Guest Reviews
- Ty (8/5): - Slept well
- jason (10/5): - I was skeptical when I saw the very high ratings, because it is also the cheapest in the area. We crashed in our drive across Texas, and this place was perfect. Clean sheets, good functioning air conditioner, secure room, very clean minimalist restroom. Someone highly conscientious is running the place, as seen by the caulking, clean corners, and close attention to the small details of maintenance. All other comparably priced places have things such as dirt in corners, stained curtains, moldy tub caulk, etc. In sharpt contrast, this place is as good as it gets for a very basic room.
- Rupert (8/5): - Price
- April (10/5): - The property was extra clean and the room and amenities were well taken care of.
- Joseph (6/5): - The mattresses and boxspring need to be replaced. They are worn out but other than that a good stay.
- David (2/5): - Owner unfriendly, impatient, curt. No contental breakfast, extra charge for credit card, no water in swi..ing pool, badd at.ostphere.
- Christina (4/5): - No coffee in the lobby. Had to walk across the street for coffee in the morning.
- John (4/5): - The room was okay and about what is to be expected for the price. But the grounds and exterior were very run-down and trashy. The walls of the pool was collapsed with the broken cement, etc.lying in the bottom. The breakfast was only a couple choices of dry cereal, and the lights in the breakfast area weren't even turned on.
- Megan (6/5): - Comfy mattress, decent room for the price. Located next to several restaurants and a Walmart.
- Rodney (10/5): - Nice
- Carey (6/5): - Our room had whisker shavings on the bathroom counter which made me unsure of the rest of the cleanliness in the room. The "continental" breakfast was two choices of sugar cereal and a loaf of white bread. We will not stay there again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Everything was great except the WiFi. It was slow and hard to connect.
- Karyn (2/5): Sleep and go - Don't expect any Guest amenities. Asvertised continental beeakfast, no breakfast, no coffee; nothing. Water pressure was bad.
- Kristie (10/5): Smoking room - Room was very clean, very nice. When enjoyed our stay. It didn't even smell like smoke when we walked in. I.
Was very happy with that.
- Jorge (8/5): - The room is spacious. Big fridge. Big tv. But generally kindof tired feeling.
- Candace (10/5): - The place is comfortable and safe for a weekend and the guy that cleans the rooms is very friendly. Its a good town
- Harold (6/5): - Bed was not comfortable
- Bradley (6/5): - Pool exists , but not filled in a long time, no breakfast, room ok, but the place has seen better days
- Steve (10/5): - Great
- christopher (10/5): - They do a good job keeping the rooms clean. Some updates have been done. Second year staying with them while on vacation. We will be back.
- Molly (8/5): - Very nice staff at check-in. Clean facility.
- Michael (8/5): - It was a bed for a good nights sleep, there is no pool but the shower works.
- Foda (2/5): - Not good, was given a room that had not been cleaned from previous occupants, no hot water, no breakfast
- Monique (2/5): Yuck!! - Very poor and dirty hotel
- nicole (6/5): - I booked this property cause it showed a pool that was pretty and clear and Continental breakfast did not exist. I did have a coffee pot but no pot. Coffee creamer and surger packets were already opened beds were nice rooms were fairly clean.
- James (2/5): - When we checked in there was no TV in the room so I talked to the maintenance guy and he tried to give us another room with him having the only key with no card reader so I talked to the front desk and it took 4 hours for them to bring in TV into the room and I had to carry it from the room that they tried to give us that there was no card key to to our room all around an inconvenience
- Janis (6/5): - Did NOT have a continental breakfast as advertised!
- Devon (8/5): - The room was fine but they didnt give us the king bed we booked.
- ryleigh (4/5): - dirty
- Mark (10/5): - The room layout is very comfortable and spacious,
- Scott A (6/5): - Staff slow to attend to front desk for check in. Clean rooms. Negative- Next to IH20 & noisy.
- Nancy (10/5): - Nothing
- Judith (10/5): - will stay again
- ryleigh (6/5): - kinda gross
- Amy (10/5): Easy, Clean, Nice Bed - Very clean and the bed was SO comfy.
- Adam (8/5): - Nice and clean .
- scott (8/5): - Clean room, older hotel. Needed a clean and affordable accommodation for the night. I slept well and really did not notice any road noise. I was about in the middle. Budget minded hotel and I will stay there again if I just need a bed for the night.
- Mark (10/5): See you next time!! - Very comfortable and relaxing stay. The staff was very friendly. I will stay there again.
- David (10/5): - Peace full an quiet place to stay
- MALARIE COOPER (10/5): - We had a great overnight stay!
- Chanta (4/5): - No breakfast asked for non smoking and was given smoking rooms and would not change rooms even though there was others available
- Ashley (10/5): - All good
- Robert (8/5): - Easy to check in. Excellent tv. Top tier performance wifi.
- ryleigh (4/5): - There was some roaches
- Kent (8/5): - The room was clean!
- Sammy (6/5): - Good enough for the price.
- ryleigh (6/5): - stains all over the comforter
- Joseph (10/5): Worth stopping by. - The place was a refuge, all others were sold out and I was skeptical, but got surprised with the cleanliness.
The mattress was much better than 4 starts hotel.
- Joe (4/5): - The website shows that there is a pool, it is 100 degrees here in Texas pool is closed. I called and the person first said the pool has been closed because of covid then a few moments later he said because of maintenance. Lying sack of manure! That was the second time they had lied to me, the first was when I called on our way and asked what time we could check in and they guy asked how I reserved and when I said online he said 3:00 & when we got there the huge sign behind the desk says check in 1:00. We made the reservation because it said there was a pool nope! Not happy at all!!
- CARLA (10/5): - Quiet.
- Diane (4/5): - First, advertising said there was a pool and continental breakfast, which it had neither. Staff was rude. Internet hook-up was not working. Room was not supplied with extra toliet paper, while the roll available was nearly gone.
The only good things was that the room was clean and the bed was comfortable.
- Chardonne (10/5): - Convenient, clean and safe!
- REYNALDO (8/5): - I thought the place had a pool but to no avail it had no water. It was my main reason for coming to this place was for the pool and it's reasonable price. I can say the rooms are very clean!
- Rob St. (10/5): - Just there for a one night wedding. Nice quiet property. Nice people in front office.
- Charles (10/5): - Very clean rooms. Recently renovated.
- Keith (8/5): - .
- Jose (8/5): - Fhgg
- GERALD (4/5): - very bad area for hotel. truck noise from freeway
- Ken (10/5): - I wanted a simple place to sleep. I usually stay at Hampton Inns. But this was convenient and available not to mention inexpensive. I was pleasantly surprised.
Yes, the highway noise was a bit higher due to its location, but I’m a trucker so I’m used to it (I also utilize ear plugs nightly, a help). The room was clean, the bed comfortable enough, and I had a good night. It is also all ground floor units, so nobody stomping around above you (a real pet peeve of mine). The heating and AC unit worked perfectly without excessive noise or any rattling (another pleasant surprise!)
Only minor complaint is a lack of USB ports and convenient outlets to plug in chargers. Being an older facility this was an expected drawback, but really not a big issue.
- Jamie (10/5): - Clean. Good value for the price.
- Delinda (10/5): - Price clean
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Impossible to sleep if you’re a light sleeper ! The rooms are right by the road and you’ll hear cars and trucks all night making it very uncomfortable
- William (10/5): - This property is always clean and quiet.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Eastland Outdated - Out dated everything , hard bed , sheet and old bed spread , no blanket . Did I say Outdated everything ?
- Terry (6/5): - The toilette seat was at least 10 years old. Needs to be replaced today!
- Holly (10/5): - This is a very clean and inexpensive motel. It is in good repair, comfortable and quiet. I have stayed there before and will stay again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice stay - Check in was super easy and quick. There werent that many guests so it was quiet, which was very nice. Jack at the front office was very friendly and provided great customer service. It is conveniently located right off the interstate and close to restaurants and shopping.
- Brandon (4/5): - The accommodations were minimal and we knew this. We were just there for a hunting trip and didn’t need anything glamorous. We have stayed here before. This time however our room had a disgusting filthy chair that looked like it was picked up on the side of the road and we even had a roach in the room. When we mentioned it to the manager he said to my husband about the chair “well you brought a dog right”? Well yes we did but our dog isn’t allowed on furniture and is kenneled on the off chance that we need to leave the room. My husband told the manager/owner “just because we have a dog doesn’t mean we deserve disgusting things”. Side note we also paid $15 per day for our Jack Russel.
As for the roaches, the manager/owner told my husband that there is no way we has roaches because they spray. My husband said “why would I lie about roaches”. The man never looked my husband in the eye or offered a discount or anything much less an apology.
The walls were all paint chipped and the bedding looked like an old comforter from the 90’s. The pool was green and gross and no water. There were also sketchy looking people all hanging around.
Again, we have stayed here in the past and fine with the humble offerings it was always clean in the past.
Seems maybe they just done care anymore.
I wouldn’t recommend this place especially since we tried to address our concerns with the manager/owner and he seemed to completely dismiss us so I don’t feel like these will get fixed.
- Emma (8/5): - It was really clean and the beds were comfortable, but the area around freaked me out and made me nervous.
- Rocco (2/5): - Unfriendly staff at check in. Bathroom tub had several red stains on its floor and there was about a 5 inch circle of black mold on the inside wall of the tub, unusable. Even though they advertised breakfast, there was not even coffee. Next to the highway so very loud and dark, not well lit.
- Kevin (10/5): - Really comfortable bed. Had a good night sleep!!
- Melissa (10/5): - Staff was very friendly! Have a wedding at 12 and they let us check in early! Super accommodating
- Verified traveler (10/5): Nice - Check in was fast. Room was nice and clean. King bed was comfortable. Very reasonable rate. Easy off easy on to Interstate.
- Mary (6/5): - Everything was clean.
- Thomas (10/5): Thanks for the great service! - I was very satisfied how well the owners took care of the place and made sure the room was clean and comfortable. My room was perfect for my needs and the price was great. Overall, I was very happy with my stay.
- Brenda (4/5): - So we checked in fine, no problem. Go to our room and it doesn't cool at all. We had been at the zoo all day and the room was facing the sun so we gave it the benefit of the doubt. We thought we'd go get some dinner and maybe the room would cool off. It didn't. We gave it 2 hours and asked other guests around us if their air was working and they said yes it was working great! Go the front desk, they let us change rooms, still not cool! Tried sleeping but it was so hot! Got up the next day and went to a family reunion leaving the room closed up all day and set on 63. Came back that evening and it wasn't working. Go to the front desk, ask for another room that we knew was working from talking to the guests from the night before and finally got a nice cool room.
- Holly (10/5): - Very clean comfortable quiet. Great parking. Great value.
- Patrick (8/5): - Good price, and convenient to the interstate. Large clean room with fridge.
- Amalea (10/5): - Great room and staff! Highly recommend for a night’s stay when passing through.
- Tommy (6/5): - Bathtub was busted in the bottom. Floor dirty
- Jonathan (8/5): - My group enjoyed their stay, as the room was comfortable for the price we paid. Although it isn't easy to walk everywhere, there was at least a gas station and restaurant directly across the street. There was a minor lack of attention to detail when it came to cleanliness, but we didn't have any critters join us for dinner either.
- CARLA (10/5): - Everything was good. Clean, quiet, and comfortable mattress!
- Donna (8/5): - There was a place i the tub that had been repaired and it looked like blood. I called the front desk to tell them there was blood in the tub and was informed that it wasthe repair stuff they used, but it looked very unappealing. So I didn't use the shower.
- Justin (4/5): Cockroaches I think are free with this stay - At first, seemed like a nice place to rest and enjoy a wonderful friend reunion with one of my friends. Just a regular hotel, nothing very special about it, but that soon was crushed by cockroaches in the room, and sadly my friend had the exact same issue/problem in his room. overall, it was not very restful of a stay, to say the least.
- Bryan (2/5): Never again - Clean comfortable the guy at the front Desk on 3/24/22 at 9:30 PM was terrible I will not be staying again
- Twyla (8/5): - 4 pillows on a king bed would have been good.
Breakfast could easily have included yogurt, butter, jelly, and coffee creamer.
- Marcela (10/5): Couples evening drive - Decent for the price
- Jaishree (6/5): Ok for one night. - A/C did not work properly.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Eastwood Budget Keep Driving - This motel is very old and the Overall condition is below what I expected. The bathroom was not the level of cleanliness I expected and floors made your feet dirty walking on them. Would not stay at this motel again.
- Melissa (6/5): - Liked the that the room was available.
I didn't like how outdated furniture was. Floors were nice plumbing very old. Bed linens smelled musty. Not worth $88. I paid less than that in dallas in a much nicer hotel. The room served its purpose was a resting spot for me and my husband after his surgery before driving home next morning to Abilene.
- irma (10/5): 1 one night stay - Was quick check in...friendly..no problems.
- Tyler (10/5): - The stay overall was really good from the friendly staff to the newly remodeled rooms! Well worth the money for the stay!
- Verified traveler (2/5): Terrible Experience / Paid for Nothing - There were food and drink stains on the floor that looked like they were never cleaned but just vacuumed over. The furniture was literally sticky to the touch, and so was the bathroom counter. The room stunk like a swamp. There were cockroaches scurrying to the bathroom when we first opened the door. There was rust and grime on all the water fixtures, and mold on the caulking in the bathtub and shower corner, and only a half used roll of toilet paper. We left the room and my husband had it out with the front desk, but they refused to give him a refund even though WE DID NOT STAY THERE that night. Afterwards I contacted hotels.com to try to get a refund but they denied it because "According to them, the issue was not raised, there's no record of an early checkout or complaint," which was a complete lie. Horrible place that seemed to be managed by horrible people who take people's money for doing nothing.
- Jim Tom (8/5): - I liked that the rooms were clean. You could feel and smell that the room had had more than a casual wipe down. I also was impressed that it was well lighted. That is important to an older person with weaker eyesight. They seem to enforce smoking/vaping rules and also quiet hours (10pm-6am). While they didn't provide shampoo and conditioner, I'll trade that in a heartbeat for a clean, well lite room, especially at a budget price.
- CARLA (8/5): - Friendly staff.
- Amiee (8/5): - my cousin and I have stayed here twice while visiting our grandmother - there is nothing fancy about the motel but it is nice and clean - the beds are comfortable and the staff is friendly
- Christina (8/5): Baseball travelers - An amazing stay. We were needing a place to stay for a baseball tournament in Ranger. Great location. We travel quite a bit for baseball travel ball and this place had one of best if not the best comfy beds. The shower pressure; omg! I didn’t want to get out! The office staff was great too. We needed a can opener and the front desk guy tracked one down for us. The price was great. Now if you’re wanting a Marriott type room, this ain’t it but if you need an overnight stay or two for a goods night rest this is it.
- KATHERINE (2/5): - They didn't have my reservation and the gentleman at the front desk was extremely curt and never asked me anything. I have to initiate the conversation and then he informed me very bluntly I had no reservations.
- Hymonda (2/5): - Coffee pot had not been cleaned. Room smelled. No door knob in bathroom. Free breakfast was dry cereal. No coffee, juice, milk. Towel rack not filled.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - When another hotel in the area cancelled our reservation, I booked Day Of with no issues and reasonable rates.. Room was nice, super comfy bed, great shower, fridge, micro, easy parking.
Older motel, park in front of room.
Cons: no breakfast due to Covid.
Will definitely stay again if ever in the area. Thank you.
