Steve (1/5): We will never go back to seahorse again. We are local and just wanted an ocean view room we booked. Luckily another hote - The staff are beach kids that talk trash about the clients and are the worst customer service I’ve ever had. They higher untrained local kids who should not be in hospitality. If you are expecting professional staff this is not the place for you. The office staff treat ppl terrible. They are not hospitable type ppl. The office staff needs to be changed.

No facilities for food drinks etc. The floor in our room was not cleaned as the bottoms of our feet were black and we always had to brush them off before bed. No sea view as it’s behind the sand dunes. It is vastly overpriced and overrated.

Arrived early but staff jumped through hoops to get us in the room - they went above and beyond to help. Gate access to the ocean does not work, why? This could be a security issue. Also Lemon Bar decided it was too hot to service drinks for us by the pool!
Mary (10/5): Always love being here! - Did not have breakfast. We have been staying at the Seahorse since 2000. Our honeymoon , we stayed here. I also come from santa Rosa Beach once a month for the Art Market on the 3rd Thursday. Please keep this fabulous place and please keep it reasonable rates.

The doors to the room lack seals, meaning all manner of critters can enter the room, and they do. The rooms have been updated, but barely. The water pressure is mediocre at best. They don't allow smoking anywhere, which us a bummer for those that like a cigar with their whiskey. The pool towels always seem to be empty as well.

P2474ZSkarenp (10/5): Absolutely! - What a charming fully renovated old Florida motel! Props to the folks who found it worth saving and invested. Room 110 handicapped was spacious and clean. Easy parking. This stay was one of the very rate hotel stays where both my husband and I were comfortable with the mattress. Restaurants and a coffee shop are a short distance away. Note that you do not have a view of the beach. We had a spacious patio area with outdoor chairs to enjoy a view of the pool, palm trees, and the breeze. Note to hotel: you may want to integrate into your cleaning cycle ceiling fan blades, and the lovely Adirondack chairs in your common area. Apparently the local birds like those chairs too. ;-)

Rooms are no longer clean especially the floors, dispensers in showers do not work, limited toilet paper, cups and towels and you will now pay $4 for one muffin, no longer do they offer breakfast baskets!!! Lemon Bar waters down all drinks and caters to the locals NOT HOTEL GUESTS!!!! Been coming here for years but no more 🌞

4155fha (10/5): I love a good retro motel - I love a good MCM retro motel and this one hit the spot. I parked right at my 1st floor room door and walked right in. The room was bright, cool, and clean. The grounds are well kept and the pool was nice. There are cozy sitting areas throughout. All the staff were friendly and helpful. No reservation because I wanted to see it first, no problem, checking in was a breeze. My stay was quiet; but there is an outdoor bar on premises so YMMV.

135higherh (2/5): $517.94 Charge – Beware of Rigid Policies and No Response from Management - $517.94 Charge – Beware of Rigid Policies and No Response from Management I want to share a warning to other travelers about my recent experience with Seahorse Oceanfront Inn in Neptune Beach, FL , booked through Expedia. On June 21, 2025, I mistakenly reserved the wrong dates. I realized the error within minutes, immediately canceled, and rebooked for the correct dates. My family stayed at the hotel on the correct reservation — the mistaken one was never used. The hotel suffered no loss. Yet, I was still charged $517.94 for the unused booking. Worse, the Seahorse Oceanfront Inn has refused to respond to any of my direct outreach or to Expedia’s repeated attempts to contact them on my behalf. As a hardworking consumer, I find this treatment unacceptable. Mistakes corrected within minutes should not result in families paying hundreds of dollars for services never received. Unfortunately, this property hides behind a rigid “non-refundable” policy while ignoring all good-faith attempts to resolve the issue. If you are considering booking here — please beware. Until this property takes accountability and responds fairly to customers, I cannot recommend it. Families deserve better than being taken advantage of by policies that punish honest mistakes.

Leslie (10/5): My Sea Horse gate to amazing days!! - This is our favorite place to stay! That beautiful gate is my favorite portal to my Atlantic Ocean!! We have been staying at the Sea Horse for many years and are so thankful that is hasn’t changed too much!! What we do notice is that the rooms are very clean and have all the comforts (microwave, fridge, coffee)! I do not ever like leaving!!
Dave (10/5): Great for adjlts - Great spot for a quick getaway. They have a bar attached - no one under 21 allowed on weekends so not very kid friendly

Darlene (6/5): - Beach access A couple of the employees were rude, had to go to the office to obtain towels and wash clothes along with toilet paper. When going through bed sand in bed. Thank god we had 2 full so we slept in other bed.
Kristie (6/5): - The location is wonderful and convenient. The actual facility is run down and smells a bit like mildew. Limited soap in the shower dispenser. Housekeeping did not come by the whole 3 days. WiFi was not functional. Limited towels. It was doable for a short trip, but I wouldn't pay regular hotel prices for it.

Colson (9/5): Overall very good experience, the staff at the Lemon bar was outstanding and the food was good also. - We were celebrating my birthday and retirement so it was perfect for the occasion having the Lemon bar on the premise The only draw back was the pool water temp. was like warm bath water not very refreshing.

Denise (2/5): - Room was not ready for 4pm check in. No manager around. Reserved 1st floor room but was told manager changed it to second floor. No explanation. My husband and I are in our 60's and this was very inconvenient. Room was smelly and bathroom had bugs. Grout missing all over bathroom. Toilet tank cover did not fit toilet (safety hazard) and remote control did not work. Won't be back.

Theresa (9/5): Love the Seahorse and would stay there again. - proximity to the beach, loved that they allowed our 70# dog to stay, most hotels limit pet weight to under 50# The maid staff were so friendly and helpful. Hotel was 5 min from my daughters home so it was super convenient. Most of the other guests were very nice but one guest made us feel unsafe. We opted to not pay for breakfast when we booked our room, this does not appear to be available at this hotel. Pool was so hot but every hotel in Fl is upper 80's -90's this time of year. Not really anything the hotels can do about it. But the ocean is the best place to cool off. Would also be nice to offer beach chairs /umbrellas onsite although we were told it was available by a private company.
Megan (10/5): - Front desk and bar staff were great. short staffed when it came to house keeping and room was not ready at check in and they did not allow for late check out. Nice pool, good location for beach access, food, and shopping.
Barbara (10/5): My sister and I grew up in the area and our trip was related to the sale of our childhood home. Staying at the seahorse - The combination of oceanfront as well as a very private pool was a huge selling point.
erin (10/5): - I love this little inn. It has such a great location and the Lemon Bar and its entertainment is wonderful- thanks Travis! Parking can be right but we did well and the beach was gorgeous.

Sierra (8/5): Typical Beach Motel, was fun! - Location was awesome! We loved the beach access and the restaurants close by. The room was your typical beach motel room. Floor was gross, white sock turned instantly grey. Water pressure terrible. There was a gas smell right outside our door near the ice machine on the second floor. Horrible when walking by, luckily couldn’t smell it in our room.
Griffith (3/5): Would not recommend. - Location Sewer smell in room and on the grounds. Outside shower was a trickle, not even enough to wash the sand off. Heavy sewer smell when turned on! Frog in the ice machine which only gave out a few ice cubes anyway. Asked attendant if there was another ice machine on the property but was told no. The night before leaving, we found another ice machine on the second floor which was the floor we were staying on. The pool was closed for a day and half. Received a letter that the water would be turned off for 4 hours the second day there. I am not a picky person and do not have to have the best, hut this was the worst hotel experience I have ever experienced. So disappointed:(
