Guest Reviews
- Jeff (10/5): - Amazing place. Beautiful views of the Alps, clean room, very comfortable, and the staff is extremely friendly. I will definitely be back!
- Edward (10/5): - Great property, friendly staff , excellent view
- Larry (10/5): - Views were amazing! On site reasturant was fabulous.
- Jennifer (8/5): - We unfortunately had limited visibility when we stayed at this hotel, but loved the vibe and comfort and cleanliness of the hotel and enjoyed the hospitality we received from the hotel staff. We’d definitely stay there again.
- Caisson (10/5): - Lovely place with a great staff and a beautiful view! So happy we chose to stay here!
- subash (8/5): - It seems the moment the restaurant staff figure out you are visiting USA they start demanding tips. Tipping is not customary and the Locals eating out detest Americans who are trying to tip. Please do not tip . The locals dining in hotels hate Americans who tip and who are trying to change the culture
- Asad (10/5): - Picturesque place
- David (10/5): - We had such a wonderful stay at Jungfraublick! The hotel checked all the boxes — clean, comfortable, and staffed with incredibly kind and helpful people. The view from our balcony was absolutely breathtaking and unbeatable. We really appreciated that the staff came to pick us up at the train station so we didn’t have to pull our luggage uphill, and they even upgraded our room to give us extra space. Breakfast was excellent too — fresh, delicious, and with plenty of options. Overall, we had an amazing experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!
- David (10/5): - Perfect hotel experience. Room was clean and well appointed. View of the town and the mountains was flawless. We stayed 3 nights and will stay here again if we return.
- Emilia (10/5): - Hotel Jungfraublick was such a wonderful place to stay. While the walk up from the train station was a bit of a climb, it was absolutely worth it for the unmatched views. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. We had dinner at The Deck and loved both the food and the excellent service. The complimentary breakfast offered plenty of great options to start the day, and it was so easy to head straight out from the hotel for a hike. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!
- Thilo (10/5): - Superb views from our Mountain View room with veranda. Room was very well laid out with an excellent bathroom too. The staff were perfect. They even forwarded two pairs of forgotten jeans to my next hotel without any trouble. I will happily stay here again.
- Drew (10/5): - Shuttle to and from train station is great for those traveling with large luggage. Restaurant and patio dining options are great. Staff is very attentive and kind. Views are impeccable.
- Rachanika (10/5): - The room we stayed was a good size and had a balcony with the panoramic view of the Swiss alps famous peaks. The bath room was modern nice.
The breakfast was a big disappointment. For a hotel with a restaurant, they could not offer hot breakfast other than boiled eggs, really!
The selections were cold cereals, cold cuts, some pastry, bread, yogurt and some fruit salad and fruit slices. The selections stayed the same throughout our 3 day stay.
So not worth the charge.
The fruit did not look appetizing. I ended up buying fruits from a local grocery.
Hotel restaurant offered very limited menu as well. Just fondue and burger.
- Peter (10/5): - Amazing mountain views, friendly staff and well designed room and bathroom
- grant (10/5): Loved our stay - Room and hotel is exceptionally clean. The walk from the train stop is fun, only ten min, and they offer free transport when travelling with luggage. Cool little main street in wengen where you can grab a bite. We were attracted by price and the room was fantastic.
- IMAN (10/5): - Really nice hotel, with great view.
Friendly and helpful staff
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean room and a great breakfast spread for vegetarians.
- Karen (10/5): - This hotel is situated up on a hill in Wengen with amazing views! The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpdul. Our room was cozy, very clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay again!
- Anna (10/5): - Gorgeous views, excellent breakfast, nice staff, it’s on a steep hill but they deliver luggage to/from train station
- Damian (10/5): - We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Jungfraublick. Our room had a stunning view of the mountains. Wengen is a charming small town, less touristy and crowded than Interlaken, yet still with plenty of restaurants and shops to enjoy. It’s also cooler during the hot summer days, which made it very comfortable. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The walk up from the station is quite steep, but you can call reception and they will happily pick you up, which was very convenient.
- Steve (10/5): - Great customer service.
- SHIV (10/5): - Great views!
- Heather (10/5): - Beautiful property and views from the balcony. Very quiet and the staff was so helpful and kind. The Deck has great food and drinks!
- Kristen (10/5): - The hotel was amazing! The staff was so friendly, the woman at the front desk was so helpful! The breakfast was delicious and well run.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Cozy, clean mountain retreat - Lovely hotel with a great breakfast included. Restaurant on the terrace had the most stunning view and the food was great too! Rooms had a particular smell, but nothing we didn’t get used to and the rooms were very clean. They even had a board for cheese, wine opener, and wine glasses we put to use on the patio. Overall a wonderful stay. Pillows could be better.
- Mohammad (10/5): - We had amazing 5 nights! Great staff, services and great views of the mountains and valleys.
- Lisa (10/5): Great stay in gorgeous area. - We had an amazing stay here! Front desk help offered so much used information upon check in, including great hikes in the area, restaurants, etc. our Mountain View was gorgeous. Breakfast was free and had a wonderful variety. Restaurant on site was good too.
- Allan (10/5): - This place it’s unbelievable. Loved it so much .The view it was amazing. Definitely want to come back soon
- Matthew (10/5): - Great property in a fantastic location. The town and station is all easily walkable and the hotel is perfectly located being in a quiet area with amazing views of the valley and mountains. Breakfast was great and sundowners were a pleasure out on the patio.
- Jonathan (10/5): - The hotel was great and the staff was amazing. The only complaint we have is that it did not have AC or ceiling fans
- Amy (10/5): - Beautiful hotel with gorgeous views of Jungfrau & loved sleeping with peaceful sound of cowbells at night. Breakfast was phenomenal, staff was so warm & welcome. Fondue dinner at the deck is a treat after long day of hiking & travel. Wengen is heaven on earth.
- Matthew (10/5): - The room was amazing. Couldnt believe the beutiful view we had. The room was spaciouse and had everything we needdd. We had our 16yr old son with us and itvis jard finding rooms that can accomadate another bed that isnt sone uncomfy pullout. He had a bed that was just as comfortable as us.
To bad they didnt have toom availsbke for second night as we would loved to of stayed another night
- Liam (8/5): - Beautiful view of Jungfrau, and a wonderful breakfast!
- Mark (10/5): - Loved it!
- John (10/5): - The view was gorgeous from the Panaoramic room! And the staff especially Nathalie was especially helpful. She reached out proactively when I needed help to extend my stay in the same room.
- Gabrielle (10/5): - We loved our stay in wengen. Such a beautiful, quaint town and the hotel was perfect for what we needed. The included breakfast was so good and fresh. Staff was very friendly and the Mountain Views were perfect. Great hotel choice if you don’t have trouble walking uphill to get there.
- gretta (10/5): - We had wonderful stay at Hotel Jungfraublick! The view from our room was magnificent! Out of all of the mountain towns we visited, Wengen was our favorite and we were so happy we were staying here! The staff were all so kind and helpful and treated us very well. The room was simple, but had everything you need. Beds were comfortable with high quality linens. The complimentary breakfast had a lot of variety and an excellent cappuccino machine. One of our favorite things to do during our stay as sit on the patio with a glass of wine and take in the view. We will definitely be coming back!
- Debra (10/5): - Loved the quiet! Balcony with fresh mountain air was wonderful. The staff were very helpful.
- David (10/5): - Gave us a shuttle bus service from the train station and fixed problem as soon as possible such as a failed security deposit box and gave a breakfast-to-go since the restaurant opened later than we can use.
- Lyndon (10/5): - We absolutely loved our stay! The room was spotless and had little closets to hang our clothes, the hotel staff were super friendly and extra helpful, and the view from our terrace was stunning. A short walk to the train station and a grocery market near by just gave us everything we were looking for during our stay in the Burner Oberland area. Thank you!
- Dipta (10/5): - Nice hotel with breath taking view. Stayed with family will stay again.
Lesson learned: the hotel has free shuttle service from Wengen Station, we suggest you to use that since the slope is steep.
- Carolina (10/5): - My daughter and I stayed here for 6 nights and we absolutely loved this hotel. The views were incredible and they had some of the most comfortable beds and pillows I’ve ever had in a hotel. The hotel was also very clean and the breakfast was very good!
- Ahmed (8/5): - awesome stay. only negative thing was there was some strange smell in the room. smelled like fish. not sure what it was. not super inconvenient but it stood out.
- Paula (10/5): - Amazing views. Very helpful and friendly staff. One lovely girl helped us navigate a website for hiking. Very clean rooms. Lots of space for your belongings ! Would highly recommend!!
- Christine (10/5): - Lovely staff, amazing view from panorama room. Would stay again. Steep walk up to the property from the train station.
- Sandy (10/5): - Close to train station, great views, clean room, quiet location. Free breakfast and tea and coffee in the lobby 24/7. The hill was quite a climb but made up for it in the end with the view.
- Songning (10/5): - Nice hotel with easy access to the top of Europe.
- Molly (10/5): - View and vibe is good!
Location - 10mins walk from the train station. Caution: Need walk up to the mountain, could be tired with big luggages.
Service - Not a lot 'service' here, I request item but need went down collect myself... The only good service was the hotel shuttle bus driver! He was good & helpful!
If you have kids - This hotel charges everyone as adults.
Generally it's good to stay especially with the mountain view.
- Samson (10/5): - Good place to hang out. Room has nice balcony with great views. they upgrade our room us for free!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Perfect - A lovely hotel, small rooms but super clean and amazing views. Staff and breakfast were perfect. No complaints.
- Robert or Maureen (10/5): - Spectacular views!!
- Courtney (10/5): - This property had fantastic views, a great restaurant with amazing fondue and very helpful staff.
- Beatriz (10/5): - The area is just like paradise so most hotels will make you feel like that, I believe. Breakfast was very good, the views from hotel were stunning, close enough and to main street and train station with complimentary ride which was convenient with luggage. Staff was super nice!
- P M (10/5): - Loved my stay, staff were very attentive, and the view from the room was spectacular as was the Fondue in the restaurant
- Andrew (10/5): - This hotel would get 5 stars just for the view from the balcony! Add to that the fact that the rooms are super clean, the staff is so helpful and friendly (shout out to the desk manager who solved our problem of a broken off cork inside a bottle of wine!) and it just couldn't be better.
The breakfasts at the property are a MUST. Fresh, local breads and dozens of options from overnight oats to cold cuts, cheeses, toasts, softboiled and hardboiled eggs, jams, honey, Nutella, everything!
The fondue we had (traditional) at the hotel for dinner on day 2 was superb as well.
Is it an uphill walk from the train station in Wengen? Yes. But you're in the Alps, right? And they have a shuttle to help if you speak to them. I can't wait for our next trip back and a chance to stay there again!
- Erinn (10/5): - This hotel offers a great view of the ALPS and the valley below. Free breakfast in the morning. Easy walk to the train station and center of the city. From Wengen you can then take the Tram to Mannlichen, high recommended. Would recommend this place to anyone visiting the alps and it's an easy train ride up the funicular( yellow train) from lauterbrunnen below. Sit on the left side of the train for the best views coming down.
- Nansie (10/5): - Great location, very clean and the cheese fondue at the restaurant was delicious.
- Jose (10/5): - The property is on top of a hill not too far from train station, but recommend to schedule a pick up and drop off from train station. We loved everything about the room, the restaurant, and reception. Excellent service!
- Troy (10/5): - Loved this hotel. Incredible view of the landscape surrounding the hotel. Worth upgrading to a room with balcony or mountain view to be able to take it all in
Staff was friendly and accommodating. Upgrading my room for free and providing an early check in. Breakfast was good with a spread of cheeses, eggs, breads and other items. Free coffee 24/7 in the lobby.
Town has everything needed included a grocery store and prices at restaurants are reasonable for Switzerland especially in the mountain area. Be aware transportation is all by cable car for most areas and there is a significant cost to this.
The Wengen Mannlichen cable car will give you access to an incredible hiking area.
- Tetyana (10/5): Must stay !!!!! - Amazing hotel, great location and super cozy. Outstanding breakfast with a lot of local foods. Coffee was amazing, I couldn’t have enough of it. Super friendly stuff , offering shatter to the station. The only recommendation I have is for the restaurant to get more items on the menu.
- cindy (10/5): Great hotel in Wengen - Staff friendly with good advice on things to do/where to eat. Rooms cleaned immaculately each day. Good shower and beautiful tile work! Breakfast is really good with great variety. Unfortunately, it was cloudy, foggy, and overcast the whole time we were there so we did not get to experience what I am sure are spectacular views of Wengen. The hotel does sit at the top of a hill so for lots of or large luggage the pick up service is great.
- Ronald (10/5): - manager/owner was very friendly, reception personnel friendly and helpful, dining room staff competent and friendly
- Erika (10/5): - Comfy rooms. Fantastic breakfast buffet. Super helpful staff. 3 minute (gorgeous) walk to the train. Oh, and get the fondue!!
- Erik (10/5): - This is a wonderful hotel in an amazing little ski-town. The front desk clerk, Daniel, was extremely helpful. He recommended a hike that was perfect for our attire, hiking level, and desired hike-time. The restaurant on site was excellent for breakfast however, the dinner service was limited since we arrived a little late in the evening. The male server didn't seem thrilled that we were sitting down so late although there were plenty of other guests still enjoying dinner. If I were to complain about one thing about this property, it would be that specific server. Everyone else on the property was a joy to deal with and you should not decide not to stay here because that young man was having a bad day. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Wengen.
- LORENE (10/5): - This hotel is amazing! We were met at the train and driven to the hotel, only to be greeted by the amazing staff - shout out to Sarah, who went above and beyond and patiently put up with our 1,000 questions and always with a smile! Hotel view of town and mountains were breathtaking, perfectly located, clean, complimentary beverage station, library, family (game room), dining room with buffet breakfast and outdoor patio. AND guest washer and dryer, if needed.
There are no cars in Wengen, and its small, so be prepared to walk, the hotel is uphill and so worth the stroll! This hotel is highly recommended!!
- Thomas (10/5): - This was the third time we have stayed in the Jungfraublick. We love it. The rooms have been updated and are even more comfortable. The staff is super and very friendly. They even had special blankets and biscuits for our dogs. The view is amazing.
- Shawn (10/5): Great Hotel - Very nice room with balcony. Loved the location with great restaurants nearby. We would stay here again and also the breakfast was wonderful
- Casey (10/5): - Lovely place, would definitely stay here again. Pay extra for the mountain view - totally worth it.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Overall good stay in Wengen - Overall good stay in Wengen. A steep climb to the hotel if on foot.
- Helen (10/5): - Balcony view from lovely room amazing. Great breakfast, coffee all day. Easy walk to train. Super convenient. Wonderful stay. Staff so friendly and helpful.
- Anthony (10/5): - Excellent, Excellent experience here. Felt like home. Very comfortable stay. Friendly staff and convenient location. I would come back here again. Breakfast is robust, lots to choose from. Great place
- lily (10/5): - Beautiful hotel and very friendly staff. Breakfast is great with various options. I like the cleanses of the room, however the room size is kind of tight.
- Julie (10/5): - We had a wonderful five-night stay in September. The room was clean and comfortable, the food was delicious, and the staff was courteous and helpful. And on a sunny day, the outdoor bar is divine!
- scott (10/5): - Great location, great hotel, great breakfast, incredible staff.
A truly enjoyable experience. I wish I could give it 10 stars.
- Sharon (10/5): - Lovely hotel in Wengen!!! They picked us up at the train station and made us feel right at home. Our room was comfortable and we had a lovely balcony. Breakfast was included and there were many options. Very friendly staff and it was very clean and smelled good
- Andrew (10/5): - Perfect view of the mountains and city. Very cozy and amendable
- Scott (10/5): - We absolutely enjoyed and loved our stay. Breathtaking views and beyond friendly staff. Appreciate the beautiful accommodations they provided. Will definitely stay again on our next trip!
- jeff (10/5): - We liked everything
- Kabir (10/5): Great hotel - Very satisfied and very friendly helpful people. The view from our room was great.
- Aaron (10/5): - Beautiful views!
- Ishita (10/5): - The to and fro service from the train station - we had a lot of luggage and this service was very very helpful.
We stayed at the panoramic view room, the views were amazing!
The hotel staff was very friendly, our overall stay was so good!
- Reta (10/5): - An absolutely beautiful property; the staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend to anyone!!
- Alexander (10/5): - Hotel Jungfraublick was a very nice choice for a stay in Wengen. It is well maintained, the rooms were large and quite comfortable, and the staff was uniformly helpful. The views were magnificent from the deck where we enjoyed drinks and some snacks. The dining options were limited but good for lunch or snacks, and there were many dinner choices nearby.
- Lindsey (10/5): - Property has an amazing view and great for the price point. The property is a little dated but very clean and has very thing you need especially if you do a room with a mountain balcony view. There is a hike up a fairly steep hill that didn’t bother us but something to be aware of if you have mobility issues. They do offer a shuttle from the train station.
- Chelsa (10/5): - Such a beautiful location and they are super helpful to come and pick you up or take you back to the train station with your luggage. I really enjoyed staying in Wengen and I suggest it if you don’t want to have to stay right in Lauterbrunnen, it’s so easy to get Back there on the train.
- ryan (10/5): - What an amazing stay in the best hotel in wengen
The views are something from a postcard.
Rooms were very clean and spacious
Sarah was great checking us in
The pick you up from the station and drop.you off when you leave (its a very steep walk up )
I will say it again this place just for the views alone are worth it.
Will be back
If
- shail (10/5): - Perfect 2 night stay for a family.
- Laken (10/5): - It was such a beautiful town and the hotel was wonderful! We had a great view and would definitely come back to the hotel.
- alexey (10/5): - The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The only drawback we had with an old steam iron that did not work very well.
- Cheka (10/5): - Staff were helpful and friendly. Special shoutout to Daniel at reception.
Clean rooms
Breathtaking views!
- Kevin (10/5): - This hotel had amazing views of the Jungfrau region, best in Wengen! Super charming and quaint. We looked forward to waking up for the delicious breakfast every morning, especially for the village baked fresh bread! This hotel is not fancy or upscale but you don’t need that when you are out hiking the mountains every day! Great little patio for evening cocktails while watching the sun set on the mountains.
- Shirleen (10/5): Awesome place to stay! - Everyone on staff was so helpful! Loved our stay!
- GEORGE (8/5): - Very nice 3 star hotel up a small hill in Wengen with picturesque views of the mountains. Clean and tidy property with very friendly and supportive staff.
Very close to all amenities in this small village. Luggage service is life saving.
Breakfast is quite dull with cold meat, fruits and cheese. Breads and croissants quite ordinary. No hot options.
At the end of hiking day the final bit of climb to hotel can be taxing.
- James (8/5): - Daniel at the front desk did a great job welcoming us warmly when we arrived and throughout the stay. He was a great host with many good recommendations for dining and hiking. We did receive a room upgrade without even asking. The views from the hotel are incredible. The only downside to this property is that the rooms are a little small and haven’t been updated in a while without the modern amenities of newer properties. Overall I would recommend this place for a trip to Wengen or to the Lauterbrunnen valley.
- Vishal (10/5): - Great stay! Wish we stayed here longer instead of Lucerne.
- Judy Kay (10/5): Wengen - The room was a bit small but the view was mind blowing beautiful. The staff was amazing and very helpful. We enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.
- Clara (10/5): - My husband and I had a lovely two-night stay here. Our room was on the smaller side but plenty of space for us - we loved the little wardrobe/bedside tables on each side of the bed. The amenities in the rooms are thoughtful and cover the basics we needed. The staff is kind and helpful, there is tea and coffee available in the lobby 24/7, and the breakfast has a great variety. We will definitely return here if we are lucky enough to visit Wengen again!
- gelsomino (10/5): - All that you can expect from a hotel on the mointain: cozy, warm, great staff.
No taxis or public transportation in town but if you call the reception in advance, they'll arrange somobody picking up and your luggage at the station which is very convenient.
- Riham (10/5): Love it! - Love it! I am coming back again!
- Mary Sue (10/5): - Guido was so nice. Love that man.
Loved the private balcony. Lots of game choices on the lobby. Every staff member was friendly and very helpful. ❤️
