My ambitions were genuinely modest—a bed, four walls, and zero human interaction. Basically the luxury hotel equivalent of going to Target in sweatpants. Then the concierge offered a complimentary upgrade. Here’s where everything changed. I walked through those doors into my room and had what can only be described as a spiritual experience in thread count. And let me be clear I’ve stayed at places. But this? This was different. I literally looked around and thought, “How do I transfer my mortgage here?” Everything was immaculate in that obsessive French way that makes you feel both pampered and slightly judged for existing. The room service arrived hot and plated like it was heading to a Michelin inspector. The bathroom was basically a marble sanctuary the kind where you contemplate your entire life’s purpose while soaking. The bedding felt like I was sleeping on a cloud that had somehow become thread count 1000+. But the glassware. The glassware. Every water glass, cocktail coupe, and juice vessel felt like holding history in your hands. It’s the kind of detail that makes you realize why other hotels exist to remind us how far we are from this. I loved every minute. I’m already booking my next stay. Baccarat: Because sometimes “self-care” means admitting you’ll never leave once you arrive.

The rooms are beautiful and incredibly spacious, with floor to ceiling windows and stunning marble bathrooms that feel both elegant and luxurious. The service was excellent from start to finish. The gym is huge, the pool is beautiful and the spa was one of the best experiences I’ve had. Best of all, the food was outstanding. I live just a few blocks away and booked a staycation here to prepare for an event while taking a little time to recharge, especially with a new baby at home. I wanted a place where I could truly relax, and Baccarat delivered exactly that. This is what 5 star service should feel like. From the glass bottled water to the beautiful tea kettle in the room, every detail felt thoughtful, refined and luxurious. I also really appreciated how promptly and graciously the housekeeping team responded when I got an insect bite overnight and immediately changed my room. Thank you to the entire team for the impeccable service and for creating such a polished, relaxing, and truly 5 star experience.

The manager personally greeted us at the elevator and generously offered to show us around, taking us on a tour of the hotel’s beautiful public spaces. That level of hospitality, particularly for guests who had just walked in off the street, was truly impressive and speaks volumes about the service and pride they take in the property. Known for its exquisite crystal, the lighting fixtures and chandeliers throughout are absolutely stunning and give the entire space a refined, almost magical feel. Despite that grandeur, the hotel still feels warm, intimate, and inviting. It strikes a perfect balance as a boutique hotel—elegant and very well appointed while comfortable and welcoming at the same time. We will be booking a stay soon! I’m already looking forward to experiencing Afternoon Tea in the beautiful dining space, having a gorgeous drink in the fashionable bar, and visiting the spa.

The Baccarat is situated perfectly in NYC as it has everything and anything very close by so you really are in the best spot when visiting. I usually mention everyone by name but at this point you all know who you are and how much you mean to my family. I do this because you make such a positive impression and really make our stay so personal each time we visit NY. I was happy to meet Israel, the new GM, and appreciate that you stopped by during our NYE dinner. I also was introduced to Mirela who offered a very kind gesture to my family. I thank you so very much. You both should know that the team you have is the very best in hospitality and they do everything with such sincerity. For this reason, I will only stay at the Baccarat when I am in New York for business or pleasure. In my opinion, there is no better hotel in the city if not the world! Thank you once again!!

She gave us a detailed and fascinating introduction to the hotel, sharing the history of the brand, the tradition of crystal craftsmanship, and many other interesting insights. Debby, the bartender, was equally impressive—extremely kind, friendly, and highly professional. She prepared several different cocktails for us, and each one was outstanding. Overall, it was an experience unlike anything we have had before. Truly exceptional—nothing but praise! ✨🥂

Upon arrival we were greeted by their guest ambassador Jelena who was very welcoming. She gave us a tour of the property and ensured our check in went smoothly. Jelena also sent a bottle of champagne and tray with chocolates and fruits to our room,along with a personal welcome note,which made our welcoming even more special. Our room was very nice and big,and the crystal chandeliers depicted the spirit of the hotel perfectly and made us feel like we were in Baccarat(France). After check in we walked to 5th Ave to shop and it took us only few mins. During the evening Jelena booked us a table at the hotel bar and we had delicious cocktails,while admiring the impressive art and chandelier collection. After cocktails we walked to Radio City for our concert,which was only 2 blocks away,which definitely places this hotel in an excellent location. In the morning we ordered room service that arrived very promptly and it was delicious. Since our stay was only 24h we only had time for a quick walk around the lobby (which is so beautiful) and shopping at their boutique where you can find the famous Baccarat Rouge 540 perfume. Our check out was very quick and our car was waiting for us downstairs(make sure you call for your car in advance)along with Jelena who wanted to make sure that everything went great. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you want excellent service,beautiful enterier,spacious rooms,perfect location,and i will definitely stay here again! It was our first time in New York, and we stayed for five days — overall, it was a wonderful adventure. Unfortunately, the first impression was disappointing. The airport transfer arranged by the hotel was below expectations: the driver looked unkempt and the car was not clean. Upon arrival, the doorman was very friendly, but there was a strong smell of alcohol, which made us uncomfortable and affected our mood. Thankfully, the negatives ended there. The room was excellent, the service and breakfasts were A+. The hotel staff, especially Kelvin, were professional and welcoming. The house car ride to Central Park with a fantastic driver was a highlight of our stay. Thank you, Baccarat, for the positive moments. Will I return? I’m not sure. Despite everything, the first impression unfortunately left a lasting aftertaste.

Our room was immaculate and the mini bar with Baccarat crystal is a stand out. Our server, Taylor, was very attentive! - kirsty_mMelbourne (4/5): Poor experience for afternoon tea - Baccarat hotel high tea This was meant to be such a highlight of our 10 day trip to NYC. I researched multiple high tea options before deciding on and booking tea at The Baccarat Hotel, the Tinsel Tea, as it was in December. The room itself where tea is served is spectacular. Beautifully furnished, colour coordinated and luxurious. The service fell well short of what I would expect from The Baccarat Hotel and its reputation for excellance. We had to ask to have our coats hung up, champagne glasses weren’t cleared, the finger food on the plates were not run through so we had to ask to see the menu again to identify what we were eating. I had to ask for milk 3 times and had trouble getting any servers attention. We even had dead flowers on our table. The food was not amazing. The things that were good included the lobster roll, the coronation chicken, the deviled egg and the chocolate mousse. The scones were just not scones. They were crunchy and shallow like biscuits. I’m not sure if that is an American thing, but in the UK and Australia, these would not be called scones. I have since had another high tea in America, and they had normal scones. The tea was good and the beautiful pots kept the tea hot for a good length of time. I would not recommend or return to The Baccarat for afternoon tea. It was an expensive, disappointing experience.

After our first night I had a couple minor things I was going to mention to the hotel but before I could, one of the staff (Blossom) reached out to me to make sure everything is was great. She handled the issues right away and made everything perfect. She was so professional and kind and she continued to make sure our stay was fabulous all week! - 930jamesg (10/5): World Class Experience - I spent three nights at the Baccarat Hotel last week as I was in town for business. If you are looking for a world class experience then you should look no further. This hotel is spectacular and the people who work there are even better! You are greeted by Kelvin and the guys out front like family! I thank all of you for being so warm during my stay... Coco, Baboo, Saadad, Doumbia, & Sam are just tops at their craft. You check in and the room is ready! You are always greeted by the same kind faces in Fresia, Matthew, and Tanbir. Always so positive and welcoming! And...a nice upgrade was offered! Big thank you here!! I walk into their Grand Salon that is so well appointed with crystal you feel as if you are in the Palace of Versailles! I am met by Ivani who once again is, warm, welcoming, and gracious! She is wonderful and offered a nice cappucinno! I mention all of this detail because that is what they do best is pay attention to the smallest things that shows how much they care about you! I needed a short notice reservation and presto...Rajae (concierge) delivers! She does it effortlessly and really is such a pleasure to converse with about many things. Rafael... (concierge) spent time with a friend of mine who was in town. His first time in the Grand Salon and Rafael made sure he was comfortable and couldn't do enough for him. So professional this concierge team and really connected in the city. They have a boutique of crystal & and I had the pleasure of meeting Leen & Claudette. Both of them couldn't have been nicer and such a pleasure to speak with both of you! I have many of my meeting in the Grand Salon and Aida always makes sure I have a place to conduct the meeting. I mean, she goes above and beyond to ensure that I am happy! I thank you from my heart! The team in the Grand Salon are like an orchestra that hits every note, every time! They remember my drink or what wine I had the last time I was in town and are such a pleasure to be around. When you are away from your family they make sure that I feel at home and do it with ease. This team of Nasir, Roland, Solomon, Karma, Frederick and many others are just like seeing family! A big thanks to all of you! I spoke with Kristen who always makes a point of saying hello... To all of the new members of the team I thank you you for taking the time to say hello as well! I book my room with Patrice, who is by far one of the nicest people I have been associated with. She gets back to me in a timely manner and really wants the best situation each time I make a reservation. I thank you so very much Patrice!! You are the best! I stayed on the 10th floor this stay and the housekeeping team on this floor was over the top! The order in which they put all of my things is incredible. The even place my hats on the bust in the room which made me laugh when I returned. Thank you so much!! The gym is fantastic and the location is right in the middle of Manhattan so you are perfectly situated in the this city that has everything you could ever dream of... I could not imagine ever staying at any other hotel in New York! See you in a couple weeks with my family this time!!

The staff made our stay even better. Good attitudes, smiles everyone and most definitely gave us a welcome home vibe. We felt so safe. But I would love to give Shawndell his flowers. He was the BEST! He made sure my friend and I had everything that we needed to have so that we could enjoy our stay. Next time I visit New York, I will most definitely be staying here again and it is all because of how warm and welcoming Shawndell made us feel! If you're reading this reviewing, I HIGHLY recommend you to stay at the Baccarat hotel. Ask for Shawn, he will most definitely take care of you!

- 281mavit (10/5): Excellent service. - Excellent service from the moment we arrived. The doormen took our bags at the curb and they were delivered to our suite within a few minutes of our arrival. They greeted us by name every time we entered and left the hotel throughout our stay. Shawn checked us in and walked us to our very well-appointed room and oriented us to the hotel. He was friendly but professional. When we checked out, he ran into us in the elevator, addressed us by name, and inquired not just about our stay but also about the show he remembered we’d planned to see. He walked us to the desk to check out. When we arrived there was a tea tray of fruit and pastries awaiting us as well as boxes of chocolate by the beds. The two bedroom suite was very comfortable. The showers were a good size with reasonable water pressure. Natasha from housekeeping was thorough and provided extra amenities immediately on request and with a smile. We had plenty of fresh towels, soaps, etc. The location is great, a quick walk to Fifth Avenue shopping, Central Park, Times Square, and Broadway. The fitness center was more than adequate for me (several treadmills, elliptical machines, and spin bikes with one Peloton and one rowing machine plus free weights, several benches, and a Smith machine) though my husband and son who weight lift would have wanted more. It was quiet and I was usually the only attendee when I used it (before 8am). The cardio equipment was mostly Technogym. Everything was clean and well-maintained. There is also a small indoor pool that we did not use. We did not get to use the spa but hope to return soon for that part of the experience. We also did not dine in the restaurants. We did use in-room dining. The food was excellent though expensive (which was not unexpected in NYC). Highly recommend.

It is not only stunning and beautiful, it is well run and the customer service is off the charts! Loved working with Matthew upon check in; Chris in the bar; Natasha in housekeeping; and Kelvin who greets you at the door, set the tone for a wonderful stay! Without hesitation, the Baccarat is worth the visit!

Speaking of lights they had to be all on or all off ~ kind of a odd setup. I did sleep like a baby in the bed with beautiful linens. The tub in our room was interesting ~ needed a ladder to get out of it lol The food was so delicious. Service and everyone was so kind

Customer service in a post-Covid world has been lacking at many hotels, but the Baccarat is one of the top I've experienced in the world. We will continue to use this property as our NYC spot. - DF26 (10/5): Beyond lovely - What a lovely property. We have stayed at many, many handfuls of NYC high-end properties. This one was better. My wife and I spent 6 glorious nights at the Baccarat last week. The location worked for us as we were equidistant to plans which we had uptown and downtown. There were nearby subway options which got us where we were going quickly. Certainly faster than had we traveled on the roads. We were able to walk to the Broadway theaters which we went to. The gym and pool were both excellent as I was able to take advantage of both after running in nearby Central Park. The lounge, dining room and bar are all exquisite. Even the housekeeping staff went above and beyond as Flore took things to a higher level each day. She helped make the experience special. We look forward to returning! Well done.

He was really patient and kind and he cared about our overall outcome and he wanted to make sure our experience was super VIP which it was he went over in above for our clients. I would love to have another opportunity to work with him and his team they are phenomenal, but overall he’s exceptional and he should be promoted for the way he handles the VIP clients.

It was luxurious and romantic — how can it not when everything you drink from is Baccarat crystal? Spa de La Mer was excellent, as well as the pool experience. The concierge was great too, helping me secure a reservation that is easily in the top 5 hardest to get in the city. My fiancé and I had a special night that was largely enhanced by the Baccarat. It’ll hold a special place in our hearts!

Staff could not be more helpful or courteous,the training practice here must be exemplary. Our room was the perfect size and turn down service always nice to have. And,of course,it’s located in an area laden with every store you could wish for and some of the best restaurants in town. Please keep it up as we shall be back.

Shawndell at the front desk went out of his way to make my experience even better. I would book again. Location was a short walk from the park by all the designer stores. Busy area, but the street the hotel is on is less busy. My room was quiet.
