Guest Reviews
- Parveen (6/5): - Carpet was very dirty. Bathroom very small and very dated
- Adam (2/5): Better to sleep rough - This is without doubt the dirtiest place I have ever had the misfortune of staying out, dirty walls, dirty toilet, dirty shower and burns on the walls, no mirror in bathroom cuz it had been ripped off and a huge hole in the wall in the bathroom were it had been kicked in... only stayed cuz I could not afford anywhere else, it is over priced what ever ypu pay.... stay in a park its cleaner
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worse hotel ever - Worse hotel I ever seen.. wouldn't recommend anyone to go there..
- stu (2/5): Worst stay ever - More like a hostel worst hotel I've ever bin. Booked for 4 nights only stayed 3 left day early rather than stay. Needed to get home for a sleep because there was no chance sleeping there.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Travel Inn - The 2 people we met who worked in reception were friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, that's where the good points end. The morning of the booking I received an email saying the card machine was broken and I'd need to bring cash (no dramas) but then also telling me if I didn't acknowledge the email the booking may be cancelled! Not a great start...
The room smelled of stale smoke. The second bed in the room was so squeezed in you could barely open the bathroom door. The room was dirty... the floors were grubby and the carpet ripped, there were small splatters (I don't even want to know what of) on the wall and there were stains on the mattress showing through the sheets (we put the towels under the sheets... at least the towels seemed to be clean).
The other guests were noisy until about 1am, and the walls seemed very thin... this combined with an old and lumpy mattress didn't lead to the best night's sleep.
There's a reason this is a very cheap hotel... it's terrible.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Hotel Stay - This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. It is in serious need of updating. Rooms were clean enough but the stay was dreadful. Got about 2 hours sleep all night. A couple downstairs were arguing for hours and then the room next door to ours started having a party. You also have to pay a parking fee after you have paid a considerable amount to actually stay there. However the staff did waiver this which was good of them.
- Tinashe (2/5): Worst Hotel ever - Pathetic Hotel ......doesn't deserve to be called a hotel. How it's a licensed hotel really baffles me. This place must be shut down completely
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Had to wait several minutes to check in as no one on front desk when we arrived (no bell!) Room was reasonably clean although smelt of cigarettes (smoking area outside room).
- Victoria (2/5): Poor - The staff were friendly and accommodating. However the rooms were tiny, there was one mug in a family room. The shower was pitiful, one temperature only and the pressure was poor. Couldn't turn the radiator off and there was a water leak on the landing outside our room, and speaking to another guest they had a leak in the room. Certainly not worth the £90 a night.
- Darren (4/5): Just not great - The room smelt mouldy and not clean sheets looked used dust on the windowsill toilet not clean spoke to reception and they didn't seem bovered
- Jim (2/5): very tired hotel with a leaky roof - The room was fairly basic as you would expect for a budget hotel. The shower was good and although the bathroom was small it was clean. The bedlinen seemed clean and as we were only staying one night before leaving early in the morning it was all we needed.
however at 3:00 a.m. we were woken by the fire alarm going off. The lights had fused because there was water pouring in from our ceiling through the fire alarm.
fortunately there was someone on reception who moved us to another room which was at least dry. However we did see a number of buckets in the hallways catching water from other leaks in the building. There was a puddle of water at the doorway to our new room but we were too tired to complain and went to sleep.
we left early the next morning to do the prudential ridelondon and surrey 100 mile cycle more tired than when we arrived.
I would advise anyone thinking of using this hotel to avoid it.
- Alan (2/5): Useless - This hotel is being run by a Cleaning Company as eviction notices are place on every door for the 17th July. Fire doors were held open by fire extonquishers. rooms very small and windows were not opening properly. I did not stay and left after check in and sighting room. They asked for full cash on arrival - no doubt to fix the books.
- Beth (6/5): Umm... great last resort hotel! - I would not shower here. My husband did and I made him wear his Sandler because the floor was so dirty in the bathroom, and I told the kids not to take their socks off at all- they can put clean ones on in the car in the morning. The shower had no door or curtains so water just pooled everywhere, a blanket of dust was around all the pipes and thick mold in the shower. My husband felt like he was going to roll off the bed the whole nigh since the mattress tilted to the one end. The location was great! 5 min walk to the subway and 7-9 min ride to the buckingham palace and a easy relaxing walk everywhere else. The check-in was easy and friendly. The neighborhood locals are very friendly as well.
- Verified traveler (2/5): DO NOT BOOK - This is a front for a brothel . Like a war zone had to move out!!!
- Sofiane (2/5): At this price you should avoid at all cost - The hotel is more a brothel than an hotel with women coming and leaving the whole night. Very noisy and the mattress is awful.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Not the best, far from the worst - To be honest, we (a group of 4 in town to see a punk show) didn't have high hopes for this place after reading the other reviews and we're excited to see if it was as bad as people said. Truth be told it was an OK place to stay, the staff were nice enough and the beds were clean, the TV worked fine and we had hot water. The room smelt like ciggies but that wasnt too bad, water pressure on the shower wasnt great but it did the job after an hour in the mosh pit. All in all don't come here expecting 5 star quality, but its not nearly as bad as the reviews seem to say it is
- jass (4/5): Only stay when u couldn't find anywhere else - Condition & cleanliness is not good, not of service provided by hotel as meantioned while booking. Bathroom was blocked & even not cleaned , no towels or gels etc.
Mattress wasn't comfortable for sleep.
I wouldn't recommend to my family & friends.
Staff was friendly .
- Gill (4/5): base to sleep following concert - Received email on morning of trip to say no card payments were acceptable, had to go to cashpoint before journey. Although website offers continental breakfast, nothing was available. Bathroom was very small and shower flooded bathroom floor.Very noisy from other guests all during the night.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Wouldn't stay here again. - Awful. Smelly room, nothing welcoming about it at all. Fire doors being held open by the fire extinguishers, it is like a rabbit warren, doors everywhere, small doors so tiny and small that you would wonder what was behind them. A very noisy place.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Not a place I would stay again - Stayed here as was at Robbie Williams concert. Only good thing about it was sheets were clean. Room hot and stuffy no fans no fan in en suite. Carpets thread bare. Couldn't wait to check out
- Tony (2/5): Needs a serious overhaul - I know it's a budget hotel but I've been in a lot nicer places for far less money, there was no breakfast and parking was an extra £5 to leave the car out the front.
I received an email the night before saying the card machine is broken and could we bring cash or cancel, looking into reviews turns out it's been broken for a very long time, unless it's a scam (you never know these days)
The place is very dated and the only thing it's got going for it is its location being only a mile to the Olympic park, the plastic shower/toilet unit was broken, had a very noisy extractor fan and had cigarette burns in it, the room smelt of old cigarettes, no air conditioning so ended up sleeping on top of the very hard bed as it was so hot in the room, window had cracked glass and the door had been badly repaired as it looks like someone had to break in at some point.
- rebecca (6/5): Ok for an overnight if your going out - It was ok, very very basic and the floorboards on the stairs where so loud from our room. I wasn't expecting a lot for what we paid.
- Ash (2/5): Good location bad everything else - Bathroom was disgusting I've never seen something so dirty and I dread to think what the stains are on the curtains, trust me spend the extra money and go somewhere else.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Cheap and basic - It's low cost basic but if you just need a room with ensuite to sleep then it does that well.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Not somewhere I would ever plan on staying again. - We got made to pay in cash when we arrived even though we had arranged to pay by card as apparently the card machine was broken.
The first room we got given smelled incredibly bad, the TV was hanging off the wall, there was a punch hole through the bathroom door, sheets and head board did not appear clean, windows easily opened and didn't lock not reassuring as we were on the ground floor. As a result of the poor state of this room we asked to change and the man behind reception gave us another pair of keys and told us he would show us to our new room although he didn't come so we went and found it on our own. It was right at the top of building through lots of twisting and confusing corridors so that we were the furthest possible room away from our friends that we had come with.
Our new was considerably better although still not brilliant (not all the plug sockets worked and bathroom could have been a lot better) throughout the night we could hear people in the room next to us what sounded like they were rearranging their room, talking between them selves and snoring so the walls were not extremely thick.
Left as early as we could the next morning and don't plan on coming back EVER.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Very very basic - The room was very small. There's was only one cup which was used to store the tea/coffee making items.
Whoever was in the room above us sounded like they were good to fall through the ceiling.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Not clean but covenient for travel. - Not Advisable for family. Travellers with kids canavoid.
- Verified traveler (2/5): very poor quality - terrible
- j chelsea (4/5): Want be back specially not for price - No wifi, the tv was small and quality of picture was terrible, rooms are very small, shower would of flooded the bathroom if used due to rubbish shower curtain, slight mould on the walls, and very basic ive stayed in a lot better for a lot cheaper, beds were hard pillows were so overused they were flat and area at night is not the best
- Craig (6/5): - Room was basic and price fantastic.
Pro were:
Close to the city centre.
Bus stops right near by hotel.
Staff were polite and helpful.
Cons were:
No room storage, so had to live out of my suitcase.
Couldn't place my tooth brush or bathroom products on mirror shelf. This was down too the shelf when installed being set at the wrong angle.
- ayann (4/5): Terrible - Terrible
You can't provide a handwash in toilet and shower .
I'm not gonna come back here again
- Eman (6/5): Nice Hotel - Liked the hotel was ideal for my short stay, will stay their again next time i visit.
- Richard (4/5): - The White Ribbon beats this.
- Brayan (2/5): Waste of money - Really expensive for this kind of hotel. You can surely get a 4* star hotel for the amount paid for the night. Wouldn't recommend to anyone they don't even offer you towels in the room just poor all the way around.
- ambrose (2/5): clean but very basic - Hotel was clean but very basic. Value for money
- Borris (2/5): Filthy, dirty - smelly - This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in! I can not believe the owners would have the audacity to even let these rooms in these conditions! It should be condemned.
- .margp1 (4/5): 1 night stay - The room was okay, bathroom door needed replacing. Every floorboard in the place creaked people banged doors late at night
I would not stay there again
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worst Hotel Visit Ever - Working in the field that I do gives me the opportunity to sample hotels around the world. This one is without any doubt the single worst one I have stayed in anywhere around the globe. The room which I was given was in the extension to the building, an extension that felt as though it was going to fall down at any moment. The walls had zero soundproofing whatsoever and the floors moved significantly whenever someone stepped upon them, sending a creaking sound through the entire wing of the the hotel. There was also significant damage to the door to the ensuite and no attempt had even been made to repair it. It is clear that the owners of this hotel could not care less about their customers - I've experienced nicer stays in hotels with 30-man bedrooms. Absolute rip-off.
- Verified traveler (4/5): nothing to remember - spending some quality time with my partner
- Gary (2/5): do not stay here - proper dump... would never sleep in this brothel again!!!!!
- A (2/5): Absolutely horrible - The room was in poor condiotion. Such a tiny bathroom floor was very dirty there was no lifts for us to take our baby up in we had to take her out of the pram and carry her up loads of wooden stairs. It was soo hot in the room the hotel had no air con we had to leave the window open and outsode was very noisy because its the main road that leads into central london which is romford road. We asked for a fan the man at the reception said he did not have one the beds were soo uncomfortable. 3 single beds the mattress was so thin we could feel the springs the beds made alot of noise and kept moving through the night everytime we turn over. Paid £65 for absolute rubbish could of paid less and gone somewhere better
- Thomas (6/5): - Overall the staff where polite and really nice, but the hotel rooms where bit out dated, but it was worth the money close walk to station.
- Mr. R (2/5): Horrible Hotel. - I would NOT recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. It appeared to be frequently use by couple for very short stays. The walls are very thin and did not make for a good stay at all.
- Vijay (4/5): The hotel charged twice as mentioned in the itenar - hotel is not very good.. and still they charged my card twice.. even after 6 months.. still the payment is not reversed..
I have followed up many times..
- mf (4/5): Feel bad to go there - Not a good place to stay with family u ll feel so bad look like sex center.
About shower I'd not working.
- Pete (2/5): Dirty & Disgusting - On arrival, I was absolutely SHOCKED & DISGUSTED at the poor standard and cleanliness of this hotel. There were smells of dust and drugs around the hallways. Although the bedding sheets looked clean, the bed structures were dirty and messy. I booked three rooms for two nights. All three rooms had very poor standard showers which only trickled water out. Not enough to have a decent shower. Room 12T had a very bad draft coming through the window (whilst closed) and as the bed was situated next to the window, this caused for a sleepless and cold night. Room 6T had the curtain rail held up with a coat hanger pressed into the wall. Room 14T had dirty damp walls. When I requested a room replacement, I was given another room which wasn't much better (15T). On top of this, there was very little insulation in the windows as we could all hear the traffic along the road outside very clearly and throughout the night! There was no way, we were going to stay for the 2nd night, so had no other choice but to check out after day 1.
- Chris (6/5): Basic but ok for budget trips. - Good location for Olympic Stadium. Rooms fairly small and basic but good for an overnight rugby trip as close to Olympic Stadium. We booked 5 twin rooms but ended up with 2 triples and two twins as the hotels booking system just a pen and a sheet of paper! Basin too big in bathroom making bathroom too small. Area ok by day, a bit rough at night. Quite far from a tube station but ok for buses. Not bad for the price.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Worst night ever - Too noisy at night, group of young people keep makong noises, room not very noise proof, too hot, windows couldn't open fully, had problem. It took receptionist 30 minutes to find my booking. I was given wrong room as the room I booked wasn't available. Not happy at all.
- tisay (2/5): We check in and check out immediately.... - Not a good hotel...they lied about the hotel....we check in and immediately check out. We wasted our one day payment.... Please don't recommended this.... No aircon, no wifi, no elevator and the hallways can only fit for 1 person. its not a safe place to stay.. I am just telling the truth.
- Michael (2/5): Not Recommended - Basic hotel which I would not recommend, Television did not function correctly as advised no toiletries provided. No air conditioning very stuffy room . Kettle only provided with tea bags and dated milk no welcome biscuits
