- Terrance (9/5): Seaside Luxury - The location right on the water can’t be beat! The infinity pool with its super fresh water was so refreshing. The restaurant serves up excellent food. I liked the intimacy with the small number of guests. I stayed in the sumptuous Master bedroom which I found hard to cool down to a comfortable sleeping temperature. If you’re staying for awhile you might find the breakfast selections limited. Not that the hotel can do much about this but the snorkeling was lacklustre and there was a lot of plastic pollution.

Even during rain storms it was a relaxing place to hang out.

- Rodney (10/5): A little piece of paradise were you're treated like royalty. - This was the most luxurious and relaxing holiday ever but it didn't cost the earth. The staff were very attentive but not overly invasive, they catered to our every need. Breakfasts were delicious, brought to our private dining area daily. Predominantly Asian style but eggs and bacon were available for those who really want that. Everything is immaculately clean and the food at the restaurant delicious. Our coeliac daughter was able to eat off the menu stress free, and the entire resort has its own perfectly drinkable water supply. Showering, brushing your teeth and filling up water bottles just like home. No Bali belly here!! Snorkelling out the front of the resort was the best the island had to offer. Private morning yoga class with Nassa, listening to the waves was delightful. The resort cats, Bruno and Lulu added life and entertainment to the week. We rarely go back places just because there's just so much to see in this world but this place will draw us back. The mattress was a little firm but we mentioned this on the first morning and they bought in a mattress topper and fixed it. They really look after you. It's not near the hustle and bustle of down town Ahmed but if you really need that, they'll drive you down or you could hire a scooter. There's no sand at this resort but that's what makes the snorkelling so perfect. A short walk to Lipah will get you some sand between your toes.
- Ljubica (8/5): - Beautifully decorated property, great location and pool, very friendly staff and Pleasant view from the terrace where breakfast and dinner are served, wonderful desserts The bathroom and air conditioning in the room need renovation, the bathroom is showing the signs of time, the air conditioning is not particularly efficient. These are big things that cost you time and money. A small thing that does not require any effort and resources is a corner in the room for making tea and coffee. The tea bags are of poor quality, luckily I had my own tea bags, which I also brought for breakfast, because the time there was the same as in the room. My husband and I do not drink coffee, but I think that nowadays a coffee machine with capsules is a given and necessary

Vårt rum hade allt vi behövde och var rymligt och rent. Trevlig personal som tar väl hand om gästerna och god mat. Eftersom de har sin egen vattenkälla kan man dricka kranvattnet! Fina snorkelområden precis utanför, vi såg sköldpaddor varje gång vi snorklade. Det enda minuset är att det ligger långt från flygplatsen (3,5-4h bilfärd).

Two…the stairs and ramp down to one of the best snorkelling experiences I’ve ever encountered. On top of that, lovely service and people. We enjoyed the breakfast and the sweet and sour chicken It’s nothing to do with the property or staff but please note the area would require a bike or transport for exploration. The roads are not so easy to walk from place to place on. Get the Grab app so you can order transport!

- Olivier (10/5): Une piscine de rêve vue sur mer - L’endroit est très beau. Un hôtel à taille humaine avec une piscine vue sur la mer. Le personnel est très gentil et prêt à nous rendre service. L’hôtel est situé à 10’ à pied de Lipah beach (plage pour le snorkeling que nous n’avons pas testé en raison d’une mer un peu agité) À savoir que l’hôtel est à 15’ en voiture d’Amed Beach

Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber, geräumig und schön eingerichtet. Der Service ist wahnsinnig freundlich, jeder Wunsch wird einem von den Lippen abgelesen und das Essen ist sehr lecker. Besonders toll ist, dass man dort aufgrund der eigenen Quelle das Leitungswasser bedenkenlos trinken kann. Außerdem ist die Aussicht phänomenal, da man direkt aufs Meer blickt und man hat auch direkten Meerzugang vom Garten aus. Im Meer fühlt man sich wie in einem Aquarium mit vielen bunten Fischen und Korallen, man muss nicht weit raus schwimmen.

Alles klopt, de kamers, het uitzicht, de faciliteiten, het personeel, het restaurant, het koraalrif voor het hotel Ik zeg dit niet snel, maar ik zou hier echt nog eens naar toe teruggaan. Als ik iets moet noemen, dan is het dat de WIFI wel eens kort haperde. Maar goed, dan ben ik echt aan het zoeken.
- Valérie (10/5): Magnifique hôtel luxueux tout confort et avec une âme authentique! - Très gros coup de coeur pour ce petit hôtel "boutique" installé dans un ancien palais. Le lieu est absolument magique, très paisible et à taille humaine (6 chambres/villas), avec une équipe aux petits soins. Le cadre est magnifique avec une vue imprenable sur l'océan et un accès direct à la mer. De quoi admirer sereinement les levers et couchers de soleil ! Chambres et villas très confortables et très propres Très bon massage, au son de l'océan ! Magnifique piscine à débordement. Nous avons apprécié aussi le restaurant de l'hôtel qui cuisine les produits du potager et du verger! Nous étions en famille et avons pu facilement rejoindre à pied la plage de Lipah Beach toute proche et parfaite pour nos débuts en snorkeling ! Nous avions réservé deux nuits mais sommes partis à regret car nous aurions bien prolongé le séjour !

Seru la manager et son équipe st fantastiques et vous aident à organiser tout ce que vous souhaitez. Je recommande vivement cet endroit pour séjourner à Amed. La cuisine n’est pas fantastique en dehors des petits déjeuners qui st très bons et frais.

- Helen (9/5): Quiet and relaxed blissful stay - This is a very quiet and private property, away from the road and right on the sea. The sunrises are well worth getting up for! The restaurant leading onto the pool area is super inviting with a killer view (just ask Brandon, the resident pooch). The staff (special shout out to Bary, Jesika, Seri, & night Mike) here are wonderful and made our stay feel very special. Some great touches - water is supplied from an on-site 60m well so we could drink the tap water. We were able to snorkel right off the back of the property at high tide. You could loll about in the pool all day it is so warm. At breakfast we were always offered more juice/fruit/coffee/food and we usually received a whole loaf of bread to ourselves (and assured our leftovers were not wasted). The owner Derk was onsite during our visit and he makes a point of personally greeting all his guests. The restaurant serves good food if you don’t feel like going further afield, but there are also plenty of warungs within walking distance. The villa was a great place to come home to every day. We had the master sea view villa which had way more room than we needed (we didn’t use the separate lounge/TV room at all) and the bathroom is not air conditioned, but the bedroom and open air sitting room overlooking the water were great. As were the resident geckos!

Our villa with its own private pool was lovely and we loved going to the restaurant for meals because of the wonderful space overlooking the infinity pool and the ocean, not to mention the delicious food! The staff were always friendly and attentive and we enjoyed all the activities we participated in - snorkelling, sunset sail and massages

The 20m pool was great to relax and exercise in. There is a small table which overlooks the sea which is great for a candlelit dinner. The staff were attentive and went above and beyond to anticipate our needs. Each room had a separate walking area for clothes allowing for greater space to relax in the bedrooms. We were able to thoroughly recharge our batteries in this tranquil villa. We co back again without hesitation. Absolutely no complaints

The owner was very present and loved to give his opinion about everything (for example: why we can’t trust regular taxi drivers in Bali and that people always try to book one. And not with them in the hotel (the taxi drivers are pricey in the hotel!). CHECK THE BILL!! Because they charge more money: we payed half of the price in advantage, but was still on the bill. The price was more than te booking.com price.

- Alexandra (10/5): A very special place to spend with friends and family. The staff were absolutely excellent. - The facilities were lovely. The staff were fantastic. I would definitely recommend this property. I cant think of anything.
- Marco (7/5): Beautiful view on the ocean, but expensive - This villa and its pool have a wonderful view on the ocean in a isolated and very relaxing position. + pool with a wonderful view + very calm and relaxing place + friendly staff + very nice places for diving/snorkeling at just few minutes by car - room not properly maintained (various defects in the bathroom) - insufficient quality of the breakfast - there is no beach in front of the hotel (some reviews are misleading). Beaches are reachable by car in a few minutes - in general, prices are too high (e.g. the cost of a driver to move to another place is much higher than the market prices) Summarizing, we found the price/quality ratio unsatisfactory.

- Fiona (10/5): A gem of a hotel - friendly, peaceful, beautiful location - our favourite stay in Bali - Such a peaceful location overlooking the sea, wonderful service, food was delicious, a lovely family feel to this hotel. A great place for some r&r. Massages, laundry, drivers - all easily arranged. We went to Amed to snorkle, sadly the sea conditions were not great when we were there so there was no snorkelling - just worth considering that if that's your reason for coming here. Property is a bit out of Amed so you will need a driver to get there.

- Veenu (10/5): Quiet and relaxing beach getaway with everything you need to slow down and enjoy - The location was perfect. We were right on the beach and listened to the sounds of the waves every night. The staff were so warm and welcoming. They were kind and able to help us with any question we had. The food was excellent and we really enjoyed being able to swim laps in the pool as well as do a little morning yoga because they had mats available. The weather wasn't ideal but that wasn't their fault. If the staff could control that, I know they would have changed the weather since they went above and beyond to make the stay special.
- Christian (10/5): Exceptional - Staff was amazing. Snorkelling in front of the hotel was fantastic. The Dutch owners were very friendly and focussed on helping the local community (drilling well and giving away free drinking water) and have written a book on plastic waste and the problems it causes.
- Nadine (10/5): Wonderful - Everybody was so kind and friendly! The infinity pool and view are amazing. You can directly access the sea for snorkling or a walk along the shore to small Bunutan beach (stony). The restaurant is very good, but there are also Warungs nearby. Nothing to complain
- Jessica (10/5): A gem . Truly magnificent - Like a smaller Amankila , Bukit Segara is truly magnificent. Enjoyed the privacy in the sprawling grounds and closeness to sea shore. Room is very highly maniatained with top cleanliness and attention to details. Lots of natural light in bathroom. I felt like it's my own residence- pool to myself , pop into the kitchen for coffee and fruits. Barefoot the entire 2 days stay. A very high quality resort. Much needed rest for me.
- Max (10/5): Great stay with the utmost friendly staff!! - Unbelievably friendly staff and the perfect location directly in front of a beautiful coral reef! the rooms are very spacious and offer everything you need. from our point of view, the best hotel we have been on Bali so far. especially if you consider the value for money aspect!! highly recommended!

Cappuccino came from a sachet and staff couldn’t make it with warm foamy milk themselves. Quote: ‘We don’t do that’ It would be great if the terras on the seaside would have nice chairs. And the couch there and in front of the house would have had nice and clean covers.

- Mathias (10/5): The most beautiful and relaxing place of our vacation - The location is spectacular, right by the sea. It is a very beautiful and relaxing place, with both beautiful sunrises and sunsets. The staff is lovely and very helpful and the dutch owner is such a pleasant fellow. He showed us around and even gave us a little history education while doing so.

- Alexander (10/5): Exclusive, wonderful and relaxing - Wonderful exclusive premises, the staff is very friendly and helpful and always there when you need them. Being in the Villa Bukit Segara feels like home only nicer. Wonderful snorkeling can be done directly in front of the villa. The owner is an inspiring personality who will always be there if you need any advice. nothing.
