- Bodvar (10/5): - Loved it. Will be back.
- Daniel (6/5): - Ice pool and hot tub. Rooms are severely out dated
- Jessica (3/5): Terrible - Nothing hot tub broke pool was cold. Room stunk like stale smoke. Everything
- Jennifer (10/5): Relaxing, quiet, staff is very nice and close to all the restaurants, beach, and activities! - Everything
- Danjou (10/5): - Staff was amazing
- Danjou (10/5): - The Staff was very helpful
- bellabK7512UY (10/5): Wonderful, affordable stay in Kennebunkport - Had a wonderful stay at the Rhumb Line Resort! It's a fantastic, affordable option in Kennebunkport. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and having access to both the indoor and outdoor pools was a huge plus. It's perfectly located.Quiet and tucked away, but just a quick drive or bike ride right into the heart of Dock Square. Highly recommend!"
- Joan (9/5): Except for the toilet, Rhumb Line exceeded my expectations. - Breakfast was surprisingly good because there were "real" chewy bagels. What a treat! Also, flavored creams for coffee. Good tea selection. Other items were good, too.
The bed was very comfortable. Room temperature controls worked well. The toilet was so low! I have a bad back and fake knees so it was EXTREMELY difficult to get up and down on the toilet. I was concerned I might be stranded there.
- Rafael (9/5): -
- Amy (5/5): - The food at the restaurant all tasted overcooked. It was simply not good.
- Braxton (5/5): Peaceful and fun - The pool and outdoor eating area are great, location is great. Room felt dated and not well maintained.
It’s a great place to stay, just feels like it’s overdue for a little updating.
- Amy (9/5): -
- Mary (8/5): Very good. I would return. - Room was great. Nice feature having a door to an outside deck. Safe and refrigerator were a bonus!
Melanie was very nice and helpful
- Greg (5/5): - HOT TUB WAS NICE NO WARM FOOD OTHER THAN BAGELS AND MUFFINS
- Shelly B (10/5): Great location - Loved the family atmosphere
- Cynthia (9/5): we were celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary - The Manager was the Best, She Printed our boarding pass for us. Told us about excellent restaurants, and places to see in Kennebunkport.
- Daphne (10/5): - Breakfast was fine. The rooms and decor could be up dated and brightened to the current time. Were a little dingy looking.
- charles (10/5): -
- Lisanne (7/5): -
- Delina (10/5): - It was beautiful
- Brittany (7/5): - Breakfast was a little lame. Just bagels and packaged muffins. No eggs, bacon, or sausage. No protein really…. The carpet and some of the furniture was wicked outdated and old. Balcony was nice but would have been better if there was a screen door to keep bugs out
- Erin (7/5): Nice hotel but it needs a little upkeep. - The outdoor pool and bar was exceptional. We had an issue with the "maid" not coming one day and when they came the next day they made the beds with the same sheets and blankets that were on the beds, changed the trash and replaced the towels. The floors/carpets were not touched. There was a birds nest on our deck with babies in it so there was a lot of bird poop on the deck under the nest. Obviously you can't help nature but when I mentioned it to one of the staff she seemed upset that I was asking it to be cleaned up. She did come over and clean most of it with a rag but there was still plenty of it left and no one came the rest of the week to clean it up. I feel like it should have been tended too so we didn't have to walk around it everyday, and we could enjoy relaxing on the deck without smelling it. Also there was weeds that were so grown out they were coming up through the deck boards.

- Svetlana (8/5): -
- Donna (7/5): Christmas Prelude Girls Getaway - The staff was very friendly & helpful. Breakfast was good. Nothing elaborate, but enough to pick from to start your day.
Room was clean, but a bit outdated. Loved the hygiene products they provide. Unfortunately the noise level and kids running around late at night woke us up each night.
Also, the inside hot tub was out of order due to someone breaking a bottle or glass in it.
Also the bed was very hard and not too comfortable in our room.
- Laurie (6/5): - Enjoyed the outdoor hot tub
- Christoph (8/5): -
- Michelle (4/5): never again - breakfast was terrible; facilities need major updating; bed was uncomfortable
- Marianne (10/5): Great place to stay.A real find -
- christiane308 (6/5): Affordable base to explore the area. Totally unremarkable. - The place was clean.
It was straight out of a 1980s teen romcom a la dirty dancing. I could totally imagine a bunch of waspy teens running around the pool deck during summer vacation while their parents drank martinis.
Oh! The locker rooms in the basement.....1980s teen horror movie!
We only used the free breakfast for one day because it was....uninspiring. Yogurt, bagels, hard-boiled eggs.
The staff at the desk was very friendly and helpful! Can't fault the staff. Just no investment in the property over the years.
- Jennifer (5/5): In need of repair and major update - Location is amazing & that is it. The bathroom had TONS of black mold, which they really need to address. Very dated and needs to be updated. Looks like it hasn't since the 80's or 90's. Old linens, old furniture, old mattresses. Especially for the prestigious area and the cost (this rooms value should be maximum 70 a night not 200+, even for the area. It was a DUMP and shocked at the level of mold that was showing (let alone what you aren't even seeing. I had paid in advanced through booking.com then upon of arrival they charged me 3.00 dollars. When I asked why I owed 3.00 dollars (found it to be an odd amount owed) they mentioned it was gratuity for them, and that people don't travel with cash so they need to leave it on a card. Isn't that up to the patron if they want to leave gratuity vs a charge that is owed? Just pay your staff a reasonable amount. I wouldn't recommend this place. Seems like a slumlord owns it and doesn't care cause it's in a great area to do any repairs or updates.
- ksd04609 (5/5): Good location, but needs updating and new mattresses - Staff was friendly, location good, breakfast was decent, and I liked having a balcony. Hot tub looked a little grungy so we didn't use it. There were noisy people in the courtyard -- loud voices and loud music -- both nights we were staying there who didn't shut up until around 11pm. I shouldn't have to call and complain about that; it should have been dealt with immediately by staff. (It was seriously that loud.) Also the mattresses were really hard and uncomfortable the rooms need updating. Not worth the price we paid. I can see how families would love this place, but not great for a romantic weekend for two.
- Ivan (5/5): -
- Don (7/5): Nice location, clean, friendly and helpful staff - Breakfast was adequate Bed was very firm
- Rancourt (7/5): -
- Paul (10/5): - Great stay !
Close to center !
Very nice area!
- James (3/5): Quiet. Basic. Dated. - It was quiet. The bed was comfortable. Our third floor room had a balcony where we could get fresh air. The lobby was inviting and the common outdoor facilities were attractive. We were greeted warmly and given directions and advice. It seemed understaffed and a bit neglected, perhaps because it was off-season. Continental breakfast was very basic and not restocked. Our third floor King room needed revitalization. It was an older room that was musty, with the strong smell of the over-chlorinated swimming pool downstairs.
- Josh (8/5): The jacuzzi was the main attraction for this property and it delivered! - The indoor pool and jacuzzi were great after a long day sightseeing. The outdoor jacuzzi was also great after it got too hot in the inside one. As a family of 4 we needed the two double bed room. However, it would be nice to have the rooms updated to queen size beds, as a double size doesn't fit two adults very well.
- Judy (8/5): -
- RANDY (5/5): Definitely won't be staying there on next trip. - Breakfast was a bust. Location was good for what we were there for Beds were terrible. Lumpy and uncomfortable. Indoor pool looked like it needed a good cleaning. Cold cereal and toast wasn't exactly what I was expecting as breakfast. Place smelled musty.
- Dan Mullaly (8/5): -
- Barclay (7/5): -
- Bill (5/5): Good for a night - The location was nice.
The breakfast barely met min standards.
The interior was not senior friendly. Too many stairs and floor elevation changes.
The front door was extremely difficult to open.
The floors were warped and the shower pan was cracked.
It’s just an old place that needs a renovation.
- Larry (10/5): -
- Becky (10/5): - Nice,quiet but convenient to everything.
- Judith (10/5): - We loved the pool and room accomodations. Our room had a private balcony for relaxing and reading. The indoor pool was awesome and we used it every day. Friendly, helpful staff members made us feel right at home. We'll be back!
- Joy (2/5): - The woman who checked us in was snarky for no apparent reason. Even my husband asked what I had done to irritate her. We were early for check in and I told her if we were too early it wasn't a problem as long as my husband could log onto the Wi-Fi for a Zoom meeting. She said she could check us in and since I had paid extra for a poolside room, I thanked her. She put us in the worst poolside room possible, in the very back corner with a bush in front of the patio so it was very dark and dirty. The interior of the room was meh, although the towels were nice. I do not recommend this hotel.
- Branda (10/5): - Hot tub was large and hot, feeling great at the end of the day.
- Susan (7/5): - Great for a family, indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs, located in the middle of a very expensive vacation area, but still reasonably priced for what you get
- Mario (10/5): - Quaint motel near town,
- Bloxom (8/5): -
- Debra (8/5): Good value, nice but dated - Staff very nice, room location great and beds very comfortable Facility dated and smelled musty
- Cheryl (4/5): - It was very dirty. The carpet was dirty, rooms smelled
- valérie (5/5): - Le balcon et la vue sur la piscine étaient sympa. La chambre est vieillotte. La moquette est tachee. Le petit-déjeuner était peu copieux. Il y avait pas beaucoup de choix
- Jeanine (10/5): - I do mot use thé gym! Thé parking is perfect.
- Virginia (8/5): I wouks - The breakfast room was very nice and we were very satisfied with what was offered.
The room was just right for us. The bathroom was kind of small but workable. A bigger bathroom.
- Marilyn (6/5): - The pools looked like they had algea. No elevator and we were on 3rd floor. The carpets were gross and outdated. The ice machines didnt work, the air cinditioner didnt work and you didnt get room service unless you put sign out and they only changed the towels. It was nice and quiet but wasnt worth the money.
- Gregory (8/5): - Everything was nice. Room was comfortable as were the beds.
- Thomas E (10/5): - Comfortable and good breakfast
- Rhonda (6/5): - The Rhumb Line did not have beach access as I was expecting. The room was clean and the outdoor pool was very nice. But the rest of the resort was in need of a little cosmetic attention. Nice quiet setting.
- Giordano (10/5): - Great place wish we were staying longer
- robertson (6/5): Location was nice pretty setting - Liked the breakfast area
Liked the lobster bake are area and fire pit Bar area and fire pit area not open
- Droney (10/5): -
- Bart (8/5): -
- Mark (10/5): - This is an older property but the staff is very helpful, the rooms are clean and comfortable. The property is convenient to walk to restaurants, shops on commercial street
- Cathy (7/5): To sum up stay I would stay again when weather is a little better to enjoy the outdoor pool and eating area they have wh - The balcony was nice to have and the indoor outdoor pool and jacuzzi. Could use some updating on the indoor pool and jacuzzi, outdoor also. The bathroom is small and the toilet could be higher. Tub could use updating.
- Azaima (6/5): Hard to open the door - The room had everything I needed. Noisy people at night. No elevator. Had to drag a heavy bag up 3 flights of stairs. The door lock was unreliable. I had to wave my card in front of it for a long time before it decided to open. Bed was comfortable.
- Michael (10/5): Definitely would recommend a stay here. - Property was close to everything and very private. Had a great pool. The breakfast was a nice start to the day. The carpet in the room was older and my allergies seemed to act up. Everything else was great.
- Christopher (5/5): Adequate - Room was clean and quiet, bed was comfy, shower was great The knob came off the wardobe, the lighthouse table in the room had a broken leg, the sink drained slowly. The hot tub wasn't all that hot and the jets cut off midstream. Breakfast was horrible: ie, overdone boiled eggs (they were green!), genetically modified muffins, the "yoghurt" wasn't really yoghurt it was called Light and Fit and was basically milk and starch and sugar, Overa;; very disappointing especially for the price over the labor day weekend
- Mary kay (5/5): Basic lodging for a short stay with No frills for sure. - The breakfast was basic. Helpful to have with good coffee. The location was great! The linens were scratchy and smelled like bleach and not in a good way. The facility is very outdated.
- Janet (10/5): - A great stay thanks.
- Kevin (10/5): -
- Cesar (7/5): -
- Catherine (8/5): - Sufficient
- Pete (8/5): A good location with good amenities - indoor and outdoor pools and hot tubs.
On site bar and food.
- Caitlin (9/5): -
- Laurie (2/5): - We were celebrating our 35th anniversary with a trip to Maine. I had a bad feeling as we lugged our gear up 4 flights of stairs which had not seen a vacuum in weeks. When we opened the door to our room, I literally burst into tears. The odor was overwhelming, the wallpaper peeling and I'm pretty sure there was feces on the shower curtain. The free breakfast consisted of hard boiled eggs, a community bowl of melon, packaged muffins, instant oatmeal and bagels (if you were lucky). They claimed to have a restaurant and 2 bars on site, but we were told at check-in that those would probably not be open because they had no staff. We were booked for 4-long nights and I thought I would never get the stench out of my hair. Definitely do not recommend.
- Laura (10/5): - Very family freindly
- Johnson (6/5): -
- Kelly (10/5): -
- Borgal (8/5): Perfect for a quick trip - Outside hot tub, friendly staff. Breakfast could be improved with a waffle machine and better juice selection
- Kari (8/5): - The property definitely could use some updates and a hot breakfast would be nice
- Véronique (6/5): - Déjeuner, piscine, spa, environnement boisé Propreté de la chambre: plusieurs coins avec des toiles d'araignées, odeur d'humidité.
Les équipements sont figésa dans les années 90, nécessité de renouveler.
- George (8/5): - The outside area around the pool and bbq was great, and people seemed to really enjoy it. Inside hot tub was wonderful, especially after a long drive. But the property is in need of some upkeep (painting, brick maintenance, etc) as well as some improvements/upgrades to their continental breakfast and vending machines. Staff members at the front desk were really friendly and helpful. Overall a very pleasant stay, and a short drive to free parking (and short walk from there) for Dock Square.
- Eunice (2/5): Not what it seems/false advertising - needs a lot more attention and maintanance - the location is nice but that’s all they got going for them but not worth the money. You can get something else for better price. Outside pool is nice but needs treatment. It’s super outdated, the room was pretty nasty, and it smelled like mold. The carpet was old and dirty everything seems wet like if it takes a lot of floods. Rates are price for what you get. Shower flooded a lot, pools were pretty dirty. They don’t maintain properly. We actually left early and they didn’t refund us the remaining time. Our tip sheet had some stain. The pool once in it with goggles you can see all the dead skin and cloudy.
- Trisha (10/5): - The people and place was great!!
- John T (7/5): Good stay location was great but place needs updating - Not great needs better toaster kept burning muffins Place needs updating! And gym was closed and sauna was locked up place would have been a 5 star if it was updated
- Gail (6/5): Would be amazing place if up dated - Location
Pool Old hot tubs and badly needs renovations
Outdoor bar service bad—poor woman needed help!
Waited and hour to be served
- Sharon (8/5): -
- Beverly (4/5): - Old and smelled
- Richard (6/5): -
- Julian (8/5): - The pool and outdoor bar to hang out. They served a beautiful and affordable lobster. The room needs some love.
- Joseph (6/5): - Our stay was ok. The breakfast was continental but poor quality.
The property is in disrepair with siding coming off.
- Kathleen (10/5): - We had fun!! Will be back!
- Zeiner (9/5): Fabulous! We always stay at the Rhumb Line! - Love the pool and the bar at the pool.
Laid back, relaxing, fun! The computers went down at the bar one night, but it was no problem because we charged everything to the room!
- Mary (8/5): -
