• CLARENCE (7/5): Good location - Good location. Close to Union Station on one side (down town) & Trader Joe on the opposite side. All facilities available to cook. Rooms are spacious (private) Lots of weed smell at the entrance. Many residents were not cleaning the dishes used although notices were put all over.

• Islu (1/5): Aquí roban y no se hacen cargo, el peor lugar para hospedarse en SF - Tuve la peor experiencia en este hostal. Dejan habitar a personas peligrosas en las habitaciones. El metodo de limpieza de las habitaciones no es monitoreado y por consecuencia ocurren robos (me pasó) Ademas de eso las camaras de seguridad no funcionan por lo que es muy conveniente para ellos no dar soluciones Me robaron objetos personales en mi habitación. Realizaron una limpieza a mi litera como si yo no estuviera ahi (y tenía bookeado 3 días, esto ocurrió la primera noche) Al darme cuenta solicité hablarán con el personal de limpieza cosa que no pasó. Tomaron objetos personales invaluables, y al pedir hablar con el manager, me dieron trabas y me dijeron que no podían hacer nada. Al hacer mi queja mediante booking me pedían "documentos" para comprobar lo que había sucedido y al pedir el archivo de camaras del lugar me dijeron que no servian... Pedí un reembolso ya que no era justo quedarme los sigueintes dos días y me negaron el reembolso. Es un lugar pésimo y ceeeeero atención al cliente, por favor no se hospeden aqui. Menos si son mujeres

• Gustavo (3/5): Muy mejorable - Lo mejor es la ubicación, muy cerca de Union Square, a unos 5 minutos andando aunque de noche las calles son oscuras y no hay demasiada gente alrededor. El tamaño de la habitación está bien. Llegué y la habitación estaba sin limpiar, con pelos por todas partes, restos de basura, la cama sin hacer, sin toallas.... El recepcionista se tuvo que poner a hacer la cama. No se me ofreció alternativa o compensación alguna por este asunto. Además, al dejar las maletas todo el mundo tiene acceso a la habitación sin control alguno, por lo que no da seguridad (sería necesario darte un papel con tu número de equipaje y que solo entrara ahí el personal del hotel como hacen en la mayoría de lugares para evitar robos de dispositivos electrónicos, maletas, etc.).

• 0933b50e5bec70654f71acd5c6fb7364 (7/5): Mejor elección calidad/precio si viajas solx. - Muy buena ubicación, si no buscas todos los lujos a cambio de un precio muy económico, es una muy buena opción. A 5-10 minutos de múltiples combinaciones de transporte con toda la ciudad, instalaciones básicas pero limpias. Me alojé en una habitación compartida con otras 5 mujeres y no hubo ningún problema, todo se mantuvo limpio y nadie molestaba a nadie. Hay acceso a lavandería en el basement, y cocina comunitaria con útiles y almacenaje si quieres guardar algo. Las personas alojándose allí saben perfectamente cómo compartir un espacio. Me dio la sensación de que todo funcionaba muy bien. Hay una persona disponible en recepción las 24 horas. Relación calidad/precio repetiría sin duda. El colchón era de muy mala calidad, dormí porque pasaba todo el día fuera haciendo turismo y llegaba cansada (me hubiera dormido en una cama de faquir), pero era muy malo. Los enchufes en mi cama no funcionaban muy bien, y si conectaba un aparato no podía conectar otro. Pero pequeños detalles. Había otros enchufes para usar en la habitación que sí funcionaban correctamente.

• Krystal (3/5): Fair price for the area but I wouldn't book again - The location itself is downtown but the homeless situation in SF has gotten worse. As a single woman, I wouldn't want my young adult daughters staying in the area. They were afraid to walk up the stairs in the vicinity based of the men loitering there and we ended up walking farther around the block. When I checked in, I was assigned to a private room with 4 women. All four bunks were dirty and only two women present so I had to return to the front desk to have them figure out which was supposed to be mine. I placed my fresh linens and blanket on the bed and headed back out. When I came back the next day, someone had taken my linens even though I had paid for three nights. My daughters were in a hotel close by so I spent my days with them as the hostel didn't have a super cozy vibe at all and they couldn't hang out with me there.
• Mieczysław (10/5): unforgettable - On the second day, I received sad news and had to cut my trip short. The ladies working at the hostel helped me pack my bike, and I'm grateful to them. I returned home with fond memories of the kind, warm, and helpful ladies at the Amsterdam Hostel.

• Carolann (6/5): Definitely more hostel than hotel - The staff was nice. It had a communal kitchen and eating space, which at least when I was there, people kept clean. There were also laundry facilities. I didn't use them, but that would be nice for a longer stay. The bed was comfortable enough. The size and layout of the room allowed me to open a suitcase in an out of the way place, and I still would not have wanted this space for more than one person. Room layout can be a challenge in the budget hotels around Union Square, so important to note. The room had zero soundproofing. It was like everything in the hallway was happening right in my room, and because my room was near a high trafficked area, it was loud all the time. I managed this with earplugs when I slept, but during the day, it became tiresome. There were no washclothes or hand towels. It was also just far enough away from Union Square that the walk at night got a bit uncomfortable. I felt like this space was overpriced for the amenities.

• Mehdi (1/5): Very bad. I don’t recommend it. - The price. The location is mid. There is staff 24/7 at the desk. This place is particularly dirty, noisy and poorly maintained. My roommates seemed to be living in the room year-round for the most part, so it was especially cluttered with suitcases. The entire hostel is dirty and poorly ventilated. Only the top floor is somewhat better. One of the roommates категорically refused to close the window at night to let in fresh air, so we were constantly woken up by the noise of cars and people in the street. Several guests would slam doors in the middle of the night. There was blood on my bedsheets. Absolutely everything is dirty. The shower was leaking; it was later repaired but only produced lukewarm water with very low pressure. There are a few showers outside the room, but they don’t provide soap. The staff is available but mostly indifferent. I asked them to reduce my duration of stay. They refused without giving me any other options. One of the dirtiest areas in the hostel is the laundry (which is paid). I honestly don’t know who this hostel is meant for, as it’s very hard to get a good night’s sleep there. It’s just better than sleeping outside.

• Tatiana (6/5): - Nous avons apprécié la proximité avec la ville. Bon rapport qualité prix L'insonorisation de la chambre était catastrophique. La literie était inconfortable. Les personnes droguées au pied de l'hôtel faisaient leurs besoins sur le trottoir, côté insécurisant.

• Sophie (6/5): Je ne reviendrais pas - L’emplacement. Il faut prévoir du cash pour le dépôt des clés, sauf que c’est indiqué nul part avant de réserver. Idem des frais par carte de crédit mais pour le paiement ils ne prennent pas le cash… L’hôtel est entouré de sans abri et drogués 💉. Il y en avait un systématiquement dans les escaliers extérieurs de l’hôtel, obligeant à l’enjamber…. Quelqu’un (ou une femme seule) qui n’est pas à l’aise avec ça, il faut choisir un autre hôtel.

• faramineuse.moi (5/5): You get what you pay for - The room was clean, the location was great and it was very inexpensive. We were there for 2 nights (3 days) in total, and two out of those days there was no hot water. I asked the reception on the first night about why that was happening, and she told me someone accidentally turned off the hot water switch somewhere in the hostel. The next day there was hot water, but on my last day, when I woke up hoping to have a hot shower before checking out, the water was lukewarm. I asked the reception staff again about why that was happening, and they just shrugged. I understand that the hostel is really inexpensive and that you get what you pay for, but out of 3 days that i was there, i got to shower only once. Had I known that this would be an issue that they can not resolve, I would have gone to another hotel or hostel. That was disappointing.
