Guest Reviews
- Gemma (8/5): - The room was a bit run down and the beds kept slipping off the frame. Staff were incredibly kind and helpful. Ok location - everything was within a 15 minute walk
- Praise (8/5): Would recommend and stay again - Lovely staff, clean room. Great service. The bathroom could do with a slight upgrade, but definitely a comfortable stay and a place I would recommend for others.
- Ruby (8/5): - Nice staff, quick check-in, clean room for one night stay
- Karina (2/5): - I actually did not stay in the hotel and will be seeking a refund from Expedia. It was not advertised as “shared bathroom” place. I felt like a homeless person in a shelter. Absolutely horrid experience.
- Claudio (8/5): Close to centre - The stay was ok … 10 minutes walk from centre. Rooms were basic but clean and ok.
Most staff were very friendly and helpful with the exception of the lady on reception Saturday and Sunday, everything seemed too much trouble for her.
- Simon (8/5): - A good hotel with all you need for a short stay. Particularly useful for our trip to see the Tour de France as it went past the front door. However it is a little out of the way if you want to be in the very centre although right next door to the Zenith centre.
- Elinor (10/5): - Decent hotel in a not especially nice location.
The hotel does a good breakfast. Big room with excellent aircon, nice bathroom and good WiFi. Double bed was two singles pushed together, very comfy but it had separate mattress toppers which tended to move apart leaving a gap down the middle. Staff are helpful and everything is very keen.
Location has good and bad points, its a couple of minutes walk to the nearest metro, 10 minutes walk to Lille Flandres station and 15 to the city centre. But the area around the hotel is all offices some of which are disused and is unattractive although it feels safe.
Overall the hotel is good value and I would stay here again but the location isn't great from a leisure travel point of view
- Simon-Pierre (8/5): - Bon hôtel, excellent déjeuner, chambre grande. Merci
- David (8/5): - Good location, no frills, does what it says on the tin
- Quentin (8/5): Convenient, OK and Clean - It's a clean but basic hotel and the room we got was spacious enough for me and my son. The previous year for Series Mania, I stayed in Hôtel Barrière Lille which is a more upscale experience but I find Ibis Lille Centre Grand Palais more convenient. As a whole my son and I had a good stay but wished there could be more amenities like a fridge or a kettle.
- sophie (8/5): - Great location and price but the single bed was very narrow. Lucky I’m slim as I’d have fallen out otherwise
- Dave (10/5): - Convenient hotel for Zenith and Lille Europe Station, lovely staff, clean and comfortable rooms, recommended.
- Eve (10/5): - Ideal spot for a couple of days in Lille (grandparents and a teenager) Room nice, spacious, good third bed. Decent shower etc. Hotel staff helpful and friendly, luggage storage etc. Nice bar, very good breakfast buffet. All round a good stay, easy to walk to the older parts of the city to explore, easy to get to restaurants.
- christopher (10/5): Smart and colourful hotel in a great location. - Great funky and colourful hotel! I’ve stayed here before. Thanks IBIS for giving me an awesome room with balcony this time. I loved it. Great customer service.
- julie (8/5): - Friendly and helpful team. Good facilities. Clean and comfy beds and pillows!
- Lynda (8/5): - There was a mix up with our booking. The staff resolved it and were so helpful. Rooms were great. Hotel pleasant, clean and comfortable.
- Kathryn (10/5): - Very good hotel.ideally placed great breakfast
- claire (10/5): Excellent - recommended - Excellent stay, staff brilliant, breakfast great, room spotless
- Verified traveler (10/5): Would stay here again - The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, good size TV. Bathroom was clean.
Breakfast was great, a variety of goodies to choose from.
Staff were friendly and so were the guests.
- Alison (10/5): Great stay - The hotel is perfectly located for both the city centre and the Eurostar station, with colourful quirky decor. The staff wree friendly and helpful and our triple room was clean, comfrtsble and spacious. Good selection of items at the breakfast buffet too and would definitely stay again
- Vanessa (10/5): Good location - Comfortable hotel. Located in a centric zone. Great staff. Room was quite small but that is normal in France.
- Sylvia (10/5): - Nice.
- Neill (8/5): - Nice handy place to stay near the railway station. A few beggars and homeless people in the area made it a bit disconcerting but no real issues.
- Isabela (10/5): - Cozy room, very conviniente
- christopher (10/5): Good accommodation not far from Lille Flandres - Funky decor in the public areas. Fun!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Friendly staff, everything you could want for low price.
- juliana (6/5): - Nice people working there. I felt welcomed.
- Juanita (10/5): - It was a nice large room. Staff is friendly and helpful. Near two main train stations. Walk to them between 8-10 mins. I had a good stay there. Definitely will use them again.
- Heather (10/5): - A good base to explore
- Alexander (8/5): - Great staff and great choice for breakfast but limited dining in the evening, would benefit from freshly cooked menu but great location for bus and railway stations
- Karen (6/5): - Very convenient, but basic hotel. It’s just a 10 walk from the Grand Place. To be fair this is why I chose the hotel and I know the Ibis brand.
The bedding could use improvement - pillows were very soft and the mattress topper was thin and kept moving off the bed. It just lacks a little bit of comfort.
- Vanessa (8/5): - Good value for money. Basic hotel, clean, helpful staff & a good selection at breakfast.
- Keryn (10/5): - Enjoyed our stay, especially the breakfast
- John (8/5): - Very Friendly front desk staff and nice breakfast.
- David (8/5): Good Value - Good value for money - easy walk to city centre
- Colin (10/5): - A great location to stay, traveling via the eurostar, 10 min walk to the hotel and if using Zenith arena, its a 2 min walk. Can walk into the main areas, within 10 mins, with lots of places to eat and shop. A great location, just far enoigh away to be quiet too.
- Janet (10/5): - Lovely helpful staff. Good location for walking.
- Karen (10/5): - When we arrived we attempted to speak french to staff despite not being very good at it and they spoke back to us in fluent english. Rooms were spacious and clean.
- leonard (me) (8/5): - 2xsingle beds plastic mantras cover very uncomfortable madras’s topper kept moving and uncomfortable otherwise great
- Julie (10/5): - Just had an amazing stay at this hotel. Easily walkable from Eurostar station. Lovely restaurant close by 'Pancook' and across the road from the entrance to Zenith arena where we saw James Blunt concert. Main tourist/shopping area also easily walkable from hotel. Hotel was quiet, clean and our room was very big with opening balcony door onto Juliet style balcony. Staff were very friendly, breakfast was lovely. Would definitely stay again and would not hesitate to recommend.
- Charles (10/5): - Good clean hotel in the center of town. Somewhat complicated to find in a car as there are many one way streets and pedestrian streets in Lille.
- Samantha (10/5): - Handy to town
- Howard (10/5): - Nice hotel in a good location for the center of town.
- Mark (10/5): - Basic but very clean and staff pleasant and helpful
- Hayley (8/5): Convenient - Great central location, convenient, clean and comfortable beds. Needs to offer tea/coffee making facilities in room
- William (8/5): - A nice value property with easy walking access to the city centre. I would stay here again. Very good price and value.
- Arthur (10/5): - Good for basic needs and close to old town.
- Dorothy Christina (8/5): - Economic hotel. Close to Lille Europe and Lille Flanders and walkable to old town. Reception staff extremely helpful. No frills but very clean.
- Mark (10/5): - Great
- Volha (10/5): - Thank you all the team working there. Bertille, Lucas, Francisco, Mateo are company's assets.
- Joshua Michael (10/5): - The drink voucher was much appreciated after a long day of travel!
- Steve (8/5): - Standard Ibis hotel, a short walk from Lille Europe station.
- Anne (10/5): - Very quiet and convenient for my stay
- Darran (8/5): - Reasonable cost - close to the old town (10 min walk) - fairly quiet although lacking in on street parking (site does have private pay per stay) - the bed was comfortable although we had no working phone charger in the room (broken) - staff were really friendly and helpful
- Ming (10/5): - Overall an excellent place, close to the Grand Palais
- Robert (8/5): Good hotel nearby the Lille Europe train station. - Hotel rooms were very basic & small, with little furniture - dorm room like. However, staff were amazing and the paid breakfast was excellent.
- Becky (8/5): Ghost Concert Lille 2023 - We used this hotel for our Ghost concert at the Zenith Arena. It was within a 5 minute walk from the arena so it was very handy. Overall a nice and clean hotel. Only downside was our air con not working and the windows not opening. It was very hot out so it wasn’t great. But the staff were very friendly and helpful.
- Mark (10/5): One night stay in Lille - Nice find in the centre of Lille near the main train stations withing walking distance also of the Metro station. Hotel was comfortable with a decent buffet breakfast.
- PAULA DE VASCONCELLOS (8/5): - Very good breakfast.
Few amenities in the toilet.
- Paula (10/5): Lovely stay. Very clean room. Friendly - Spotlessly clean. Didnt realise there were no tea or coffee facilities in the room but easy enough to go to the cafe downstairs. Had to ask for extra toilet roll as only half a roll in my room when I arrived. Staff were very helpful and friendly . Cleaners were also really helpful. I would definitely stay here again
- Tina (10/5): Better than we expected. - The hotel is well sited for the train station and to be able to walk into the centre of Lille and explore.
We weren't sure what to expect because Ibis in the UK has not impressed us in the past. However our room here was very clean, comfortable and had everything we needed except a kettle (but that is fairly normal on the continent).
Breakfast was fresh, plentiful and with a wide range of choice.
Whilst the gentleman on reception when we arrived mid afternoon on Friday 21st April was brilliant. Happy, friendly and welcoming we didn't find the same on Saturday or Sunday. They were a bit more indifferent.
Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return if in Lille.
- Peter (10/5): Nice hotel short walk from the city centre. - Lovely overnight stay in Lille. Super friendly staff who were very welcoming and helpful. Hotel was clean and comfortable.
About 5 minute walk to city centre and all the shops and bars.
- Chris (10/5): - I love everything how clean the hotel was and the staff very nice and friendly.
- Kenneth (8/5): Not fancy, but Comfortable - Not fancy, but comfortable. Great location — easy walking to squares and old town, but in a quiet area. The decor feels a bit like a college dorm. The cafeteria style breakfast was surprisingly good. We were given a larger room with an extra bed for our granddaughter who stayed with us. It was good for our five day stay in Lille. We would stay here again. The staff are friendly and helpful.
- Eddie (10/5): - Great Manager she upgraded us to a huge room
- Marian (8/5): - The location was good, the room spacious and comfortable.
I think my towels were changed when I had not asked them to be.
- Linda (10/5): - Excellent location comfy beds fantastic breakfast. Would stay again
- antoun (10/5): - Very clean and very nice staff. Great location in Lille. Close to the downtown and the train station. Highly recommended.
- EJ (6/5): Usual Ibis Service close to Flandres Station - It is a three star hotel that lived up to the three stars. Enjoyed the stay and appreciated the proximity to the rail station and the very comfortable bed.
- jacqueline (10/5): - Accessibility to town, quietness of hotel
Cleanliness superb!
- Jamie (10/5): - Breakfast was very nice and staff very helpful and friendly
- Guadalupe (10/5): - This hotel is well located rooms are very comfortable and breakfast was delicious
- Lexus (6/5): - Central Heat was not working in my room. My first night was a nightmare. When I spike to the staff next day, they acknowledged and suggested I should use the portable/mobile heater (radiateur) present in the room, which I had trouble sleeping with because it dries the air in the room and gives me breathing issue. I noticed they had this portable heater in other rooms.
Breakfast buffet was good.
Facility was clean.
Staff was friendly.
Rooms are small, no closet for clothes.
Overall, ok for the price if it was not for the hvac issue.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Perfect base, 10 minute walk into the old town and shopping areas
- Kirsty (10/5): Lovely Comfortable Stay - Comfortable, clean room, lovely bed, friendly staff, tasty breakfast and within walking distance of all Lille stations. Only down side was no kettle or tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The staff did provide these once I requested them.
- Krista (8/5): - Very near to the venue we were going to but also walking distance to all the sightseeing.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Well located. No free water or coffee in the rooms
- Paola (6/5): - The hotel is in a great location. I attended a conference and it was very close to both the venue of the conference and to Old Lille. It was also very quiet and I enjoyed the breakfast that included many options. Not so good: the room are quiet small. I traveled with another person and given that there are no closet or anything with drawers we could not properly unpack which leads to a big mess when one travel for a while. There is a space where to hang some clothes but it is not sufficient for two people. The shower does not reliably maintain the same temperature. I burned myself and I thought I was going crazy because my companion did not have the same problem and at the concierge they acted very confused when I told them about it. However, I just saw that someone else wrote a comment about it. They may have that problem sometimes. Overall the hotel is ok, but I think we overpaid for what it offers.
- Verified traveler (8/5): 0/10 Would Stay Again! - this hotel exceeded our expectations by a longshot! the frnt desk was beyond acommodating, friendly, and the grounds were spotless clean. this was a great value for our stay in lille. the block it is on does not have that quaint, lille feel, but in a few short minutes walking you are in it all!
- Robert (8/5): A good value Ibis - Good location and value close to the centre.
- Margaret (2/5): - Not good. The first room was located in the dark no lights in the corridor you could not see the door! at al and next to busy road, , next room was good size but dark and gloomy, plus broken phone and internet, next room was very small, tiny window, which did not open just 2 inches of air allowed in rooms and shower keep blocking up.The location is near the station but a very grim area next to building that is being knocked down. I would not stay if I was alone here. Other ibis locations were far better in same city. I left items in 2nd room and did not get it back after just a few hours! I would like a refund please..
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The desk people were very friendly and efficient. Our triple room was large enough and comfortable and clean. We had a late train out to Belgium and they held our luggage for us so that we could enjoy the day before our late afternoon departure. The hotel had one of the most satisfying showers we have ever experienced in a hotel.
- Cheryl (8/5): Did the job - Night chap & kitchen lady lovely, morning reception could have been more welcoming but overall great stay. Wasn’t as well located as we thought it would be. Food limited & not 24 hours. Superb breakie variety.
- Carole (8/5): Nice hotel close to the centre - Nice and convenient hotel. A bottle of water in the room would be nice.
- Laurie (10/5): - Hotel staff were fantastic, the room was comfortable and spacious and just the right temperature. The cheese & charcuterie board was AMAZING ❤️❤️
- Helen (10/5): Nice hotel close to town - The staff on reception & in the breakfast bar were all very helpful. Our room was clean & very comfortable. The walk from the hotel to town or the train station only took 15 minutes. Lille is a beautiful city which feels very safe & it has good links to other places. Consider checking out the buses for travel to Bruges as these are quicker & cheaper than the trains.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Bad WiFi connection
- Charlie (10/5): Nice Hotel close to Gare Lille Flandres - This is a really good hotel close to Gare Lille Flandres and other places. The room has nice, clear and comfortable. Also, the staff was really great.
I would recommend this hotel.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good accommodation close to town - Had just one night booked but hotel fitted what we wanted - 10 minutes walk to town and also Eurostar station. Hotel was clean and comfortable, staff helpful.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - very good
- Verified traveler (8/5): Great staff. Clean. Thin shifty mattress. - Great staff. Could walk to everything. Clean, neat. Two minor things: Would have liked a flatter pillow. Very stuffed and too tall for my neck. Both beds had big pillows. Also found clean folded towels on bathroom floor on arrival. One bigger thing : thin mattress shifted all around, sometimes as much as three or four inches to one side. On a twin bed, that is a lot. I was afraid I would roll on the unsupported section and tumble off. You can buy breakfast and coffee if you would like to have it at the hotel. Very bare. No in room safe. No hot water maker for tea or coffee.
- Betzaida (8/5): Simple and pleasant! - I like it! it was very sumple but clean and very nice staff!
- ivan Ernesto (10/5): Best place to stay in lille - The best service, near to the main stations
- Jeremy (10/5): Nice and comfortable hotel - Room, even though basic, was quite new and comfortable. It was also spacious and clean. The bed was comfortable and the lightings were good. Air conditioning was also available which is welcoming as some hotels in the area do not have air conditioning. Staff was welcoming and helpful as well.
- Joseph (8/5): Clean and comfortable but missing basics. - No coffee no refrigerator no safe no ice machine!
Very friendly and helpful staff.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good overnight stay - The hotel is part of a chain and follows the corporate character. It does the job it sets out to do, but neither outstandingly well nor outstandingly badly. It is a 20 minutes walk (with luggage) to the TGV station, so I would not choose to stay again.
- Tanay (10/5): Conveniently located and clean hotel - Great quality hotel, looks quite newly built, ten minute walk to central railway station and ten minutes to old town, fifteen minutes to palace. Rooms were in great condition as expected from Accor hotels.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Good location - Good hotel and breakfast. No amenities, but a good place for one or two nights.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good value for money - Hotel was exactly what you would expect from an IBIS. Clean modern rooms, surprisingly spacious. A 5/10 minute walk from centre. Staff were courteous and helpful.
- Matthew (10/5): Nice place, great location - I was here during the Euro soccer tournament so prices were way higher than normal, but I'd imagine most times this hotel would be a great value. The room was clean and well equipped and even kinda large by European hotel standards. Staff was helpful and courteous and spoke good English. What I liked best about this place was the location, it's walkable from the train station (and major metro hub) as well as from the art gallery and most other main tourist attractions. This hotel is a great home base to visit Lille without having to take a taxi or spend a lot of time on the train.
