Guest Reviews
- Kirsten (2/5): - Cottage smelled like mildew and both beds had fleas in them.
- DAVID (8/5): - Pet friendly.
- Jane (10/5): - It was like stepping back in time. The property was charming and quaint, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We’d definitely go back.
- Herbert (8/5): - Having two separate bed and bath rooms.
- Suzanne (8/5): - The bed was comfortable and staff friendly and accommodating.
- Curtis (10/5): - We rented 'the cottage' nice little 2 bedroom house. Check in was easy, nice manager. Will definitely stay there again.
- Maureen (10/5): - AMAZING. Under new ownership, Clean, Quiet, and comfortable. Close to 3 restaurants or you can drive to The Local Bar in Grayland for a wonderful steak dinner. Minutes from the Dock area with Fishing, crabbing and shopping. Even more restaurants! The bed was great , the kitchen had what I needed and the bathroom was meticulously clean. Such a relaxing place to stay. I'll be back.
- Brad (6/5): - Over priced for condition.
- Robert (8/5): - Has some problems with the TV but the manager spent quite a bit of time getting that resolved. The manager was very nice and helpful in suggesting restaurant options. The property is older, but clean and affordable.
- Jerald (8/5): - Basic beach motel... pleasant and accommodating staff and clean rooms.
- TIMOTHY (8/5): - Older motel, quiet and comfortable. The shower is small but enjoyed great water pressure and a good nights sleep.
- David (8/5): Great accomodation. - Great accomodation, stayed one night while prepping for fishing trip. Very clean and, nice. Could use one viewing chair for the in room entertaiment. The tile flooring is hypo allergenic. It looks like this is an older establishment recently remodeled. Wifi was very good connctivity.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Really clean and quiet
- Robin (10/5): Very good and affordable! - Love the Kitchenette, the home feelings of convenience with a fridge and coffee pot accommodations. Always nice and accommodating facility.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nice place an older one bit nice and clean
- Jodi (8/5): - Nice location room for everyone bed very hard
- scott (10/5): all good except for one thing.. - The cabin was very nice and big enough for my family, there was a needle found, either for drugs or health. The service and location was great, I’m hoping the mishap was a one off.
- Roni (2/5): Worst Motel Ever, and I've stayed in many - Very uncomfortable, and the service was bad, unprofessional and unethical. The desk clerk was awesome at first when I check in for two nights. She told me that they would "never" enter my room, because there's no maid service. Ok, not great, but I can deal.
I immediately found a pair of dirty mens underwear behind the bathroom door. The clerk was embarrassed and apologetic, but it made me wonder how well the room was cleaned. Then I found the pop-top from a soda can halfway under the clock radio, and I knew how well.
Next I tried to sleep on the rock-hard bed. Not pleasantly firm, but hard, yet bouncy. Probably just an old old mattress. I hardly slept and woke up with back and hip pain.
So I decided I would probably check out, even though I had paid for a second night. I put all my bags in the car and left, but I didn't turn in the key or speak to any employees. I thought I might go back to rest later.
I came back four hours later to find my room being cleaned. I was shocked -- what happened to NEVER entering my room?! The same desk clerk came running out and said, "We thought you were finished with the room!". I asked why, when I had paid for two nights. I asked twice but she would not explain, just kept giggling, saying, "I'm so sorry!".
So obviously they went into the room -- but why?! No maid service was offered. Seems like they planned to rent it to someone else though I had already paid, and hadn't even checked out! This is unethical, if not downright illegal.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Clean and Friendly short drive to docks. Has small kitchen, close to restaurants and not far from the beach.
- Chris (10/5): Awesome stay - Stay was great, management was awesome and would definitely recommend to others. Would stay there again
- Jessica (8/5): - The room smelled a bit musty, but after a few minutes you didn't notice it. The rooms were clean, the service was excellent, and it was close to just about everything in town. I even stayed an extra night, so I didn't have to drive 6 hours.
- Mark (10/5): Diamond in the rough. - Untapped Pacific Northwest jewel. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.
- Verified traveler (10/5): Hotel of the past and future - Great Location right next to the surf shops, grocery store, liquor store and a bar if you are into that. Really nice staff. good selection of board games. Everything I ever want out of a hotel: clean, friendly, comfy, easy.
Great price!*
*not luxurious
- Judy (10/5): great place to stay - slept great
- Verified traveler (2/5): avoid at all cost - bed wasn't made and it looked like someone was taking a nap....bugs too!
- david (2/5): not happy - check in was a joke. the person in charge new nothing about the reservation, could not work out a price, we almost walked out. if they did not have my information we would have walked.ended up staying next night just because we spent 12 hours on the ocean fishing and we were to tired to drive home. up at 4 out the door.NOT going back.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Economical stay that wasn't a savings - Very noisy - could hear the people below us all night. Very outdated room, shower was alarmingly forceful, beds were rock hard with bed bug covers, although we didn't experience bedbugs. Check in was extremely slow and confusing. Was looking for an economical stay but the price was still fairly high for the worn, dated state of the room.
- sharon (8/5): Great room! - Cute, clean, updated! I found this room to be a little gem and would definitely com again!
- phillip (6/5): Tuna fishing - Good for our fishing trip. Comfortable big rooms. Shower was really good and the only complaints were the lack of towels "even though I could of went and got more" and the wifi which constantly had trouble staying connected and with my t-mobile phone service I had little to no reception.
- LOK-HANG (8/5): An ok experience - It was an ok experience. We stayed here because we have to catch a 6 am fishing charter. We stayed in a family room with 3 beds. It is one block away from the main supermarket in Westport . Only one or two minutes drive to the Pacific Ocean shore, and 5 mins to the harbor. The hotel manger is polite and helpful.
- Kelli (8/5): Great room! - The hotel and location were great! I'm only rating it a 4 because the shower was like a hard spray which detoured me from taking one. The bed was comfortable and the room was large. The price was great!
- Craig (4/5): Close to Westport fishing - I stayed at this motel to go fishing and so it worked well as a place to sleepbthe night before. I was disappointed that it offered no AC or fans to cool the room.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - I arrived at Ocean Avenue Inn about 4:00PM and it took me
no more than a few minutes to get checked in. I opened my
room door to a nice clean room with plenty of towels and face
towels. I was very satisfied with how my room looked.
I have told a lot of my friends about Ocean Avenue Inn.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Decent accommodation - If your looking for a nice bed and decent accommodations, in a fishing town, this will do. Just don't expect any plush extras. Very friendly management and Bennetts fish shack is highly recommended for food!
- Tiffy (10/5): - the staff was really nice. the room was nice, i was not expecting to have a 2 burner stove top and real dishes, what a nice surprise. so i booked another stay a few weekends from now for crabbing season with my family, the staff was great at getting us the best deal for a large group of us to stay without having to get an extra room. im excited to go again, eat fresh crab and play on the beach (even in the cold- we had a blast and found so many pretty agates on the beach) also, if you like cats, the north jetty has a colony of cats that gets taken care of by the locals, some are very sweet, some a little mangey looking. its nice to see the community take care of abandoned animals.
- Shane (8/5): Fishing trip - Very nice and accommodating owners. They took good care of us.
- kay (8/5): - It might not have been too fancy but the room was clean and quiet and had tons of space. The grocery store was right down the block as well. I was there for a fishing trip and getting back to the marina only took about 5 minutes. I would stay there again.
- Anthony (8/5): Nice little place to stay. - Spent a night here for work. It's a nice little place but it's somewhat dated. Plus side...kitchenette and a decently sized fridge. Bathroom of my unit was a bit small, though.
The management people were great to chat with.
Would definitely stay here again in the future if the same management were there.
- Fred W (8/5): Great for sportsmen - The hotel was old but clean. Our hosts were very nice. This hotel is geared toward sports fishermen. They have a fish cleaning area in the parking lost away from the rooms. Even though our room was billed as non smoking it is very obvious that it had been smoked in a lot.
- Brandy (8/5): Well done - The rooms are accommodating. We were happy when we entered and there was a kitchenette. The room was clean and comfortable. It was nice to have an actual key. Not a key card. The front desk was amazing when out fishing charter got cancelled and we needed to cancel our second nights as travel plans changed.
- Breanna (10/5): I would go back! - The manager who checked me in and out was very nice and helpful! The room was very cute with a kitchenette. It also felt very safe. And less than a 5 minute drive to Grays Harbor.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Stayed in room apparently next to laundry room. Was pretty loud. Room layout was odd, but bed was comfortable. Tv screen was smaller than my laptop.
