Guest Reviews
- Keith (10/5): - It was good thank you
- Elaine (10/5): - Spacious and clean. We loved our stay. Close to Burlington waterfront area. Will def come back.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean room, friendly employees, nice hot water.
Pillows too small, bed uncomfortable
- Alan (10/5): Great stay - Great little motel right on route 7. Super clean and comfortable. And don't forget to have breakfast at the Dutch Mill next door, awsome.
- Dyanna (10/5): - I was coming a long way, arriving late. The owner made sure it was a smooth check in. The room was very clean and the staff was nice. I was even allowed to sit in the T-Bird.
- Cindy (8/5): - Nice little older motel that could use some updating. Clean and comfy.
- David (10/5): - Very pleasant stay. Basic facilities that are nice and clean. Quiet at night but There is street noise during the day. If you want a more quiet stay ask for a room in the back.
- Joseph (10/5): - Stayed while visiting Burlington.
- carl (10/5): Great place. - This place always rocks. Low key, retro, quiet. Get in the car and burlington or shelburne is real close
- Verified traveler (10/5): Amazing! Will definitely stay here again! - Amazing and clean! Super quaint and comfortable only 20 minutes from downtown. This is a perfect place for touring musicians such as myself. The only “complaint” is that the included breakfast isn’t actually a full breakfast. The voucher is for the restaurant next door (Which is fantastic) — but it isn’t for a “continental breakfast” as listed on the coupon, rather it is for a cup of coffee, juice, and an English muffin. Not a big deal, but don’t expect a full free breakfast with your stay.
- Gary (6/5): Very clean older motel with limited services - Older motel, very clean and well maintained, small room, road noise, but ear plugs provided in room! Definitely a first for me. Dissapointing TV service allows only a couple channels, plus infochannels and pay oer view. Very limited continental breakfast coupons provided for neighboring restaurant, consisting of coffee, oj, and choice of toast or english muffin only, with no exceptions printed on coupon. Good breakfast available at extra cost though. In my opinion, at $180.00 for room, should at least provide a complimentary breakfast. Overall, very clean room with minimal services.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Always a pleasant visit. Love the staff and enjoy the complimentary breakfast a short walk away.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Central location, but also noisy. But good value, just put window a.c. on fan.
- Zach (10/5): - Nice place. Friendly staff. Good location .
Enjoyed our stay. I would recommend it to my friends.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Great little stay out of the busy district. It has friendly staff. No coffee or snack machines and nothing is in walking distance. Tip:call the hotel directly to get a cheaper rate that third party booking. We could have saved 25.00 per night calling them direct.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The appearance of the room was about what you’d expect for this type of motel, but what it lacked in style it certainly made up for in cleanliness and friendliness. They also provided high-quality toiletries. Overall, a very pleasant stay!
- Kim (8/5): Nice and convenient - Old school motel right off Route 7. Everyone very nice and helpful. I couldn’t say it was fabulous cause furnishings dated (but clean) and the price was too high but everywhere is high around Burlington this time of year.
- DS (10/5): - Great stay! Simple, clean room. Street noise during the day but quiet at night.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I love that it’s located in Shelburne and also so close to Burlington. The room was comfortable and clean.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - This is a good and convenient spot for a motel in Vermont a bit south of Burlington. The Dutch Mill restaurant a short walk away served an excellent breakfast. Other conveniences are not close by.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Wasn’t really sure what to expect from a motor inn, but was pleasantly surprised. Very comfy and clean. Plenty of room. A bit of noise from the road but overall great value
- Cheryl (10/5): - The old motel model was clean, updated, spacious with all the amenities one could want! Check in was fast and friendly!
- lawrence (10/5): - Excellent as always staff room all top notch
Will stay again
- ZS (8/5): - Friendly staff. Good location. Very close to Shelburne Museum
- Cynthia (10/5): - Cute family run hotel. Front staff was very accommodating, friendly, and helpful. We had a very quiet room on the backside. Nice, safe hotel. Room was nice, clean, and comfortable!
- Auntie (8/5): - T-Birds is extremely clean. Everything was spotless.
The air conditioner was a little loud.
Gentleman at the desk was friendly and helpful.
We like it very much.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Tops on cleanliness, mediocre on comfort - Room was spotless. Beds were not very comfortable and AC was very loud. Location is great.
- Patty (10/5): - The property is well maintained, our rooms was very clean, had plenty of room, beds were comfortable and quite. I would recommend this place to anyone.
- Thomas P (8/5): - It is a motel but it is good. The man at front desk was very nice and it was a great choice for our one night in Burlington.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very nice staff, from the weekend desk clerk to the owner, who went out of her way to be sure that I got my refund for having paid both at Orbitz and at the hotel. The property reminds me of places that I stayed with my parents during family vacations in the 1950s and early 1960s (missing: the coin operated “magic fingers” bed vibrator, and the paper strip around the toilet lid and seat advising that the commode had been “sanitized for your protection”, maybe it’s a California thing.
Suggest that the nightstands be updated with 110vAC outlets and USB charging ports to meet the needs of modern travelers. Location is good. We stayed there while getting my daughterOtherwise, no shortcomings. While there are no onsite dining facilities, we did receive vouchers for the nearby Blue Mill Restaurant, another example of roadside Americana of the ‘50s. Check out the photos in the restaurant lobby for a historical perspective.
- Vicky (6/5): Good Roadside Inn for one-night stay. - Nice motor inn. Very nice onsite owner. Room was clean and had everything needed for an overnight stay. The only issue was some questionable neighbors. One fellow appeared intoxicated or perhaps mentally ill. No harm done, but it was creepy.
- Angela (8/5): College Visit Weekend - T-Bird was a good stay for the value. We were in the rear building and our windows overlooked the courtyard between the two buildings, which was nice. We appreciated the fridge and microwave being in the room, as we were trying to save a little while on a college visit. The room was spacious, even with two queen beds. We liked the full sized table and chairs so eating in the room was not cramped. The beds were somewhat basic and the pillows on the flat side. But again, we didn't plan a 5 star stay, so not disappointed as long as you know what to expect. The drive to Burlington was not long, as this is located on a main thoroughfare. The continental breakfast is actually located at the Old Mill Restaurant next door, which only includes milk/juice/coffee and a bread (english muffin/bage/toast), so it's very basic. We personally felt it was more worth it to drive a minute down the road and pick up Dunkin Donuts.Facilities were clean, which we really appreciated. We looked in on the pool, but weren't there long enough to use it. It also looked nice and well maintained. We would stay again. The only difficulty we had was the wifi for our iphones kept cutting out, but that didn't happen with my MacBook.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice quiet spot, but the toast and tang continental breakfast next door at the Wind Mill was less than than impressive.
- Denis (10/5): A trip down memory lane - It was cool that the '59 T Bird was parked out front.
Room was very clean and well maintained, despite being older. The grounds were quiet, and there were tables and chairs around to go sit outside.
Ron at the front desk was friendly and welcoming! I would stay here again.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - A retro classic. Clean and comfy. They don’t make
‘em like this anymore. Staff is kind and also classic!
- David (8/5): Good to a T - Nice place for the age, like many of the Motel style lodgings of this type. Well cared for, friendly service. Some road noise from the front units, but not bad. Drink machine was out at the time of my visit. Free Coffee and Muffin at close by restaurant. Close to Shelburne Museum. I would stay again.
- Diane (10/5): - Everything is really clean. No musty smell. Pleasant decoration. Nice pool. Would go back. Breakfast is a two-minute walk next door. Could be better with the card you get, but you can pay to get more.
- gregory (10/5): Nice stay - Clean comfortable room. Older motel but suitably updated. Would stay again
- Noelle (10/5): - Nice setting. Good location
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The T Bird motor inn was clean and staff was friendly. The facility is dated but it seemed to add to character of the inn.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Clean room, but strong smell made staying there very uncomfortable. Very noisy air conditioner and uncomfortable bed.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Super cleanly. Super friendly staff. Beautiful landscaping and great pool.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - My AC in my King room was not working, had to repack everything & move to a Queen sized room, owner said he would REFUND me some $, I'll wait to see if he does.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Quaint little motel was a throw back to the 1960s! Very friendly staff, very clean, and recycle conscious.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable! There's a little noise from the highway. The Dutch Mill next door offers delicious breakfasts.
- Katherine (10/5): - A very economical, comfortable and convenient place to stay near the fabulous Shelburne Museum and Shelburne Farm and the lovely town of Shelburne. And a lovely pool I didn't have time to use.
- Jackie (10/5): - I love this place! It's close to everything in Shelburne but just down the road from all the excitement of Burlington. The room was spacious and clean, the staff friendly, and the bed comfortable.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Basic, Passable: Not Terrible But Way Overpriced - Stayed here during an unseasonably cool May. The bathroom was clean and recently remodeled, but the toilet had to be flushed repeatedly for it to work, and the water pressure in the shower would drop dramatically at random. Wi-fi was fine, and there was a table with chairs in the room along with a fridge and AC, but electrical outlets were few and inconveniently placed. The motel is very close to Route 7, a major road, which is two-lane and low-speed, but it does have trucks. I thought the noise was significant both from that, and the motel had a big bird feeder by the office, which you would think was nice, but it attracted some REALLY loud birds who were practically screaming at 5:30 AM; I thought it was an alarm going off at first. We later saw that the motel had provided earplugs in the bedside table drawers, so that was at least considerate of them. At night, the curtains didn't quite black out the light, so that was a little bit of an issue for us. The motel was also on the cold side at night on the first night, and the pillows were WAY too soft to do anything but sleep on your back; they would eat your face otherwise. Overall, we didn't sleep very well, and I'd probably try staying somewhere else next time. It wasn't a terrible room, but it was $125 for each night, which is way too much to have this many sub-par aspects to it. We regularly stay at nicer places for closer to $90 elsewhere.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - This motor inn has an excellent location and we totally enjoyed ourselved while we were there.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Quiet place Close to our family in Charlotte
- Mary Beth (6/5): okay to stay - Room faced route 7 it was noisy at times. The motel is tired but clean and neat. Room needed airing out. It was sufficient for our needs. No need for the complimentary card for the continental breakfast, Dutch Mill has a great menu.
- Kacy (10/5): great folks, great breakfast just next door - wonderful staff, made arrangements for me to be able to get in even when past check in time
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Even though the property is older, it was in excellent condition and well taken care of. Was in a great location.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean! Helpful staff. A little bit far out if you do not have a car but convienet to local bus.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Clean and comfortable family-run motel - like stepping back into the 50s or 60s. No bells and whistles amenities-wise, but if al you need is a clean, comfortable and affordable place to stay, this is it.
- Verified traveler (6/5): A fan would help.... - The hotel is too close to a major road, traffic all night long, unable to sleep.
- Carolyn (10/5): - Good location. Very quiet. Close to breakfast restaurant.
- Connor (10/5): - This Inn was very clean during our stay. We enjoyed the atmosphere, and the breakfast included at the restaurant next door was convenient.
- Diane (10/5): - At the office, welcoming and friendly, room was clean and confortable, very good for the price.
- Richard (8/5): Shelburne Trip - Clean, quiet room. Easy check in/out with friendly staff.
- Invisible (8/5): - Very friendly and welcoming front desk staff. Very clean room...actually extremely clean! Comfy mattress. Only issue was that the tv remote isn’t work. The free breakfast was just toast coffe and juice, but the Dutch Mill has other menu items which are ample, creative and very delicious! Will stay at T Bird again!
- Ron (10/5): - T-Bird Motor Lodge
I really liked this place and especially the manager. He was SUCH a nice, friendly accommodating man. Very “old-school,” single story, motel. The room felt like it had been recently renovated. Everything seemed clean and new. The room had all the amenities you could want. We had a room on the back of the property where there is a very large, pretty, tree-lined, grassy area with picnic tables. No ice machine, but they have conveniently located freezers with bagged ice included in the price of your room.
- Timothy (10/5): Great Motel! - Don’t let the word “motel” stop you from enjoying this wonderful establishment. This was by far the nicest motel In which I have ever stayed.
- Larry (8/5): - Easy check-in. You need to take the J turn to get to the north bound side of route 7, but I figured it out. Breakfast was available in the restaurant next door. Slept well.
- Joe (10/5): - This hotel is like a trip back in time. Owners on premises, great service and amenities with a smile!
- Lan (6/5): Very friendly staffs. - Very friendly staffs, clean bath room. Very noisy, close to big street. Don’t be fooled by free breakfast. Only coffee and one English muffin.
- H (10/5): - Great place to stay! Highly recommend. Super clean room with plenty of room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Love the TBird - I always love staying at TBird. Rooms are roomy and clean. TV great. Only one compliant: the pillows are very flimsy.
- UVMParents (10/5): - The T-Bird Inn was comfortable, quiet, and the perfect stay. I will definitely be coming back!
- Laura (10/5): Comfy - Comfy and great. Awesome shower pressure. It makes washing long hair extra easier. Thank you.
- MARK (6/5): It served its purpose - It was ok. The place was clean and quite. The offered continental breakfast at the adjacent wind mill restaurant was not used because of what it offered. The price was high but it might had been because of the parents weekend.
- Sandy (8/5): - Ideal location being close to the airport and surrounding areas. Clean and neat. The inside lighting was a bit odd because all the lighting was operated on one side of the bed (including the coffee maker). There was plenty of room on both sides of the bed for a night stand, but only one side had a night stand. TV, but no pay-per-view movies. A tad expensive but comfortable.
- John (8/5): - Nice classic style motel about 15 minutes south of downtown Burlington. The Dutch Mill next door has great breakfasts.
- Jim (10/5): - Pleasantly surprised, very helpful friendly staff, rooms clean, great parking! Will go back
- Ron (10/5): Terrific Time at Motel T - It was a wonderful stay. The manager gave us a tip on the winery and the museum near by and we took advantage of both.
- Verified traveler (10/5): T-Bird Motel - Very nice Motel and close to the Dutch Mill Restaurant which had excellent breakfasts. Rooms were very tidy and clean. Would definetly stay there again.
- Jim (8/5): - The T Bird is an older inn, but is very good for the price. The proprietor is friendly and helpful, and the Inn is located near the Shelburne Museum and Shelburne Farms - both places well worth visiting. It also is only a few miles out of Burlington, so it's an easy drive into town to visit the University and other points of interest.
- Chuck (10/5): - The owner and staff has taken excellent care of this motel. They're also friendly and very accommodating. A great place to stay if you're traveling through Vermont.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Great stopover - This is a great address to stop over when driving through Vermont. We had a very friendly welcome, the room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. We had complimentary breakfast at the little restaurant next door. The pool looked nice but it was a bit cold that day to try it out.
Good value for money.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Second time visit. Place is clean and maintained. Front can be loud with trucks passing and guests late arrival. Fridge froze everything so check before putting glass in
- VITO (10/5): great place to stay - the room is clean and confortable -- price is right - great location --will revisit in future
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Convenient location. Pleasant surroundings even though on busy road.
Very clean. Cozy towels.
- Margie (10/5): - Nice hotel, near the lake and the winery/pizza restaurant.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Room spotless, bed comfortable and staff wonderful. Would stay here again. Very nice.
- carl (10/5): Retro gem - Retro motel. Quiet and convenient to UVM and downtown if you know shortcuts. Pool was very clean
- Alastair (10/5): - Life saver after my flight from Burlington was cancelled!
Good room facilities and comfortable bed
- Chris (8/5): - Nice clean pleasant place for an overnight stop. Very nice staff
- Verified traveler (8/5): - There was some traffic noise in our unit, but other units are further away from the road. There is a nice breakfast within walking distance (coupon provided by management).
- Dinald (6/5): - Dint know motel was in different country than thought
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Furnishing and decor are outdated, but the motel is well taken care of and very clean. I would stay here again!
- Karl (4/5): Horrible - Room smelled of urine , beds felt like only had the box springs not very clean after check in service was unavailable the whole stay
- Verified traveler (10/5): - It's reasonably priced, clean, and close to Burlington without Burlington prices.
- H.Family (10/5): - Everything was perfect. We even got to BBQ (with our own portable grill) at the picnic tables outside our room. The pool was incredibly clean and necessary on such a hot day, they even bring out pool towels to you (have never had that happen). So all in all a wonderful place to stay.
- Joanne (8/5): - I encountered a very polite and helpful gentleman upon checking in. Overall condition of the room is ok, it's nothing fancy but it was very clean and quiet. Mattress was not comfortable, at least for me.
- Gary (8/5): - Clean, adequately appointed, nice setting, good sized room, comfortable. For me, the T-Bird was a throwback to the days when my family took cross-country road trips. We would always stay at motor inn-style accommodations, opting to avoid the big city hotels. Yes, there are fewer amenities, but you can park your car right outside the door of your room and you don't have to deal with the hassle of valet parking, waits for the elevators or large crowds in the lobby. If you don't have the need to stay fancy and enjoy a bit slower life style from time to time, and you are heading to the Burlington/Shelburne area, consider the T-Bird.
- Bill (8/5): - Very nice traditional type motel with a sign-in card and metal key! Staff were pleasant and helpful! Nice sheltered pool area between the wings of the building. Room was very clean, ice in bags close by room, and nice bathroom. Recommended!
- Lanny (8/5): - Nice facility, but a little older. However, it is very well kept and the new owners and sraff are very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.
- Rose (10/5): Wonderful Stay - The staff were pleasant and able to recommend attractions, restaurants and delivery services when we were tired after a long, hot day of site seeing. This smaller, more personal, location offers a refreshing pool and various outdoor seating areas. The AC works great and it was helpful to have a microwave, coffee maker and refrigerator available in our room. Only downside would be the low water pressure in the shower (but the tub was pleasant to soak in with plenty of hot water). Great central location for jaunts in all directions. Room included continental breakfast available at The Dutch Mill next door.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Good Stop - Good place to stay. Centrally located. Simple, clean, recently remodeled. Ron was great. And we loved the T-Bird out front!
- Maggie Kelly (10/5): T Bird motel - We were welcomed warmly
Our room was ready;very clean;beds comfortable
We use this hotel again
