Guest Reviews
- Mark (10/5): Great value stay in Denia - Great few days at Hotel Rosa, warm welcome, spotless large room and good food. Very good value.
- Satu (10/5): Hyvä hinta-laatusuhde - Siisti hotelli ja huone tilava. Kiva allasalue iltapäiväauringolla. Hyvä hinta-laatusuhde. Buffet-aamiainen kohtalainen, perustuotteita.
Unterkunft absolut empfehlenswert!
- Vahan (10/5): - Beautiful hotel with an excellent restaurant and a pool.
- JAMES (4/5): Not for Us, - The hotel is dated and management is too focused on saving money, and applying some questionable rules to do so.
They won’t let you have a 2nd key to the room to stop you leaving ac on ?? Pool towels are rented not provided. I asked for a Bucky of ice and two fizz glasses and was told it was strictly agains the rules and ice could be bought in a supermarket 250m away.
The dining room has a lovely patio immediately outside of it where you are not allowed to bring breakfast out to, only your second tea or coffee ???
- Peter (10/5): - An excellent family run hotel on the outskirts of Dénia, well situated for either a walk into town or along the beautiful Las Marinas beach.
- Heather (10/5): Lovely Hotel - Great Service and Food - This is a lovely hotel with great service. The food was really good - I recommend you not only have breakfast but also an evening meal. It was delicious and really good value. The service is excellent and great location. We really enjoyed our stay
- Michael (10/5): Hotel ist zu empfehlen - Preis/Leistung optimal
- Rachel (10/5): - Lovely hotel! Warm welcome and a real family feel to the hotel which was great - we slept really well which can often be a struggle in other hotels - great breakfast - all in 10/10 - thank you!
- Nancy (8/5): - Bien, sin embargo la foto que se muestra no es como en realidad está el hotel, un poco deteriorado, pero limpio y para una noche pasable
- Lee (10/5): - We love the Hotel Rosa. We first stayed here 9 years ago and wanted to stay again when we finally got the chance to go back to Spain. The hotel is incredible. It's a beautiful little gem with a wonderful restaurant, patio and pool area. Its seconds from the beach and only a 10 minute walk into the heart of Denia.
Parking is also free and secure and there's a bunch of bars, restaurants and a supermarket within a few minutes walk.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Nicht mehr so neu aber der Bungalow ist sehr geräumig funktionell und sehr sauber. Der Pool hat uns sehr gefallen und es waren ausreichend Liegen vorhanden
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lovely small hotel - Loved our 1 night stay here. All staff very friendly. Food was excellent. Definitely recommend the evening meal. Bed was comfortable. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

- Norma (10/5): Gorgeous clean typical Spanish hotel - A lovely traditional Spanish hotel next to beach. Staff were very welcoming and friendly. The hotel is very clean and well maintained and the beds are super comfy. We didn't pay a lot for the room so with the good free breakfast it was amazing value.
- Maria Elena (10/5): - Limpieza impecable. Bien situado
- Nicola (8/5): - Lovely, funky, pretty hotel. Great staff, friendly and helpful.
Very clean and spacious rooms, and quiet. Unfortunately, no coffee or tea making facilities in rooms. Trying to get a taxi (pre-booked) to the bus station was useless…none came. We were fortunate to get a ride from a kind staff member who went out of her way to drive us in her own car at the last minute, otherwise we would have missed our bus! The hotel does not have a shuttle, and the staff member who volunteered to drive us was
very much appreciated. 👏🙏😊

- Gillian (10/5): Excellent value for money - Gorgeous Spanish style hotel with friendly happy staff, great food.. amazing value
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional value and staff - Lovely characterful hotel with friendly helpful staff. We had dinner which excellent and amazing value for money €13.90 for four tapas, main course and desert. Definitely recommended
- Carol (10/5): Fab!! - Friendly and accommodating staff.
Nicely tucked away but easy to walk to marina, Old Town, restaurants & shops.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very 70's style hotel. Wifi not free, no in room fridge, meal options limited to two. However, close to the beach, free onsite parking and pool all very convenient
- Christine (8/5): Rustic spanish experience - Great value for money, typically Spanish style, a bit rustic for me but the staff were wonderful and everything extremely clean. Location perfect
- David (10/5): Fantastic - We had a lovely time at the Rosa it was recommended by friends and we thoroughly enjoyed it the staff were very helpful and pleasant will definitely have to go back
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Lovely hotel near the beach. The evening meal was particularly good .
- Christian (10/5): Great stay in beautiful Denia - Very comfortable, staff extremely pleasant, kind and helpful. This was our second stay, 2 weeks this time and it passed too quickly. Very casual environment. Highly recommend it for a relaxing vacation. 50 yards from the beach, nice pool, tennis court. We will be back as soon as possible ! Managed by owners who are the Best !
- Shane (10/5): A Gem! - This is a wonderfully quirky hotel. It is spotless and well managed, with great attention to detail and friendliness. Breakfast is terrific and the quality of food in the restaurant is excellent. A real gem!
- Michael (10/5): - Great staff
- Stephen (10/5): Excellent value - Private path to the beach. Very friendly helpful staff who spoke a multitude of languages. Breakfast was excellent.
- Lesly (10/5): - Really enjoyed our time here.
Friendly service and good food with waiter service even at breakfast - a real treat.
- Simon (10/5): A great find, Hotel Rosa our new favourite hotel. - What a great find the Hotel Rosa was. From the time we arrived right up our departure the place felt like home. The staff were friendly and always ready to chat with us to help improve our Spanish or to give advice on the local area. The food was absolutely first class and reasonably priced. Every plate looked like it had been prepared with great care and tasted great. The house wines were very good and also great value. We had planned to eat out occasionally but after our fist two nights we decided to eat in the hotel restaurant every night, the waitress who was on duty for all the ten nights of our stay was lovely, so friendly and helpful.
The hotel is not modern, there are no English TV channels, the shower is not a power shower and there was no 'entertainment'. Smashing! When you have been to a hundred modern hotels that all look exactly the same, it is so nice to find a place like the Hotel Rosa, tucked away from the world in a quiet little oasis of calm that is welcoming and comfortable. There was some building work going on next door and the builders had dug up something very pongy, but that did not detract form our stay
The wifi was 'flakey' sometimes it worked fine, other times it didn't, but it was free so no complaints there. The room safe was also free unlike many hotels Our room was cleaned to a very high standard every day and the whole place was spotless. Parking was also free and on site. Brilliant!
- Linda (8/5): Nice family run hotel - Hotel is very good. & near to beach.
Rooms probably 3 stars whilst hotel is definately 4 stars. As is the excellent menu-del-dia. Decent continental breakfast too.
- Theresa (10/5): Wonderful hotel for relaxing - We loved this hotel. The chalet (the hotel calls it a bungalow ) was perfect. It had everything we needed. The staff were fantastic, polite and knowledgeable.
It's the place for anyone wanting a quiet relaxing time. It's close to the beach, just a short walk. A little bit of a walk into the town but there is a supermarket very close.
We had their menu del noche on both evenings we were there. Great freshly made food.
- William (8/5): Short stay in Denia - We were exploring the area and decided on a short stay in Denia, we chose the Rosa initially from the reviews and the ability to park on site. The first impression was a bit off putting as you have to drive up a narrow road/passage with derelict land on both sides to the hotel frontage. The next impression is of quaint old fashioned Spanish hotel. The checkin was smooth and effortless, the room was comfortable and spotlessly clean, the shower room/ toilet was also spotless with high end fittings etc, altogether a good first impression. On the advise of the checkin man ( who seemed to do everything) we ordered dinner for later that night. The set dinner was fabulous, very tasty and well presented, and best of all not a fortune, I would recommend it to any visitor, p.s. have the confit duck!! The staff were very friendly and attentive, but best of all they smiled!! I would stay here again, without any doubt. Excellent value for money. Thanks to all the staff.
- James (10/5): "Absolutely First Class" - We were a party of four staying in this absolutely "First Class hotel". Check in was a breeze with Corinne and Berna. The rooms are spacious and extremely clean with everything you would ever need including air conditioning. There is a swimming pool & tennis court. The beach is accessed through a private gate and the town of Denia is a 20 minutes walk. Evening meal was excellent with numerous courses cooked to perfection for 13 Euros pp.
Breakfast was equally delicious with choices of cooked or continental. I have to mention the waitresses who are extremely kind & helpful, Ana & Christina.
Well done Hotel Rosa we will all be coming back and recommending to friends & family.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Hotel was ok but the area is not very nice - For the money the hotel was ok but the location was not very good
- Kay (10/5): charming and quirky - very relaxing stay in a friendly stylish hotel
- Asya (8/5): Nice hotel by the beach - We enjoyed this hotel - the room was large and airy, it was very close to the beach and the breakfast was very nice.
- Mac (Estuardo) (8/5): Home cooked food slightly out of town - Hotel Rosa felt like a real family-run hotel, with Rosa herself clearly involved in the day-to-day business. The level of the staff's English is pretty good so don't be worried if you don't speak Spanish. On the flip side, if you want to improve your Spanish, they are only too happy to oblige and talk to you in Spanish. I think some of the staff also speak French and a little German.
The food is cooked well and nicely presented, especially the fish. You don't get a choice with the starters (3 tapas) so make sure you tell the waiter/waitress if you don't like something, e.g. seafood ("el marisco"). There weren't many vegetarian options on the menu as it's typically food from that area with several local speciality dishes you won't find elsewhere in the region. The red wine was decent, although there were only 2 to choose from.
The hotel is quiet at night as it's a mile out of town. There's the odd dog barking but at least no car alarms (the hotel makes you disable your car alarm and they have a night watchman). You can walk to town via the beach (about half the distance), then the remainder is on the pavement.
The double room was a good size with a small balcony, big enough for 2 people. The en-suite bathroom was adequate, with a very good shower and instant hot water.
This was February so there wasn't much of a chance to use the pool or patio outside, but they looked well maintained.
- Wendy Lou (8/5): Great small hotel with everything. - Friendly very helpful staff. Small hotel practicly on the beach. Spacious comfortable rooms. We are going back again.
- Verified traveler (10/5): A short stay for a bit of Sun before the winter 😀 - excellent food and extremly helpful staff, we would recommend this ideally placed hotel
- Iain (10/5): A great boutique hotel with excellent staff. - From the moment we arrived at this charming small hotel, Patricio and his staff were very friendly and professional. We were made to feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The food in the restaurant was outstanding. We will definitely return to Hotel Rosa.
- BP (6/5): Noisy, uncomfortable - Room 106 had a cloud of fumes from somewhere, hanging in the air on the balcony. So we couldn't stay out there .
- Gerry (8/5): Nice, small hotel, close to beach - We only spent 3 nights here but it was a good base for us. Stayed in a 1 bed bungalow, had oven, hob & fridge & we used all three. It's only a 2 minute walk from a nice quiet beach.
Town centre, restaurants & bars are about a 20 minute walk along the beach or main road - maybe too far for some but it was fine for us.
We only ate breakfast there, the choice is continental or American one day & continental or English the next. They do a set 3 course meal every day, we didn't have these but many in the hotel did.
Visited the castle, which had great views over the town.
For those who might use it, there is a Burger King opposite the main entrance to the hotel & an Aldi supermarket behind the BK.
- Mrs J K (6/5): - we only stayed one night.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Nice hotel - Enjoyed stay 3 nights enough wouldn't like to stay longer
- Ray (8/5): Great Spanish hospitality!! - A great find. Spanish hotel hospitality at it's best.
- Tizzyelle (6/5): Pleasant. - This is a small, pleasant hotel situated fairly near the beach and the main road leading to Denia.
Our room was clean & quite adequate with fairly basic essential furniture. However, the bed is not attached to the headboard so if wanting to sit up in bed it is quite amusing, as the bed starts moving away from the wall. As there is nowhere else to sit in the room I would imagine most people, at some point, would want to sit on the bed. We solved this minor problem by placing rubber soled shoes underneath the feet of the bed. There are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. There was a safe in the room which was not technically secure as the safe could be removed from the room. Free Wi-Fi is only available in the dining area downstairs. If you want Wi-Fi in your room you have to pay one euro per day for only two devices.
The bathroom was clearly newly fitted and rather beautiful, with an excellent shower and lots of storage space for toiletries.
There was a balcony with chairs and a table overlooking the pool and outside terrace: a lovely place to sit when the building work opposite was not in action.
Breakfast was interesting. On the first morning we were offered a choice of English or continental. We chose English and were quite satisfied. However, on the second morning we were told there was no choice and were just given a continental breakfast. We did not eat dinner at the hotel as there was a fantastic restaurant just down the road called Cafe Soles
- alan (10/5): a pit stop - very nice hotel. enjoyed staying there. only downside is little around.the real activities - restaurents, bars etc are in denia centre -a taxi ride away.apart from that the hotel good
- Morten (6/5): - Nice hotel and nice staff. About 10 min walk distance from senter of Denia.
- Stephen (10/5): - Lovely hotel, friendly staff and great value for money. Pity at the moment it is next to a building site.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Very pleasant - Well-run, friendly hotel, within walking distance of town. Only drawbacks are tight parking at busy times, and poor sound insulation between rooms.
- Michael (10/5): A little gem - Only stayed two nights but thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The hotel is a bit hidden but has access to the beach and is not far from the town of Denia. However,it's main attraction is the quality of the welcome and the service from the staff and the excellent and reasonably priced food. It has a decor which is classical in appearance even though the hotel dates back only to 1970. Parking is free and so is the Wi-fi in most of the hotel.
- georgina (10/5): wonderful - very pleased will go back again
- Verified traveler (10/5): - At Hotel Rosa I was welcomed very warmly.
The venue is well maintained and the staff is dedicated to make your stay enjoyable.
I recommend asking about the dinner options, they do have a good kitchen but ask for reservations to have your food prepared fresh on the spot.
