Demi (5/5): It was fine, the staff was nice, but don’t recommend with kids. - The staff was extremely friendly and very accommodating. The inn was in a great spot, right off highway 1 and very close to the beach. The first room we were given smelled so bad of mold/mildew my husband instantly said “Nope” and requested a different room. Thankfully they were able to do so, but the second room wasn’t much better. The smell was better but there were what appeared to be mold spores in the curtains and the tiny wall A/C vent. The bathroom had no vent fan for steam and you can tell the walls were suffering some type of humidity damage. I wouldn’t have been surprised to learn that the walls have mold growing inside. Not having carpet was a good thing but the mattresses and linens were still affected by the smell and humidity.

The room smelled like a humid garden - all the time. The people vaping outside our room made it smell like weed, not sure if that was an improvement.

Sarah (9/5): - I booked this hotel because of the proximity to our favorite beach, Sunset, and it did not disappoint! Across the parking lot from the beach! And my kids and I made the most of that. The breakfast situation was a little awkward. Having to place an order and then carry it back up to your room- a grab and go continental would be way easier on staff and guest.

Keani (5/5): Only thing is the breakfast, they make & you may not help yourself, No WiFi®ular service in room - Rooms are so amazing. And they have beach towels and sand toys available. Like tons for everyone to share. The free included breakfast wasn’t one that you could get yourself. Going back for seconds, not an option. So me and my son shared cause he finished all of his foods. The Wi-Fi, nonexistent, not only could I literally not at all do my work, I couldn’t connect my laptop, m my son had nothing to watch for himself on his iPad. Which made it a harder night for us which wasn’t relaxing or able to enjoy the hotel. Was a really big downfall. Because not only could u not connect to WiFi, but no matter what I did I could get on my phone to do anything at all.

Savannah (9/5): A wonderful stay, clean, right on the beach, friendly staff, perfect location to everything you need. - We were immediately in love with Ocean Surf Inn & Suites! Lots of free parking and right across the beach( No walking across busy streets!) The room was clean and comfortable. The staff is wonderful and the extra accommodations in the lobby like beach toys, coolers, books and board games made our stay feel extra special and right at home. The rooftop area was nice with a beautiful little lookout. The location was perfect with everything you need in walking distance and many delicious restaurants so close! Golden road was our favorite and only a 5-10 minute walk. Ocean Surf Inn & Suites is perfect spot for couples looking for a little getaway. We will definitely be back! The walls and doors could use a good wiping. The doors close quite heavy and can be heard at night.

Balcony facing the water was great too my son loved that. And the rooftop option. Very cool. Had a great time I’d love to be able to stay longer next time.

The construction they did on site without telling you before you book. The sand in the bed blankets from prior patrons. The room was dirty. The bathroom was run down. A lot of cigarette smoke came into our room for some patrons smoking in the hallway every night.

Darina (9/5): We all enjoyed our stay at this hidden gem in Sunset Beach. - Location was excellent , just walking distance to the beautiful beach. Sunset beach is a small charming community. The manager Shaun was welcoming , informative and helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The coffee was excellent and available 24 hrs a day as was iced water and tea. Breakfast was limited and access to a toaster would have been appreciated.

Martina (9/5): Direkt am Meer gelegenes Hotel mit Dachterrasse zum Frühstücken Parkplatz - Shawn hat uns sehr herzlich Empfang und uns alles erklärt. Auch haben wir etwas erfahren über die Pflege seiner Orchideen, die im Eingangsbereich stehen. Alles sauber alles gut. es gab sehr guten Kaffee, der für die Gäste bereitstehen zu jeder Zeit. Parkplatz inklusive Vielleicht der Feuchtigkeit geschuldet, die es am Meer nun mal einmal gibt. Hoch ist im ersten Moment etwas muffig im Zimmer. Aber es ist alles sehr sauber gewesen und auch sehr ruhig.

Elesie (8/5): This hotel is good to relax. Cute town and walkable amenities. - The location was great as well as the manager/Inn Keeper, he was very friendly. We Like the rooftop and access to beach. I woke up with a kink on my neck because the pillow was a bit too high and hard. The walls were thin. Our neighbor complained about our kids, which normally wouldn’t be the case but the walls were pretty thin. I could hear our neighbors as well.

Definitely worth paying extra for the ocean view, otherwise I wouldn’t give it 4 stars. Very simple hotel, good budget option and great location right across from the beach. You can use their beach chairs and board games, and enjoy the solarium - we didn’t due to weather conditions. No dining room, you need to take your breakfast tray to your room

Um nach Huntington Beach zu kommen, braucht man aber ein Auto. Das Zimmer war sehr dunkel und ungemütlich. Vor dem Fenster war ein Schacht, so dass kaum Tageslicht hereinkam. Das Frühstück war sehr überschaubar.

The staff was super friendly, I loved getting my breakfast (including pancakes made to order by the manager) on a tray to take back to my room. Such a short walk to the beach, I literally did it barefoot! Parking area felt secure and so did the facility.
