LovetheBeach58503 (8/5): First time stay. - First time staying here. Positives; Nice roomy room. Liked the kitchenette. Large shower. Pool, hot tub, sauna, workout room nice. Large lobby seating area. Great breakfast with many options and made to order options. Negatives: I ended up visiting the front desk 4 times and had to wait several minutes.including checkout, person was on the phone confirming a reservation, no other staff around. Checking in I was immediately helped but had to wait 10 minutes while they checked if room was ready. Checkin is 3pm, this was at 4:30pm. Next stop was to get ice. No ice machine but they provide bags of ice at front desk. We were not told this at checkin. Bedtime we searched for sheets and blankets for sofa bed. Again, they are available at front desk. Room temperature was hard to regulate. Frost on the inside of windows and a draft coming in. We were unable to stream a movie due to hdmi cable disconnect. Mentioned to front staff these issues and they didn’t appear to care to note and fix.

They did a block of rooms flawlessly and the hotel is super clean, the extras they provide are priceless from social hour to breakfast!! Absolutely the best!
michskier8181 (10/5): Best business hotel in Fargo - Great and clean property. Only place I stay in Fargo. Breakfast is great. Rooms are clean and the gym is great for a quick stay. Staff is super accommodating as well.
chrisfJ1537OD (8/5): Good hotel for EV owners - There are three level 2 Chargepoint EV charging stations serving 6 parking spots. When I arrived after 10pm there were at least four spots still available. The spots are clearly indicated for EVs and the guests seemed to honor this. By the morning, however, most of the EV spots were taken by ICE vehicles, which is understandable as the parking lot was totally full. These are 6 kilowatt chargers, so it's slow but enough to get a good charge overnight. I'm paying $0.20 per kilowatt so it's a very good price for charging on the road. If the chargers are all ICEd, there is a Tesla supercharger very nearby, as well as other EV fast charging options in Fargo.
west5er (6/5): Cute, but not up to par. - Our company puts us up at this hotel. It's cute but cheaply built. The walls are very thin, so you can hear everything. Even though they recently renovated the property, I can't really tell because something is always broken or not working right. It's very hard to get the A/C right. It's either too cold or too hot. The last room I had, the white shade chain, was so stiff and hard that I had to climb on the table and wear gloves to get it to roll down. The phone in my room didn't work.
traveler_2010_96 (2/5): LIGHT SLEEEPERS BEWARE! - Upon check-in the receptionist gave me key and I noticed it was on the first floor and asked about an upper floor and that it was also stated on my profile...after some struggle she was able to find one on the 3rd.....she said that it would have helped had I called or messaged earlier in the day to request. What's the point of having a room preference on Marriott site if hotel is going to ignore (also my Titanium status didn't seem to help either). The negative review was mainly based on hotel room itself as I am a light sleeper. When this property was built they decided to go cheap and not do concrete sub-flooring and you can hear every step from person above my room. The walls were fairly thin as can hear conversations next door. Doors of rooms are very heavy and you will hear those around you if they let their door slam behind them. Also, plan your showers accordingly, as the water is sooo soft no matter how much scrubbing you do you WILL NOT get the soap off of you (soft water may be ok for some). If I was ever 'forced' to stay here again I would book a suite and only if I could get 4th floor.

DocBoss302 (10/5): Best Hotel in West Fargo - Another great stay in Fargo. This is a terrific choice in Fargo. It never disappoints. Clean, upscale designed, eco-friendly hotel in a convenient location. Although Jo Jo's, the restaurant next door, is closed, there are other good places to eat just minutes away. The ChargePoint EVSE units in front are appreciated for EV owners. Although they are rather slow, the rate is very reasonable. Breakfast offered food made to order and a good selection of continental breakfast items. Complimentary beer and wine most nights. The staff is friendly and accommodating. They always seem happy to serve. Rooms are efficient. Bathrooms are clean with large showers stocked with shampoo and shower gel dispensers. A large TV, comfortable bed/linens and nicely equipped kitchen make the rooms among the best in Fargo. Temperature was easy to adjust. My room near the end of the hallway on the fourth floor was quiet even though the hotel was full. Nicely sized elevators operated well. The hotel offers bikes for customer use. Small but well stocked food shop. Exercise room is well equipped and the pool area was clean. I highly recommend staying here, but be sure to reserve in advance. This may be the most popular hotel in West Fargo, especially during wedding and sport tournament seasons. It is worth more than the price charged. Excellent value. If it is full, Home2 is an alternative.
April (10/5): - Breakfast was great! Pool and hot tub were perfect. Beds cozy and warm. Only thing I'd fix is the shower curtain kept blowing into the shower while showering and it would leave little room to shower and stick to you while you showered. Possibly a curved out curtain rod would help instead of straight across one. I am a petite person so my size wasn't the issue 😉 Otherwise would absolutely stay there again!

Joey (8/5): Worth a stay - Pretty good hotel. Staff wasn't particularly friendly, but the place was busy. Had some trouble with the wifi - kept getting kicked off. Clean room. Pretty good breakfast. Nice pool/hot tub area. Could use an extra elevator, as the two were always busy and sometimes there was a wait. Some decent restaurants close by.

They also charged (instead of pre surged) an incidental fee on top of the deposit and so I was out the conversion fee for Canadian/USD even tho we didn’t owe them anything. The guy was really quite rude on the phone as well. Would not stay there again, how disappointing
jrf990 (2/5): Hotel Ruins sweet 16 birthday - Elevator Charges should be expected - My son stayed at this hotel with a sports team and there was something very unusual. On the elevator there was a small sign - not large enough to see if there is someone standing by the buttons, but the sign said any jumping or horseplay will be charged to the room (I've certainly never seen a sign like this in over 1,000 nights of traveling). There are cameras in the elevator to ensure this happens and fine print at check in. If you are a sports team considering staying here...don't. I would also recommend avoiding this hotel if you have kids who may just act like kids on an elevator - the sensitivity of this elevator is high and the tactics to recover extensive charges are aggressive. The policy and process for aggressively charging for elevator damage is extensive. $2,500 minimum even if it is simply for a minor motion sensor reset during normal business hours and this is spelled out in the details of the hotel agreement. This scam is great for driving revenue for the hotel and elevator company, but unfortunately not great for sticking it to the kids, their parents, and the teams. To add insult to injury this happened on my son's 16th birthday so this shady business practice will forever tarnish what should be a great memory and day of celebration. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.
Patty (8/5): - Really liked the layout of room. TV wasn’t working and had to call front desk for assistance. Staff that attended was very nice however, it required a couple calls and long wait for front desk to pick up. Breakfast was nice, however they did run out of many items due to the number of guests- hotel should have been mindful of same knowing how full they were. We booked the hotel for the courtyard/fire table and whirlpool, however, there was a large young sports team and parents that, understandably, took up all the space. I would be calling hotel directly to inquire about group bookings in future as we were hoping for relaxing weekend getaway.

Bed was comfortable shower was nice big screen TV and kitchenette were a surprise to me! I would recommend this for anyone. Would love to stay in the summer it has a nice courtyard with grills. Well take. Care of. The breakfast was good more fancy but spread out which was nice! This nice personable lady makes you your own personal food item Avacado egg toast. I wish I could remember her name but wow she knows how to talk to people and show kindness everyone in the hotel loved her!! Thank you!! One recommendation get a room on the top floor, as it was mentioned this hotel can be loud near the elevators especially. But I think with less carpet it makes for louder rooms. It is still a favorite hotel for me!

Thermostat settings appeared to have no impact on temperature control so we were alternately throwing blankets off or throwing them back on. The comforter was so heavy and bulky we couldn’t get comfortable under it. And something in the alarm system associated with the accessible room we were given, much to our chagrine, provided an electrical discharge noise that was on and off all night.

Carmen (10/5): Best hotel ever! - This place was amazing! We loved the warm saltwater pool. The outside area looks so nice. Everyone was very nice. Everything was so clean. Our room was handicapped accessible and very nice for my daughter. The gentleman at the front desk explained the light switch and everything. They even had allergy friendly (packaged) options at breakfast! The other breakfast options were good too, breakfast tacos made fresh and they were delicious.

619stanleys (8/5): Meeting expectations - We stayed here for the long weekend. The room was spacious with a full kitchen. The room was clean and the king size bed was comfortable. We did not use the swimming pool as there were many children using it. The breakfast was basic, not too fancy. On Monday morning, a staff served us the egg avocado toast instead of the regular eggs and bacon, which was nice. The room rate was reasonable.
Bronwyn (10/5): - We love the cleanliness and design of this hotel as well as the breakfast, courtyard and pool area. The pool temperature was too warm for summer - we appreciate that is part of the design with the embedded hot tub, but it was a bit prohibitive to giving the kids a long swim. Otherwise there is potential for a restaurant or grub-hub type partnership given the location of the hotel having only a pub within walking distance (good food at the pub but not for dine in with kids).
coldstinks (8/5): Good with a few hiccups - Overall a really good experience. Nice rooms that are clean. Beds are decent. Good location. Donavan at the front desk was great. The few issues I can mention include housekeeping. After asking for towels on day 2 and housekeeping on day 3, neither requests were fulfilled. The breakfast area is also very chaotic and both days they had a hard time keeping up. Other thank that I really enjoyed my stay and would stay here again.

Elizabeth (10/5): - I absolutely would recommend this hotel. I was skeptical when I booked it because it was pricey for what I normally pay. However, it was worth every penny! It was so clean and I slept amazingly as the bed was so comfortable. I was a little nervous because there were a lot of kids at the hotel due to a hockey tournament & thought it would get loud, but after 10:30pm couldn’t hear a noise from them. The complementary breakfast was delicious and a great variety to choose from. I also love that check out is at noon as you don’t feel so rushed. I will definitely be staying here again.

There were several other guests their also. I realize breakfast is done atv10am, however it was Saturday morning and several guests coming down to eat.
Sherrie (10/5): - It was a delightful stay. The staff were friendly and efficient. The bedding was outstanding - I plan on ordering pillows online. The Breakfast was excellent. Definitely would stay here again. Clean, beautiful and comfortable.

Chris (4/5): - My son crawled into bed around 10:30 (a few hrs after we arrived) and said his bed was wet. I said it can’t be. I went over to it. Sure enough it was wet and yellow. I went downstairs and asked for a new room. The front desk clerk (who was very nice) said they were sold out and asked if I was sure it was urine. I ended up changing the bedding myself and sleeping over the urine spot. While the rest of the hotel was fine this aspect of the hotel was disgusting and makes it hard to go back to again.

Cameron (10/5): - Modern and wonderful with all manner of amenities. Staff is genuinely helpful and happy. Located within a few minutes of many great restaurants and locales. Rooms also have excellent features, such as filtered water taps and spacious showers.
Matthew (8/5): - We were happy with our stay, and would give 5 stars… except that we were silent-billed a $50 pet fee despite not having a pet with us. Had I not checked the emailed receipt, I would not have noticed. I called the front desk and this charge was reversed without any issue, but as a closing experience to staying here, it left a bad taste.
D9867CHjeb (10/5): Adults - bring your swimwear! - Loved everything about this place. Got a "family suite" and it fit all 3 kids with room to spare. King bed, twin bunk beds, and a sofa bed, and also some couch space to spare. We could've fit a few more kids in there, too. Breakfast was adequate. We all found stuff we liked. It was different than at other hotels in that the worker made the hot food to order. And we dished out our own cold food. The kitchenette in our suite had everything we needed - knife, plates, bowls, silverware, fridge, microwave, colander, etc. The pool water was warm! And no chlorine smell. The water tasted like our pool at home so my guess is that it is a saltwater pool. Unfortunately we couldn't get the jets to work but no big deal. Appreciated the sauna as well. I don't think the pics gave the outdoor relaxing area and pool area justice. There was space for swimming laps that was about 5' on the deeper end and an extremely large area to play. The hot tub was L shaped. It was much larger than an average hotel pool. And was the most pleasant surprise. There were several outdoor tables and chairs in the courtyard area. There were a few board games and an xbox tucked away in the lobby area. If we return to the area, definitely want to stay again for longer!
486PatO (10/5): Terrific staff, immaculately maintained hotel. - Stayed here on a swing thru the Dakotas. The Marriott app only rated it a 3 star category hotel but it’s way nicer than many Marriotts I’ve stayed in. Beautiful hotel, extremely clean and well maintained with spacious guest rooms and very friendly and helpful staff. The pool was very nice as well and partly open to outdoors on nice days. Restaurant next door is closed but it’s only a 10 minute walk to a bunch of dining and bar options just south of the highway as well. Highly recommended.
DocBoss302 (10/5): Always a nice stay at Element Fargo - This is an excellent property with a good staff. Nice breakfast with some made-to-order items. Beer/wine reception in the evening. Good location. EV charge stations. Eco-friendly. Nice bedding and towels. Good sized, efficient rooms. Excellent value. Make your reservations early as the place is always in demand, especially on the weekends. I suggest a room on the top floor near the elevators.
April (10/5): - Very clean, pretty room. The entire hotel was very clean, up to date with style. A wonderful breakfast with excellent service. I would definitely recommend a stay here, you won't regret it.

NWwoman1 (2/5): Don't trust the price if you call. - Very disappointed. We called to make the reservation and said we had a pet. No mention of a pet fee. Upon arrival we were then told there was a $50 pet fee. Don't trust what you are told on the phone.

Tara (4/5): - Housekeeping did not come and freshen up the room after 1st night. Had to call down for new towels. Next day i asked to have to have the room cleaned and sheets changed. They only made the bed and gave us a few clean towels. Also room air was stale and hard to regulate the temp. Was either really cold or warm and stale.

lisa (4/5): - When Expedia asked me to share my recent experience I thought I would try to contact the hotel first. Unfortunately I couldn’t find an email. We stayed last year for our anniversary and besides the fire alarm going off it was fine. When walking into the room a couple days ago there were finger prints and muffin all over the side of the bedside table. The sink wouldn’t open or close and when telling the front desk the sink was broken it was “how so”, I explained and there was no apologies or anything. This too happened last time we stayed on the weekend. When asking for towels the girl said “I don’t know where to get them”. Even after that we decided to come back because we truly think element has a beautiful front entrance and great location. My hope is the cleaning is better and communication with front weekend staff.

Deb (10/5): - Enjoyed our stay in West Fargo. Room was fresh, clean and nicely decorated. Felt roomier than most hotel rooms. Appreciated the coffee maker w/coffee and tea. Fresh coffee available in lobby was good, too! Little noisy with kids running up/down hallways and loud TV's from room next door. But it seems like a family friendly place, so guess that's to be expected. Not a big deal. Staff friendly. Would definitely stay here again when visiting daughter at MSUM!
Carol (10/5): - Very lovely staff. Very accommodating to our dog. Loved the complimentary beer upon arrival. Rooms were spotless. The avocado egg toast for breakfast was super. Breakfast spread had lots of choices and fresh food. Would recommend to anyone. Pool was awesome and warm.
BRYAN STROMBERG (6/5): A poor experience - We’ve stayed here in the past and have been pleased. We were disappointed this time. At check in one of the girls had a water bottle next to her with a sticker on it that said “F
k You” which I found off putting. The room was okay but the couch had some white stains on it. There was a hockey team staying there and they were wild and loud into the late hours. The hotel did nothing to stop that. I get they’re kids… but come on. The next morning , went down to get coffee before we left and both dispensers were empty. Waited for awhile and had to go ask to get replaced. Wasn’t at all what you’d expect for the price. We will look elsewhere next time.
