Guest Reviews
- Matthew (10/5): -
- Kirsten (10/5): - Einfach perfekt, die Zimmer sind genauso schön wie auf den Fotos. Von der Terrasse hat man einen schönen Blick. Das Essen im Restaurant ist gut, ebenso das Frühstück. Sehr freundliches Personal.
- Geoffrey (10/5): Restful break with good food in idyllic surroundings. - Meals are excellent. Suites are well-designed and luxuriously furnished. Staff are welcoming and helpful. Location is great amid the green Devonshire dales, with a nearby lake famed for its birdlife. Nothing
- Cockle (10/5): We’d go back next time visiting the area. - The suites were fabulous with a south west facing terrace. Great space and attention to detail. All good.
- Landau (10/5): Beautiful, relaxing, expectation were exceeded - The room was spotless, large (I loved the fact that we could watch a TV from a sofa and not just sitting on a bed) with a stunning view, and an added bonus of 'Real' milk in the fridge rather than the UHT capsules that you normally find.
We only had the breakfast there but it was lovely, I especially enjoyed the Scottish Black Pudding. Staff were helpful and friendly, and I would definitely recommend this place. Nothing, everything exceeded my expectation and it felt like home for two days
- karen (10/5): - The room was simply gorgeous, food was so lovely, staff was so friendly.
- Gavin (10/5): - A very enjoyable one night stay. The room and view from it were exceptional as was the food at our evening meal and breakfast.
- Kelly (10/5): Our stay here was perfect, the room was clean and very welcoming, the views were outstanding and the staff were very att - The property was spotless, very relaxing and beautiful views. Absolutely nothing I didn’t like about it.

- John G. (10/5): Excellent stay & we would definitely return. Hard to fault. - Absolutely superb. Great room, super clean, amazing view across the valley. Quiet, with only the sounds of nature to keep us company.
Restaurant & bar were both lovely, 2 local cask beers, in great condition.
Friendly and caring staff and owners.
Food & service at dinner & at breakfast was first class.
Very difficult to fault anything at all. We would have preferred ground coffee in the room rather than instant.
- Melanie (9/5): Very relaxing - Spacious, clean, great location, great breakfast
- Foster (10/5): very friendly service and the accommodation was excellent - Diner was very good N/A

- Karen (10/5): Very good - Staff very pleasant and helpful from arrival to departure. Room very good , large and clean with lovely views from the balcony. Ate in restaurant that evening and thoroughly enjoyed it. Breakfast freshly cooked to order. Nothing
- Tatiana (6/5): - The room is really spacious clean and provides a great view Wifi didn’t work at all in the evening. I had to cancel all my zoom calls and moved immediately to the other hotel To be honest wifi worked satisfactorily at 5 am in the morning but slowed down at 6:30
There were no hot shower, the water was simply lukewarm
The safe didn’t work in the room at all
Breakfast was not good: in such areas one expect that local produce would be used, and nicely cooked: the black pudding was seriously overcooked (or maybe the initial quality was low), the bread used for the toast was “chemical” one from the supermarket, tear port of the size of milk pot, and the whole atmosphere- ok there are no atmosphere in the pub
- Marie (10/5): Accommodation amazing, staff very friendly, food wonderful - Accommodation was fantastic I loved it
- Michael (10/5): Christmas mini break - Everything you cannot fault this place this is our 5th visit and will continue to book this truly amazing place Nothing

- Christopher (8/5): - The room and view were very nice, lots of room and comfortable bed, the pillows could and should have been of a much higher quality. The lighting in the bathroom was under par and not good enough for the cost. Not enough clear lightening for applying make up or having a shave, no magnified mirror in bathroom and poor lighting. the restaurant food we had was very good and reasonable in price. No complimentary slippers which was disappointing
