• Stefano (8/5): Nice place but the whole island has big environmental problems - Nice room, confortable bed The island is dirty, all the hotels and restaurants should organise together and REALLY clean and kept clean the island. Also maybe sponsoring education at schools.

Me and my fiancé were very high maintenance. and we were met with nothing but smiles and kindness. They helped us remain two motorbikes. I have nothing bad to say about this establishment.

Chilled , calm beautiful location and not overburdened with tourism , food and bar amazing , beach life ! Would highly recommend, feeling of paradise

• Alicia (8/5): - We were ver comfortable in our simple room. I only wish it had a safe and a small fridge. We were there for the scuba diving, of course, and that staff was exceptional. Food and drinks were great, and we enjoyed happy hour!

• Natalie (10/5): Exceptional - We had a great stay at Evolution, the staff were very helpful with arranging transport and setting up dives. The room was comfortable for resting after long days of diving, and the beach area was great for hanging out. Dive guides were professional and attentive, the thresher shark and Gato Island dives were phenomenal! Restaurant was also great and able to accommodate my food allergy.

• Bronwyn (10/5): Excellent place for a dive holiday - All the staff are really friendly and attentive. It’s a great place to dive - it seemed like we were out first for the Thresher sharks was dive which made a difference considering how many boats go out each morning. The team of dive masters are excellent, you could see how much pride they took in giving every diver a great experience. I would absolutely stay here again. Some of the facilities could use an update, like the shower head in the room. But it was still very much worth staying.

• Dalibor (9/5): Pleasant diving trip, will come again - Location, equipment, and the comfort of having both the dive shop and hotel and a restaurant in one place. Comfortable beds, hot water, well-maintained. The staff of the restaurant was not very courteous, addressing customers by first names as friends was not the best and expected way. The speed of service at the restaurant could be higher.

Most importantly, they were brilliant to dive with - the first boat out in the morning and I wouldn’t hesitate to book again when we’re next in Malapascua

• Vanda (10/5): - Evolution is a truly pretty, warm and very comfortable place to stay. Clean, tidy, well organised, with good (quality) food and drinks choice. Of course, the service is excellent as well. The dive base is run diligently and efficiently by a great staff. Personal "coup de coeur": this place is environmentally-friendly as much as possible... it is even difficult to spot it coming from the sea :) Hopefully, we'll come back one day.

• Jerome (9/5): Superb dive trip and stay at Evolution - highly recommended - My wife and I had a fantastic stay at Evolution. The diving in Malapascua lives up to the hype and the deeply experienced team at Evolution made it easy to enjoy all the great diving in the area and then come back to a relaxing and smooth stay at the resort. Little touches, like smooth transfers from CEB, arranging pre-ordering of breakfasts (the omelettes are yum!) on the way back from the early morning Thresher dives, and extending cocktail happy hour for those on night dives, make everything easy. The rooms are clean and well designed for divers, the beds are comfy, the AC works well and theres plenty of space to put things and lots of outlets to charge devices. The restaurant is great and the location on the beach is perfect. Will definitely return! Nothing. Everything was great.

• Athanasios (9/5): Great stay, very organized diving, beautiful surroundings… - Amazing location near the beach and close to the bars and village square. The restaurant has very tasty options for inbetween dives or for a proper meal. The rooms are clean, spacious, tidy, with air con and fan… a great place to stay while diving… I think they should make a better price for the accommodation, when someone is also making a diving course. The menu options of the restaurant could be more fresh and healthy and using more local products, traditional dishes etc.

• Verified traveler (10/5): Excellent hotel, restaurant and diving club. - Little piece of paradise on Malapascua island. Great room with everything you need, super friendly and helpful staff, good location, excellent restaurant with Both local and western food and last but not least, a super professional diving club. We had an amazing stay and could only recommend staying there. Really appreciated that there were no plastic bottles and that there was a conscious effort to preserve the environment.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Clean and comfortable - This is not a hotel for family with kids. If you are on a diving trip, then this hotel probably will suit most if not all your needs. It’s a bit of a walk from where you dock, but the flip side is it’s far enough to feel secluded. The room we had was very clean and comfortable. Bonus is your steps away from the beach. Only warning ⚠️ is to ensure you have all your booking details with you as to not incur “other” charges. Staff hassled me for a few days but did the right thing in the end.

• Andrea (8/5): - This hotel is very very quiet. I was always wondering if there is anyone staying:) But most people go diving so you dont see many people. This hotel with Malapascua Exotic Island Dive has the best beach, still I would recommend Malapascua Exotic Island Dive with a breakfast more. If you are looking for some more entertainment and more people go to Ocean Vida Beach and Dive Resort Malapascua 8 min walking.
• Nomad (10/5): Perfect - Loved this place! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Several times throughout my stay they would call me by my name. I felt more at home here than most resorts at which I have stayed. My room was spacious and clean. The bed was my type of comfortable. I only had a couple meals at the restaurant because of the short stay but the food was great and the service excellent. Their dive center was very professionally run and I could not have asked for a better dive instructor. Over all, an incredible stay. I shall return.
• Christopher (6/5): "Beach view"actually overlooks overgrown wasteland - Felt slightly tricked on check-in. I was already on Malapascua (staying at another hotel) but saw the Evolution rooms on the beach and they looked nice. I checked Hotels.com and specifically booked a room that stated "balcony with beach view", which was also stated clearly on my confirmation email. However, on check-in, we were led to the back of the property to a separate building with additional rooms, where the balcony overlooked an overgrown area of wasteland. I showed the manager my booking but was repeated told "this is your room sir". It was a disappointing event that soured my stay because, to be honest, the room I was in was nice. Clean, comfortable bed, nice modern sink area outside of the bathroom. The balcony had nice furniture on it - although I never went out there since it wasn't a nice place to spend any time. However, to be clear - the room was good, and if it hadn't been mis-sold then I would have been happy. On the day I left, we were told that the waves had caused the local island ferry to stop running. Evolution used one of their boats to transport 7 tourists back to the mainland (PHP200 per person) which was very much appreciated; I am grateful to them for offering this service so that I could get to the airport for my flight. Overall - a nice place with nice rooms. But please Evolution - don't advertise 'beach view' rooms that don't have a beach view!
• Dominic (10/5): Great place for diving and getting off the grid - Great place to get away. Friendly and clean. Thresher shark diving is the best in the world and our guides took us right to the action
• Verified traveler (8/5): Comfortable and peaceful - Evolution is at the end of a long line of hotels so the beachfront area is more private and quiet than the rest. We loved this. The facilities are beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The rooms were cleaned everyday and were very comfortable. No wifi in the room but in the restaurant you could get a good connection. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay at evolution.
• Malcolm (8/5): All about the Thresher Sharks - The five centre was excellent. Great kit, boats and staff. Thresher Shark dives were amazing. Very special experience. Accommodation was basic but it did the job. Only downside is the beachfront cottages face the pub and restaurant. Noise does stop by 11 at the latest.
