• Sureswaran (8/5): OK.But proper management can improve the place. - Make sure that hey dont push you to the brown coloured apartments. When you book a hotel room, they should give you a hotel room. Demand for it. The Apartments are terrible. But they will insists that you go there.
• Adriaan (4/5): A nightmare - Marina Island Pangkor resort & hotel - No valet service at arrival to our hotel (D'Ocean) Internet access was weak. No spa facilities & not informed by staff where to find this. Snorkellling is not at the hotel but rather at the beach (Coral Beach). There is no proper beach at the hotel although it is advertised. The restaurant food was awful with many items out of stock (no soft drinks, no burgers, no lamb, no cheese cake etc). Our steak on the first evening was a minute steak not ribeye, very small and so tough you can make a handbag out of it. The second evening our fish was frozen and raw in the middle. Coffee in the morning was cold. On departure the staff did not even ask if we enjoyed our stay - this is basic hotel etiquiette.

• Jason (6/5): - The air conditioner was loud, making it hard to sleep, and the wifi was very bad. The wifi would only work when one is in the second bedroom. The organization of the hotel room and toilet was quite strange, such as the shower head being outside of the bath tub and the arrangement of the sink being far from the toilet. When we finish using the toilet, we have to pass by the wet floor where we shower to the sink. Quite strange.

Also got failure handle shower and the big mistake is the wire for water heater shower not install properly may cause short circuit and danger to guest. Please ask hotel staff to change it. The rest is Nice. We love to come again for our next vacation to perak next time. Thanks expedia & marina hotel

• Yap (4/5): - Booked and paid for a 3 bedroom unit more than a month before the check-in date.. However, was informed by the hotel receptionist that the hotel has no record of my reservation upon checking-in at the hotel . The hotel receptionist claimed that Expedia has not notified the hotel about the reservation despite I have shown them the paid and confirmed voucher. We were made to wait for about half an hour before we were informed that the hotel is able to find a 3 bedroom unit for us. Everything is fine after the check-in. The unit is clean and spacious. We have also enjoyed watching the fireworks on Christmas eve from the balcony. When I woke up the next morning. I noticed the television cabinet is soaking wet due to the water leaking from the air conditioner just above it. A mobile phone that is placed on the television cabinet is soaking wet too. As expected, we are not able to turn on the mobile phone anymore due it has been soaking in the water for hours. Maintenance staff was sent to check on the air conditioner after we have called the hotel receptionist regarding the water leaking issue. We requested the maintenance staff not to fix the air conditioning issue as we will be checking out later the day. We will not be able to switch on the air conditioner for the rest of the morning. When we asked if we could request for a reimbursement for the phone repair, the hotel receptionist just asked us to fill up the hotel review form. No one has contacted since then.

Minor problem occurs on the water heater on the last day of our stay + upgrading the breakfast area happen without any notification to guests...Excavation + minor construction taken place in front of guests during breakfast (Dusty+ uncomfortable...need to do early upgrading instead of doing during guests having breakfast... hope can improve in the future. Others was comfy + romantic.

Lastly the view from the room was something to remember especially at sunset. This is a good place to rest & relax.

Lack of choice, cold and coffee tasted of water. The lady at the bar was lovely and enjoyed having a chat with her.

Wi-Fi internet is weak and slow. Breakfast quality is acceptable. Ample parking space. As a beach and island resort, hotel need to organize more activities for hotel guests.
