Guest Reviews
- Jose (10/5): -
- Ubaldo (10/5): Comfortable - Very good place to stay The clean rooms and the beach
- Bertila (9/5): -
- Bertila (9/5): -
- Walker (4/5): Stayed because of necessity, there is potential but Will not be returning. - access to the beach, friendly staff, property security was around the clock , plenty of parking spaces. room smelled like fumigation, visible dust on shelves, water coming from the showers has bad smell, and outdated property with flimsy chairs , an abundance of stray dogs and cat while you eat, check in and check out was a long process.
- Jose (7/5): Inefficient communication with guest. - The property is kept clean and good access to the beach. The fact that we were not notified in advance that there was no food service for the afternoon and night of the date we had our reservation.
- Guadalupe (6/5): Too much for the quality - Alrededor de la piscina quiere más linpio y hay que esperar mucho para la comida más de una hora,
- Emerita (1/5): Horrible. Won’t be staying here again. - The view of the beach Rude staff, the toilet was not working and instead of giving me another room; they decided to fix it at about 10:30 p.m. which stunk up the entire place. People were exiting the rooms wondering about the horrid smell. Overpriced. No fridges or microwaves in rooms. A lot of mosquitos.
- Emerita (1/5): Bad - Nothing Customer service was bad especially the front desk person
- NELSON (10/5): -
- Crystal (5/5): It's just for the beach vibes... - I loved the beach, so calm, clean, and beautiful! The staff was nice and accommodating. It was great that breakfast was included. The security guard allowed us to use the hose to wash off our car. Super cute that each hacienda was named after a Department in El Salvador. They automatically set up a tab for your room. The pool closed at 11pm, and after 9pm you were able to control the music using Bluetooth. Overall, it was quaint and we made it fun for the 4days/3nights that we stayed. The bathroom water smelled weird, there were fire ant hills everywhere, the doors to each hacienda were not completely sealed so bugs could enter despite their attempt to fumigate before we arrived, the sprinklers were on all night which made the grounds wet the whole time, limited hours for food (8am-8pm) and drinks (8am-9pm), the trees in the parking lot housed bats that would mess the car daily, there were no bathroom or door mats to wipe wet/dirty feet, no spigot to rinse off feet before entering each hacienda, there were intermittent blackouts that effected the running water, the front gate locked after 9pm and you needed to notify the security guard for re-entry, outside food/drinks/coolers were prohibited, and you had to be mindful of sealing your luggage to avoid bringing back unwanted guests.
- Andrés Felipe Díaz López (1/5): - No tome la habitación, porque no son lo que promocionan . Habitaciones malas
- Celina (1/5): HORRIBLE - Nothing well it was close to the beach and where you went onto the beach was a very nice lady with fresh food from the sea and great margaritas and funny humor DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!
Everything first thing walking into the place there was a 1000 cats and dogs with fleas that attacked as soon as I stepped out the fleas not the animals the man sitting there asked what I was there for it was for a reservation took him 30 min and 2 phone calls to find it then we pay if you look around you’ll see signs saying no outside drinks no outside food so if you want to eat good luck cus the food sucks there and is very expensive and you can’t sneak something in because the security guys watching you the whole time up in your business like damn just want a pizza and also if you don’t tell them you don’t want food besides the free breakfast they’ll charge your card when we got to the room there’s an electric line and a water hose right in front of the door lovely get into the room the guy turns on the tv it all staticky can barely see picture on most channels he leaves look over and there’s a bottle of roach killer sitting there Great only sheets for covers floors feel like they haven’t been touched in years there’s is so many things that were absolutely horrible about this place worst stay everrrrrrrrr don’t stay here
- Guest (8/5): - El desayuno , la playa, la atención Las habitaciones necesitan más remodelación y los aires más mantenimiento pasamos una noche sin aire porque se daño en una habitación
- Carlos (9/5): - Mami bonitas habitaciones
- Rodney (8/5): - Las instalaciones se ve un poco descuidadas comparadas con visitas anteriores.
- Orlando (8/5): - Exelente place. I would come back again.
- Justo (10/5): - Muy contento
- Concepcion (6/5): - Good location. Rooms need maintenance, insects inside the room. Bed was filled with ants. doors are not aligned so animals get in. . No bed sheets, no pillow cases. Staff didn’t clean table outside the room, leftovers stayed overnight.
- Raul (6/5): - No comments
- Palacios (6/5): Pleasant -
- Demetry (8/5): - Limited activities around the property. An the food was average.
- Victor (8/5): - A
- Rosanio (4/5): - La propiedad está buena lo único que no me gusto es que cada vez que comíamos nos rodeaban los perros y gatos y para comer no hay muchas en el menú
- Carlos E (6/5): Stay - I Was no very nice

- Erica (2/5): - We got there and is no rooms available
- sandra (2/5): - Horrible muy sucio
- Telva (1/5): Bad - Está horrible Está horrible
- Yessica (8/5): Overall good experience it’s my third time staying here! - Confortable and relaxing Bathroom need deep cleaning other than that a great experience and was able to rest!
- Lauren (1/5): Will not come back - Breakfast was okay staff was really rude when we were trying to check in, they said they didn’t have space for us and then changed their mind. And then did not help at all when we asked for help to get a taxi to leave.
- Omar (9/5): Superb -
- Teresa (8/5): - Property is clean and great access to the beach. Beautiful and clean!. The property is fine, basic. Not a lot if eating options.
- Walter (10/5): - Amazing place. Food was great. Service was great. Great place for a family. My daughter loved the breakfast.
- Oscar (10/5): - We had a great time there, the waiters and all staff are supper attentive for anything a client needs. Great service overall!
- Yessica (10/5): - Staff was nice and attentive! I slept well and enjoyed the hotel! Very close to the beach
- Gerhard (8/5): Good to stay for some days at a beatiful and long Pacific beach - Located at the beach, with a nice pool. It is a hotel and restaurant, so it offers all food, plus snacks, bevarage, and so. Service is good. Hotel is pretty far away from any other hotel or restaurant. Food is a bit fat, so not too healty, but that is rather typical for El Salvador. Things could be cleaner, I think (but also that is rather the country's culture)
- Luis (2/5): - The water from the shower was smelling very bad and plus too much mosquito inside the room
- Carlos (8/5): Very good -
- Rudy (10/5): I like the place - Good person working at the place Eve thinks is good
- Vilma (10/5): - Muy amables los que le atienden
- John (2/5): - This was a very dated facility. It was noisy and the staff were a bunch of kids into their own world. Food was very average in the premises. The staff was flirtations in addition to being arrogant and childish
- Irvin (8/5): - Nice people great beaches
- Claudia (4/5): - We were staying for 1 night and did not like the front desk service which never provided towels for our complete group. The room only had 3 when we were 5. We requested them but never received them, the front desk guy was not helpful at all or interested in our concern.
We also did not like the amount of trash you find in common areas that caused so many flies as early as breakfast.
- Juan (8/5): Very good -
- Aleta (10/5): - The room was larger than expected. Since it was a Monday that we checked in, it was very quiet and felt like we had the place to ourselves (although there were others that rented out other rooms). Whenever we wanted to use the slide, they would turn it on for us. Room was nice and clean and spacious.
- Hector (8/5): - I liked this property because it is safe,
- Pablo (8/5): - Primera vez que me quedo en cuco fue una experiencia cómoda , el personal muy amigable y responsable
- Evelin (10/5): Exceptional - We liked the room were separate by a wall but still 3 suits in 1 room. Confortable, afordable, very nice The bad smelling inside the rooms was not pleasant. Other than that everything was fine.
- Morena (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ascencio (9/5): It was great - Everything was good The location
- Villatoro (7/5): As expected for a mid priced El Salvador hotel. - Good location and good value for the price. Cats everywhere you turn are especially annoying when you just want to enjoy a meal. The room is very stark and poorly painted.
- Leon (9/5): Superb -
- joshua (10/5): - This was a very quiet and naturalistic place. The views are impeccable. The staff is super friendly and helpful. It rained while we were there so we couldn’t enjoy the fire pit if you are looking for a little escape and to be in touch with nature this is good place. Be advised things close by 7:30 pm there.
- Leanne (7/5): Good -
- Walter (8/5): - The property was well maintained and felt safe with my wife there. The AC worked well. The beds were soft and got plenty of sleep. The only thing I did not like was the many stray cats that were in the property
- Jay (10/5): I’ll definitely will be back - Property was awesome, well maintained Can’t say nothing bad, everyone was awesome
- Alexander (8/5): Very good -
- Jose (10/5): Exceptional -
- Alexis (4/5): mediocre - Friendly Staff
great location Food and Drinks
- Lucila (2/5): - Never stay the night, everything is old and it smells horrible. I paid and I had to leave because it was impossible to sleep.
- Lety (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maria (10/5): - Everything was fine
- Claudia (4/5): not worth it. - the beach was nice, which is not really on the property. I did not like the hotel or any “amenities” overall very dirty property, moldy bathrooms, the shower had a stink to it. the fridge smelled, and breakfast changes even when it says on the menu that it comes with sides/extras. THAT SLIDE IS NOT SAFE, DO NOT GET ON IT. ALSO THE POOL IS LIKE 50% beach. they do not apply the rules that are posted every where for everyone
- Ricky_b (6/5): Pleasant - Breakfast was very good and tasty.
The staff was very friendly and professional. We felt welcomed.
Thank you The room was not well maintained. There was a broken glass window, and the beds were not prepared with the blankets. It had only a bed cover. There was also no table available in the room to put the luggage or personal items.
In the access to the beach there was a lot of plastic and rubbish.
Beautiful and stunning beach but has too much plastic and rubbish
- Yrma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Claudia (4/5): it was ok it wasn’t what we were expecting - beach was close and nice, food was good and the price was decent front desk guy was terrible, he didn’t want to give us xtra towels, rooms are small, no chairs only 2 electric outlets
- mariavI2773OP (6/5): Very safe place, good brinks And fun for the kids - The place is nice and the people are very helpful and friendly unfortunately the food tho was no so good over cook no flavor besides that the place is wonderful and save for kids very lovely place where you can relax with the family. Definitely
- Jennie (9/5): Superb -
- Iris (10/5): - Excellent service. 4th time coming back. Christian went above and beyond. Very friendly
- Edward (2/5): Very poor - Great location , beach front. No wifi, no Pool, dirty room, big cracks in the walls
- Reyes (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fuentes (8/5): It was pretty good. - Breakfast was delicious, they had 5 options which is good since it comes included with your stay. There was air conditioning in every room, living room, and bedroom, They gave us toiletries also. You pay for your room when booking but pay for your food and everything else drinks and stuff when checking out. It was 11 of us that went we all ate and drank sodas and alcohol the food only came out to 180 which is cheap for 11 people. TOO MUCH CLOROX IN THE POOL! I ended up getting a rash on my thigh and so did my fiance on his privates and my brother and sister-in-law.
- Reyes (7/5): Good -
- Ramon (2/5): - It was my mistake not checking the reviews.
How ever hotel its supposed to be affiliated with 5start trópico inn in San Miguel. I thought was going to be good but it wasn’t.
- Richard (8/5): - It was very close to the beach
- Jose (2/5): - very old structure needs to update everything in general outside and inside the cabins The price they charge is too high for what they offer I do not recommend this place I am very disappointed
- Raquel (4/5): - The beach was very dirty and not kept well at all. The food was ok but took a very long time. The room was semi clean there were dead bugs everywhere.
- Adriana (8/5): - It was good service , just make cleaner area
- Eric (2/5): - Beautiful beach. Bad experience. I booked two bedrooms and drove three hours and a half to get to playa cuco. Once I arrived, I was told no rooms were available anymore. Apparently they had been out of rooms for days and the staff didn’t understand how I was able to a book a stay. Overall bad customer service as well. I asked for a refund on Expedia and I did not receive one because Expedia couldn’t get in contact with Playa cuco. Disappointing.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great place. family friendly. The beach was perfect to go with little ones.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Staff was very kind and helpful. The rooms are very clean. The breakfast very good and nutritious. The beach is fantastic. The best I been to so far. The garden very well kept and beautiful.
Owners need to hire more personal to keep the outdoor area clean all the time. The second day all the garbage from the previous day was still there and the dining area stunk so bad that I had to move out to a garden table to somehow enjoy my breakfast. The pool was not crystalline. Not inviting.
- William (2/5): - Not what it seems on pictures.
Olace is not well maintained.
Pool water dirty slide for kids not working.
- Sheyla (6/5): - The people are very nice, services people excellent, place no that good old and not clean , food ok but they don’t have everything from the menu , very close to the beach
- rdb65 (2/5): Rude people and Dirty beach - We arrived at this beach on a Sunday night, the locals were leaving for home ,it is a very busy beach. My girlfriend and I were very disappointed in the garbage that was left behind. Plastic styrofoam cans you name it. Walking the beach you had to watch were you stepped because there was so much garbage. It was disgusting. Now the people of this town were not friendly at all. We spent 2 weeks in El Salvador and loved it. This place was not tourist friendly. The Hotel we stayed at was amazing though.
- delia (2/5): - Not recommended!😩☹️
- NELSON (2/5): - I was arguing with them for the price they wanted to charge me more than what I had paid online was not the actual price of the room that was only for the reservation as a fee and they wanted to charge me an extra $ 200 but finally after we talked to the manager handed us the rooms for the price paid at hotel.com
- liz (10/5): - everything was great, the service was excellent. the view
- MarieNed2014 (8/5): Vacation - 2nd time there, They are very helpful but under staffed. The room was San Vicente, it looked dated, but it was clean. The window in the bathroom has a broken glass pane and we had mosquitoes. The TV in the room did not work and we got a discount for that. Overall it was a nice stay. The food was good, we had the mariscada for lunch and it was delicious.
- Marina (10/5): Two thumbs up - Amazing experience, the hotel accommodated us and made us feel welcome in the facility. The hotel is beach front, and the beach is clean and not busy.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I would like to enjoy more time but I can next time is definitely going to be wild up place that I'm going to see
- k_wfrost (6/5): SHOULD BE BETTER - The beach here is fantastic in terms the view, the warm water, the surf and the boats to take out into the surf for a thrill ride. There is also lots of food to be bought on the beach sold by local people. One of the "must" items to try is the "coctel de concha"; a spicy concoction of fresh, raw black clams mixed with diced tomatoes, onion, cilantro, lemon juice and spices. Very tasty. My main Negative is the garbage everywhere. This is unfortunate but it is their beach.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The staff is very nice but the beds are not comfortable.
- LMF199 (4/5): meh - the room was small, small tv. looked clean. the pool is a joke very dirty. the breakfast wasn't that good. the only good thing was that is close to the beach. ww stayed at the paz room. no hot water. parking and staff friendly
- Martin (10/5): - We really enjoyed being at Tropiclub Playa El Cuco. The stuff was great. We felt secure, breakfast delicious, the beach very clean, the swimming pool so nice with warm water, the showers outside as well as the inside, very strong pressure, unlike Galveston, hahaha. I definitely recommend it.
We are going back soon.
- VictorG283 (8/5): Good place to spend your evening - Spent a day at this place with the family. We were there on a Wednesday so there wasn’t anyone else there but us. With a $10 deposit per person you have access to their parking lot, pools and beach. At the time your departure the $10 deposit will be apply to your ending balance. The property and pools were neat and clean. The food was very good, my only complaint will be that they serve you rolls instead of tortillas (this is El Salvador, you gotta have tortillas with your meal). The staff is friendly and service is okay but improvements can be made. We recommend this hotel and will return next time we visit El Salvador.
- Everth (10/5): Beautiful place to stay - I love it clean and beautiful. Great service, I highly recommend this hotel you will enjoy it. Also thanks Expedia for great costumers service.
