Rooms were very comfortable and the common spaces outstanding - especially the expansive outdoor balcony. Breakfast was super tasty and filling.

Davyd (1/5): Terrible. Misleading information. Would never have booked otherwise. - Absolutely nothing. Where do you start? The description of the property and facilities is a fantasy. From no wifi, to the mattress that was inches lower on one side from your partner. Air conditioning prevented from going below 71F. Toilet pan stained brown, chrome shower head, also terrible staining. When water was run in both bath and washbasin it smelt of drains. Was told by the owner that a chair was broken in our room, so please don't sit on it! The room balcony covered in leaves. Lights on the outside steps shone through the balcony doors all night. No tea/coffee in the room. We did not stay three nights. Checked out the first morning noticing pet dog wandering in the kitchen whilst preparing breakfast! Food hygiene?

Stephanie helped us plan our activities for the day and made us feel very comfortable and welcomed at her place. they have guests who have been coming there for years!
MADALINA (10/5): - My family and I had an amazing experience here over the weekend. We have tried their in-house breakfast, to go breakfast on the day we skied and their dinner. My kids loved the board games, we loved the wine evenings they so graciously extended before dinner and the entire family appreciated the two dogs on the property. We will absolutely come back! My only slight complaint would be that due to how the house was build one can hear everything upstairs (our room was downstairs) and so we had to wake up quite early even on the day we were not skiing due to the noise. I believe that smaller rooms are upstairs where it might be more quiet. The hosts are lovely and the location is in the middle of nowhere so there is a lot of privacy. It took us about 30 minutes to get to Dodge Ridge for skiing - for reference. I also need to mention that we forgot some articles of clothing at the property and the host offered to mail it back to us. She called and emailed and was incredibly gracious. We will for sure come back!

SHIRLEY (8/5): Highly recommend if you have no issues with stairs - Our stay was just lovely and it would have been perfect except the property has so many stairs. We are 76 and 78 and lugging our belongings up and down stairs (particularly outside) was difficult. But if that is not an issue for you it is a wonderful inn, even during the time of Covid. It is clean, safe, and very comfortable. And the breakfast's are 5 star!

Verified traveler (8/5): Disappointing - The staff was friendly, the breakfast was fabulous and the Blue Room was lovely and as pictured. However, the B n B is across from the highway and the loud traffic noise was annoying, especially when we sat on the deck or balcony. The queen size bed was comfortable, but too small for us. We had a hard time sleeping because the room was very light at night, due to the exterior lighting on the grounds. We were also disappointed that there is a fence around the property, so we couldn't go for a walk in the woods.

Was a good 1 hour drive to the entrance to the park, but it was worth the drive. The owner was very friendly and very helpful and gave us quicker directions to get to the park than what google maps tells you to go. Breakfast was awesome, and we met some cool people. I would definitely stay here again.

I went straight to hotels.com to see when a room would be available. Everything was as wonderful as my memory told me! I guarantee that it won't be another 15 years before we stay there again!

katy (10/5): You have to stay here!! - Our experience at McCaffrey house Bed and breakfast was excellent! Stephanie was the best host. She stayed up late to greet us when we arrived (our GPS took us the wrong way). She even made us a breakfast to-go the next day because we left early for Yosemite. Her house is an hour away from the park. Don't listen to your gps! It'll take you the wrong way. Follow the instructions she gives you. The room was perfect! Amazing bathroom and beds. Super comfortable. The sit down breakfast was to die for! She made bacon, potatoes, an egg casourol, and biscuits. When we come back to Yosemite, we will definitely stay with her again!
Verified traveler (10/5): Delicious Breakfast! - Stephanie is a great host. The house and grounds are beautiful! The breakfast is delicious! I stayed in room 7 and woke up to a beautiful and private view of the forest behind. It's about 80 minutes from the 120 gate to Yosemite.
min (10/5): Lovely bed and breakfast in Sierra Mountains - Stayed overnight while visiting nearby Yosemite. We were able to visit nearby pinecrest lake where we spent a beautiful day with our 4 year old. Hotel itself is clean and staff is friendly. Comfortable stay.
Joshua (10/5): Amazing service and locale - We came in very late, well past check in time, and the staff stayed up well past their usual hours for us. They were absolutely wonderful. We felt terrible that we caused such a inconvenience for them, but with the fire in the nearby county, it was difficult to arrive ontime; they didn't have to do what they did, but they did it anyway, and that's what we appreciated the most. Definitely worth the stay and will do so again in the future.

Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel to reach to Yosemite park - It is 2 hours drive to the Yosemite park. They made breakfast early in the morning to bring with us. We leave 6:00 and then we got visitor parking.

Diane (10/5): Outstanding Inn. - McCaffrey's is one of our all time favorites. Stephanie and her staff are wonderful. The attention to detail is amazing. As an example, a couple days before our arrival she called to ask me if I wanted her to make dinner reservations for us for the night we were to arrive since it was Valentine's Day. We stayed for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed every second. We definitely plan to go back soon.

Richard (10/5): High quality and friendly place to stay - This all the reviews say it is and more. Lovely location, excellent and personal service, good food and very comfortable. Some aspects of the room might benefit from a refresh (pillow for example) but by no means a significant issue. This is well located for trips out including Yosemite and the village is a delight with excellent choice of places to eat.

Verified traveler (10/5): Bed and breakfast in nice peaceful setting - Very nice bed and breakfast Nice room friendly staff Breakfast was nice and had two options of sittings 7.30 or 9am and served when we sat down. Breakfast was nicely presented, well cooked but the combination of sweet with savoury would not have been our choice but think was an American favourite. The host and the 'help' (as referred to by the host) were friendly and went out of their way to please. The dog very friendly and I am still very envious of his fortnightly pampering sessions which included a massage nails, teeth and a spa. Likely the help are too!

Verified traveler (8/5): - The hotel is hidden in the hill near the road. The scene is beautiful and the hosts are hospitable. The house is well furnished. The bedroom cleanness is ok, but the bathroom is good. Shower is comfortable despite the drought in the hill. I recommend foreign tourists stay in such a hotel, because it is a wonderful opportunity to get familiar with American family.
Mark (10/5): Warm and cozy place in the woods - The McCaffrey house is a cozy spot a bit over an hour and a half drive from Yosemite. On the day we arrived it was too late to head on into Yosemite, Ms McCaffrey gave us great advice on what we could do with the time we had available. We ended up seeing a lovely stand of Sequoia Trees and eating in an amazing restaurant called Alchemy. It's always great to draw on the knowledge of a local, and enjoy a comfortable place rather than a crowded hotel.

Verified traveler (10/5): Amazing location and very restfull - This b&b is set in an hour idilic location and you can enjoy breakfast from the balcony and feel you are in the middle of a forest. Very friendly and helpful host who has menus for all the levels cal restaurents allowing you to choice and then provided directs to the one chosen. Parking on site and nice little touches around the accomodation. Would recommend to anybody who is going to be in the area. Great base to visit Yosemite or travel to San Francisco.
