• Verified traveler (10/5): - Loved staying at Chateau du Lac in West Kelowna. Location is perfect for wine lovers or just for exploring the Okanagan Valley area. Keyla’s home is lovely and she is a gracious and accommodating host. The room was perfect - comfortable bed and a beautiful huge bathroom. Oh, and the views overlooking the vineyards and lake are stunning. We would go back without hesitation and highly recommend this BnB.

• Vanessa (2/5): Horrible B&B! - I don’t how this B&B got high ratings but I now know why ever since I got suckered booking this place due to the high ratings of this place. First of all this place does not say there’s 2 cats, 3 dogs and a loud parrot at this B&B. So if you’re allergic to animals especially CATS, I would not recommend this B&B at all! We told Keyla numerous times that my bf is allergic to cats, she did nothing and if we had known there were cats here, we surely wouldn’t book this B&B in the first place! The place is not clean what so ever. A lot of animals furs are floating around the floor and Keyla would hold her animals then she would make our breakfast which result in dog hair in my food! It was very unsantize and I’m sure you wouldn’t want to eat at a restaurant where they have animals around and that’s why animals aren’t allowed even at the mall to begin with! She doesn’t clean her pets after she lets them out either. The place is also very dusty. And the washroom was breaking down. And we paid over hotel prices for this place! She also would pick flowers from her garden to put on your plate for decoration without washing them first. She also pick and chooses her guests. She treated us horribly and fake. She told us we weren’t going to get any cherry Jams or she scoop some left overs, while the other guests had full jar of jams at their table! She knew we weren’t happy so she offer us half a refund back but she told hotels.com we cancelled the B&B! Keyla is all lies clearly!

• Verified traveler (8/5): - First of all, let me say that this is not intended to be a negative review, and the owners have clearly worked very hard to create a comfortable and relaxing environment for their guests and the morning breakfast was wonderful. However, I feel compelled to say a few things that I wish were evident before I booked our stay here. First and foremost, when I read that pets were not allowed I assumed then it was a dog or cat free B&B. Not so. The owners have three dogs and two huge fury cats. If I had known this upfront I never would have stayed here. There was cat and dog hair on the floor of our room and in the bathroom despite strict rules to keep all doors shut at all times. Furthermore, in the AM I had to fetch something from the car and almost stepped on pet droppings in the hallway and had to grapple with a doggie fence blocking the stairway to the main entrance. In addition they also have a loud parrot which promptly woke me up at 7 AM with a loud squawk. The layout of the rooms is another thing you should consider. We have stayed in B&B's many times before but this experience felt more like staying in a stranger's house while they were home. The upstairs rooms are along the same hallway, guests and the owners alike, which doe not create an atmosphere of privacy at all, as one morning I stepped out of our room and their master bedroom door was wide open .Imagine staying at an Air B&B with the owners home, that's what this felt like to us and the pool was not heated.

• EvelinneCrawfor (10/5): - Beautiful location and beautiful home. The décor was very inviting and the breakfasts were high-end restaurant quality. We were on the main level, which only has 1 room, so it was very private and just what my husband ad I were looking for. This was a Birthday gift get-away for my husband. We were so impressed that we are making this an annual thing at Chateau du Lac. It doesn't hurt that it is so close to Mission Hills either. :) Thank you so much Keyla for the fabulous experience. See you next year if not sooner!!!
• Ken (10/5): - This B&B is set on a hillside in West Kelowna near Quails' Gate and Mission Hill wineries. We walked to both places each evening for dinner (although the walk has some streets without sidewalks and there is traffic so be careful). Our ground floor room was very comfortable with a large bathroom across the hall for our private use. The owner keeps her lovely house very clean and nicely decorated. She was helpful with directions and area wineries. The breakfast was served at 9am and had three courses: homemade croissants, fruit yogurt/smoothies, and two egg dishes (omelets/egg benedict). All items were yummy! We could not sit outside on the deck due to the BC fire smoke, but she set a lovely table inside. The house was quiet and relaxing. We will return again!

• Myrna (10/5): Above and beyond - This B&B was far above our expectations even though it had been recommended by a friend who said it was incredible. The home is elegant and yet warm and hospitable. The food prepared was above restaurant quality. We were very pleased.
• Sharon (10/5): - My husband and I stayed here on July 30th- August 1st. There is a sign on the entrance that says "Enter as Guests and Leave as Friends" That statement would sum up our visit! My husband is not a B and B fan. He would prefer the comforts of a high end hotel. He was very impressed! Our hosts were very welcoming. They were available if we needed anything but we had the luxury of enjoying this beautiful property with complete privacy. We stayed in the Chambord room on the lower level. Beds were very comfortable and there were lots of little touches such as wine glasses, bar fridge, robes and fancy soaps in the bathroom. We also had access to their in-ground pool and hot tub. Tara and were Liza very knowledgeable about the area and helped us plan our adventures to the local wineries. Breakfast... well , what can I say besides fantastic!! Three courses including warm croissants, homemade jam, fruit and a daily hot menu item... We would have no hesitation in highly recommending this property. {Perfect for a couples week-end! This is my first time writing a review and we have travelled extensively. A gem in the Okanagnan!!

Breakfast was so delicious with a beautiful view to sit and look at. Liza and Keyla we’re great hosts. Very accommodating and welcoming.
• chloe (10/5): Fabulous B&B in west Kelowna! - Keyla? Jeff and staff were absolurely charming! They were so helpful when we had any inquiries such as where to go for dinner, hikes and other adventures. I am not a big breakfast person, but the breaky IS unbeatable. Also, I loved all the pets they had! 2 dogs, 2 cats and a bird. All the animals were so loving, they truly added to the warm atmosphere of the house.

Breakfast, including homemade croissants were better than what high end French bakeries can boast. The views incredible, the pool inviting, and the gardens relaxing. Must place to stay in Kelowna while visiting award winning wineries.

It was a pleasure to get to know Keyla, who was charming, personal and gracious. Additionally, we enjoyed meeting her husband, Jeff, and her assistant, Amanda- both, adding to our experience. The location was great, having a prime panoramic view of Lake Okanagan and being close to some of the best wineries. The breakfasts were absolutely enjoyed and delicious. Another plus was the consistent wifi. As we recall, the sign outside the door says, " Come as guests, and leave as friends." And we did. • Kriselle (10/5): Excellent place for a weekend getaway - Keyla is a phenomenal host. The grounds are beautiful and is wrapped in gorgeous views. Keyla and Amanda provides every guest with amazing breakfasts and just made us feel very special. This was the first time my husband and I have stayed at a B&B and frankly, it has set a very high bar. Keyla is very knowledgeable of the area and was very helpful and on top of everything, she even booked us a dinner reservation! This place is definitely worth checking out!

• Paula (4/5): Okanagan Rest n Relaxation - Sadly I am unable to provide a 100% good review for Le Chateau du Lac. The pictures are very misleading this is one of those where for the website it was definitely staged! This is more of a homestay feel than a B&B. The owner was a gracious host and accommodating where needed. With extensive international travel and B&B stays as part of our accommodation experiences, sadly this was disappointing. Our choice of accommodation was based on pictures and information provided on Expedia. As per info on Expedia but not provided: There was no spa service nor mentioned upon check in, no concierge service, spa/tub was closed, no mention of laundry service, no Room Guest Directory in room to provide a guest with an outline of the accommodation or services available during your stay, no turndown service, there was air conditioning during the day but at night did not work and room did not have a window to allow air flow only a noisy fan, no room housekeeping, at breakfast we had a set menu but were not provided with a little menu so we knew what we were going to eat, no kettle in room to make a cuppa tea if wanted. This was meant to be a restful couple of days in The Okanagan for my husband who travels international very regularly. We made a decision to forgo our last night that was paid for already and book a night early and head onto our next accommodation destination in the Okanagan Valley where we knew we would feel more comfortable and receive what we were expecting.

We stayed here two years ago and gave it a 5/5 rating and it has once again lived up to its reputation. My husband and I love it here and we are already trying to figure out when we can come again. The location is fabulous. The pool is always a hit for us as well as the nice quiet comfy ambiance. Keyla and Jeff were fun hosts and served great breakfasts. Don't hesitate to book here.....you will not be disappointed

The view of the lake is very enjoyable. The location is close to many wineries and a short drive to downtown Kelowna. Best of all is the welcoming and friendly reception from our hostess, Keyla.

The breakfasts are very good and filling, no need for a lunch with those breakfast.Loved all the little extra touches. The views from the garden are breathtaking and must say very well kept gardens, very relaxing and tranquil. I would definitely recommend the beautiful B & B and give it a 5 star rating.
• Mike (10/5): Incredible find - I got really lucky in finding this place at 9:30pm May 11th. I waited to long to book a room and the entire town was sold out. They welcomed me into their home at 10:30 when I arrived unannounced at their front door. The value of Le Chateau du Lac is incredible. It is a beautiful home situated on the hill over looking the lake. Everything is first class and very private, incredible king size bed, the best shower I have ever had, telus optik tv on demand with full access to all the channels. Keyla is an amazing cook and very gracious. Her breakfasts were healthy, filling and very very tasty. I am truly grateful for the experience.

• Jo (10/5): Beautiful B &B in wine country - This is a very laid-back environment for a get-away. The staff is warm and welcoming, the decor is romantic and spa-like, and the property is manicured and beautiful. Susie and her staff made us feel at home, welcoming us to the use of the home, yet also pampered us with delicious and full breakfasts, water for our day trips, and evening night caps. The location is excellent for getting around in the Okanagan, practically central if you are interested in day tripping south to Penticton/ Oliver and north to Kelowna/ Mission/ Lake country. (So many wineries to visit). The view of Lake Okanagan and Quails gate winery from the deck every morning and every evening can't be matched and contribute to a feeling of health and well- being. What more can you ask for!
