Guest Reviews
- Sarah (10/5): - Great location. Excellent staff. Rooms clean and liked the multiple beds and bathrooms available in hotel room.
- Janet (6/5): - Check in woman friendly but knew very little about area. Subsequent staff was friendly, interested in feedback and knowledgeable of area. Facilities/breakfast standard and adequate, but room was very small with noisy AC and mini fridge. Most guests were oil workers with early start times. Not bad if you want a 7 a.m. start of the day, but not if you want to sleep in a bit. Located pretty far from "downtown"... not really walk-able. The Buckskin restaurant, however, was very recommendable.... very good food, very friendly workers and the highlight of Killdeer for us.
- Ricky (10/5): - No carpet on floor
- David (8/5): - The staff Jose and Rhonda? (The morning lady) were 110% fantastic. The breakfast although a little early was also fantastic. Very quiet. Laundry. We also recommended it to someone we met on the road.
- April (4/5): The rooms had a bad smell. - Friendly staff. Breakfast, multiple choices. No elevators to second floor, stairs only.
- Stacey (10/5): Would stay again! - We had a great stay on our way through. It was a very clean room, cozy bed, hot breakfast, kind staff! Would definitely stay again! Thank you!
- Marvin (4/5): - The rooms were very small & the shower was nearly impossible to get into
- toni (10/5): - It was convenient
- David (10/5): - The property was close to intersection and easy to get in and out
- Kathy (6/5): - Very small rooms , but very comfortable, great beds!
- Cheyenne (10/5): - Really clean room w nice amenties , though the room is slightly smaller. This is oerfect pit stop since it is right off freeway and close to 2 gas stations. Staff were nice and friendly. Killdeer is a small town and we visited on july 4th and it offered breakfast when all restaurants closed for the cslsbration.
- ray (10/5): - Was a newer hotel very clean
- Jorge (2/5): - Terrible hotel. Place was dirty and smelly. Will not stay here ever again.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - It’s just so small
- Megan (10/5): - Great value! Breakfast was awesome and the staff were very helpful!
- Allan (10/5): Good value - Good value - needed to rack it overnight in Killdeer to meet an AG vendor and this was easy and affordable.
- Jeanne (10/5): - The Hotel Dakota was a convenient location for an overnight on a recent business trip. The staff are friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable with nice linens and room was clean and had adequate space. The lobby and breakfast areas were also clean and welcoming. We will definitely stay at the Hotel Dakota again if we are in the area.
- CINDY (8/5): - The staff are friendly, attentive and helpful. Attention to detail ( remotes missing, and then was given wrong remote, tub plug missing but room clean and comfortable
- Kristy (8/5): - Alittle pricey for a small town but what do you expect for oil field territory.
- Jesse (10/5): - Hot breakfast
- Edward (8/5): - An old property but well maintained and the room had everything you need!
- Chad (8/5): - n
- Marine (8/5): Convenient hotel close to Theodore Roosevelt NP - Nice room and friendly staff.
- Charles (10/5): - Great economy hotel clean quiet and great breakfast
- Frank (6/5): - Cheap place to stay smelt kinda funny though
- Patricia (10/5): - Enjoyed our stay
- Linda (10/5): - Highly recommend
- Verified traveler (8/5): Perfect stay - Good, clean, safe, and comfortable stay. The breakfast was perfect. The bathroom facet leaked, we did advise front desk before we checked out.
- Ricky (10/5): - The manager was so nice and helpful.
- Valentina (8/5): - Overall, a great experience.
Disclaimer is we had top floor room.
Had it been a lower floor, the experience would have been horrid.
Hard floors, cowboys with boots.
Do the math.
If you love quality, do not go to Garcia’s.
Convince store coffeee tastes better, costs significantly less $.
Great breakfast.
- Theresa (10/5): Great place to stay - E we got in at 11:00 pm. The gentleman at the desk was very pleasant and helpful. We were even greeted with fresh cookies. Hot breakfast in the morning was very good.
- Sara (8/5): - Very nice property. Sits on a hill
- alexander (10/5): - Lovely hotel and so nice to my dog!
- Farrell (10/5): - Nothing
- Inge (8/5): - Nice place
- Janet (8/5): - I had a satisfactory stay, although my room was on the second floor and no elevator. I wish there was a way to request a first floor room when you book on Expedia.
- Javanna (4/5): - It had a bad smell throughout the property, mold on ceiling and room very outdated
- Roy (8/5): - Good
- LANCE (10/5): - Best place and price in Killdeer. Staff is fantastic.
- Camille (10/5): - Its great for the price they have
- Randolph (10/5): - Early breakfast is always a good plus and they make cookies in the evening
- Randy (10/5): - Love how early the breakfast is, not many are early enough for us oilfield workers so it’s convenient and pleasant
- Verified traveler (8/5): Clean, Friendly Staff, but you can hear noise - Friendly staff who is kind and helpful! The biggest drawback of this hotel is that you can hear noise from the hallways and the room above you. The staff works hard to keep it clean, so that isn’t the issue.
- Ryan (10/5): - It is clean and quiet
- Matthew (2/5): - when i checked in the room wasn’t ready. I waited 2 hours and the room still wasn’t ready. Hotel staff then said they would move me into a suite free of charge. She gave me the keys for the new room and when i went to it the room was dirty, unmade dirty sheets and had been smoked in. I went back to the front desk and they apologized, but still had to wait another hour for a room to be cleaned.
- Jeannine (10/5): - Excellent service!
- Keith (10/5): - Staff very friendly
- Terri (8/5): - This property has recently changed hands and the liquor license was not transferred so the little whiskey drinking area is not open any more. They do have a patio area out back that is nice. Clientele is mostly oil guys and workmen. Hence, the black sheets and navy blue towels! We did have a wonderful time at the Pipe. It is a little local watering hole within walking distance. We had the taco special, 2 for one drinks and got to play bingo for $1 or $2 dollars a card! It was a blast! (Mary a local, won twice!) Locals couldn't have been nicer! Highlight from our trip!
- Lynn (10/5): - All good
- Ann (6/5): - Poorly staffed but the lone worker did all he could by himself. The road going to the hotel was not paved.
Bare bones hotel. Made for oil workers not people looking for a nice hotel experience. No hair dryers. Complimentary snack was 1 bottle of water and 1 bag of pretzels!
Had a fridge anyway!
- Mina (8/5): Would come back - Decent breakfast. Excellent service. Quiet
- Douglas (10/5): - it was very nice and close to town
- Brenda (10/5): - This was the perfect spot to stay while visiting family in the area. Easy access and the lady who checked us in was awesome.
- Karely (10/5): 10 stars!! - Room was very clean, smoke free and the breakfast is pretty good! Parking is very spacious, there is a gas station across the hotel and down the street a restaurant, gym and a few spots! I recommend it here. The staff is always very friendly.
- Daniel (10/5): - Staff was friendly. Breakfast inclusion was great. No issues what so ever.
- Leonard (10/5): - Convenient parking
- Jolene (10/5): - It was a great place to stay at!
- Karl (10/5): - The provided breakfast was huge. In the evening they provided baked chocolate chip cookies. Great conversation with staff, even tips getting around town and where to go. Very comfortable.
- Adam (10/5): - Very friendly staff, clean rooms and facilities.
- Elizabeth (8/5): - It was.just okay
- Joshua (8/5): - The lady that checked us in was super friendly and helpful!
- Lisa (10/5): - All the Employees are super nice and so are the owners..
- John (4/5): - The room is small, but okay. The recliner was comfy and there was a fridge and a 700 watt microwave. Plus a counter in lieu of a desk, desk chair was comfy. Bathroom was also tiny, but clean. Can’t comment on breakfast, because we didn’t have it! The bed was extremely comfortable! The air conditioner was soothingly noisy. So that’s the good stuff - oh, plus the bottles of water and crackers in the room.
However…why the hotel called several times between 7:30 and 7:45, to see if we were still coming, was both puzzling and annoying. We were in the dark in an h familiar place and had trouble even finding the place! Then the clerk said he had given us a second floor room - no elevator! With luggage and a cooler and a heavy camera bag, we asked for a first floor room. He wasn’t happy and CHARGED US AN EXTRA $10 FOR A FIRST FLOOR ROOM!!! Outrageous for a minimal room. We will definitely not be back!
- Daniel C (8/5): - Quiet, clean, comfortable. Breakfast was marginal.
- Denise (8/5): - Location was great easy to find and convenient to highways
