• Robert (8/5): Hervorragende Küche und toller Service – absolut empfehlenswert - Ich wurden vom Personal sehr freundlich und herzlich begrüsst. Das Essen war wirklich lecker und die Küche begeisterte mit einer tollen Vielfalt an verschiedenen Speisen im Menü. Die Portionen des 6-Gang-Menüs sind zwar eher klein gehalten, aber das ist gar kein Problem: Man darf sich jederzeit gerne Nachschlag bestellen, was wir klasse fanden. Ein weiteres Highlight war zu sehen, wie der Chef persönlich am Morgen das Frühstücksbuffet kontrollierte – das zeigt echte Leidenschaft für Qualität. Ich kommen sehr gerne wieder. Die Hunde sind herzlich willkommen, es gibt sogar Tücher um sie zu trocknen. Der Spa Bereich war toll. Zu empfehlen:) Danke euch Das Zimmer war herzig ;) dafür mit Balkon.

• Tanja (7/5): - Lage, Essen und Wellnessbereich waren sehr schön. Die Zimmer sind jedoch geschmacklich ein bisschen in den 70iger Jahren hängen geblieben. Im Einzelzimmer ein sehr schmales Bett, orangen-farbene Gardienen und gelbe Bettwäsche haben mich an eine Rehaklinik erinnert. Das Personal war extrem freundlich und zuvorkommend! The staff were really super friendly. The food was exceptional every single night. The beds were really comfortable and everywhere was spotlessly clean. We’d highly recommend and definitely stay again. The spa was an added bonus. They photographs really didn’t do it justice. All the facilities were absolutely brilliant huge big sauna steam room. The swimming pool was gorgeous and the treatment massages were fabulous after a long day skiing and the relaxation areas were perfect and we mustn’t forget the cakes every afternoon when we got back from skiing were fantastic.

Das Personal war immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die falschen Blumen auf den Tischen könnten schöner sein oder weggelassen werden. Die Sperrstunde fand zuweilen zu früh statt.

Das Hotel ist sehr Hunde freundlich, es gibt Frotiertücher für die Vierbeiner bei jedem Eingang, eine Hundetoilette im Vorgarten, eine Matte unter den Fressnapf und eine Kuscheldecke wwie auch Frotiertücher ins Zimmer. Es wird sogar eine Galerie der Hunde zu Besuch im Zimba geführt Der Pool war etwas zu kalt, man hält es nicht lange aus darin... Den Pool 3-4 Grad wärmer heizen Das angebotenen Jausen und Kuchen lässt zu wünschen übrig - wir sind da anderes gewohnt von Östereich - mit richtiger Kuchen-AUSWAHL und nicht vertrocknete Waffeln oder Glace...... Die Mahlzeiten am Abend (Halbpension) sind etwas zu gesund und nicht wirklich östereichisch..... FaZIT sehr kleine Portionen (Nachschlag gibt es), zum Teil geschmacklose Beilagen z.B Buchweizenomelette wie eine Schuhsohle, ETWAS ZU VIEL GESUND Auf Grund der Küche kommen wir kaum wieder

Zepp (8/5): Trotz wenig Schlaf haben wir uns super wohl gefühlt und die Tage im Haus Zimba sehr genossen - Angenehmer Aufenthalt, toll dass das Haus so viele junge Menschen ausbildet, wir wurden von allen sehr gut bedient, informiert, man spürte bei vielen eine warme Herzlichkeit. Der Welnessbereich ist super schön, das Schwimmbad schon früh geöffnet, für Frühaufsteher toll. Saunabereich und Duschen für uns perfekt. leider ist das Hotel in der Nähe der Kirche, man kann kaum bei geöffnetem Fenster schlafen, die Kirchturmglocke schlägt gefühlt dauernd.

Familiär, angenehm und herzlich. - Sehr sympathisches Personal Gutes Essen Gute Lage Sehr gut ausgerüsteter Fitnessraum Angenehme Welnessausstattung Normalerweise gehe ich bei Welnessurlauben davon aus, dass ich einfache Badeschlappen erhalte. Es war für uns ein bisschen mühsam mit den Schuhen, da hätten wir uns die zum Bademantel dazu noch gewünscht :)

• TG-Sevenoaks (10/5): Fantastic hotel - What a superb hotel! Family run, and it had that nice feel about it. About 100 guest. Food was amazing. Service was super efficient but also friendly. Didn’t time it, but a short flat walk, say 5 mins, to main lift. 3 mins to the bus stop. Super gym, pool and sauna. Excellent boot room for skis. Etc. Schrun is a nice little town. We were there for UK half term week. Hardly any queues, hardly any Brits. Would definitely go there again. Ideal for families and couples.
• 155sabinec (10/5): Perfect family holiday - We have just enjoyed another wonderful week at the lovely family run Zimba Hotel, Schruns, Vlbg Austris. 15 of us, from 3 to 75 years old! Friendly and highly professional staff, who were so nice to our 7 grandchildren, who all had a brilliant time. Among other things the children loved the pool and the games room..as well as the skiing of course. . Food was superb. Other guests very pleasant too! Location is very good..rail station and ski hire and ski bus stop just minutes away, as is gondola..max 10 mins on foot even in ski boots. We'll be back!

• Patrizia (6/5): Keine zweite Reise wert / keine 4 Sterne - Das Hotel war vorher ein 3-Stern Hotel, ist nun auf 4-Stern aufgewertet worden. Hält den Standard nicht eines 4-Sterne Hauses. Details wie: Bad ist noch von 19... und sieht man nicht auf den Fotos, war ja klar wieso. Es gibt keine Bodylotion, nur Duschgel auf den Zimmern. Im Wellness-Bereich keine Decken, alles sehr spartanisch, Tee und Wasser, sowie Aepfel. Nüsse oder Weiteres hat man vergebens gesucht. Frühstück hat sehr wenig Auswahl, wenn man Laktose-Intolerant ist, für Veganer oder Vegetarier eher ungeeignet.

• Rolf (10/5): Idealer Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge jeder Art. - Es war unser 6 Aufenthalt im Hotel Zimba. Wie immer wurden wir sehr freundlich empfangen. Die Verpflegung war sehr gut und das Personal freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Hotel ist gut gelegen im Zentrum und nahe beim Bahnhof/busstation.

At breakfast, the menu for the dinner was available and one had to select one of the main dishes you would like to have. Breakfast was excellent and with many local products. Vere good for the local economy and for the environment. The inside swimming pool was very good, also the fitness room and sauna. All people of the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in the center of the town and was very close to the funicular.

• SuefromHitchin (10/5): A delightful little gem. - Our second visit to the Hotel Zimba and can not wait till our third.. Such a lovely family run hotel with super staff. The food was exquisite. We had a super view from our room and there was plenty to do for none skiers.
• Byaniv (10/5): Ski vacation in Schruns - We stayed in Zimba hotel in Schruns for 7 days in January and we loved it! It is a family owned hotel and you feel the personal touch. Everything is very clean and neat. We took the option of half board. The food was fantastic! We felt as we were going to a different gourmet restaurant every night. After ski there was a complimentary snack which was akso excellent. The saunas and a small swimming pool are very well kept up and are great after a day of skiing. The hotel is located only a 5 minute walk from the gondola and in the center of town. We believe that this hotel should be rated 4 stars. One of the most memorable experiences was the encounter with the owners. From the beginning all communication with them before placing the order was very goid and timely. They are very kind, friendly and helpful. When a personal need occurred, they offered us the use their car in order to go to the neighboring town. We are considering to ski again in March in this area and if we do, we will definitely stay in this hotel. Highly recommend!!!

This family hotel has a very friendly and helpful staff, very motivated and in our opinion offers a lot for a 3 stars hotel. We enjoyed the half board accommodation for nearly a week, with good dinner mostly with typical Austrian specialities. Maybe a suggestion would be to keep dishes with fresh fruits and do not mix them with canned fruits, but in general very good overall experience. What we did especially enjoyed was the presence of easygoing guest, not snobbish at all. Maybe the pool is somehow small especially during the late afternoon hours.

• Maverick_MOW (10/5): Excelent Hotel, close to the lifts - We stayed at Zimba for about a week. Hotel is well run, friendly staff, excellent food. Rooms are large and clea. Good wellness area including sauna. The lifts and or the bus stop is 5 min walk away. There is also a playroom with Billiard and table soccer there. Will be back, we hope!
• nonni_1967 (10/5): Best family hotel and ski resort we have visit - We are visiting for the third time next Christmas. Big and clean rooms, excelent food and wonderful staff. Short walk to the lifts. Our first choice when we go skiing with our family. Swimming pool, Sauna and great facilities for kids.
• gymgirl82 (10/5): The Best of the Best!!!!! - I had visited this property from August 20th-26th. The purpose of this trip was to hike in the Montafon Valley with 3 other friends that were also guests of Hotel Zimba. The walk from the train station was roughly 3 minutes. Upon arrival I was pleasantly greeted. Check in was speedy, merely a signature and I was on my way to my room. At check in I notified the staff that I would require a gondola pass for my duration beginning the following day. It was as easy as stopping by the desk the following day and getting before I departed on my adventures in Schruns. The hotel was a wonderful European feel. The room I booked in for was a single. The size was perfect for my needs. Bed was comfortable, lovely balcony area that had a chair and small table, view was looking at wonderful mountains and over the town. The only complaint I had was the guest next door was a smoker, so found I needed to close the door and window as I could smell smoke constantly as he was smoking on his balcony. This hotel was no bearing directly on the hotel. The room was equipped with complimentary wifi, also thru out the hotel grounds this could be found. The bathroom was nice and bright. It also had a magnifying mirror, which I find can be hard to come by in hotels. There was great body wash and hand soap provided. There are safes in the room as well. The breakfasts are very European (which I LOVED)! Something for everyone at the buffet, fresh fruit, eggs, meats, cheeses, oatmeal, fresh bread, juices, pastries and much more. Breakfast begins at 730am. Unfortunately, there is no coffee or coffee maker in the room, however if you are in dire need of a cup, walk back towards the train station (less than 3 minutes) this bakery opens around 6am and serves a great coffee. Dinner was fabulous. Again, impossible to disappoint. Themed dinners nightly. If there is someone in your party with dietary restrictions do not be afraid to ask for another option as this was always available for us at no extra charge. The servers hustle and are ever so friendly. English was limited by some, although we practiced our German and they attempted at English. There is music provided on certain evenings. Wine is available at a low cost, and is very nice. The owners will be seen as is the whole family working from the front desk to clearing tables. Also, if you are still hungry between lunch and dinner there is a snack offered (complimentary) in the bar area daily. The bus terminal is located outside the train station (all buses depart from here). After hiking daily, I enjoyed some relaxation time in the spa area. The spa has 3 types of sauna (temp varies accordingly) and a couple of steam rooms. I will say, as this is Europe, you may find naked men or women in these rooms which I wasn't bothered by as I realized this was quite common. There are robes in your rooms which you can wear down to the spa and pool area. There is a pool area that backs on to a beautiful garden area where many people were enjoying a book or afternoon nap. Since we departed before breakfast was served on our last day, Christian took it upon himself to organize a bagged lunch for our train ride to Italy, at no extra cost. We were blown away!!! Overall, I have been to MANY five star hotels and the customer service is disappointing amongst other things. I have to say, this hotel could not get any better. It is by far top notch! Can't wait to return, hopefully next year!!
• TwinsCanada (10/5): Exceptional Family run Hotel - My wife and I spent 10 days hiking in the Montafon Valley of Austria this August from the 16th to the 25th. We stayed in the village of Schruns at the Hotel Zimba. This family run hotel was recommended by friends, so we knew it would be good, but we were blown away by the level of hospitality, service, helpfulness and overall friendliness of everyone associated with the hotel. The owners and staff truly care about their guests comfort and do all the little things that make a stay exceptional. The room prices include your meals and they are superb, There is a lavish buffet breakfast and varied four course dinners every day. The rooms are quite spacious and nicely decorated, with a usable balcony. They also have single rooms that are half the price of a double. The hotel offers a hike every day, but will also help you plan your own hikes. After a day of hiking and/or sightseeing, you can relax in the hotel's indoor pool, or sooth your muscles in one of the various sauna's or steam rooms. The hotel is centrally located and less than 5 minutes from the bus and train station, so that you can easily access the many hiking trails in the area. The hiking and hotel were so good, we are already thinking about a return trip. The hotel Zimba in Schruns will exceed your expectations, whether you are on a hiking holiday or a ski holiday. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed.
• Thomas (8/5): Welness und Wanderferien - Für entspannte Ferien sowol auch für Aktion ist alles dabei. Das Hotel ist im Zentrum und alles ist zu Fuss oder mit dem Bus bequem erreichbar (sogar die Seilbahn). Auch für abwechslung wird gesorgt. Man kan sich zu Wandertouren anmelden oder einfach selbst los marschieren oder sich auf das Fahrrad schwingen. Im Wellnessbereich konnte man sich anschliesend entspannen bevor man ans reichhalzltige Buffet essen ging. Hauptgang und Dessert wurden meist serviert.
• Seb1090 (10/5): Best family hotel I have stayed at. Excellent food - Stayed at this hotel on the recommendation of a friend who lives in the town. Was not disappointed and we are looking to book again. All the staff were very friendly and the hotel had a relaxed atmosphere. The food was excellent with a wide choice available everyday. There was even one night when there was a dessert buffet. Facilities were top drawer which included pool well being centre and play area for children with nursery nurse. The family who run the hotel had thought of everything even down to being able to use a pushchair free of charge
