I contacted the manager well ahead of time and when I had booked letting her know I would be checking in past normal hours and she reassured me she would be there to open the door when I got in but no one was there when I got there so I couldn't stay and had to go to a hotel to book another reservation for the night. There was no heat, I was told that a room heater would be provided because the heat in the room had not been turned on in some time. The space heater was lame and the room was freezing

- Adriane (8/5): Convenient, nice enough location if you're going to a show at The Black Sheep. - The location is perfect- I was there for a concert at The Black Sheep right across the street. The floor was gritty- could have used a good sweep/vacuum. I wish there was a hair dryer- I assumed the room would have one and didn't bring my own. The TV/cable didn't work. The outlets in the main room didn't work to charge my phone, I had to use the outlet in the bathroom. And the CO air is very dry- I wish I had a humidifier! But it was a nice enough functional room for my one night stay.

The garden was absolutely gorgeous and hidden from main view. This place was old but very clean. The ac units could use replacing or major servicing because they are older than me and I’m in my 30’s.

- Stacy (8/5): - I will admit I was skeptical because as others stated it looks like a sketchy neighborhood but we found it very friendly. This is a traditional old Motel some rooms are probably small, however our room was very spacious with a full size fridge, coffee maker & stove. It was very clean, the staff was very friendly & helpful. We were within walking distance to the Labor Day lift off festivities, we walked the mile there & back and never felt unsafe. The parking is definitely tight.

We were asked if we watched TV, yes we do and use the weather a lot. We were told it was hard to turn on so it was turned on for us and we would just leave it on.. we left and came back,,,, the TV was off and we could not get it to come back on left a message hoping maybe somebody could call us back tell us how to turn it on at least in the morning other than that the stay was okay. Should have questioned them further on making sure we would have access. We ended up leaving early which wasn't part of the plan but......
- AMY (2/5): - The main office reeked of cigarette smell, the woman at the desk was very nice. However, once we got to our room, we knew within minutes that we could not stay the night. The cigarette smell was overwhelming. There were beetles on the walls and the be seemed like it was taken from a dumpster nearby into our room. The bedspread had cigarette holes in it. The thermostat didn't work, nor was there a cover on it. There's a generic air conditioner in the window. However, the window is not sealed so bugs are easily allowed in. The door to the bathroom didn't work overall. Bad mistake...I lost a $109 just to drive back up to Denver For nothing. I turned my key back in 20 minutes after check in. The woman at the desk asked if there was a problem. I said "yeah there's beetles on the wall". She said "sorry thank you". We left immediately after that.

- Eileen (8/5): It was comfortable, clean, and I would stay again. - It has a fenced area to walk the dogs. Beautiful garden area, with seating, a barbecue, and table. The sheets and towels were soft and good quality. Better doors would make a big difference.

- caryn (10/5): 5-Star Manager - Manager was very helpful in everything we asked of her - from helping us figure out how to use the TV to restaurant suggestions. She even volunteered to park our car in a tight spot. She more than made up for the “datedness” of the motel.

Also it was a plus they have a snack vending machine and a soda vending machine and their laundry room is quite nice. The location is off of a busy street and the parking lot is smaller and hard to turn around in but manageable

- Lauren (2/5): The entire experience was unpleasant here, I was disappointed to have paid for 5 nights. I wouldn’t even say this is a g - The bed was mostly comfortable. The guy cleaning was nice. The bed was dirty with debris and hair. One of my windows only had a “privacy” curtain that was mostly see through. I used a dirty blanket off the bed to cover this. The area is terrible, although I should’ve done my research as it was my first time in the area. I stayed with my dog and had to walk at least 5 blocks to get to any grass which was annoying. I was talked to and stared at by multiple other guests and traveling as a female this was very uncomfortable. What better can you expect from the cheapest place in town, though. Just spend the extra money per night on a chain.

Location was on Platte, close to Union. LOTS of noise, all night long. - Even wearing ear plugs was not enough. Smell of Marijuana much of the night. Did not feel safe at night - kept a knife next to the bed.

- JACK (2/5): Not a good experience. - This place was horrible. I booked this because of location, but ended up checking out shortly after checking in. The smell of weed was nauseating. There was no lock on the window and no shampoo. The bed sheets were stained. The motel is part of a storage unit property. The woman at check-in was pleasant, but that is all I can say that is nice about the property.

- Manny (4/5): - The first place I stayed at that charged for ice. The room was what you expect for the price the rugs were fifth and left your feet black on the bottom. There are a lot of shady characters but they left the cars alone. Won’t stay again for the simple fact that they charge for Ice really!!!!

They were talking about my husband when they didn’t know I could hear and were looking in our car windows and circling it. Could hear people rattling the fence behind our unit as well. We did not stay the night for our safety. Should have known when the office was locked with bars and had pit bull on chains. Even if we had stayed there was pee in the toilet and a shocking amount of food in the floor. Tried to talk to Expedia about it and they didn’t care. Also called the motel several times and they won’t call us back. Which is not surprising as the front desk woman told us “don’t worry it’s not as dangerous as it looks, just don’t leave your room!”

- Daniel (5/5): Okay but could be better - The beds were comfortable. There was a refrigerator in our room. Neighborhood was sketchy. Several things didn't work in the room (bathroom door knob) freezer did not freeze. There was a lot of street noise.
- Jennifer (4/5): Dirty, smelly, doesn’t feel safe. - The pictures do not remotely represent the actual property. I thought it looked cute and retro, but it is run down and dirty. It’s supposed to be nonsmoking (with signs about being fined) but our room reeked of smoke. We ended up sleeping in our clothes because we didn’t trust the sheets to be clean, the blanket was stained and dirty (as shown in the picture). I will give them credit that the bathroom was clean at least. We honestly would not have stayed there once we saw it, but it was late when we got in and we had to be up early and didn’t have the energy to find a new place or try to fight them for a refund. For the life of me I don’t understand how it has as high of a rating as it does. Finally, people were walking past our room and the area didn’t feel safe. Not really their fault but something to consider. We have stayed at cheap motels all of the country now, so it isn’t like we had 4 star expectations, and this is the first bad review I’ve ever left. There must be better options in Colorado Springs.

- James (6/5): If you don't like deposits and like cold. - Hotels.com actually had messed up. My reservation so when I got there I didn't have a reservation. But the lady still allowed me to get a room then she booked me to a room. Somebody was already in then she gave me even a better room but she said she would price match. She charged me $65 originally for the room that I wanted but she gave me the bigger room and made me feel like she was just doing me a favor because she had messed up. But really she end up charging me $78 and didn't even tell me that she was charging me extra which I thought wasn't very cool. The OnePlus is that there's no deposit, so if you don't like Dylan with deposits then this is probably your best bet. But there's not very much room for parking. It sucks and the rooms were very cold and it took a long time for the heat to come on.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Would not recommend, not even for 1 night. - Two concerns: First, the room smelled like it had been smoked in for the past 70 years and only recently became non-smoking. We thought we could handle it, but it was nauseating. Second, the bed was just a pop up bed. Extremely uncomfortable. We honestly contemplated getting up and driving home half way through the night. We will not be returning.

The two minutes worth of luke warm water that comes out of the shower before running cold is absolutely unacceptable. 60 dollars a night for this dump. Nope

- Shelby (1/5): A freezing cold night with no sleep and a cold shower. - Good location, spacious room with kitchen area (fridge, microwave) It was absolutely FREEZING overnight and there was no way to warm up the room! The AC unit in the window let in a cold draft of air when it was <10 degrees outside and there was no way to get warm, so I got no sleep because it was about 40 degrees in the room. Also no hot water whatsoever for a shower, even after waiting 15 minutes for it to heat up. The most supremely uncomfortable hotel stay I’ve ever had.

- Patricia (2/5): - I didn’t stay there due to the horrendous, cigarette smoke and poor customer service and treatment. I was told I would only be refunded for one day, but have yet to be refunded. Anything at all do not stay there at all. There are better affordable accommodations elsewhere, plus I think the property is running a scam where they want to charge you $250 for cigarette smoke but yet the whole property already smells like smoke so how are they able to even decipher that seems like a scam to me!

There was a beautiful Rose Garden with interesting sculptures and other cool trinkets we could walk through on stone pathways. I booked this place because it was cheap, but it turned out to be a cool hidden gem. I loved staying there!!!

Only photos shown were the nicer rooms (IF they are even legit) The stairs to the room were rotted and falling apart. The lock on door was wobbly and didn't feel safe. The room was tiny! The whole room smelled musty. Terrible location, right off the street where people lurking all hours of the night. Didn't feel safe at all! Has to move little end table to put in front of door in case someone broke in. Window had a large crack in it. Towells were stained and dirty. Bed sounded like it was going to fall apart. Toilet plugged up right away. No hot water. This was a terrible stay and will NEVER go there again Felt disgusting leaving there just from staying in the place.
- Christie (2/5): Horrible and disgusting stay - Absolutely horrific stay… from the very first day, we did not have a “deluxe” room… sewage in the shower, toilet leaked at the seam, overflowed and smelled like sewage, used maxi pad left on the floor, and sure that we all know what that mark was on the comforter. Shameful and I expect a FULL refund.
