Guest Reviews
- G (10/5): - Nice location
- Jeffrey (10/5): - Perfect stay in Stanley for a night
- Larry (10/5): - All ok
- Joe (10/5): - Great place to stay in Stanley. Nice rooms, restaurant next door. My second stay and if padding through Stanley I’ll stay again.
- Doug (8/5): - Clean room and the restaurant had great food.
- Joel (8/5): - Very convenient to everything in Stanley.
- Ray (8/5): - Weather and time have taken a toll on building materials and paint or stain
- Anthony M. (8/5): - It’s a older place that creaks a lot and not very well insulated
- JULIE (10/5): - Cannot complain about anything. Have to just make note that the outside lights outside our door as well and several doors were burned out. It was difficult to see even the room numbers as well as the key placement box on the door. But it’s not a complaint as much as just a note. And I forgot to let the desk clerk know before we left.
- Corrie (8/5): - Staff was very friendly, room was ok—carpet could use an update but the bed was comfy and the shower was amazing.
- wendy (8/5): - I love the hot springs and how close everything is located
- James (8/5): - Hotel was OK. Bartenders were fun.
- Kirby (8/5): - Stayed one night. It was quiet. What we didn't like: the bathroom. Toilet was made for midgets, showerhead was small, tub drain was very slow. Stood in 3" of water while you showered. We didnt need it, but there isnt air conditioning. A floor fan and wall heater service the room. Beds were comfy, tv and remote are not user friendly. Room was clean, floor squeaky in bathroom.
- JoDene R (8/5): - It was mostly quiet, lovely view.. However the bed was too old. Miserable and creaky.
- Mary (10/5): - They had their own hot springs which was fun. Restaurant was very good.
- Susan (10/5): - Beautiful view of Sawtooth Mountains. Hot springs on site.
- Barbara (6/5): - This Mountain Lodge is a busy motel/RV park at a major mountain highway intersection. The advertised hot springs are a significant walk away from the property, inaccessible to us. A requested handicapped room was not available, so we climbed the stairs for our two-night stay. The room was quiet and comfortable, but the wooden decking outside was noisy as people walked by. The floor behind the bathroom door was not clean, nor the perimeters next to the walls. Outside seating somewhere would have been nice: there is covered decking, but few chairs. The resort-owned restaurant had delicious, reasonably priced lunch and dinner, but the limited breakfast hours prohibited us from having any breakfast, with no nearby alternative.
- Stanley (10/5): - Views.
- June (8/5): - This is a beautiful, historic hotel that makes an interesting stop on your way on Hwy. 395. It has been lovingly restored. The only shortcoming was that the bed was a bit lumpy, maybe part of the historic accuracy.
- Kylle (8/5): Would stay here again - This place is not fancy or over the top but it is laid back and perfect for a weekend getaway. Nothing fancy with rooms. All the food around the hotel is amazing. We didn’t have a single bad meal
- elizabeth (10/5): - Very nice and peaceful. Close to lake, short drive down the road for great star gazing. Wish we could have stayed longer. Only downfall was the restaurant. Waited 15 minutes and not one person greeted us. Then I had to find someone walking by and ask to be put on the list for a seat after I realized other people in line were on a list. Our server never even said hello, just asked what we wanted. The food was good though and the server did meet all our needs during our meal.
- tina (8/5): - Room was clean. Mattress could use an update. Good location.
- William (8/5): - Good place to stay. Front desk could be a bit more friendly upon check in
- Erin (6/5): - Mountain Lodge was clean, staff was nice. Nothing luxurious, but worked for what we needed.
- Mike (10/5): Idaho adventure base camp - Stayed here 4 nights and it was the perfect location for starting our adventures each day. Nothing fancy but was clean and comfortable. The hot springs were nice after a long day of hiking.
- Lauren (10/5): - Just an amazing spot!! The hot springs were so cool!
- Matt (10/5): - Loved the view of the mountains from our room! Sunset was amazing! Restaurant very good! Rooms were perfect with everything we needed!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Highly recommend - Clean and comfortable place to stay. And a beautiful view of the mountains as well! Staff is friendly and helpful and the hot springs is a great added bonus! Really good value for the money.
- Thomas (10/5): - Excellent view of Sawtooth Mtns. Restaurant prime rib and trout superb as well as drinks. And don't forget to reserve time for complimentary hot springs (best just before sunset).
- William (8/5): - Everything was as advertised. No frills room. Very clean and Comfortable. Convenient location for Hikers near Redfish Lake and Alice - Toxaway loop trail. Would stay there again. Very friendly staff.
- Cole (10/5): - Great area. Walkable to many places
- Allison (8/5): - There is free parking at this hotel. It was quiet and comfortable. Hot showers and clean beds. The restaurant adjacent to the hotel has some great food!
- Jentry (10/5): - loved the view to the mountains. there was a grocery store, gas station and restaurant all right there. we didn't get signed up for one of the hot springs but heard they were good.
- Loren (10/5): - stay was very pleasant
- Ruth (10/5): - This was a beautiful place to stay while exploring Stanley. The views and the hot spring could not be beat.
- Tedi (10/5): - Beautiful convenient setting with a view of the gorgeous sawtooth. Close to everything. On town. Great music at the saloon next door. Rooms were clean and well appointed.
- FNU (8/5): - Loved the location and the rooms
- Kimberley (10/5): - THE ONLY THING WAS OUR ROOM HAD NO AC BUT LUCKILY IT WASN'T TOO HOT
- Sada (10/5): - Wonderful scenery and stay!
- Jack (8/5): - My hands are full of slivers from the stair railings. They definitely need to be sanded and finished. The food and service in the restaurant was very poor.
- Tiffany (10/5): - Everything was perfect. Thank you!
- JENNINE (10/5): - Stanley is just magic! Lots of hiking, sigts to see and peace in every direction! Redfish Lake, Stanley Lake and besutiful scenery around every corner! Tons of food options in town! Mountain Village is the center of it!
- Jamie (10/5): - The staff at the hotel was wonderful. So helpful.
- Brian (10/5): - Nice place in a beautiful area
- kimberly (10/5): - A homey property with a beautiful mountain view and a friendly-welcoming staff. They also have a restaurant next door with amazing kitchen staff who prepare the tastiest food.
- Don (10/5): - Hot springs
- Elizabeth (10/5): - Great place!
- Noelle (8/5): - Beautiful area, loved the promixity of shops and the restaurant. Would definitely visit again and recommend!
- Nihad (10/5): - Super clean and comfortable
- Tamara (10/5): - Was a great room. Clean warm and great
- Sadie Montana (10/5): - great spot. nice rooms and magical hot springs. convenient and remote and beautiful all at once
- Allison (10/5): - Excellent, dog friendly property!!! Great surrounding eats. Amazing hot springs with beautiful views. Plus one free beer included with stay.
- Lori (8/5): - All was great over all. I reserved a single bed room and we ended up with two double beds in a handicap room. Did not appreciate the handicap tub rail. It made it hard to get in and out of the shower, and our bed was small. Otherwise, we enjoyed the hot springs and the rustic charm. The maintenance guy right next to our room 117 was playing a radio kinda loud early in the morning. Banging noise at times.
- Thomas (10/5): - Good location. Restaurant and bar.
- Amy (10/5): 10/10 recommend - Always have so much fun. Beautiful town and great food. Always enjoy staying here.
- Petr (10/5): - Safe
- Parker (10/5): - Always a wonderful stay! The attention the detail is clear and this place has a ton to offer. The new hot spring tubs are great and the restaurant is always delicious.
- Sandy (6/5): - It was ok, the bed wasn't very comfortable, but overall it was ok
- Jennifer (10/5): - Amazing views!
- Carolyn (8/5): - The natural hot spring with view of Sawtooth Mountains has always been great!
- Lona (10/5): - We had a great stay. The staff was helpful. The restaurant was great both the food and the waitress. Walking distance to the shopping both for gifts and food.
- Savanna (10/5): - The perfect stay for our trip to Stanley. The rooms were simple and clean. The location was ideal with walkable food options. The hot springs were clean and had beautiful views!
- Susan (8/5): - Property and visit were okay. Elevator needed paint job and looked shabby.
- Gary W. (10/5): - Location and service's available
- Collin (4/5): - Our sink drain leaked into the waste basket. The walls seem paper thin. I don't know why anyone would go to, or stay in Stanley, ID if it wasn't for a relative's wedding.
- David (10/5): - No
- Paul (10/5): - Really liked the stay, very comfortable and nicely run.
breakfast was lacking.
- Marlin (6/5): - Room could use a deep cleaning & upgrades. Linens old but clean overall was average.
Noisy from the room above us & there was a bar adjacent to the property & music was very very loud.
- Victor (10/5): - I love this place. The hot spring, the restaurant and bar, the area. Third visit .
- Mushtaq (10/5): - Access to Hot Springs
- Jeff (10/5): Great - Clean room, kind service, i wish i could stay longer!
- Corey (6/5): - It was a convenient place to stay for a good price, however I found hair/crumb in the sheets and a dog was barking & howling in the room next door early in the morning for over an hour. It wasn’t awful, just not ideal
- Heiko (8/5): - Small motel in central location, rooms could benefit from an upgrade
- John (10/5): - The property offered the use of their onsite hot springs to guests.
- David (6/5): - Pretty area
- Hillary (6/5): - It was an enjoyable stay other than the neighbors talking and blasting music until 2:00 am. The view would be wonderful if i could have seen the mountains through the smoke.
- Jeff (6/5): - Internet / TV not working, front desk was unwilling to assist to resolve.
- vern (10/5): - Awesome stay highly recomended staff we're awesome view was spectacular. Will definitely be back.
- Clyde (4/5): - There were several forest fires in the area and the lodge would not allow us to cancel our reservation so we lost our money. This place is also WAY TO CROWDED.
- Haruka (8/5): We would stay here again in the future! - No wifi the night we stayed, no AC, no bathroom fan but the access to the natural hot springs was very nice, working fridge and microwave and token for free drink at the restaurant next to the motel were great!
- Darren (6/5): Just alright - If you go here not expecting much, it should be ok. Rooms and bathrooms are DATED, no A/C, and the matresses were not so great.
- Davalee (8/5): - I love staying at Mountain Village. Always clean and great views. We had 2 issues neither of our key cards worked and I have no knob on the heating unit on the wall to turn on or maintain the heat.
- Deborah Li (10/5): - I enjoyed the hot spring!
- Bryce (8/5): - Nice hotel, rooms could use a bit of a refresh but they are tidy and beds are comfy. Hot spring is a must just make sure to reserve a time, some people don't so you might get some company during your time.
- Michelle (10/5): - We just LOVED Stanley and the Mountain Village Inn! The Hot Springs was awesome, and the food next door was phenomenal!!! The room was clean and had a fridge and microwave, but our room didn't have A/C and it was very hot so be sure and ask for a newer room with Air! The bakery down the street was great and the grocery was right across from the lodge which was very convenient! I wish we could have stayed here longer..it was our favorite!! Be sure and go to Stanley and Redfish Lake during your stay!
- Ellis (8/5): - No complaints. The room was clean and comfortable. Our stay was in late July and was a very warm day. The room had no air conditioning but the modest price of the room more than made up for the minor discomfort. I would stay here again.
- Eric (8/5): Good stay, just a few simple comfort issues. - The stay at the Mountain Village Lodge is in a beautiful area the hotel is clean well maintained however the rooms during summer need airflow or fans put in. we had to sleep with the window all the way open and even the door cracked up until about midnight.
- Maria (10/5): - Definitely not the most updated property but the views were amazing and the access to the hot springs was an incredible benefit. No other place in Stanley can meet the value of this hotel.
- Dr Jerry (10/5): - Best location in Stanley
- Cheryl (6/5): - The room itself was nice and clean. However, no AC and the summers get hot and smokey. The front desk staff do not give you a clue about where your room is if it's not in the front of the building.
- Cheryl (6/5): - The room was a nice size and clean. No hair dryer. No AC and it can get hot in Stanley in the summer and smokey. The front desk doesn't give you a clue about where your room is if it is not in the front of the building.
- steph (8/5): - I really liked the hot spring that was part of the hotel. You walk down a sketchy path and soak in the warm spring in a shed.
- Jorge (8/5): - It was kinda hot in Stanley the day we stopped by with a high of 85F, the hotel does not have air-conditioning so it took a long bath and staying very still up until 12 midnight to catch up on some needed sleep.
- Linda (4/5): - Very well worn rooms, not friendly staff.
- Heike (10/5): - Large room; Mountain View; restaurant accommodated my celiac/dietary restrictions; staff was nice
- Clifton (10/5): - Restaurant food just ok....expensive
- Simon (8/5): - Rustic property in beautiful surroundings.
- ANGELA (10/5): - It was a short walk to enjoy the hot springs tub located on this property!
- TRINA (10/5): - Always convenient
- Cathy (8/5): too warm.... too cold!! - biggest problem was room temperature. could not regulate the heat. The heater would come on, and get very warm. Then go off and not come on again until the room was like ice!! very uncomfortable.
