and croissants also variable. Staff provided good service. Pretty good value for money. We are happy to recommend Sonnien.

The housekeeping staff kindly provided ozone deodorization and fragrance services, but they were ineffective. The hot water was not hot enough, which is especially unacceptable considering it was a Friday and the hotel was not fully booked.
• megu (2/5): - 5人家族で2部屋予約。14:30にチェックイン完了し、15時に部屋に案内するとの事だったので疲れている子供達とフロント前の椅子で待機。15:00〜17:30まで、何度も部屋に入れるか確認したが、部屋の掃除が終わってないという理由でフロント前に3時間いました。何度も聞いた「何時になれば入れる？」との問いには「ちょっと待って。掃除中」の返事のみ。時間を言わないから待ちますよね。。フロント前で待機中だったのは私達親子だけだったんだから、一部屋だけでも先に掃除を終わらせて部屋に入れてくれてもよかったんじゃないでしょうか。結局、17:30になって聞いてもまだとの返事で、仕方なく夕飯に出かけました。朝早くから移動してきた子供達はぐったりで休ませてあげたかった。。15時〜17:30までの無駄な時間でした。フロントスタッフは謝罪もありませんでした。こんな事は当たり前なんでしょうか。 また、朝食は10:00ちょうどになると何のアナウンスもなくスタッフ達が食材からトングを抜き、一斉に片付け始めます。何人かの遅くきたゲストはトングを取られて食材がお皿に入れられず苦笑いされてました。フロントもそうでしたが臨機応変がない。10:00には食事中でも机の上のものをガンガン下げられました。全体的に優しさや思いやりがないのが残念でした。もう行きません。

• Verified traveler (4/5): 沒有契約精神的酒店，不會再入住 - 下午3點不能準時安排好房間入住，讓客人等在旁邊，沒有任何解決方案，只會反復一句“房間還沒好”，體驗很差，最後是要求經理來解決，才換了一間已經整理好的房間給我們。

• Alvin (8/5): - We stayed 8 nights. Overall a good hotel. Staff very friendly and responsive. Only improvement we suggest is for housekeeping to vacuum the floor every day. Walking distance to three MRT stations and close to 永康街 shopping area. Also close to the Taipei Main Station, only two stops away. Breakfast has healthy options.
• Allison (10/5): Loved this hotel! - We had a wonderful stay at The Sonnien Hotel! The room was large enough for the 4 of us with a bath and separate shower. There were complimentary waters restocked daily and a copious breakfast buffet included as well. The location was great and the staff was excellent!
• Ulysses (8/5): - I had a pleasant stay at Sonnien Hotel overall. The location is convenient, and the reception area is well-appointed, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. My room was clean and well-maintained, though the bed was quite firm, which was a bit uncomfortable for my back—this might simply come down to personal preference. One aspect that could be improved is housekeeping consistency. On the first day, Amy did an outstanding job cleaning my room, but the following day, a different housekeeper provided less thorough service, and the toilet was left uncleaned. Despite these minor concerns, I enjoyed my stay and would consider returning in the future.

I will say the walls are kinda thin so you might hear a loud neighbor but otherwise pretty quiet. Close to an MRT entry but still a bit of a walk to the platform.

Front desk staff gave us clean towels and took away garbage and he was only person on duty at the time (9pm). But price of hotel is reasonable

• Amie (8/5): A home close to home - Visiting family in Taipei and needed a hotel last-minute for me within walking distance from the hotel. This place was one block away and right next to a police station so I feel extremely safe by myself. The clerks were polite and friendly and everything in the hotel is clean and functional. The place doesn't have a whole lot of character but if you need a clean, quiet and comfortable place to stay this is just perfect.

• Maybelline (10/5): Clean and convenient! - I stayed twice in this hotel and was surprised to be given a smaller room this time. My first stay was booked directly with the hotel which could have been the reason. Nevertheless, the room was comfortable with the necessary amenities.
