Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (8/5): - It was a better room than we have had before , still need to put new bath tubs in the showers as these are stained real bad!
- Rachel (4/5): - Sheets were dirty and hairy. Smelled like smoke when entering. Tub was horrendously dirty. Stains on carpet. We will never stay there again.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - I refused to stay here because of how nasty it was.
The carpet was so nasty they covered the worst parts with throw rugs that were also nasty. The towels in the bathroom were grey no longer white. The bed had no mattress cover under a very thin sheet. The pillowcase had debris of unknown origins on them. I didn't stay long enough to see anthing else.
- Danyelle (8/5): Nice small town motel - The Willard Country Inn is extremely charming and has a feeling of being at home. With that being said it could really use some updating and condition improvements. We stayed in the family suite which is very great when traveling with a family. It had a seperate room with a queen bed and the main room had two king size beds, chair, dinning table with two chairs and a small settee. Everything was worn but nothing was dirty. Everything, with the exception of a couple of lights, worked well. Kitchen with full size refrigerator, coffee pot and microwave but no stove. Very convenient to restaurants and some shopping. Felt extremely safe in the area. All in all I will stay here again. Maybe next time there will be some updates or sprucing up done.
- Ann (4/5): - Gentleman on duty was nice, however the office smelled horrible. The room was a small apartment and although it didn't smell, the carpet was so stained and dirty looking we would not walk barefooted on it. The bedspread and sheets did appear to need washed or were stained. It had been recommended by someone who had stayed there a long time ago. It has gone downhill we will not go back. We actually decided not to stay and drove back home after our event we were in town for, ended. The restaurant next door was pretty good.
- loretta (8/5): - This 8s an older hotel where you drive up to you room. It has its plus and minuses. It still has some cigarette smell but it is minor. We like because it is inexpensive there is a nice restaurant right there, and close to summit Motorsports raceway. No longer than we are in the room it is fine. We are there for shower and to sleep. We spend maybe 7 to 8 hours in room at night and when you are asleep. You don't see the anything. Have stayed there for the last 6 or 7 years.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - If you like sleeping in dirty sheets with other people's hair all over the place and love dirty stained carpet this place is for you! Disgusting! Worst hotel I have ever seen!!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The inn was lovely. It was old and maybe needed some updating but was very comfortable and cosy. The manager was very friendly and helpful. There were 3 of us so he gave us an adjoining room instead of a cot in our room. We didn’t ask.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I love this place! If you're into "retro" you'll love this place as well. The parking lot needs fixing, but for now you'll just to drive real slow around the big potholes. And the food is awesome in the restaurant and very affordable!
- jonathan (8/5): - There for reception. Not much in willard. It was nice than expected.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - This property needs a serious makeover! Lots of stains on the carpet and the shower was smaller than a phone. Also have a strong odor of smoke in the room.
- meme (2/5): garbage dirty - Filthy dirty felt like throwing my clothes away I refused to keep extra clothes inside
- Verified traveler (2/5): Requested a refund - Disgusting. Towel had crap. Carpet disgusting. Bathroom a mess.
- Robert (6/5): Needs a lot of work!! - Not very clean.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The staff were extremely friendly. The room was sub-par. It smelled of smoke, and old carpet, there were cobwebs all over everything, and i could not get my TV to work... The bathroom shower curtain was absolutely disgusting and had mold and mildew all over it... the shampoo they provide you on the counter was barely enough to wash my hair... Overall not thrilled with the room, but it was cheap and we needed something quick as we had not intended to stay in the area overnight.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Rooms are clean but dated. Was happy with room for the price, but then the toilet didn't work, so they happily changed our room. Only downfall was the room we changed to wasn't as nice but the toilet worked! The new room was really cold when we went in because they had turned the heat off, likely to save money. Took a good 30 minutes to be comfortable. Once we got the temperature regulated, it was a nice room for the money, but you can tell they save money wherever they can. Little packets of shampoo instead of bottles, One bath towel for two of us. There was a nice sized fridge tho.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Old but clean - Excellent room size and comfort. Needed a paint job in bathroom
- Verified traveler (2/5): Do not Stay Here - One window air unit is used to cool this two bedroom that time forgot. No air gets to the dirty bed with pillow stains. The dated wood paneling compliments the leaking toilet/sink with complimentary towel already put down to soak up the water and mold over time. Hopefully you like the look of tube tvs because I had TWO! After sweating for a couple hours, I checked out and went down the street to the much nicer hotel behind the Burger King.
- Verified traveler (2/5): Cancel and go somewhere else - One AC window unit does not even cool the bedroom. Dated everything from the 70s! Leak in the bathroom, floor soaked. Dirty pillows and sheets.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Great price, ok to stay just needs a little help - I know it is an inexpensive inn for the money and older like a 70ish do not expect it to be "updated" but I do expect it to be clean. The furnishings are older and so is the inn but that is not a reason for the carpets to be so stained that you do not want to walk without shoes on your feet. We really only stayed for there for the shower and the bed for an event that we attend. The shower has plenty of pressure and hot water, but on that note I would expect the towels to be clean we got wash cloths that we so stained I thought they were used as cleanings rags not that hard to give the guests clean towels. The beds are basically comfortable. Now I am going to check out the other two hotels that are right near this one for price and cleaning. We stayed in this same hotel last year and did not have this complaint but i guess a lot can happen in a year. The people that work there are nice. Unless something else comes along that is a bit better probably will stay there again for the event we go to and for no more then we are even in the room it still is better than paying 3 to 4 times per night to be 15 mins closer to the event.
