• joalem (10/5): A good choice especially for travelers that don’t expect perfection, well priced for the accommodations and location - This property is smaller and does not offer the amenities of a resort like property yet it offers what a person needs for accommodations while visiting the San Juan area. It is within walking distance to the beach, adjacent to a very safe neighborhood while also within walking distance to numerous eateries. It is a short Uber ride from the airport and a short Uber ride into old town San Juan and some of the excursions, such as boat tours on the east side of the island, offer a pick up location just a block away. The property has a very small pool and coffee/tea service but is not a “resort” with an exercise room, restaurant, etc. It is not fancy yet it is well-maintained and clean the staff is super friendly and helpful. The water pressure was great in the shower, and the in room air-conditioning unit worked sufficiently. You can hear noise from the road as the hotel is on a daily busy street. This is a good choice for a budget, friendly, conveniently located hotel especially if someone does not want to rent a car. If you are looking for a fancy, super updated, “everything just right” posh type place, this is not it. If looking for convenient location and budget friendly, this is a great choice.

The location is great - so close to beach, restaurants, bars, convenience stores - everything you need. We paid the extra $50 for beach chairs, cooler and umbrella which was well worth it. All staff were super friendly!
• Bex8890 (10/5): Spa like hotel - We unfortunately only stayed one night here. Don’t let the exterior fool you- the hotel is lovely! The staff are all very friendly and welcoming! The koi pond was calming. Small Pool But did the job. Very clean public areas as well as the rooms. Rooms had mini bars with affordable prices. Sun block was available as well as beach coolers and mats to use on the beach. A/c was so cold! And shower had great pressure and hot water. Many tv channels available for free. Ice, water, coffee and tea available 24/7 in charming sitting area.

The property was clean, comfortable, and exactly what we needed for a relaxed pre-cruise stay. One of the highlights was the rooftop deck. We enjoyed a glass of wine there while watching our daughter’s flight arrive—such a special and unexpected moment. The rooftop space is peaceful and offers great views, making it a perfect spot to unwind after traveling. The location was convenient, the atmosphere was calm and welcoming, and everything was just as described. Dream Inn PR was an excellent choice for us, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again or recommend it to others staying in San Juan before a cruise.

The rooms are clean and comfortable and the location can't be beat--two short blocks to the beach and walkign to all great restos. But what really stood out to us was the beautiful common areas and the incredible hospitality of the staff, all the front desk staff and a special shout out to Jorge! They let us store our luggage there and use their rooftop all day long after check out. Really a bonus and worth booking for that alone. But also, the hospitality is what makes you come back to a place, what makes it feel like home away from home. and Dream Inn is really killing it in going above and beyond. Thank you!! We will be back.

• 801dylanj (10/5): Wonderful family-run hotel in the heart of Ocean Park - My girlfriend and I stayed at Dream Inn for several days over the Christmas holiday and had a wonderful time. Sham and his son Gautam made us feel right at home, with great amenities (filtered water, coquito, and sunscreen in the lobby, beach gear for borrow) and recommendations for exploring the area. We went to Kasalta three times during our visit, and saw most of the stops on their Old San Juan walking tour. There are lots of other restaurants within walking distance of the hotel too. The rooms were clean and well insulated from noise, both from other rooms and outside. I would definitely stay here if I visit the area again.

Everything is within a 10 minute drive and there's free parking! Customer service from Jorge is excellent, and you are steps from a very pretty beach. We were a little tight in the room with three of us (two parents plus one teenager) but the price was very fair for the level of service, amenities, and location.

Our room was perfect, very clean, with a comfortable bed and a nice view. We've stayed at the Dream Inn much longer in the past and always found it to be great. I love going to the roof and just enjoying the serenity of the evening. The staff is excellent and very helpful.

Koi are adorable, roof deck is nice, hammock outside our room was cozy. Abundant hot water which can sometimes be an issue in San Juan. My only suggestion would be to make the coffee available in the lobby a little earlier, since it wasn’t ready until 9:30ish when we were there. A small quibble at an otherwise great spot.

The rooms were clean and well-maintained. Had all the amenities I wanted, save for maybe a microwave. Heavy rains were not a concern as I didn't see any leaks. Good location: next to many good restaurants and shops, between the airport and Old San Juan, along bus lines, safe neighborhood. Lots of businesses nearby, although there aren't crosswalks on the road, so crossing the street can be challenging. Plenty of restaurants, and the staff is happy to provide recommendations.

I had it in the back of my mind to write a review. Finally got to it. Sorry guys it took so long. Absolute perfection. Ideally located to have the ritualistic breakfast, cafe con leche and one quesito at Kasalta. Most importantly: meticulously clean. They are customer-service oriented and accommodating. Exceedingly well managed, and family-run. I'll be back. Thank you.

We arrived super late and I was so happy to see a bottle of wine on the room ( for purchase). The vibe I got was so boho fairy tale. I hate to explore the property even at 2 am. Highly recommend. My 6 year old was treated like a princess!!!
• Roland (8/5): - I stayed here for one night. I had to do a self-service check-in since I arrived after 11 PM. The hotel is in a good neighborhood, close to the Ocean Park beach. The room had a comforable bed and solid bathroom with strong shower pressure. I do not recommend getting a room along the street. It's noisy at night and in the morning. There is no breakfast, but there are a few restaurants and bakery close (Kasalta and Lela's).

• tiff000 (10/5): Perfect - We stayed here for 1 night. Free Parking onsite was available and first come first serve, but we had no issues coming and going. This was a huge plus especially in San Juan. The hotel staff, Jorge, was very welcoming, immediately offering us water or coffee upon arrival. We had an early flight and our room was ready way before check in time, very accommodating. He went over local restaurants, helped us with any questions we had and asked if we wanted help booking excursions or activities. The hotel provided a discount for eating at a local bakeries and we ate there twice. The hotel decor is very calming, and peaceful. The pool is small but very pretty. The area is near the beach, walking distance. My only con is that at night you can hear all the traffic from outside, and if you have a street side room it could be difficult to sleep. Water pressure is a little low but no issues with hot water. Everything was great for our 1 night stay. They also had water tea and coffee available 24/7. The hotel is very secure, you cannot get in or out without a scanned key card!! Love it. I could travel here solo! They can hold your bags and let you use the amenities as well, with a clean outside bathroom available too. Thanks for having us and making us feel welcomed after a very early flight! This is a great spot and a great price as well.

• johannah546 (8/5): Backpacker vibe in a beautiful space - We only stayed one night and picked it because it was close to the airport, but I was pleasantly surprised by how lovely and calm the space was. Beautiful architecture, friendly staff with a bit of that backpacker vibe (laid back, self service coffee in lobby, rules about quiet hours, etc). Good food in the neighborhood. Not as close to all the attractions but not that far either. If you have a car it’s a really good place to call home in San Juan, but the neighborhood itself isn’t as central to attractions as being in Old San Juan.

• sP523 (10/5): Good, clean, recommend. - Friendly staff. George was very kind and explained all information with great clarity. Rooms were spotless. Bed was not very comfortable. We felt safe. Rooftop view was spectacular! Airport was 12 min away. Easy checkout. We were there for one night before leaving to go back home. I would stay there again.
• Verified traveler (2/5): I got sick and lied to - This was my second stay at this property. The first stay was lovely. This time, when we walked in, the room smelled very odd. The AC is six inches from the bed, and the options are for it to blow odd-smelling air directly on you all night or turn it off and sweat. Further, there is black mold in the bathroom. I would not advise anyone to stay here, as we got a terrible night's sleep, and I had an awful cough for two days. It felt, looked, and smelled very unhealthy. We checked in after 11pm, and there was no staff on site. If there had been, I would have refused the room. When I brought the conditions to staff's attention, they apologized and offered 50% off my next stay. I kindly requested that this be applied to this past stay, and they let me know they were only unable to do so because it was billed through a third party. When Hotels.com called them, they claimed I had never raised an issue with the room and they had no idea what I was talking about regarding the mold. Mind you, I have all of the above in writing, as the entire exchange took place via email. I travel a lot -- I stayed in six hotels in March alone. Running a hotel is difficult, and I appreciate that. This is the first time in all my months and years of travel I've ever felt unsafe enough to ask for my money back. Bottom line, don't stay here. You'll probably get sick, and they'll definitely lie to you at some point.

We enjoyed the several restful spaces, including the inviting lobby with just the right beverage offerings, the roof patio and the small but refreshing pool. We greatly appreciated the thoughtful design and amenities. The convenient access to the beach and Coffeetera is a plus.
• jygale3 (10/5): Cute and Perfect Location--would stay again! - Excellent location--walking distance to a gorgeous beach and many delicious food options. The rooms are perfect for couples. Small, but really cute and makes the AC incredibly effective. Rooms were so clean. Great wifi. You also get beach towels included which was great. So convenient to have a balcony for wet clothes at a minimum. The rooftop is really cute as well! The staff were excellent--very helpful and welcoming. The lobby is very welcoming and has lovely incense burning. The check in and check out process is so easy even after hours. There's free parking in front as well. We also loved the outdoor shower to rinse off before heading up to our room. They also offer coolers, beach chairs and umbrellas at an additional cost, which is convenient. Would definitely stay again!

Check in was efficient. The room was cozy but clean. Comfortable bed. Nice size tv. Small patio. Nice hot shower. The area seemed safe. They gave discounts at some restaurants that were a short walk away and quite good. 12 noon checkout, short $15 ride to cruise pier Would definitely stay here again.

• elainefL5632CX (10/5): Wonderful Place to stay! - The staff was very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the room had a nice modern feel. We enjoyed the roof top at night and loved the city view. It is conveniently located near an Italian restaurant called Pirilo who has great pizza and the La Coffeetera has great coffee & breakfast. We walked to the beach and all around and felt safe. It was also easy to use Uber. There are a few parking spots available if you have a car too.

The building is beautiful and clean, with an amazing rooftop and thoughtful amenities like beach mats, coolers, sunscreen for guest use. It's a quick three block walk to the beach. The neighborhood has many good local restaurants/bar options within walking distance. Easy and cheap Uber to get to Old San Juan and the airport. The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful to us, I've never experienced better customer service at a hotel. Would recommend to anybody!
• ItinerantItinerary22 (10/5): thoughtful, comfortable, and well-situated - I loved my stay at Dream Inn. It’s a great first stop when traveling to Puerto Rico - nearby to the beach, a few excellent restaurants, and a Walgreens for sundries you might have forgotten. It’s a small inn, and not overly luxurious, but all of the amenities are available: a small pool in back with outdoor shower for rinsing off (or rinsing off the beach before you go to your room). The roof deck has a hammock, umbrella, and tables for spending some time outside your room. Nimu checked me in, and she was thorough and very competent at handling my use of a different credit card at arrival than the one i’d booked with. Ubers are easy to come by and affordable to visit Santurce, Old San Juan, or Condado. I’d definitely stay here again.

• 1EricaMR (10/5): Clean, comfortable, and the most helpful staff! - This was a lovely place for a few nights in San Juan! The staff was incredibly accommodating, even when we arrived late and misplaced our check-in instructions, I had them again in my email within minutes! Then trying to figure out transportation during the busiest festival of the year, the staff was always there to make it easier. The room was comfortable, AC worked great, and there was a wonderful roof deck. Close to some cute restaurants but not in a crazy busy part of down, Dream Inn was the perfect spot for our quick trip!
• Nomad25746432800 (10/5): Cute boutique hotel with friendly staff - This is a cute boutique hotel a few easy blocks from the beach in a neighborhood with cafes and restaurants and a Walgreen’s nearby. The hotel has a very friendly and accommodating staff. The room was clean and charming and a little quirky, but we stayed one night before a cruise and really enjoyed being so close to the beach. There’s a lovely rooftop terrace and a small pool - it’s not a big property, but everything you could need for a short stay. The room had a refrigerator and water, juice and coffee were available in the lobby, which is indoor/outdoor with a little pond. If you like the feel of a boutique hotel, this is a good one.
• myert2018 (10/5): What a Beautiful Dream - The hospitality is stupendous, the room is fantastic, the staff is like family, and the common area is magnificent. It is two blocks from the beach and the cost is minimal. If there is a better place than the Dream Inn I would be very surprised.
• Fearless550164 (10/5): Lovely stay! - A wonderful and quiet stay in an interestingly designed hotel. The hotel is rustic and at the same time elegant. It has a lovely wading pool and roof deck. It’s impeccably clean and you hardly hear your fellow guests. The staff is always available and very helpful. Walking distance to Dulce Salado, a wonderful restaurant, and Ocean Park beach.
• Michelle (10/5): An oasis - You will feel relax the moment you enter the gate, it’s like an oasis. Staff/front desk was so engaging, friendly and knowledgeable. Location is great, just few walk to the beach and restaurants.

• Alice (9/5): Beautiful building in a convenient location in a lively, busy part of town. - Location and architecture was wonderful. The pool was a nice bonus - it was very cool and refreshing. The street is very loud, we often would hear loud cars and people throughout the night.
