• Wilson (2/5): I won’t be returning the room looks rundown and there was a roach in my room. - The room looked terrible and to top it off there was a roach on the wall. If I could’ve gotten a refund I would not have stayed the night. I literally went to Walmart to buy supplies to clean the room before I could sleep there.
• Thornton (1/5): - They made you pay a 50 CASH ONLY security fee but yet as I walked to my room there were underwear in the parking lot, my room had roaches, there was hair in the bed and the bed had cigarette burns. Guests should get paid a security fee for staying there.

• Iyanna (1/5): Terrible - Nothing. ⭐️ 1-Star Review I had a very uncomfortable experience at this hotel and would strongly caution others before booking here. When I arrived to check in, the property was extremely filthy. The lobby and surrounding areas looked poorly maintained and not clean at all, which was already a major red flag. Things became even more concerning during check-in. The staff told me there was a cash-only deposit that was supposedly non-refundable, which I have never experienced at any legitimate hotel. That immediately made the situation feel suspicious and unprofessional. While handling my payment and ID, it appeared that they were trying to capture or write down my debit card information, which made me feel very uneasy. Because of this, I told them I no longer felt comfortable staying there and decided to leave and book somewhere else. After I said I wanted to leave, the staff became rude and difficult and initially refused to return my ID and debit card, which made the situation even more alarming. No guest should ever feel like their personal belongings or financial information are being held hostage just because they decide not to stay. Between the dirty conditions, the questionable cash deposit policy, and the way my personal information was handled, I did not feel safe completing my stay here. I left immediately and would not recommend this property to anyone. Guests should feel secure and respected when checking into a hotel, and unfortunately that was not my experience here.

They tried to get me to cancel a few times before coming and tried telling me they close at 1 am and he was leaving at 1 when I needed to check in. Bugs everywhere. Trash overflowing. I booked through booking.com and had already paid via creditcard. There was no mention of a $100 cash security deposit in the listing. Because cancelation was impossible, I was forced to allow the shady looking attendant to photocopy one of my credit cards. I froze the card just after leaving the desk and have cancelled the card and ordered a new one. Royal P I A. The room had cockroaches. There were lots of cockroaches. I will never consider staying at this property again.

It was white at one time. Part of the ceiling was pulling down in the corner of the tub. Smoke detector was missing. The front door was so warped you see outside on the bottom half.

• Ckwal van Rijn (9/5): Hidden treasure in Savannah. - I was surprised by this place. It reminded me of accommodations I might have stayed in Chang Mai or other parts of Asia. Check-in was quick yet welcoming and checkout was friendly and reassuring. I don't think I would look elsewhere for Savannah unless you want to be really close to downtown and spend a fortune. Mattress was too small for the frame, so I kept hitting my leg on the corner of it. I finally figured out I should just move the mattress to the edge of the front, but that was not long before I had to check out.

• Yosef (2/5): Stay away if you can afford a hotel in the same area that costs only $10-20 more a night. - There was always hot water in the shower, and good water pressure. The location is on a little side street along the central busy road with all the chain hotels, and the shopping plaza is not too far away. There's a city bus stop in about 7-8 minutes walk, if you need it. And that's just about where it ends. Gosh, where do I even begin... The place is just a roach infested dump. It's yucky. Disgusting. Unkempt. Smelly. Starting with the location, no clue why it's called Garden Hotel. There's no garden on site, or anywhere in sight. It's just a dumpy site off of the main drag, Abercorn St. Very rundown looking, next to a car repair or tire shop. Gives a really unpleasant vibe. No lobby in the hotel - just a small reception room. They do ask for $50 cash security deposit, even though booking.com already charged you the security deposit. They just note it in some little notebook at the desk. The room is infested - literally infested - with roaches. Multiple kinds. They are everywhere - on the floor, on the desk, inside the dresser drawers, in your bed, in the bathroom, even in the tub. There's so many of them, you just want to throw up from this. The mini fridge is a total crap. The knob to control the temperature was broken, and there was no way to adjust it. It froze all the food I put in there, and was fairly noisy all the time. The Wi-Fi was pretty crappy. The connection is not nearly good enough for video calls, and the audio was very choppy. The connection kept failing and resetting every so often, reconnecting every time was fairly cumbersome. Half of the large dresser was taken by the safe box. But it was locked. Asked the front desk guy to open it, he called someone to ask about it, and said that none of the safe boxes in the hotel work. So leave your important things there at your own risk. No hot water, tea, or coffee anywhere in the hotel. The room was non-smoking, but had a very strong persistent smell. You need to run the AC nonstop in order not to smell it. Speaking of the AC, those units are ancient. They are very noisy, blow very strong even on the lowest setting, and it's directed right at your bed. In order to be able to sleep or even lay down, you have to direct it up, and then it blows into the curtain.

• G4923USmelissas (2/5): I will NEVER put my health at risk again like I did by booking here , being bitten by roaches, and losing 420+$ - Checked in the room for 7 days, microwave had food in the room was disgusting, roaches everywhere, ended up sleeping in truck for next 7 days without a refund of over 400 , all this happened while office was open and he pointed to the sign that said no refunds or room changes once checked in, and said "I don't know what to tell you it's non refundable" I have colon cancer and was spending my last week on vacation before treatment started, I'm now going through antibiotics and several meds from being bitten and getting an infection, just being in this room for less than 2 hours . DO NOT COME HERE FOR TOUR SAFETY!
