- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice Stay - Pros:
Staff was very accommodating and friendly. Room was rustic and cozy. Food at the restaurant was very good.
Cons:
A roll of paper towels was needed in the kitchen. Bed was too small (full size) and too soft.
- Angel (10/5): - Quiet
- MYRTA (6/5): - Must change beds they are like 100 years old. Blankets are super old. Room was clean

- Anne (10/5): - Nice location. Nice people and food was great.
- Gilberto (8/5): They have a lot of room for improvement. - The place is beautiful and cozy. We stayed in one of the cabins, and the experience was unpleasant. The room needs more lighting; the walls are very thin, so you hear everything your neighbors say. In our case, we could only sleep late at night. In addition, inside the room, we had a pitched battle with mosquitoes. The best experience was at the restaurant; however, it was a little slow, the food was delicious, and the service of the waiters was excellent. The servers are the outstanding feature of this place.
- Ismael (4/5): Unplessant Stay - Not very clean, the inside pool Is very unsafe fue to the wood around the pool Is falling apart, very noisy at night, can't sleep, no management to complaint.
I Will not recomend anyone to stay.
- Raquel (10/5): - This property is perfect for a romantic getaway. We stayed 3 nights in one of the cottages which is located away from the main building so it is somewhat isolated. It is perfect if you want a peaceful weekend. The only issue is the lack of staff. After 7pm you are on your own. And even though they provide you with a number to call, they do not answer nor can you leave a message. This became an issue at one point. Other then that it is a perfect oasis.
- Miguel (10/5): - Was very good
- Marisol (10/5): Hacienda el jibarito - The place is quiet, they have a restaurant where they cook very good food and the staff is very friendly. Very good for rest and relaxation.
- Carmelo (8/5): - Un lugar perfecto para relajarse.
- Randolph (10/5): - It is such a cozy place. The best sleep in years and I have an bed that cost $11,000 at home. That was a great night. I usually don't do surveys but I had to share on this one.
- Sarah (10/5): - This property was absolutely beautiful. The rooms and public areas were so nice and relaxing. The view from the restaurant is amazingly.
- Brenda (6/5): - it looks so worn down, the rooms are in really bad conditions and they have no staff, but must say the staff they have is amazing....
- George (10/5): - Loved the room
- Barbara (8/5): - It is a beautiful place to visit
- Brendaly (10/5): - Easy check in. Beautiful property.
- Ileana (10/5): - El lugar perfecto para una escapada romántica
- Sheyla (6/5): - Las cabañas bonitas
- Sergio (6/5): - A very quiet and beautiful place in a date time
the only thing I didn't like was I paid for a room with a balcony and the one I got was in a lagoon and the mosquitos were to many we had to go a pharmacy to get repellent ( I asked for a repellent but the one they brought me could not be used on the skin ) also too noisy at night birds from the lagoon hitting all the time the doors and around
it was not a night to rest
- Efren (10/5): - All is fine.
- NATHAN (10/5): - Rustic. Simple. Remote. Wildlife. Isolated. If that is what you expected, you will be pleased. It meets these expectations. My wife LOVED it as a romantic getaway. RECOMMENDATION, do not try to drive arriving or return from being out, after dark.
- Miguel (10/5): - WiFi didn't work, but I didn't care. Place was clean and beautiful.
- Bianca N (10/5): - The place was extremely clean, access was seams less from beginning to end, the peace and tranquility maintained through all guest to help the ecosystem, and the fact that there was no better view to wake up to, or bathe to. Excellent stay, they even left a bunch of things from local producers which was the cutest touch ever.
- EDWIN (6/5): - Too expensive. For. What. it is it is at present. No more than. 100-120
- jasmin (10/5): - The villa is spacious, comfortable. The staff was very accommodating.
- Jesus (4/5): Dissapointing - Expected more. There's no restaurant at premises so you need to go out or bring groceries and cook. It is a beautiful forest with birds and zinc ceiling to enjoy rain. And that's it. Our cabin had such an inclination that it was difficult to maintain balance, especially in the dark. I almost fell twice. There was such a gap below and above external doors that I could not stop thinking any critter from the forest could come in. Consider centipedes, scorpions, snakes instead of just roaches and spiders. And the toilet would leak water when used. We left the next day. Dissapointed.
- Cheree (10/5): A must! - Beautiful! Welcoming, exceptional customer service.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - One of the most beautiful places I've ever visited (after 20-25 countries).
The staff was very helpful and assisted us with absolutely everything we asked them for (even received a free repellent after we asked them from where we can buy such).
The place was extremely beautiful not only as a view, but also as maintenance and complex organization, facilities.
Our cottage was super clean, tidy and great looking - big bathtub inside, comfortable bed, very big and good looking bathroom, lake in front of our balcony (with hammock).
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The casita de campo os in excellent condition and very clean. But the amenities are all close . You are not allow to Use the pool. Restaurant is close. Ans because the Hacienda is very retire there is no place to buy food unless you drive 15 minutes down the mountains. I was here 7 years ago and the hotel amenities was wonderful the restaurant ant the bar pool was excellent . But not this time . It is a chame i hope it opens again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - A beautiful place to escape and relax. Highly recommended.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Incredible spot, highly recommended, can't wait to come back
- Caleb (8/5): - Amazing cabin with an gorgeous views. Very quit and relaxing.
- Nashalie (8/5): - This place was absolutely magical and much more than what we expected. To make it clear the hotel is close. They did not have breakfast included because of that and they should take it out this cause is no longer included. We did not expect that at all but it was amazing since the guard took us to this amazing cabins that have everything you might need to have a great peaceful time there. Again, we did not expect this since in the pictures you can see is a two bedroom room and we had a cabin with two separate rooms, living room kitchen and even a freaking tub which was AMAZING and even a balcony with a beautiful hamaca and you can see all the nature over there is amazing. Everything was well equipped and we couldn’t be happier with our stay. Will come back.
- Nora (8/5): - Very quite place to relax and enjoy a comfy stay in a traditional culturally view of Puerto Rico.
- ADRigmaiden (6/5): - The property had a nice old hacienda style but no real amenities. No small towels, no ironing board, only one small chair in the room.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - When they gave us the room, the bathroom didn’t have towels and the old trash was still there.
The room they gave us was very noisy. They kept playing very loud music until 11:30pm. Our room was located under the restaurant and they were moving tables and chairs all night until 1am, due to the poor noise isolation it was impossible to sleep. Also, you can hear the conversations and the TV from the adjacent room like if they were inside ours. Terrible experience. We stayed only one night (of four) and then changed to a different hotel
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I liked the view and property. The room was very noisy, we could hear every single conversation outside our door. The staff at the restaurant were slow but in their defense we were a huge group. Lovely room, great bar options, fun space.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Great pool area with an excellent bat and swing set for children.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Very clean and beautiful views. Very impressed with the historical information.
- Fay (10/5): - Beautiful and peaceful place to stay. Room was sparkling clean
I totally recommend this place to stay.
- Gladys (10/5): - The property is clean and well maintained. It was dificult to find without HPS assistance. We were able to relax by the pool with a delicious cocktail. The parrot by the pool was a bonus treat.
- RRM (6/5): - The property is nice, but it needs a lot of maintenance. The common areas are a bit better that the rooms, but they need to take better care of the property. The rooms need a lot of work. Our bath tub was rusted, the ceiling had a patch of different color paint, the dresser doors don’t open and close properly, among other things. This is a beautiful property with lots of potential, but it needs a lot of loving tender care.
- Nashely (10/5): - The property fosters and amazing connection to heritage while connecting with Mother Nature. This place is absolutely spectacular!!!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Great location for a short or weekend retreat. Unique cabins that mirror Puerto Rican country living in the 1800s.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Common Travelocity you never coordinate with the Hotel our reservation. I'm very disapointed with this. I'm a loyal client of travelocity.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It took me.back to my best years in PR. The villages are beautiful and we'll kept. At the beginning my wife was a little surprise of how the set up was and no iron, no stove etc... But I start to explain that is the way we use to live. She saw the rest, pool area and all the old items on display and she end up loving it. Well appreciated. Great staff, great food, great athmosphiar...
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Friendly staff and clean facility.
Very nice atmosphere.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The place is beautiful is like a walk back in time. the dinner buffet was good but for a full breakfast it was a little expensive. $30.00 for 2. Dinner buffet was 29.00 for 2 and we had more options and we could repeat if wanted. But overall we loved it. The trails to the water falls need some up keep, older people could not go down the steep hill or walk in the overgrown grass. But for us it was a nice hike though the waterfalls were dry due to a drought in the area. Maybe they can add some ropes on the sides of the steep hill so people can hold on because of the lime rocks is also very slippery. The pool and bar area were nice. We loved the breeze and peacefulness of the place. We want to visit again in the near future. And if they can fix the trails that would be nice.
- Layer,N (10/5): - It’s a wooden property with balcony on their rooms and hammocks
- Jennifer (8/5): - Bed and pillow where not comfortable
Beautiful place, good service
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The view, the location of this property had a 360° excellent view of the Puerto Rican countryside.
- Miriam (6/5): - No restaurant in the premises only small area like a coffee shop. Very limited menu. The place was clean and comfortable though. I will stay again. Next time I’ll buy snacks. Overall very attempting staff.
- Omar (10/5): - excellent complex to spend a weekend disconnected from daily living surrounded by nature
- Luis (4/5): - One of the two king beds were invaded by ants around 1:00 am.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Pool and bar pool excelent. Room very clean. Staff atendance excelent. Food could be better.
- BERNICE (4/5): seat at the pool and pool are in bad condition - coffee was great need better service for breakfast and dinner restaurant.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Stay was excellent. Wish they had a better selection of typical food, bigger t.v., and better channels on the direct tv.
- Nilsa (10/5): Great stay - Great experience...all very friendly...will definitely go back.
- Joel (8/5): - Is a great place for relaxation. The forest and the hotel's theme are amazing. The food is exquisite. No wifi in the rooms. Need more personnel. Not many activity during week days.
- Loyda (10/5): - It was amazing. Great place, beautiful and comfortable. My only concern is that the restaurant doesn't have a variety menu, only bufet and it was not great.
- F. (4/5): It does not meet expectations. - Front desk: The lack of staff is self evident. There is only one person in the front desk, who also has other duties. You are lucky if someone picks ups the phone. On the day of my check-in, I tried to call for about 6 hours with no success. The idea was to make sure the route I was taking to get to the hotel was ok. I even left a message and no one returned my call. You can imagine how I felt when one of the main roads to access the hotel from the north of Puerto Rico was closed. It was 8:00 pm, totally dark, no one on the road to ask questions and no response from the hotel. Had they answered the phone at 2:00 pm when I initially called, all that could have been avoided. When the lady on the front desk answered the phone by 8:20 pm, she was not able to give any directions. Cleanliness: The toilet was smelly. Room: There are serious problems with room illumination. The room was dark, one bulb was missing. The ceiling fan in the kitchenette was nonfunctioning. No wifi. Very limited cable channel lineup, of about 12 channels, no movie channels. The mattresses were in bad conditions. Cafeteria: The pastries were not fresh despite the assurances of the employee. Pool: No towels available, at least on a Sunday at 11:00am. The main problem with the hotel or tropical inn or parador, is that it prices itselve on par or close to, with big name hotels like El Conquistador, in Fajardo. That creates big expectations that are shattered by the service and facilities.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel seclude from the city - Very good experience if looking for a quiet and countryside getaway
- Nilda (4/5): Not a good choice - Was not what we expected. The bed is very uncomfortable. There were no place to eat on week days just a cafeteria and you have to eat what they made for the day. Service was not good. I will never go back.
