- Louisa (8/5): - Direkt an der Lagune. Vom Pool aus hat man eine traumhafte Aussicht. Ebenso gibt es einen Steg und wenn man früh genug dran ist hat man diesen für sich alleine :) Das Essen war super lecker und die Portionen waren rießig. Also eigentlich hätte locker eine Portion für 2 Leute gereicht. Ebenso kann man das Personal immer nach einem Eimer mit Eiswürfeln bitten. Ein Taxi in die Stadt kostet 80 pesos und kann direkt an der Bar angefordert werden. Das Hotel war wirklich wunderschön. :) Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen Personal war manchmal etwas langsam Die Handtücher am Pool waren eig immer leer wurden einen auf Anfrage aber immer sofort gebracht. Es fehlt leider wirklich ein Kühlschrank im Zimmer Und als Hinweis ... der Supermarkt gegenüber hat geschlossen
- fiona (10/5): Extraordinaire, merci! - Super hôtel!! Très joli, très confortable, le personnel est adorable et aux petits soins sans en faire trop. Tout est étudié dans le détail pour que l’expérience soit au top et elle l’est. La vue sur la lagune est magnifique, super terrasse dans la chambre avec vue. Baignoire avec vue au top. Le cadre est vraiment charmant. Le personnel est super gentil, souriant et serviable. (On a eu un problème de voiture et ils nous ont aidé avec beaucoup de gentillesse sous 35 degrés, sans compter leur temps ni leur investissement alors qu’on était déjà quasiment partis…c’est rare!).
- Odile (10/5): Séjour de rêve dans un lieu hors du temps… - L’emplacement est superbe, à l’entrée de Bacalar. L’accès à la lagune est très agréable. La terrasse avec la piscine est aussi très appréciable. L’hôtel est très beau et nous avions une très belle vue de notre suite. Le restaurant est délicieux et nous recommandons la pêche du jour en croûte de sel… Les petits déjeuners sont aussi magnifiques et bons. Le personnel est au petit soin. Il y a une construction en cours à côté. Cela ne nous a pas dérangé pour le bruit car dans la journée nous n’étions pas à l’hôtel mais il serait bien de prévoir une façon de cacher la vie du chantier notamment de notre suite (12) en mettant des brises vue.

- Philipp (7/5): Zu teuer - Das Personal ist sehr nett und die Anlage ist in einem guten Zustand. Der Blick auf die Lagune ist natürlich toll. Die Lage. Wenn man auf der Durchreise ist, ist es sicherlich sehr gut weil man sehr unkompliziert direkt davor parken kann. Aber für alle anderen Zwecke isr es suboptimal. Es ist weder so ruhig gelegen wie viele andere Hotels, noch direkt an der Stadt, sodass man dort zu Fuß hingehen kann. Direkt neben den Hotels sind angrenzende Häuser bzw. eine Baustelle. Darüberhinaus hört man ständig die Straße. Das nimmt dem Ganzen etwas Charme und die Ruhe. Die Betten sind leider zu klein für zwei Personen. Es gibt zwei einzelne Zimmer direkt an der Lagune, die sicher herausstechen, aber die restlichen Zimmer halte ich für den Preis für ziemlich überteuert.
- Edit (9/5): El personal excelente, la habitación muy bonita. - La habitación muy linda, pero me pareció difícil la entrada a la misma ya que hay una puerta corrediza y un mosquitero que al abrirse da a una lámpara de pie, casi siempre chocábamos con esa lámpara. El desayuno es sabroso pero a pesar del calor que hay en el lugar y que viene tapado con campana, llegó frío, eso le quita mucho para que se disfrute.

- Charlie (5/5): Ok hotel but there are much better locations and amenities in the lagoon. - Close to the Ado bus station. Food was very good. The restaurant never answered the phone for room service. The room did not have ANY comfortable chairs for sitting or eating. Partial lagoon view also has a terrible view of local homes next door. Bar is hidden in back and not any place you can enjoy the views. Staff was ok but did not always complete requests. I couldn’t get additional bottles of water that I asked for twice.

- Raquel (10/5): Paradise in Bacalar - Everything was perfect. The room is beautiful, just like the pictures. It was very comfortable, and the deck in front of the room was our favourite spot. The food was excellent!! We did not want to leave the hotel because we felt like we were at home. An extra-large bed would be make it even more perfect.

Un air de paradis , donnant directement sur la lagune Nous avons eu la chance d’un surclassement dans une chambre avec un balcon (et vue jardin.) (Attention aux chambres en rez de chaussée ) Grande amabilité du staff , également pour réserver les taxis et les excursions Petit déjeuner commandé à 8h qui n’était toujours pas livré à 8h25. Toasts parfois succincts. Un peu éloigné du centre historique de Bacalar, et donnant sur la grande route un peu sonore. (Mais les taxis pour y accéder très accessibles : 2€ par trajet!)

- Holly (10/5): Amazing, best location and stay - Couldn't fault our stay, it was perfect! The location is in the best spot along the water and just a 10 minute drive into town. There is a whole lot to do in town, so it was great to be by the lagoon. Staff were incredible and the food was amazing. My only criticism would be the aircon made the room smell a bit mouldy, however, I also noticed this in all our accomodation in Mexico so I don't believe it was exclusive to this hotel.

- Oya (9/5): - Very friendly staff and an amazing chef and kitchen. We tried a couple of places in the city centre, but the best food was at the hotel. We stayed in two different rooms upstairs, and both were excellent. The hotel itself was very nice, right on the lake, and close to the main attractions. For the lagoon boat tour, they picked us up directly from the hotel, which was very convenient. Overall, our experience was great. The only downside was a bit of traffic noise in the back room we stayed in, as the hotel is close to the highway.

- Ian (5/5): Hmmm. Could’ve been so much better - Beautiful view, clean, good sized suite. This hotel is almost but not quite. It could be so much better with more attention to detail and less on the superficial niceties. The suite itself is clean, spacious with great views over the lake. The majority of the rooms run along the side of the building overlooking a truly ugly old motel style monstrosity. The ground floor rooms seemed have little privacy with their baths in clear sight, a metre ir two from the only thoroughfare connecting the hotel. Very weird. They use WhatsApp as their only communication with guests and wait times can be very hit and miss. It took 20 minutes and a chase from me to get some ice. The room whilst spacious, only had 4 clothes hangers and when requesting more, looked surprised when we requested 15 more. Eventually 8 arrived. Bearing in mind the wardrobe is over a metre wide. Why not simply supply more. Especially as we were staying for three nights. Lastly in respect to the room, why isn’t there a fridge….. They also don’t provide additional towels as standard for use by the pool. The ones in the room barely cover the back of the sunbed. Using the WhatsApp to request more. Tumbleweed. So once again I had to physically collect two myself from reception. My final gripe would be not having breakfast as standard,

- Alexandre (7/5): Amazing beautiful hotel, style over substance! Need to improve their food offering! - Beautiful hotel, exactly like the pictures! Unfortunately, style over substance was what we found. The food was really not a great experience, which is a shame! This could really have been the perfect place if the food was good. The first night, everything looked extremely overcooked or reheated. The crab meat was super dry and brown, all the vegetables were dehydrated like when you put them without water on the microwave. The medium rare steak was extra well done. Guac and short rib tacos were good so that was the only thing we had when we ate at the hotel. They also double booked the private dinner experience on the day I booked months in advance for a special occasion and did NOTHING to compensate for having other people taking our place.

- Joyce Bautista (10/5): Un lugar Mágico - El hotel es hermoso, se respira una calma y tranquilidad excepcionales, el personal del hotel es de lo más gentil y amables, la comida del lugar es riquísima, nos hicieron upgrade y eso se agradece enormemente. Las habitaciones son preciosas, limpias,con los acabados y diseño que te hacen sentir en una atmósfera caribeña y relajada, las sábanas y almohadas se sentían de la mejor calidad para poder dormir. Las vistas a la laguna que tiene el hotel son magnificas! Sin duda volvería a regresar a este hotel. Lo único que podríamos decir, es el ruido de la tipo sisterna de agua, cada que alguien utilizaba el agua en la habitación vecina se activaba y en ocasiones en la noche el ruido podía ser ligeramente molesto, Pero nada que nos pudiera perturbar nuestra excelente estancia.

From the warm greetings to the thoughtful assistance, every interaction reflected a deep commitment to hospitality. The noise every night above our room was a bit disturbing.

- Camila (10/5): - We had an amazing time at Puerta del Cielo ! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel so welcome and went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. They even upgraded our room, which was such a wonderful surprise and the view was absolutely stunning! We tried everything on the restaurant menu, and every dish was delicious. The food was so good that when we checked out, we made sure to congratulate the chef personally, it was truly fantastic! The team was incredibly friendly, kind, and helpful, organizing everything we asked for . From jet ski rides and boat tours to a beautiful dinner on the Palapa. Every detail was taken care of with such care and attention. It was an amazing stay from start to finish, and we can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Bacalar!

Hier kann man schön zur Ruhe kommen - wir hatten ein tolles Zimmer mit Blick auf die Lagune (kostenloses Zimmerupgrade!). Das Personal ist zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Wir haben vom Hotel aus eine schöne Bootstour unternommen. Außerdem war das Essen hervorragend (gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis) und der Koch sehr freundlich! Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen 😊 Nichts

- Marco (9/5): Piccolo angolo di paradiso per occhi e palato a Bacalar - Struttura molto pulita e curata, personale cortese, nota di merito alla cucina dello chef Luis. Piatti eccezionali sia per colazione che per snack che per cena. Consigliatissimi Aguachile e Ceviche, ma anche i tacos. Probabilmente miglior ristorante della zona. Non offre servizi ad eccezione della ristorazione, camere leggermente buie, miscelatore della doccia da migliorare (acqua calda e fredda). Le ventole dell’aria condizionata in zona piscina risultano fastidiose e rumorose.

- BETTINELLI (9/5): Séjour sublime, Bacalar est magnifique et cet hôtel aussi ! - La vue est magnifique, nous vous recommandons la chambre avec le balcon à l’étage qui a la meilleure vue sur le lagon. Le personnel est très aimable et serviable. Nous avons passé un super moment pour notre voyage de noce. L’hôtel est un peu loin du centre, mais si vous avez une voiture en 5/10 mins vous y êtes.

Un po’ lontana dal centro. Mancava una vera e propria reception. Sarebbe stata apprezzata una doccia nella zona piscina.

- Lode (9/5): - Prachtig kleinschalig hotel met smaakvol interieur! Vriendelijk onthaal door alle personeelsleden. Het private-diner onder de palapa was fantastisch: een zeer leuke setting met een verfijnde en smaakvolle keuken. We hadden oa de catch of the day genomen en deze werd door de chef aan tafel ontdaan van de zoute korst en gefileerd. Niets, enkel het weer viel tegen- regenachtige dag waardoor we het zwembad niet uitgetest hebben. Nachtelijk lawaai wel van de buren…
