• Evette (8/5): We'll located budget option with large rooms - Great location, close to the Yoga Barn and ARMA, and walking distance to the city centre. Large room with bath and shower. Friendly service. Two beautiful pools. Small number of rooms. Breakfast can be served in your room. Small amount of bottled water provided daily. Good aircon. Great cafe opposite. Late check in available if arriving after midnight on a 9pm or 9:30pm flight. Overall a good value budget option Room needs a refresh (peeling paint) and bathroom was dusty. Location is quite noisy and the pool fountain starts early for light sleepers. Breakfast was quite ordinary and cannot be served early (limited slots). Reception staff very keen to organise a driver for the day but no catalogue for prices/options in the room. TV didn't work unless you have your own streaming service. Afternoon tea snack was fried banana and tea/coffee from an urn every day. Having stayed previously, I would say this is not as boutique as it once was however it's a good budget option not far from the centre.

• Madeleine (10/5): Wonderful stay - The property was clean, warm and inviting. It had everything you needed and was in a great location- walking distance to everything and lots of good cafes and restaurants around. The staff were so lovely and went out of their way to make sure the stay was perfect. This included leaving extra fruit in the room and turning down the bed and putting on the lamps in the early evening so that the room was looking extra lovely when I was coming back to the accomodation later in the evening. In particular, Meydi on reception was so lovely, kind and hospitable. There were two pools- both very clean. The breakfast was both delicious and very affordable. I will happily stay again. n/a
• Imaunga (10/5): 1000% recommend and would stay here at Tebasaya again ! - Tebasaya Cottage really surprised my husband and i with how beautiful and peaceful vibes this hotel actually was. The Hosts were so accommodating to all of our requests and to the activities available. We picked this hotel because it was in the city centre and close to everything, we walked to our Silver ring class and the monkey forest as this is how close we were ! They provide drinkable water every day for you to use for brushing teeth and washing face ! My husband and i did not want to leave Ubud and our peaceful hotel ! I was very sad to leave our hotel and was the best stay out of the hotels we stayed in. The cars driving past in the morning were kind of loud but it was still overall a great place to stay at and would 1000% book again !

The location is great, just a 5-minute walk from Yoga Barn. While it’s on a busy street, the rooms are quiet once you’re inside. The pool area is peaceful and surrounded by lush greenery, making it a lovely place to relax. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful, and accommodating throughout our stay. Our room was clean and charming, with a good hot shower and even a blow dryer, which was a nice bonus. We also enjoyed the on-site breakfast café on our first morning. On our last day, they kindly held our bags so we could explore Ubud a bit more before heading to our next destination. Highly recommend! It’s on a busy street, however the rooms are very quiet once you’re inside.

• Diane (9/5): Really cosy , relaxing stay - I had a deluxe room , which was a really spacious comfortable room, directly overlooking one of the two pools that got morning sun. The staff were lovely - kind and helpful, housekeeping attended daily and my room was cleaned beautifully. There was a new air con unit that kept things nice and cool and the whole area was landscaped with beautiful plants and fragrant frangipani. Set in a quieter area - about 5 mins walk from Yoga Barn, 15 minutes from Monkey Forest, there are a small selection of restaurants and a supermarket within 5 mins walk . some of the soft furnishing covers, curtains and towels could do with updating.

Tebesaya Cottage is in a great location - close to main yoga studios and restaurants but the street is quiet at night. I was impressed by the strong wifi (was able to upload/download large photos and audio books quickly).
• Steve (8/5): - It was a really nice property to stay. Clean and staff are helpful. We encountered national geographic moments where we were woken up by a dove cooing. Some times there were ants in the room resulting from eating a little in the room. The wc was cleaned, but there may be a problem with the sewage system. This also maybe true with the whole island. Therefore, you get an odour in the wc. The hotel is located on a busy street, so it is noisy with nonstop traffic. But it does get quiet down after midnight. If you’re a light sleeper, you might not want to stay here. Nevertheless it is worth the price, we enjoyed our stay. The hotel placed a chocolate bar and a rose with a valentine day wishes in our room. A nice touch and a surprise from the hotel. We would certainly consider staying at this hotel again.

The staff were awesome. 1-The onsite kitchen and dining area looked very unsanitary, and no real staff. I toured the area and would definitely booked elsewhere; The location was far out. Not near shops and other dining options. 2-I requested double beds at the time I booked but was given a King size bed; luckily my sister in law didn’t mind sharing the bed with me. 3-there were ants in the bathroom but I just tried to make the best of things.

I was particularly bothered by the smell, it was nothing too bad or too strong but I dont think I would have stayed comfortably for long. I was there only one night and it was okay but the sheets were smelling a bif of old or moldy.

They are sweet but clueless and I found the stay to be lacking in so many ways - but their sweetness made me stay 1. Very noisy rooms - right on the road super noisy 2. Badly cleaned when I arrived 3. A smelly bathroom 4. pillows that were lumpy and smelled like damp body odor 5. Air con was not working very well at all old and probably not filter cleaned 6. Small tight pool space I never comment here generally but it has to be public because it was such a below average experience

Personnel aimable Négatif Petit déjeuner en chambre 1 fois car pas de place au restaurant (que 3 tables de 2 pour 12 logements) et servi avec 45 mn de retard et en reclamant. De plus la vaisselle de ce petit dejeuner n'a été desservi que 36h après. Menage: draps jamais changé en 7 jours, matelas taché +++, sol jamais fait , tapis douche taché +. Escaliers de la piscine du haut hyper glissants ( une chute dès la 2e marche) Rideaux non occultants.

The breakfast was a bit ordinary. Although the kitchen staff were really lovely they could maybe do with some more training. Little things like picking up dirty dishes on the way back to the kitchen, would help.
• Mary (8/5): Comfortable villa for a very brief stay - Friendly and helpful team at the villas. Two pools at a small resort. The bathroom is not very clean. The cable TV was not working. The bathroom door cannot close properly. Don't even have sufficient plug points to charge our phones. We had to unplug the side lamps in order to charge our phone.

• Steven (8/5): Great little hotel but needs a little TLC in rooms to justify the cost for this 3 star. - Hotel was in a good location but quite axwalk to the centre of Ubud. Breakfast was of a good, although limited choice. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The pools are perfect for a cooling dip. Couple of good restaurants very close to hotel and a lot more within 5-10 mins walk. Grounds are beautiful and you feel like your secluded from the road next door. Hotel is a bit tired looking in the rooms. Needs a bit of TLC. Towels need renewing as some were torn or stained. Shower heads were coming away from roof with poor pressure.

• Veronica (9/5): Always amazing to stay at Tebesaya - Two pools are sparkling and spotless. But really it’s the staff at Tebesaya that make me feel like a special guest. I stayed for a month and I tell all my friends what great people you have working there. Every single day my room was cleaned spotless. The manager, Angaa, greets me every day and is absolutely wonderful!! A few cracks here and there, and maybe one or two plugs that dont work- maybe eventually they need to do a little bit of upgrading- but really it’s great value for your dollar

Walking distance to nice restaurants, bars, shopping, yoga, monkey forest etc. Option to have breakfast served at the appartment balcony. Friendly personnel. Quite good value for the price, in our opinion. - : They really have to change the AC - it sounded like a jet plane taking off all night. And the shower handles were old and didn’t function properly. Not very impressive breakfast, could easily be better/more fresh. Also it wasn’t cleaned properly (hair, dust and dead insects behind tv and bed table). The location and cute pool area made it worth the stay - but there are improvements to make in order to get a better rating. For me this is a 3-star place at the moment. Could be 4-star with some improvements!

Would happily stay there again. If you like to sleep in be just be aware that motorcycles are tearing up and down the hill right outside the property early morning (and late at night).

• Jocelyn (10/5): - I arrived with 2 others very late at night and was greeted by a super welcoming staff that had everything ready to go for us after a long day of traveling. I highly recommend adding the breakfast to your stay. It is a great deal and super delicious and you can order it to your room. The restaurant across the street is amazing. I stayed for a few nights and went there at least 4 times. When I think of my overall trip to Indonesia I think of Tebesaya. I will absolutely be going back.

Breakfast and afternoon tea was great! The staff were helpful, we booked a few tours through them seamlessly. The only downside is you can start to see the wear and tear, just don't look to close in the bathroom/shower corners and you'll be happy.

Ikke langt fra butikker, spisesteder osv. Hotellet havde en meget fin service, flotte værelser, og meget flotte omgivelser. Virkelig Balinesisk stil. Dejlig morgenmad og hjælpsom personale. • Helena (10/5): An oasis in the centre of Ubud! - Lovely hotel in the busy centre of Ubud. It feels like an oasis. I had a great room with a comfortable bed, sofa and a balcony overlooking the gardens and pool area. Both the pool and gardens are lovely, it was nice to start and end the day with a swim. Good breakfast too, especially the home made pineapple and cinnamon jam. Very nice and attentive staff too. And, they have the tiniest koi I've ever seen!

• Joan (9/5): Superb - The location, the garden, the facility! The staff are all very friendly and helpful. This is our second time here, and it will surely always be our first choice if we're coming to Ubud! It's not making our stay less enjoyable, but surely they can improve if they can make a proper reception desk/area where there is always a person stand by.. and maybe for the aircon cleaning since the roon smells a bit humid, and we thought it's because the aircon leaks.

• Allisson (10/5): - Have just finished a 3 night stay which was the 2nd time I have stayed here. Loved it again. The location is great, close to a lot of restaurants, shops etc but still very quiet and private. Our room was clean and comfortable and the aircon worked very well. The 2 pools are lovely and not busy which is great. The staff were very welcoming and helpful and we enjoyed the breakfast each morning. Would stay again!
