Guest Reviews
- Priti (10/5): - I had a wonderful stay here. The service was efficient, the property was well maintained, and the atmosphere was comfortable. The room was spotless and nicely furnished.
- Derek (10/5): - I was impressed with the management and service quality. The property was well maintained and located conveniently. The staff was very cooperative, and the room was clean. Great place for a short stay.
- Lucas (10/5): - I'm really glad to stay here. Great room, humble staff, cleaning is to good.
- philip (2/5): - I liked nothing. No cups or soap in room. Went to front desk and they gave me 2 cups which held about 4 oz.and told me they had no soap This is the dirtiest and worse motel I've ever stayed in. I recommend you delete this motel from your recommendations. Have one of your staff see for yourself. This place is a filthy dump.
- Chloe (10/5): - Nice and well maintained property, would definitely come again
- David (6/5): - You get what you pay for.
- Robert (10/5): - For the price was expecting it to be a "dump" but found it to be very clean with very comfortable beds.Other than NO soap/shampoo or telephone in the room &we found it to be a very rewarding break on our trip & will not hesitate staying there again if in the area
- April (2/5): - Do not stay here. It is beyond disgusting. This property should be condemned or used as a set for a horror film. Seriously, just sleep in your car if you have to. I drove to Walmart and bought new sheets, pillows, and some incense to help mask the smell if that gives you any indication.
- Elizabeth (6/5): Not bad for 1 night - This hotel was alright for the price. Needs a bit of updating. Definitely could use new pillows, Although towels were nice and fluffy. Could definitely use bars of hand soap. Had to use shampoo to wash our hands. Also be aware i believe there are lots of ppl living here every day. We had no issues with any oh them though.
- Franklin (4/5): - Not the cleanest hotel I have stayed in. My friend actually saw bugs in the sink and bathroom floor.
- Jeff (2/5): - This place is ran down, it has the wallpaper coming off the walls and it’s filthy
- Krisene (2/5): - Do not stay here. Room was stinky, dirty carpet, bugs, looked like a hotel you pay by the hour.
- maddie (6/5): - If you’re looking for somewhere cheap to stay for just a night & won’t be spending much time in the room, this place is fine. The room we had was pretty dirty (stains on carpet, hair in bathroom floor, gnats, stained toilet, the list goes on) so I definitely wouldn’t recommend more than a night.
- john (2/5): DO NOT STAY HERE!! - Possible the worst stay of my life. Filthy, smoky, moldy. That was the best part.
- Ekra (1/5): Bad - Nothing Customer service was horrible...the alleged manager (Americas)...knew at 11am that there was no room available & dint bother to call & let me know...instead a non employee handed me a paper during check in & said "I was told to tell you there's no room"...BTW it's been almost a month & I'm still waiting for my refund even after talking to the booking.com crew
- Penny (1/5): One of the worse hotels I've ever stayed in! - There was duct tape on the corners of the wall, knats all over the room and no towels. The smell of the room was awful. We reserved a king bed but was told they didn't have it and was given a small full sized bed. Shortly after we checked in someone else came and was given a king room. Everything. The staff was very rude.
- Ravi (2/5): Horrible motel. - Terrible. Room smelt of smoke even though non-smoking. Bed cover was dirty. Carpeting was disgusting. No towels in the room. Signs outside say wifi, but no wifi.
- Ashley (8/5): - If you need a roof over your head for a few days this is perfect for you. The staff was friendly, the area was quiet. The bedding was clean, the water was hot, and there were no bugs.
There is a bit of a funky smell but nothing a bit of fabreeze couldn't tackle.
- John (2/5): - Sign at desk said no prostitues in room. The 2 guys next door were on something all night constast non stop loud laughing . I turned up tv could still hear them. Slept in car . Could not get a hold of front desk sign said closed at 9am . Called later to tell them not staying a 2bd night.no answer.
- Wesley (2/5): Avoid - Worn, dirty. Locked out Sunday morning 9am. Manager was sleeping not be disturbed. Two guys in next room up and playing music from 9pm to 7am, obviously on meth or some speed. You get even less than you paid for.
- Rachel (4/5): - They over charged us for a room and they wont return calls. Place is dirty. Hair in the shower, mold in the bathroom area. floors stained. We just needed a place to sleep
- Darryl (8/5): - Definitely a "Budget" Hotel, but Plenty hot water, clean, friendly help, fridge has actually has a freezing freezer and good micro. Bed and chairs were OK and TV Great.
- Kyra (2/5): - Smelly like an ash tray. No staff avaliable when checking in.
- Anonymous (1/5): Bad -
- James (1/5): Bad - Staff was okay Bed sheets was dirty with footprints on them room need good vacuum cleaning floors need a mop bathtub needs a good cleaning
- Jacob (1/5): we did not have a room when we got there even thought we had confirmation with booking.com they told us to come back in -
- Thib (1/5): Bad - Unfortunately nothing. I ended up sleeping at a rest stop instead of the room I paid for. The room wasn't clean and smelled really bad. The bed wasn't made. The lamp was broken and the AC didn't work. I left and slept in my car at a rest stop
- William (2/5): - The staff was nice. Apart from that, what a shitshow. Wasn’t able to get in my room until well after 7pm due to the system being down and the clerk being new and having nobody there to help her. The room was atrocious. Dirty, stained floors, beds straight from 1960 and just overall a crack house vibe. It may be cheap but it does come with a price. Literally stay anywhere else. A tent by the river would have been a night at the Hilton compared to this dump.
- Jeff (6/5): - Unfortunately, or not, the normal clerk had walked off the job that morning. The clerk that was on was doing her best with equipment not working. We were told that we had a nonsmoking room, but smelled like an ash tray. Quiet night with parking near the door.
- Pat (2/5): - FILTHY! Room was supposed to be non-smoking, but smelled strongly of smoke. One of the beds was unmade as if someone had already slept in it. There was hair in the shower. No light bulb in the lamp beside the bed. Carpet was stained badly. Wallpaper was coming off the walls in several areas. No internet connection even with their "password". Coffee pot still had coffee residue and coffee grounds or trash. Flies and bugs in room. Guests appeared to be "long term" residents with recliners and chairs outside. Clerk didn't know where downtown was nor could she answer any other questions. REQUEST FULL REFUND!
- Pete (2/5): Very poor - Location.
- teresa (2/5): - Don’t stay here.
- Hannah (8/5): Great but definitely the price you pay - Me and my husband stayed for a night and over all can’t complain for the pricing. The check in lady was very kind and helpful but the power outage caused the key cards not to work. She had to let us in every time but was there till 11pm and told us to call if we needed in after that she lived close. It wasn’t her fault but the doors DO lock behind you still giving you safety. We had a no smoking room with ashes in the floor and smelt like cigarettes.
- Stacie (6/5): - The front desk girl April was extremely nice and helpful
- Teenia (7/5): Good -
- Alisha (7/5): Good - It was very very quiet and comfortable,
- Andrew (4/5): - No room service.
- Rodriguez (2/5): Very poor -
- Huu (3/5): Room 125 has bed bugs. I got bites. - Location Need to clean
- Chad (6/5): - It’s was okay
- Mitch (7/5): If you're just looking for a cheap clean and convenient place for sleep and a shower this works fine - No breakfast, just in-room coffee. The property is dated but staff was friendly and welcoming, facility and room was super-clean. Rooms were warm, well-stocked and comfortable. Good Wifi and parking directly in front of the room. Decor and furnishing are dated (but perfectly functional). But hey, what do you expect for $50 for crying out loud
- Chuck (2/5): - BEWARE!!!!! I don’t know how this hotel was rated as high as it was. I’m not that picky and my expectations were low due to the bargain rate but OMG. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls, stains on the furniture, bedding looked ancient, everything really needed replaced. The worst thing, it had an odor that was very strong. They would’ve had to pay me to stay the night. No thanks. Front desk staff was courteous and friendly, had a nice conversation but she even seemed bewildered by everything I was reporting. Of course, no refund.
- Anita (10/5): Very pleasant stay - The hotel was clean, the bed was comfortable, the room had everything we needed. The staff was very courteous.
- Brett (10/5): Perfect value for travel nurses! - Clean, smelled good. Girl at check in is amazing! Well its older. Maybe freshen up bedding and linens
- Haley (10/5): - Friendly staff
- Angela (8/5): - Place was maybe older but clean and smelled good. I stayed a few days with no problems!
- Jennifer (8/5): - Super cheap. Stayed a few times now. Would recommend.
- Jennifer (6/5): - Wasnt perfect, wasnt terrible. I was only traveling through town for one night. The price was unbeatable. Would stay again.
- Teenia (7/5): Good -
- Teenia (7/5): Good -
- Teenia (7/5): Good -
- Teenia (8/5): Very good -
- Mason (7/5): yay a bed to sleep in - How cheap the room was. Smelled kind of funny
- Claudia (6/5): - The bed was used and had not been changed. The rest was fine
- Christine (4/5): - I travel quite a bit and it is what it is to be expected *however* the morning of check out I got an early banging on my door and was told I needed to leave because they were exterminating. I
- Agnieszka (4/5): Good location, needs good housekeeper. - Great location to WV State Fair and Lost World Caverns.
I believe it was expensive because the State Fair hopefully is less expensive.staff was nice. In the room there are lamps still in the foil extremely sticky and disgusting. Are You going to unpack them?
Also we found garbage under the bed. One lamp was hanging upside down also dirty. Dead flies at the floor. Definitely needs some good cleaning!
- Dee (8/5): - Liked: Price, easy access to Interstate, clean room
Didn't like: Age of hotel rooms, A/C leaked water from window unit
- Wayne (8/5): - Not a new facility, but clean and quiet, just what we needed.
- David (8/5): - Nice stay.
- Clay (2/5): - Do not waste your money there.
- Nikki (8/5): - It’s an older place, but it’s comfortable and clean.
- Hudnall (5/5): It was okay - The tv The wallpaper was peeling off and there was pubic hair all over the bathroom floor
- Suzanne (5/5): Passable - none was offered lighting in the room was less than desired
- Clay (10/5): - Staff was very nice.
- Aaron (8/5): Very good -
- debra (8/5): - The management was friendly . The rooms had tv. Microwave coffee pot an mini fridg we will stay again it has the basics but is old an rustic
- Jerry (7/5): Good - Good location Mattress
- Lana (8/5): Very good - Clean and able to accommodate when other place canceled on us at the last minute Air conditioner leaking floor wet
- Rebecca (1/5): AWEFUL and Dangerous - Nothing the front desk person was nicr Duck tape everywhere. Dirty carpets sink didn’t drain and the bathroom lights only one worked and it had ashore in it.
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Tried to cancel the reservation 5 days before my scheduled stay. They said it was non refundable! Unacceptable! Then they called me the night of the reservation at 11:30 pm to see if I was still coming and gave me no concern for the cancellation request made prior!
- Michael (4/5): - The check was not smooth. I than had to have the staff change the linen as it was dirty.
The property is old and run down. The drapes, carpet, countertop bathroom floor and bath were all old, stained and just did not look sanitary. I was stck here due to a large event and all the other properties were sold out. All and all an unpleasant experience.
- Misty (2/5): DO NOT STAY HERE - DO NOT STAY HERE! Let my lack of planning and this being the only available place to stay be your warning. There was coffee in the pot from a prior stay, the bathroom floor was not cleaned, the sheets did not fit the bed and kept coming off the mattress, and the final straw was seeing a roach in one of our bags.
- Stephen (8/5): - Friendly staff
- Jimmy (4/5): - Old coffee was left in coffee maker. We were provided with only 1/3 of a roll of toilet paper, no extra roll. No hairdryer. Beds looked like a toddler had made them. Bathroom counter was dirty, hair was stuck to the counter. Over all, everything was dirty. Someone’s dress was left hanging in the room. I wound not stay again or recommend this hotel.
- Verified traveler (6/5): A “halfway” decent hotel - The stay overall was okay. That’s being nice though and I say that because other than the place being quiet, the showers working okay and the beds being semi-comfy it was not good. The front-end employee working the front spoke to me, my brother and girlfriend like kids and thought that since I looked under 21 that we were just kids. She assumed when she had no idea, as well as treated us awkwardly when we checked in. We also noticed other rooms in the facility were not very clean. The beds weren’t made, the cleaning staff was always behind and all the drawers in our rooms were filled with dirt. Overall, a 3/5 and I would most likely not stay again unless I had to.
- Wismann (2/5): Needs a lot of work. - Needs updating and there were dead flies in the windowsill and there was an odor to the room.
- Clark (1/5): Worst hotel experience in my lifetime! Absolutely disgusting! Dead roaches and spiders everywhere! Mold in the bathroom - NOTHING AT ALL!!! Pretty much EVERYTHING! The bugs! The mold! The leftover coffee in the coffee pot! How disgusting everything was! The fact there was no cell service or Wi-Fi! The smell! The sketchy ass people!
- Nancy (4/5): - The property was very dated and way over priced. bed was uncomfortable pillows were terrible. light over the sink didn't work. very convenient location but needs alot of work. could be a very nice place
- Carla (8/5): Very good - No breakfast was offered there! Update the commode, coffee pot was broke
- Geraldine (2/5): Won’t be a return guest unless a lot of cleaning takes place. Was happy to leave - The staff was friendly and the location was great The rooms are filthy, carpet was extremely filthy
Stayed for three days with no garbage removed by staff nor any cleaning done by staff. No clean towels expect the ones which were gotten by my husband from the front office
- Richard (3/5): Only as a last resort. - Location Older, run down
- Kathleen (9/5): Would stay again - Quiet, close to everything, clean Bed was too soft and could use a blanket instead of just a bedspread
- Larry (10/5): - Property was run down but clean. Stayed 2 nites for the price it was an aok facility..amenities are non existing....great for a short
recommend stay but wouldnt recommend for families with kids
- Kathleen (9/5): Superb - Everything....convenient, affordable, nice staff Bed was too soft
- Mary (8/5): - Needs a little TLC but can't complain for the price.
- Randy (6/5): - somewhat rundown but clean and quiet
- Samuel (10/5): - The lady that runs this place is AMAZING!
- Debra (10/5): Good stay - Our stay was comfortable the room was old but well furnished coffee pot, microwave , tv an fridge all clean, for the price it was good carpets an chairs an lamp shades could have been cleaner but it was a nice stay an saved us money. Staff was friendly an quiet environment with no bugs.we will return
- Dan (2/5): No wifi, no towels, live ins with unrestrained dogs - They were nice and friendly when I first checked in, but I was not feeling well after a stressful day of travel. They are pet friendly, so there was no issues with my service dog. My neighbor was a live in, they had a pit bull that they did not keep on a leash and everytime I stepped out of my room or was coming back to the room their dog would run up to me and / or my dog, they would claim, he "wouldn't hurt a flea" male uncut put bull, beautiful dog, not what I want running up on me or my service dog.
Didn't receive towels, I was passing through, and kind of felt like I was lost in nowhere, with a bates motel feeling.
Also, it advertises wifi, it was only available in the office.
- Shinn (8/5): Very good - Staff was friendly Microwave didn't work
- Terry (8/5): Very good - Location and affordability
- James (8/5): - I used a discount site to reserve the room and it worked out fine. The check-in was easy and the room access was great. The room was big enough, the bed comfortable, there was WiFi and cable. I'd stay there again.
- Sahil (10/5): - It’s was good
- Douglas (10/5): - Weak wifi
- Tony (6/5): - Outdated. Overpriced
- Charlotte (2/5): Relax Inn, Lewisburg - Booked for 2 nights. Arrived very late. Had to call a # for someone to get out of bed and check us in. Got to room. Absolutely disgusting. Black hair everywhere. Vomit all over bathroom door. Telephone and nightstand caked with crud. Black hair in tub and on floor. I was in shock. I have never seen such deplorable conditions in a hotel/motel! We had to stay the first night, trying to sleep in our clothes and shoes. Demanded refund for room, but was only given less than of what would have been the 2nd nights stay. Shameful.
- Gregory (8/5): - Place to rst and sleep but the room needs to be inspected at the floor and the walls.
- Carla (6/5): - I had an okay stay. The bed was not queen size. Was not a full size refrigerator. The beds are awful. Other than that, the stay was fine.
- Raymond F (8/5): - " Quiet and Affordable."
- Cheryl (2/5): - It’s hard to express how filthy this property is. I can deal with old, needs to be updated, etc but filth I cannot deal with.
