Guest Reviews
- Tom (10/5): - yes very welcoming would stay again
- nutthawuth (8/5): Budget hotel for adventurer - Though, the hotel location doesn't close to walking street but I would recommend for staying away from noisiness and its atmosphere, you are also can ride to anywhere you want hence there many free bicycles serving at the entrance. The room condition doesn't quite good but acceptable comparing to the price.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Ms Cuc, the receptionist was so helpful and friendly. She made our stay very enjoyable. The hotel is also well equipped, clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!
- Henrik (8/5): - God service
- Amy (10/5): - Cannot fault our stay here. The staff are absolutely brilliant - so friendly, helpful and accommodating.
It is a little bit out of the town centre, but you can easily borrow the bikes and ride down or taxis are readily available and super cheap.
The facilities were brilliant. Really enjoyed the breakfast and pool.
Overall, I would have to say it was our favourite place we stayed at in all of Vietnam.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good stay :) - A good stay overall. The staff was friendly and room was nice. The location is a little far but they lend you bikes for free. They also have lots of local food stalls and restaurants nearby :
- Paul (10/5): Quiet place away from the tourist crowd - This is a small quiet hotel that overlooks the river. It is across the bridge and about a 10 minute taxi ride to the old town. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful to taking care of everything you need. I can't say enough of how helpful they try to be.
- Skip (10/5): This is a great boutique hotel - This terrific boutique hotel is a little ways from the old quarter but walkimg there is not out of the question
The staff is amazing. Alice, Kate and Thomh go out of their way to meet your every need. From delicious breakfasts made to order to bikes to ride for free they work to make your stay very enjoyable. I would stay here again if Im back in Hoi An
- Brian (10/5): No need to look any further - This is great place to stay if you want comfort, service and friendly faces. From the welcoming fruit drink when we arrived to the one while we were waiting for our transfer when leaving. We really enjoyed our stay, the staff was fantastic from making sure we had what we needed to giving directions which included booking a tour and train tickets with a transfer to DaNang train station. Clean spacious room with comfortable bed. Lovely pool and area by the river to sit and relax. about 30 minute walk to the old town. Bicycles are available to tour the area which came in handy to bike to the beaches.
- Paul (10/5): - Hotel was beautiful. We chose a river view room with balcony which was nice. Rooms are nice size and bed was massive! Good size shower too although hot water seemed to run out very quickly so sometimes one of us would have to have cold shower.
Hotel is situated about a 10 minute cycle ride from town centre which was fine for us. We used the bikes from the hotel to get us there although most of them were a bit battered with dodgy brakes.
Breakfast was ok but had better on our trip.
- John (10/5): Riverside Oasis - Really impressed by the friendliness of the staff most of all. They seemed really interested in you as a person. Room was excellent.
Bedste overnatning i Vietnam
- Elizabeth (10/5): Home away from home - I return to Riverside each time I visit Hoi An and highly recommend. It's not an impersonal 5 star resort property which appeals to me. The staff are wonderful and communicate well in English, nothing is too much trouble, very helpful and informative. Room spotless, beds very comfortable with nice linen, complementary toiletries, in room safe, serviced daily. Pool towels available, pool well maintained and clean. Great complementary breakfast menu, fresh milk on request, they can also organise an evening meal to be delivered. Complementary bikes in good condition to ride around Hoi An. Well maintained property and gardens.
- Ayumint (10/5): Nice Villa near the river - The room was spacious and clean, staffs were all friendly. Good location to relax. Breakfast was great, too.
- gabi (10/5): - Its a great plave to stay
The staff are fantastic
Food is very good and you can get bicycle of them for free
Would i stay again
Yes defently
- Fiona (10/5): Lovely low key hotel - We loved our stay at Riverside. The hotel is very homely - it doesn't take long to settle in. The staff were always helpful and so nice. We especially enjoyed the size of the rooms, the free push bikes we could use and the home cooked breakfast each morning - so much nicer than the traditional breakfast buffet.
We can't wait to go back to Riverside Oasis in the future.
- Lyn (8/5): - Hotel made a wonderful base for us to explore the area
- Choon (8/5): Quiet side of Hoi An - The villa offers a family-friendly environment with warm welcoming staff. It is not too far from the ancient town; offering a more serene atmosphere away from the tourist crowd.
- Alastair (10/5): Great hotel on the edge of town - From the moment I booked Laura was a fantastic help. She arranged our airport transfer and our onward trip up to Hue via Marble Mountain with a great driver/guide. She also helped book a brilliant cooking course and was generally a font of all the local knowledge we needed.
The hotel is gorgeous and the rooms were lovely, clean and comfortable. The free bicycles were the perfect way to into and around Hue without risking the unreliable pricing of Vietnam taxis. Pool was nice and breakfasts were always delicious. I've never gorged on so much pineapple before.
Definitely recommend the hotel to all travelers happy to stay a little out of the centre of Hue.
- Torrey (10/5): Beautiful hotel, not far from Hoi An centre - Very nice small hotel with good sized, beautifully updated rooms and a really picturesque pool area. Staff were all very friendly and happy to give advice. Free bike rentals, which was great for the short ride into town. Wish we could have stayed longer, and would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet hotel with easy access to the city centre.
- Alex (10/5): Amazing visit must see place - Was absolutely amazing! Never had one problem! Staff super friendly and very safe!
Beautiful place and very relaxing area not to far from the old quarters and market area
- Verified traveler (10/5): Hoi An Stay - The hotel and staff were excellent! The hotel provides bikes for your use, which we totally took advantage of to wonder all over Hoi An during our 4 day stay. Location from Hoi An ancient town is less than a 10 minute bike ride away. The breakfast was made to order and delicious.
- Alan (10/5): Worth it for the breakfast alone - We had a wonderful 4 night stay here. Staff really helpful and friendly, particularly the two girls who alternate at reception. Hotel is situated between the town and the beach with both being just a short ride on the hotels free bicycles. Nice view of river from balcony of room (room 204). Room clean and quite big with separate shower room with rainforest shower. All in all a great place to stay and value for money especially with the standard of breakfast you get, try the local specialities. Probably the best breakfast we had throughout vietnam and we stopped at some much more costlier hotels. Can't comment on the pool as it rained our whole stay and never used it.
- Kevin (10/5): Beautiful hotel, great service - Our stay was amazing, relaxing and we'd be happy to stay there again. Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended!!
- Dylan (8/5): Great Staff, Nice Hotel, But Construction :( - Super friendly staff, great breakfast, & nice hotel. Would not recommend if you want peace & quiet and views, there is construction of new apartments attached to the hotel. It would have been nice to have the room with a view of the river / been advised when I spoke on the phone as I was told it was not a problem quiet, not the case - also construction at two other corners of the property. Seems like the place may be for sale as there a lot of prospectors coming through when we were there.
- Steven Kyu Chan (10/5): Would stay again. Love my visit here. Thank you. - A.C. Not as strong as I'd prefer but was good enough. Had trouble with wifi. The hostsare very friendly, and very accommodating. Always greeted with good morning, and how was your day. the free breakfast is great from 7-10. Didn't use the pool, but saw them cleaning it every morning. The hotel is kept very clean.
- DMKK (10/5): - We spent 8 nights at the Villa, and had a relaxing time with our family. The rooms were huge and well appointed (We stayed in a triple room for a family of 4). The breakfast is 'all-you-can-eat', and it is deliciously prepared by Lan, the chef. There is an outdoor market nearby as well as a grocery/convenience store, but be prepared to pay 'foreigner' prices, because there are no price tags on anything. There are several good restaurants within walking distance; I highly recommend Red Dragon and Circle Cafe. Restaurant 328 is also okay. The highlight of our stay was the pool, and our boys spent several hours everyday, swimming and playing. Ms. Lien and Mr. Huy at the reception were so friendly and helpful throughout our stay, which we really appreciated, and all of the staff was especially kind to our children.
1) this place is popular, so it was always fully booked, so book early.
2) There is construction going on (slated for completion by the end of 2016) where they are increasing the size of the resort and adding another building and swimming area with a with a bar, so it may be noisy. Our room (301) faced the front street and had extensive soundproofing, so we heard nothing, but other rooms may hear it.
3) It is a long walk to town or to the beach, and young children will not be able to ride the free adult-sized bikes, plus may not be 'traffic aware' and so riding is not really an option for families with elementary school-aged children.
- Sophie (10/5): Excellent hotel, highly recommend. - Out of 6 weeks travelling around Asia, this was undoubtedly my favourite hotel whilst also being good value. The rooms are a great size, with lovely balconies, great views, everything you need and comfortable beds.
The best thing about this hotel is that you can really relax because you know that the staff and family that rub the hotel will do al they can to meet your needs. Whether it be laundry, taxis, breakfast, transfers or dinner reservations they really look after you in a way I haven't even experienced at 5* resorts. Mr Huy the manager is a great human and even made me some homemade gunger remedy when I wasn't feeling well.
The free bikes are great - only 15 mins to the centre of Hoi an or 30 mins to An Bang. Quiet location, although you'll need a £1.50 taxi into town at night. Breakfast is delicious - although the banana pancakes from the street stalls in Hoi an (outside the cloth market) are the best you'll find, Riverside Oasis come a close second.
Only down side was that our room on the top floor had a sporadic wifi connection and the shower drains smelled a little but other than that, no complaints.
- Misti (10/5): Peaceful place - We booked a private balcony room but did not receive that room, which was disappointing. However, we were only at the hotel for about 11 hours so I did not make a fuss about it. Staff was lovely, breakfast was amazing and the facilities were nice.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Good stay, but a bit far from old city - No complaints here. Comfortable room, nice hot shower, helpful staff, adequate breakfast. The distance is a bit of an issue, but taxis are plentiful and cheap.
- Karin (10/5): Lovely hotel, delicious breakfast and great staff! - Can't say enough about this hotel. Huy and the rest of the staff were extremely helpful. They have bicycles you can ride into town, and they were quick to fix any issues with them. Breakfast was quickly made, delicious and can be enjoyed in a lovely outdoor setting by the river. Spacious, attractive and comfortable rooms. Highly recommended!
- Duncan (10/5): Extremely friendly boutique hotel! - From the moment we arrived at Riverside Oasis we were made to feel at home. The room was bright, clean and comfortable, great shower which we love (room 202) and a lovely view of the pool and from the balcony you can see the river. Breakfast was a delight each morning, we highly recommend the Pho Bo, Bancakes, fresh juices and of course the iced Vietnamese coffee! It is a family run business, they are so friendly and they cannot do enough for you. On a morning when my wife wanted to skip breakfast they offered to make something to take to the room. Everyone was extremely helpful and informative and gave us lots of info on the local area. The location is perfect, around 15-20 minute walk into the ancient village but only a 5 minute walk to restaurants, markets, atm etc. Taxis to the ancient village are around 50-60 vnd. Although we didn't get a chance for a dip in the pool the pool area was lovely and relaxing. After 4 nights stay at Riverside Oasis we moved to a beach resort for the last 3 nights of our holiday. The beach resort was pure luxury but we should probably have stayed put at the riverside because of the value for money aspect. The beach is a 10 minute drive from riverside oasis so it's very easy to take a taxi for a few pounds if you do fancy a bit of time on the sand, I'd recommend a little beach bar called soul kitchen if you head that way. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending anyone stay and this hotel! Thank you for all your hospitality.
- J. Barton (10/5): Very Nice Hotel - Close to City & Beach - Staff is terrific and hotel is very nice - particularly for the price. Rooms were up-to-date. Had free bicycles to use for going into Hoi An (10 minutes by bike) or to the beach (5 minutes). Glad we stayed.
- Christine (10/5): Incredible! Simply incredible! - We came for one night and stayed for four! Everything was top notch!
The hotel staff truly cares and always goes the extra mile to make you feel welcome and happy!
From arranging transport to the hotel to the care they take in making the delicious breakfast I can not express how wonderful our stay here was. The rooms are beautiful and offer stunning views! The pool is luxurious and the bikes are awesome!
Besides the hotel structure being beautiful and clean it's the sincerity and warmth of the staff that sets this place apart!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Very friendly staff and good location - The staff at the hotel were so nice and accommodating. They were always making sure we didn't want for anything. The breakfast was good and again the cook was very friendly, always making sure you were full! My only complaint would be it was a little loud between the roosters and nearby road. However, I think the friendly staff, good location and beautiful pool made up for it. Would definitely recommend it.
- Stephen (10/5): Lovely and helpful staff - Loved our stay here. The staff were so friendly and hospitable, nothing was too much trouble. With the free use of bicycles, the ancient quarter, fishing village and beaches were only 10 or so minutes away. The pool was lovely, and breakfast was excellent. Great value for miney too - couldn't recommend this place highly enough.
- Michael (10/5): Irish Welcome from Vietnamese family! - Great stay with a very friendly family who went above and betond with every request we made. The hotel is a little far from the centre of Hoi An 30-40minutes walk! However, there were free bicycles to borrow which made light of the trip - there was also a lock provided to ensure that the bikes could be left unattended while we visited the various Hoi An restaurant.
Wifi was a little weak... But it was a great stay, wouldn't hesitate to return!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Fabulous - The service and attentiveness of the staff is out of this world. Recommended many of our friends.
- denita (10/5): Beautiful hotel, lovely staff - A great hotel, lovely pool, the staff were so very friendly and hospitable, I will return to this hotel when next in Hoi An, shirt cycle to beach, old town and water coco palms areas, completely enjoyed my stay
- solo female (10/5): Lovely clean modern hotel - A lovely hotel, short cycle from old town , beach, or water coco palms, the staff are lovely, I really enjoyed my stay and booked extra nights
- Verified traveler (10/5): Brilliant hospitality breakfast location - A great place to stay. Staff can't do enough for you. Free bicycles. Room large with balcony overlooking river. Quiet but easy to get into centre.
- brobi41 (10/5): high quality, boutique hotel. - Riverside oasis is just that. An oasis. A small family run boutique hotel just out of the hustle of tourist driven Hoi An. Coming back at the end of a hot day to relax in the pool was luxury. Our room was at the front of the building but double glazing on the door which opened on to a small
verandah, kept the roadside noise at bay and we slept like babies every night. Our room was very well appointed and spotlessly cleaned everyday. We loved the floor to ceiling tiled bathroom and the rainhead shower was great as being tall, sometimes clearance under some showers is non existent but no problems at the Riverside. Breakfast is very tasty and more than adequate. You can order heaps if you wish. The chef here is amazing, she even makes her own jam for the beautiful warm, fresh baguettes that are served at breakfast. They were the best we had eaten in three weeks of travelling in Vietnam. My mouth waters just thinking of them. We were very privileged to be invited to lunch with the family one day during our stay. We ate breakfast everyday in the garden. We had the night before eaten at a local resturant Cao Lao the local signature dish and thought it very tasty but Chef's version at lunch was far superior!! And to share a meal with the family was just lovely and very special. To get into town or to the beach Riverside has free bikes. They are a great way to travel and see heaps. If biking is not to your liking, it is only a quick, and cheap taxi ride anywhere.
- Christina (10/5): Highly recommend - great staff and great location - Everything about the hotel was great, including the location. The hotel is new and run by a lovely family. Breakfast is included and bikes are free to use (I'm not sure if this is the case with all hotels but I have seen some bikes in Hoi An with other hotel labels). We checked out very early in the morning and they had kindly prepared a boxed breakfast for us. We went for this hotel because of the reviews read online about location and the staff. One other thing is that they have a really nice swimming pool too so it was good to relax there between cycling around during the day time and dinner in the evening.
One minor thing (and someone else had said this on Tripadvisor) was that the lady at reception (I think she is the main contact) kept asking us to write reviews on the hotel on the evening before we left because their rankings had dropped or something, but we just didn't have time to do that. Not too much of a bother for us, we just told her that we'll definitely do it at some point and the review will be a good one.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great hotel - Would stay here again!
Helpful friendly staff who were easy to communicate with. Short taxi ride or walking distance to main shopping area in Hoi An.
Rooms were beautiful and pool was heavenly!!
- Mark (10/5): Quality, hospitality, value! - We had a booking for 2 nights and ended up staying for 6 and still didn't want to leave. Trang and staff bent over backwards to help with all our needs. Ideally located to access the old town and An Bang beach.
Excellent breakfast by the river. Great rooms., pool.
This is a great place run by lovely people.
- Courtney (8/5): Beautiful hotel - Beautiful new hotel with complimentary bike rentals into town. The room was spacious and clean with good wifi. The bathroom was very nice with a rainfall shower with great water pressure. The breakfast was okay, but free which was a positive. The location is beautiful overlooking a small river. There was a rooster next door that made noise 24/7 but it wasn't too much of a nuisance.
The only downside for my husband and I was the pressure to shop/buy/book at the places suggested by the staff. We visited during Tet so the tour operator suggested by the hotel had been fully booked for the tour that we were looking at, so naturally we booked elsewhere. The co-owner was not so happy about this, which was apparent.
The day of our tour we got up early to check out and eat breakfast and then waited for our tour to arrive. Apparently the operator had called the hotel, talked to a staff member who failed to relay the message until an hour later after watching us sit and wait during that time. He only gave my husband the message when we requested to use the telephone to call. Poor customer service, and even worse it seemed purposeful.
On the plus side, they held our bags after check out and arranged our taxi back to Da Nang airport which helped quite a bit. Still a great hotel, but definitely looking for commission
